Hemos desayunado mientras esperábamos a que fuera la hora de nuestra excursión a los arrecifes. Los platos que hemos tomado han sido de los mejores de nuestro viaje, elaborados creando una combinación de sabores estupenda, además los propietaros son muy amables.

Cenamos a las en la noche una pasta riquísima con camarones y las bebidas naturales están riquísima!

Volvería muchas muchas veces ! Fuimos a almorzar y pedimos unas pastas Alfredo (que estaba 2x1!), en mi caso le agregué pollo por un costo extra súper accesible. La porción abundante, el sabor increíble ! (Gracias Diego en la cocina), venía acompañado con una tostada de pan sabroso por demás. Buenos precios, excelente relación precio calidad. Durante nuestras vacaciones fuimos en dos ocasiones a desayunar y es muy recomendable. Calidad precio muy buena ya que para lo bueno que está todo y el servicio cuidado y atento que prestan es económico. Todos los camareros fueron encantadores, pero especialmente Juan, fue muy atento.

This place is realllyy good If you’re looking for local cuisine I highly recommend this place. I got the stuffed fish. It was incredible. My niece got the fish and chips and mango smoothie. They were very accommodating with her smoothie, leaving out the milk and offering her more of it since they had more in the blender. Chatted with Maria, the host and really enjoyed our evening. Everything was delicious and the staff was super nice and funny. Speaking to us in both English and Spanish so everyone could practice. We left feeling like family.

AJAL COFFEE quickly became one of our absolute favorite spots on the island. We loved it so much we ended up eating there multiple times! Gercon and Juan—as seen in our picture—were absolutely amazing. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely fun, they made every visit memorable and made us feel right at home. What makes AJAL even more special is that it’s a locally owned, family-run restaurant, and you can truly feel the love, pride, and warmth in everything they do. The food was unbelievable. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. Their sauces were some of the best I’ve ever had in Mexico—I would’ve bought a bottle on the spot! And the molcajete… next-level. Sizzling, rich, and bursting with flavor, easily one of the best dishes we had on our entire trip. If you’re in Isla Mujeres, you have to stop at AJAL COFFEE. Fantastic food, exceptional service, and the kind of local, family-run gem you’ll want to visit again and again. Highly recommend!

Great location and good food. Juan and his wife were very friendly and attentive. We got the chilaquiles, a sandwich, and blueberry cheesecake. All of which were delicious. The cheesecake had an almost Flan like texture that made for a perfect light end to the meal.

The waffle was sweet but not too sweet and mixed well with the avocado and egg. The burrito was the perfect size and blend of flavors. We also had the strawberry lemon fresh water and carnal Frappuccino and both were amazing. I got another strawberry lemon water to go.

We arrived at 10am on a Tuesday and there was no wait. We were warmly welcomed and had coffee on the table within a few minutes of sitting down. My wife and I shared the fruit and yogurt bowl and the Ts'ikin Waffle. They brought out a side of honey and a side a salsa verde. Everything was amazing. The bacon was perfectly crispy. The waffles were fluffy. The savory cream cheese was completely new to me and truly special. I could eat a whole bowl of it. The honey was sweet and tangy. The salsa was limey and spicy but not overwhelming. The fruit was fresh, as was the yogurt and cream for the coffee. 5 stars for food and service, 4 for atmosphere only because of the physical limitations of the space. Food and service this good deserves a bigger location. Juan was delightful to talk with, as was his serving compadre. They truly understand good food and pride in service and it shows in their reviews (as it should)

Gerson provided wonderful service - so friendly and nice. Open at 7am for us early risers, this place has everything you could want from American breakfast to Myan specialities, plus excellent (bottomless) coffee. Cute little patio outside and air conditioning inside! I've never seen longoniza on a menu on the island before and theirs is from Valladolid! Very happy making. Go!

Wow, this was GOOD! The food was fresh.. and so much was made in house, from the honey to the chipotle sauce. Everyone was so friendly, and we got to know the owners of this small authentic Mayan restaurant. We went to a few of the bigger restaurants, which were great, but this is truly the most authentic of the Mexican cuisines here. Muy Rico!!!!

Did a quick Google search for what was open at this time of the morning and this guy came right on top 5.0, wow, so I had to check it out. A cute little cafe where we were greeted with a big good morning, sat immediately and introduced himself and provided the menus, everything is spot on service. Oh, my gosh. It couldn't have been better now for the food. Just look at the photos. This food is excellent one of the best breakfasts I've ever had, especially in Mexico where I've had some really good ones. This one knocks it out of the park, these guys know how to make great for food that is fresh. You can taste it and every bite. Here's the thing, this is a cute little cafe surrounded by all these monsters buffet places. I saw people taking a glance at the little cafe and then shaking their heads and saying no to themselves. I'm not sure what they think they're seeing, but they really should walk right in and enjoy. If you're on this island, you must try this place with its great food and coffee's all made to order.
