Absolutely wonderful. Great atmosphere, quiet, good service. We came for brunch, but will definitely be back for dinner. I had the avocado toast, which came with poached eggs and was served over greens and fresh fruit. Eggs were perfectly cooked. My husband had the Eggs Benedict with hash browns. Delicious and the hash browns were crispy. A basket of bread with two jellies was served beforehand, reminiscent of our European vacations. They have a selection of tea, and serve it with a pot of hot water which was enough for three cups of tea
I simply cannot say enough great things about Cafe Benedict!! We have been here several times and it never ever disappoints. The food is always amazing, the staff is always kind and professional! Special thank you to Mr. Vahid and his manager who were very very patient with our planning for mom's surprise 65th birthday party. They were able to change the room we were in to accommodate more people just a few days before. When I came to set up balloons I was thrilled with the beautiful setup they had prepared for our guests. The small details were very much appreciated. Just a truly great local place for lunch or dinner. Easily will become your new favorite. We love them!
I highly recomend come here with your favorite people to talk. We visited the place in the evening. Iluminations was low light and the music was live piano. Really great ambiance for a warming meeting. There were many regular customers around. For food we tried the Greek Salad, the Lobster Bisque and the Grilled Asparagus Sub. Ingredients tasted fresh and full of flavor. The menu has a good variety of dishes, from small apetizers, healthy salads, casual burguers to more complex gourmet dishes. They also have a good variety of beers and wines. They have a happy hour from 4pm to 7pm. Very convenient to know for my next visit. But, I also would like to try their famous brunch.
This is my third time here tonight and the food still has not failed me. I have had the chicken piccata the lamb Gyro, the Greek salad they can’t go wrong here. Everything is delicious and Fahed. The manager is awesome very friendly and welcoming to all customers. this has become our number one go to place for my husband and I.
Went there on a weekday for dinner. We enjoyed a delightful dinner. We started off with their onion soup- which had to be among the best I've ever had. My guest ordered the Trout Amandine and I ordered the Chicken Piri Piri. Both were generously served and extremely good. Can't say enough on the gracious service. This is a great neighborhood restaurant not ne missed. Owner/Chef Vahid is always there and will make it memorable experience every single time. Also a great wine list!
First time here, my wife and I were amazed at how great the food was. She ordered an Angus Burger and I ordered a Gyro plate. The staff was amazing too, especially our waiter Eric who was very informative and attentive to us. Will definitely tell my family and friends about this gem! Definitely coming back.
I have been there a couple of times and I can confidently recommend the place! It is bery pacious, well-decorated and clean inside and the staff is obviously trained. They are vey polite and know theie job very well. The food is also very high quality and there is plenty to choose from on the menu. The menu deink is also various enough and drinks are professionally prepared. You should totally give ot a try!
I wish I had more stars to give this restaurant! The live pianist, beautiful decor, and friendly staff set an excellent atmosphere for the delicious brunch my husband and I enjoyed here. This is the kind of place you go to eat and fall in love. The spinach omelet was so flavorful and the creamy cheeses inside kept it so moist and delicious that I didn’t need any sauce on top. I also enjoyed the bagels with smoked salmon, capers, shallots, and cream cheese! I was pleasantly surprised by how light the meal felt. Thank you, Cafe Benedicte, for a lovely, memorable brunch!
Came here for lunch and was not disappointed by the food. The paella was fragrant, flavorful, and there were threads of saffron in the dish. The ingredients were fresh. The mussels, shrimps, calamari, chorizo, and chicken were perfectly cooked. The whole dish was delicious. The lamb shank was big, and super tender. The mash potato and green bean sides were good too. Baklava for dessert was the perfect ending. The phyllo pastry was crispy, thin, and flaky. The ground walnuts added extra texture, and the honey brought the dessert together. Scrumptious! The baklava was served with a small scoop of ice cream on the side. I have never eaten a baklava with ice cream so it was new to me. However, I found the ice cream to be unnecessary as the baklava was already a sweet dessert. I couldn’t taste the sweetness from the ice cream after eating just one small spoon of baklava. I received great service today and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The restaurant has an olden but modern look, and there are plenty of seats for small and big groups. There is plenty of parking too. I will be back for sure.
Found this cozy spot on my drive back to Austin. Going by the name, I was hoping to have the eggs Benedict at this place. However, it seems like this dish is available only on weekends. The team went out of their way to make this dish for me on on Tuesday. The whole staff was absolutely amazing and checked up on me couple times. Definitely coming back here again. Cheers, all the good work. Oh, by the way, the eggs, Benedict tasted, amazing
Their appetizer calamari was amazing! A weekend dinner special (after 5pm) prime rib, medium rare, was perfect!! The meat was so juicy & tender on top of smooth yukon mashed potatoes. The au jus and horseradish sauce compliment this dish so wonderfully. This was my first time visiting & it was great for the atmosphere and live piano music. The next time I'm in town, I want to try their brunch menu next.
Our 7-mile trek through Terry Hershey Park left us famished, craving a brunch that could conquer any post-hike emptiness. Thankfully, Cafe Benedicte on Memorial Drive swooped in like a brunchtime hero. The aroma of deliciousness hit us as soon as we stepped inside. We dove straight into their menu, and let me tell you, Cafe Benedicte did not disappoint. Their Meat Lovers Skillet was a symphony of flavors, overflowing with perfectly seasoned meats. My friend who ordered the braised lamb shank couldn't stop raving about its melt-in-your-mouth tenderness after craving for it in the past 3 weeks! And the grilled lamb chops? Very thankful a friend let us try his chops order. Let's just say not a single morsel remained on the plate. But the true stars of the show were the staff. Attentive, friendly, and always helpful, they made us feel like brunch royalty. By the time we left, our appetites were sated, our spirits high, and we were already planning our next visit. Cafe Benedicte gets a ten out of ten from our happy (and full) hiking crew. I highly recommend it to anyone searching for a phenomenal brunch experience.
Benedict Restaurant is our favorite spot for brunch. We usually head there after Sunday Mass, as it's conveniently located near our church. The menu offers a wide variety of cuisines, and the prices are a great value for the quality and portion sizes you receive. One of the highlights of our visit is their delicious mimosas, along with a selection of other well-crafted cocktails and drinks. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, made even more special by live music—there's often a pianist, and sometimes even a violinist, playing soothing melodies as you enjoy your meal. It’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a delightful brunch experience.
I have lived near cafe Benedicte for about 7 years and I am so glad I finally came! It is a beautiful restaurant. They have a nice variety of options (I was torn on what to order!) and the chef/staff are very accommodating! I ordered the multigrain power bowl and loved it! A great example of eating healthy can be full of flavor, fresh, and comforting! I want to come back and try the legume bowl. I recommend supporting this local restaurant! It definitely wont take me 7 years to come back!
Lovely spot. I've enjoyed brunch here twice and am looking forward to trying something from their dinner menu one evening. There's a piano by the bar area and a quaint wine room for diners as well. Manny and Lucas have taken great care of us each time we've come. I definitely recommend a visit!
Excellent all the way around, food, service and staff. Appetizer was brie with fig jam. If you have not tried fig with brie this the place to try it. Went for prime rib night. 38.00 10 0z prime rib, mashed potatoes and veggies-meat cooked perfectly. The Lamb Shank was so tender along and the gravy made the dish. The lamb was not gamey or poingent. 5 0z filet mignon cooked to perfection . The seasoning was on point. Needed no salt, pepper. Ceasar Salad the dressing was so good. Dessert was unique Banana Fosters Bread Pudding. The whipped cream was delicious and the sauce on the bananas was so creamy and tasteful. Also they have a great bar menu reasonable priced. A piano player is playing in the background making it a relaxed atmosphere . I highly recommend giving this place a try....you will not be disappointed.
Nestled in a charming, intimate setting, this restaurant delivers an experience as delightful as the cuisine itself. From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere exuded warmth, sophistication, and an unspoken promise of a memorable meal. On a whim, my wife and I made reservations for what we hoped would be a great night out—and what we discovered was a hidden gem we’ll now consider a staple in our dining rotation. Breakfast here is nothing short of exquisite. Every bite bursts with freshness, a testament to the care and quality poured into each dish. We indulged in the eggs Benedict and the French toast, two classics that, in the hands of this kitchen, became revelations. The eggs Benedict were a masterclass in balance—perfectly poached eggs with silken yolks cascading over a pillowy English muffin, all crowned with a velvety hollandaise that carried just the right amount of richness. Each bite was layered, nuanced, and deeply satisfying. Then there was the French toast—arguably the best we’ve had in Houston. Thick, golden slices with crisped edges and a custardy interior, kissed with the perfect amount of sweetness. It was indulgent yet refined, each bite melting on the tongue like a warm embrace. This wasn’t just breakfast; it was an experience—one we’ll be returning for time and time again.
Have only been for their Sunday brunch, but it is my favorite brunch spot in town. Delicious food, great prices, excellent service, very pleasant atmosphere and the live piano music is such a nice touch. The caprese omelet is my fave, but everything we have had here is great.
We went for brunch and were not disappointed with the food or service. We ordered chicken crepe with hollandaise and a spinach and bacon omelet with fruit. Both were prepared well and both were stuffed with veggies and chicken. Restaurant nice maintained and clean. We have been coming here for years and never disappointed.
Great place for tasty Mediterranean food. I had the gyro and it was super flavorful! The service was top notch. They provided great recommendations when asked and the atmosphere was warm, welcoming and personal. Very nice for a date night or small business meeting as you can have conversation without being drowned out by restaurant noise.
It was my first time and loved it. As owner of Gonzales School of Languages I highly recommend this place. The ambiance was beautiful, the food and service were excellent.. i need to come when they play soft romantic Mediterranean live on piano. Can't wait to take my family. Try Paella and bread pudding.
As a regular of "cafe benedict's" they never fail to impress.Wonderful, drinks and dessert. The service is just outstanding!! Ps.I would advise making a reservation.
We went for brunch on a Sunday and thought it would be a casual diner vibe. It was much more upscale in a very welcoming way. I was not dressed appropriately (athleisure) but they did not care. White table linens, manager in suit, piano player, it was a lovely atmosphere for a nice Sunday brunch. Food was delicious! We had the American breakfast, avocado toast and a side of biscuits with gravy - plus a latte and cappuccino. Coffees made from a true espresso machine not a powdered machine. Our waitress Christina A was very kind and she checked on us regularly. The manager also checked on us. Highly recommend this restaurant. Can’t wait to go back for dinner!
I would go back for the stuffed mushroom appetizer alone. It was practically a meal by itself. It was generously portioned with roughly square inch cubes of steak. Absolutely Recommend It!!! Also I’d like to add this Is very dim lighting with a live piano player making a great spot for a romantic date night. Its very classy and the pricing is modest, I’d absolutely recommend it and I’ll be back again.
Great experience eating at this lovely restaurant. Food was great and service was excellent. Tried a cup of lobster bisque and lamb shanks. Both were excellent.
I went with my stepmom and we both enjoyed our time here, we spent probably 3h in the restaurant chatting and having some coffee and tea after our delicious lunch and the server was very friendly! The food is very good and it looks healthier than most places, I absolutely recommend trying Cafe Benedicte!
Great food and service! Loved the chorizo tacos.
Excellent. Nice music. Nice staff. Food is superb.
Café Benedict in Houston is a hidden gem for breakfast lovers! Their eggs Benedict is absolutely divine—perfectly poached eggs atop a rich, buttery hollandaise that’s bursting with flavor. The Meat Lovers Special is equally impressive, packed with hearty portions of bacon, sausage, and ham that hit all the right notes. Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere round out the experience, making this spot a must-visit for a satisfying start to your day.
MY mom had to sing at this place. She had forgot her extra shoes and asked me to bring them. First I would say the place needs to have a better parking lot it's very small. But it is definitely a grown and sexy type of atmosphere. Dress nice and go and have a great meal, great drinks and wonderful atmosphere and live music. Come check them out!!!!!! You won't be disappointed. Oh I almost forgot to tell you about the dish and drinks the Capellini, Moscato (was Very Very good) and an amoretto on the rocks.
The main dining room is still noisy when most tables are busy. The paella and couscous are excellent, served hot and plentiful, with lots of meats in them. The service is attentive and friendly, always helpful and accommodating. The desserts are always worth keeping room for, especially the creme brulee. And all that comes with live music on piano and sax, and reasonable prices for the times. It was again a great experience!
I was very glad that we chose Cafe Benedict! We had our baby shower at this establishment. And they provided excellent service! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was very welcoming, and the mimosas were on point! It's definitely worth it!
This is our go to place to eat!! We love Cafe Benedicte, the service is stellar, food is so good we eat here too often!! The staff is like family and the fun menu options that change every Wednesday night. Wednesday is Tapas night and they offer a special menu with items to share! They have a kids menu and high chairs. There is piano music every evening and during brunch. We have met so many nice people here too! The owner is always here, so quality of food, service and the environment are always top notch!! Try it, you will not regret it!!
I walked in and had to do a double take because there was a guy playing piano. I thought it was going I'm going to be a counter serve spot but ended up actually being a very lovely time. Great food, Eric at the bar was amazing, we'll definitely be back.
Went on Easter Sunday for brunch. All the staff was very friendly and polite. Love the Mediterranean panorama. The food was amazing. The menu made me want to order multiple items at once. Mac n cheese was to die for! (Smoked Gouda Cheese)
Food, Service was Great as always. What topped off the night was the genuine hospitality that Mr. Eric and the staff of Cafe Benedict provided.
Cafe Benedicte is one restaurant where I love taking my friends and clients. The food is wonderful and everyone I have taken has gone back with their friends and family. His Chicken Piccata is a superb blending of flavors and the most tender chicken you can have. I always have him add some asparagus to the plate. His lobster bisque is always relished by my guests and his lamb chops are a treat not to be missed. Another favorite dish is his lasagna and his rainbow trout is a big treat for my friends who enjoy seafood. The staff is amazing and it is not unusual to see Vahid the owner and chef assisting in taking care of customers and checking on their food.
If you’re looking for a brunch spot that truly redefines the art of indulgence, Cafe Benedict is your go-to. I mean, who wouldn’t want to experience eggs that are so perfectly cooked they practically demand a standing ovation? The crepes are so wonderful, they might just make you question every other brunch you’ve ever had. And the service? Let’s just say they treat you like royalty, with a smile so genuine you’d think they’re auditioning for a rom-com. The atmosphere is cozy enough to make you want to linger forever, and the menu is a playground of gourmet delights that let you customize your meal like a true brunch connoisseur. Plus, their mimosas, bellinis, and champagne offerings make it clear they take brunch very seriously-cheers to that! Now, after such a refined and delightful experience at Cafe Benedict, I’m practically buzzing with excitement to head over to Dave & Buster’s. Because what better way to balance out sophisticated dining than by unleashing your inner kid with some arcade games and maybe a few rounds of virtual reality? Sure, the games might be a bit pricey and the cards a tad overpriced, but hey, fun has its price, right? Plus, the food there is decent enough to keep you fueled for all the gaming action. So, here’s to a perfect day: starting with the elegance of Cafe Benedict’s brunch and ending with the playful chaos of Dave & Buster’s. Brunch and games-what more could you ask for?
My husband and I came here for dinner as we live in the area and always drive by. We got the Mediterranean trio which was a mix of 3 dishes of your choice. I absolutely loved the red snapper picatta (literally the best I’ve had). The food was delicious and we will definitely be back to try more.
Cafe Benedict offers a delightful dining experience with excellent food and service that leaves a lasting impression. I had the pleasure of enjoying their Sunday brunch, and it was a truly exceptional experience. The menu featured a variety of delicious options that catered to different tastes and preferences. The service at Cafe Benedict was top-notch - the staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made sure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. One of the highlights of my visit was the live piano music that accompanied our Sunday brunch. The soothing melodies created a relaxing and elegant ambiance, making the meal even more enjoyable. Overall, Cafe Benedict is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Whether you're looking for a casual meal or a special occasion, this cafe delivers on all fronts. I highly recommend Cafe Benedict for their excellent food, impeccable service, and charming atmosphere.
The best Benedict’s in Houston. Period! Very European feeling and great dinner as well
The food was delicious, loved the hummus and baked Brie starters . Chicken Marsella is good , Chicken Peri peri is good too just more on the sour side . The service and ambience was great and the live music added to the evening .we were a group of 5 couples , we got a private area on a Friday evening which was a plus .
I love everything about this place from the friendly bartenders to the delicious food offerings. Will return again and again and again. I even get it on DoorDash. So many options to choose from. I just try them all.
Have been planning on having lunch here for sometime and finally did and wish I had done so sooner! A friend joined me and we were both pleased with the selection and service along with a lovely atmosphere! I have to eat gluten free and their menu offered a nice selection! We both decided on the Caesar salad which was delicious and I can easily say the best I’ve ever had and my friend agreed! Looks like it would be great choice for any meal! Highly recommend!
👍
Muy rrica la comida la recomiendo
Un lugar muy elegante para disfrutar de un excelente almuerzo o romántica cena
Riquísimo, y muy buen servicio
We eat here often. The food is always delicious but tonight we just ordered calamari online. Still delicious. Owner and staff are all very friendly and accommodating.
Prime rib way very good, medium rare as requested! The baked Brie was awesome. Service was a bit odd as I had to ask three times if there was horseradish sauce included, but that was a minor issue.it was tasty too!
I was in town with a group of ladies and this restaurant was chosen for dinner. What an amazing place! With a party of 10 you never know, but service was top notch. Drinks were brought quickly. The food was excellent! The menu was extensive so most everyone got something different. We sat in the wine room, with floor to ceiling wine bottles. Felt very exotic and expensive, but the prices were reasonable. Love it! I highly recommend!
,5 stars for atmosphere and service. I had the Eggs Benedict. 3 stars for the ensemble. Poached Eggs perfect... Hash browns perfect... The ham was not flavorful and added nothing to the collective flavors. The hollandaise sauce was very light but blended well with the runny egg yokes. The English muffins were way too thick and acted more like sponge cake. My wife loved her avocado toast. We'll be back for the Mediterranean dinner menu.
I made a reservation here for 11:45 brunch, looks like they were not packed at all. The restaurant is very clean and classy, I really liked the Christmas tree and the piano and the background for the windows. It gave it a really nice warm atmosphere. I got sat immediately and our server did not seem very educated with the menu. He constantly had to check for the answers to our questions. these were just basic questions like is there a smaller version or an ala carte version of the French toast. Or is the crepe with two different kinds or do we get to choose. When we got a coffee refill, the other server didn't grab the cup, instead he refilled the cup on the table and spilled on to the table, almost hitting my boyfriend's hand. They served a plate of sliced bread with butter, citrus jam, strawberry jam and it was warm. I love the jam. I can definitely tell that these are homemade. The butter was extremely soft and this was great because I was starving at this moment. I ordered the following: Meat lovers skillet with grits Hawaiian French toast with hash browns Crepe duet The prices are pretty reasonable. I asked if the skillet had chopped potatoes or were they hash browns, and the service said it was chopped potatoes. This was incorrect. This dish was basically hash browns with bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, sausage, ham, bacon topped with 2 eggs. I was a little disappointed about the potatoes, but the flavors were surprising. I had a very nice smokey taste throughout the old dish and nice bites with vegetables and meat. The eggs were cook nicely, not overdone, and it all came out pretty quickly. This is a very hearty meal, you can get full off of this so maybe share it if you have someone who doesn't have a big appetite. We got this with grits and They were disgusting. There was no salt, basically tasted like rice porridge. 4/5 The Hawaiian French toast with hash browns I wish they added a protein to this meal. I ended up eating the skillet because it lacked that. Honestly, I definitely recommend this dish entirely. you really didn't even need syrup because it was already very sweet. The bread was extremely soft but perfectly panned fried. I liked how they put the butter on the side too. It was just really delicious. keep in mind that the hash browns are not crispy at all. You're basically getting the look of hash browns steamed. It lacked salt but thankfully they had that at the table. 5/5 The crepe duet had a nice flavor to them. The one with ham was probably my favorite because the Hollandaise sauce was in need of citrus. I think I would ask for the Hollandaise sauce on the side next time because the crepe in general with the chicken, mushrooms, spinach were perfect. The fruit or fresh and delicious. 4/5 Overall, this is a really nice place. I am wishing that next time I come back that they have a pianist. The atmosphere was very chill, great for people watching, and the food was presentable for sure.
We were looking for a restaurant near where we were, and found this one on Google Maps. It didn’t disappoint. The menu has several options. I had the Chicken Tartine, which was delightful. My wife enjoyed the lamb burger. The service was great and our server was attentive without being over the top. This is a repeat when we’re in the area.
This is a great venue for group events/outings. The food was good and the atmosphere and service was top tier! The staff was friendly and kind with our group. They have self parking 🅿️ on a free parking lot. Here’s my rating on the meals: *Savory Chicken Crepes: 3/5 *Breakfast Tacos: 3/5 *French Toast: 4/5 *Country Fried Steak: 3.5/5 *All American Breakfast: 4/5
The service here was excellent and the waiters were very attentive and kind. They were quick to refill drinks and bring out our food! The food itself was alright. The chicken was a little lackluster in flavor and the tabouli was not at all what I expected, instead, more akin to bulgur than anything. Overall, this was a decent stop for the day, but nothing that'll absolutely blow you away. Just easy eating with very excellent staff.
The food was really good. I had the couscous with steak, chicken and sausage and it was very good. Nice flavors. My hsuan d had the braised lamb and liked it a lot. While we had good service and good food the restaurant is so very loud. The acoustics are really bad that I really doubt I would go back.
Top class Lamb shank. Calamari was a bit salty. Do try the crepe brule. Something unique.
El lugar es lindo, el servicio excelente pero la comida no es muy sabrosa, no volvería.
Riquisimo!!!!
Ok.. So I wanted to wait a few days to do an honest review on Cafe Benedicte. Firstly, I brought my S/O here for his birthday as a surprise. The inside is nice but we wanted to be seated outside. Sadly the outside deck needs a little love to be equal to what you get inside. It's almost like two restaurants, inside little Italy, outside like a place you'd watch football at. So, based on reviews, they said they had the best Paella in town.. Im sorry to say that we also weren't blown away by the food as we had hoped for... For the prices you pay, we expected a little more love and care in the food. The Farfelle Luigi I ordered had no seasoning what so ever I even asked for salt and pepper (which came in tattered salt and pepper shakers also surprising). I also asked for softer garlic bread which was never brought out... And my S/O paella had big chunks of peppers in it, over done rice and tasted of the kind of sauce you'd get out of a ravioli can. And the plates weren't hot, something you'd expect with pasta dishes. I ended up spending $80 plus tip and he didn't even take his paella home and I gave my leftovers to my mother.. All in all.. I give the place and food 3.5. The waiter was kind and staff was attentive.. They just need more love and time put in the food and a redecoration of the patio area.
NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN!!!! - we came here for Father’s Day and everything was good until…… me and my kids food arrived and my husband’s didn’t….. I finished my food and his food was still missing….. nobody communicated with us, the manager was very busy cleaning tables never looked over to us…. When the chef finally bring the missing dish I was very upset and I told him we came here to celebrate Father’s Day and the service was unacceptable to which he replied: “stop ruining your husbands day” I totally lost it!!!! I didn’t ruin anything he did!!!! Our food was free, we got a free cake and we also got a $50 gift card which I never plan to use….. I had a horrible experience!
