Trattoria splendida, personale gentilissimo e pronto a consigliarti e a spiegarti tutto, ambiente curato e cibo superlativo. Me l'ha fatta scoprire un collega poco tempo fa e non mancherò di tornarci.

Eravamo semplicemente 4 amici di Bergamo in gita a Firenze alla ricerca della Fiorentina con la F maiuscola. Abbiamo trovato questo ristorante. Siamo rimasti increduli dinanzi alla maestria del personale nel condire e servire quella succulenta chianina da 2kg. Ghiotti come siamo l'abbiamo finita in un battibaleno. Inoltre da sottolineare la disponiblità dello staff, che ha tenuto il ristorante aperto oltre l'orario di chiusura, senza metterci fretta. Ci tengo a sottolineare che le nostre papille gustative si sono sentite in paradiso. Assolutamente da provare!!

Ottimo ristorante nel centro di Firenze, a pochi passi dal Duomo. Cucina tipica toscana, la fiorentina era eccezionale. Ottimi i dolci. La carta dei vini davvero spettacolare (hanno anche il Sassicaia) Il personale è estremamente gentile.

Ristorante molto accogliente, pulito e curato. Personale gentile e competente. Abbiamo mangiato un'ottima bistecca alla fiorentina (tagliata e condita davanti a noi) accompagnata da un buon bicchiere di vino consigliato da loro. Prezzo più che onesto, ci torneremo sicuramente nel nostro prossimo viaggio a Firenze

Location elegante nel cuore di Firenze. il proprietario e tutto lo staff vi accompagneranno in un percorso culinario spettacolare … dai gusti delicati e speciali. La qualità dei prodotti , dal tartufo alla carne , sono sublimi . Consiglio di provare !!!

Tappa obbligatoria a Firenze. Tagliere squisito con prodotti buonissimi e fiorentina ottima. Crema di mascarpone con lingue di gatto assolutamente da provare. Il servizio è professionale ma ti fanno sentire a casa.

Super consigliato ,se vuoi uscire dalla bolgia dei ristoranti turistici e approdi qui non puoi pentirti! I piatti sono davvero buoni e materie prime e tecniche di cottura davvero ottime! Provare l’ossobuco alla fiorentina con purè di patate (patate schiacciate) e’ stata un ottima esperienza. Il servizio è attento gentile e garbato Lo consiglio

Situata in via Zannoni, una delle contrade di Via dell’Ariento, è una trattoria che propone piatti tipici toscani con un tocco di innovazione. Il millefoglie alla melanzana ne è già un buon esempio: ottimo antipasto. I poco al ragù di cinghiale aromatizzati al finocchio sono un’altra specialità da provare. Ottime anche le pappardelle al cinghiale. Ho avuto modo poi di assaggiare mare e terra: il polpo alla griglia è accompagnato da una crema di ceci molto delicata. Il filetto alla crosta di mandorle tenerissimo e gustoso. Per non parlare dei dessert: semifreddo al pistacchio e tiramisù si sono rivelati delle ottime scelte. Su richiesta si può anche avere una pinta di spremuta d’arancia. Porzioni abbondanti e ben presentate, il personale è accogliente e professionale. Vicino al mercato centrale, in una posizione forse non visibilissima ma neanche nascosta: vale comunque la pena cercarlo.

Ottimo ristorante!! Siamo stati lì a mangiare due sere, la prima sera abbiamo preso i pici al ragù d'anatra, le pappardelle al ragù di cinghiale, il tortino al cioccolato e la panna cotta ai frutti di bosco. Tutto davvero molto buono!! La seconda sera una fantastica fiorentina, in particolare il menù dedicato per due persone con il tagliere di salumi, la macedonia e un bicchiere di vino. Anche in questo caso siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti!! Super consigliato!!

Fiorentina a Firenze? Una scelta non banale perché “ovunque c’è un’insegna con scritto Fiorentina” ma se vuoi scegliere un posto dove non essere un turista ma una “persona” pronta a vivere ”un’esperienza” ricca di gusto e di anedoti, devi andare a “la falterona” e spero che tu possa incontrare il signor Claudio. Lui ci ha guidati tra sbriciolona, Fiorentina con patate, Chianti e cantucci con la professionalità di un grande esperto della sua Toscana e con la cortesia e il garbo di chi vuole farti innamorare di questo posto. Qui non ci sono turisti, ma “amici”. Mangiate qui la Fiorentina e fatevi raccontare la magica storia della “finocchiona” e soprattutto vivete il tutto con passione di cuore e mente. Firenze non è una città, è un viaggio tra ciò che sei e ciò che puoi essere, tra ciò che mangi e ciò che il cibo evoca nella tua anima. Consigliatissimo!!!!

Un ristorante non turistico nel centro di Firenze. Tutto davvero molto buono! Il souffle di parmigiano e il filetto in crosta di mandorle da provare assolutamente! E poi il cameriere Marco fa la differenza! Il prezzo è ovviamente commisurato a quello che abbiamo mangiato e bevuto.

If I could give this place more than five stars, I would. From start to finish, LA FALTERONA was an absolute gem — the kind of restaurant that makes you rethink every other “five-star” you’ve ever given. Our waiter Matteo was outstanding — not only friendly and attentive but a true wine expert who guided us through an incredible selection of regional wines that perfectly matched each dish. His passion for Tuscan wine and cuisine made the whole experience even more special. To start, we had the 24-month aged Parmesan soufflé, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it might be one of the best things I’ve ever eaten in my life — and my wife actually agrees with me, which is rare! For mains, we had the pici with beef ragù and the lasagna, both of which were nothing short of perfection. Easily the best we’ve ever had — or at least tied for the top spot anywhere in Italy. We insisted we didn’t want dessert… but then came the caramel pannacotta, and let’s just say if I lived anywhere near this restaurant, I’d be in serious danger of developing diabetes. It was that good. This is truly one of those rare finds where everything — the food, the service, the atmosphere — comes together flawlessly. It makes me a little sad that I’ve already handed out other five-star reviews, because LA FALTERONA deserves to stand alone at the top. Hands down, the best restaurant we’ve found in all of Florence.

We had an incredible dinner at La Falterona! The Florentine steak was absolutely amazing. It was hands down the best steak my husband and I have ever had. Prior to cooking the steak, they bring it out to the table for you to look at and then once it is cooked, they cut it in front of you at your table. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We left completely satisfied and can’t wait to come back next time we are in Florence. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful dining experience! This family-owned restaurant is truly a hidden gem. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that made us feel right at home. Amalia and Matteo were amazing! we were drawn into the place with Matteo's subtle sense of humor as we walked past. The customer service was outstanding — attentive without being overbearing, and you could tell they truly care about their guests. And the Spaghetti... absolutely amazing! Perfectly rich in flavor, and clearly made with love and fresh ingredients. It’s rare to find a place that combines delicious, authentic food with such a welcoming, family atmosphere. Ended up here by chance. We where supposed to go to another restaurant but didn't really liked the area or atmosphere it was in. So we walked around and liked the look, the menu and the reviews of this one. And, it didn't disappoint at all. The tartar with truffle was amazing. I wanted also to try the wild boar ragu while in Florence and it was really good. My only complain about the pasta dish is as usual here that I wish they gave a bit more. The atmosphere with little lights and white cloths on the tables together with good service from the waiters also deserves a mention.

Tucked away in a back street near the central market, this is a lovely restaurant, we visited twice and on both occasions had the Fiorentine steak. Outstanding experience, staff are friendly, particularly Marco, who is a charming and amusing man. Great wine list too. I made the mistake of ordering Spaghetti from the Primi menu before the main of the steak. The Spaghetti on its own was superb, but I sadly had to abandon it, as I knew I had literally bitten off more than I could chew. There are SO many good restaurants in Florence (more in other reviews) but La Falterona was up there as one of the best for us. Very enjoyable and thanks to all the staff.

Update May '25: It's been a year since our visit (review below), and we were staying in Bologna for the Imola F1 race, so we had to make a side trip to Firenze for Florentine steak. The same great food, the same great staff- Ristorante La Falterona does not disappoint. Original review, May'24: The best steak we ever had! Amazing quality food and you can tell the care they have for both service and quality. From the small touches, like positioning the orange slices perfectly in people's drinks, to the warm plates, to the big things, like an amazing staff and high quality food, they were simply perfection. The cost may be high for some, but it's worth it. We already made reservations for tomorrow.

Was rather empty when we entered for a dinner (we were a bit earlier) but soon it packed up. Very nice and friendly service and good food. The appetisers were good (salami, cheese, buffalla) but the mains were amazing. We had past and beefsteaks with truffles and ot was delicious. We asked for nice rounded yet light red wine and we were given smt. that went well with meet and pasta. This is restaurant a bit from main tourist attractions but worthwhile to go a bit of the main touristic streets.

The Florentine steak is incredible. Make sure that you are hungry if you're ordering this giant piece of meat. The pasta dishes are on point. I can't remember which we ordered but my wife loved them. The waiters are the most romantic characters, kept us laughing and smiling the whole time. Such a great romantic dinner for two.

Food was good, we tried the chicken breast with white wine sauce and the very soft and tender, the shrimp pasta was well cooked and flavoured perfectly. Loved the Tiramisu the dessert was not too sweet, to my liking. It’s located also very close the Florence central market and easily accessible. The staff is also very courteous and helpful.

The location of this restaurant is good. it is centrally located. The place has a quiet vibe. Servers are experienced and professional. Wine list is long and extensive. For two people, we ordered an appetizer, first and second course, bottle of wine, and desert paid around 125€. This includes a 1.4 Kg bistecca alla fiorentina and potatoes for two. Food tasted excellent and service was fast. I would say that value for money given the location and taste. Check pictures.

Buon ristorante in centro a pochi minuti a piedi dalla stazione di santa Maria Novella. Abbiamo assaggiato le trofie con pesto di pistacchi e pomodorini, molto buoni, il sapore dei pistacchi è delicato e prevale quello del basilico che io però ho apprezzato molto. I tagliolini con i funghi sarebbero stati ottimi se i funghi non avessero avuto tanta "sabbia" all'interno che di conseguenza è finita anche nella pasta. L'abbiamo fatto presente al cameriere gentilissimo che ci ha fatto le sue scuse. Buoni anche i secondi, petto di anatra e petto di pollo con verdure, così come i dolci, nella media. Il locale all'interno è molto carino e pieno di quadri e riproduzioni famose come la creazione e la gioconda. Servizio ottimo e personale gentile. Non mi è piaciuto molto il bagno che ha un finestrino di affaccio sulle cucine e non mi sembra il massimo ma se la disposizione del locale è fatta così.. pazienza!

I walked into the restaurant, said I didn’t have a reservation, and asked if I could sit down. The polite waiter said yes, and everything went smoothly. The food was excellent, the portion more than enough, and perfectly cooked. The bill, which was brought by a completely different waiter, came to 31 euros. I apologized and said that the smallest bill I had was 50 euros. My intention was to leave a tip after he brought me the change. However, he acted as if that was it, and I never received my change. I called the first waiter and explained the problem. After that, the second waiter pretended to cry. So clearly, he had been pretending not to notice the first time as well. I don’t know if this is common practice in Italy, but taking 19 euros from someone without asking is considered rude in my country. The first waiter tried to smooth things over and offered to give me back 20 euros, but I refused because I don’t want to shortchange anyone. I believe I left a decent tip (by normal standards), but only because of the first waiter and the cook, who really did an excellent job.
