Tasty menu, cute vibrant atmosphere with outdoor seating. I had the Glow Bowl, so so good! Highly recommend Flower Child 🌺
Very friendly staff. If it’s your first time they’re very helpful with making a selection. I get the Mother Earth Bowl with Salmon or Shrimp. I’m absolutely in love with the entire dish, but my favorite part is the Sweet Potatoes. I love the atmosphere of the place and they are very clean.
I have been wanting to try this place for quite some time. I have to say, knowing it’s a place for healthy choices made it somewhat intimidating. BUT, I was pleasantly surprised. My bowl with shaved steak was delicious. I can’t wait to go there again. Not only is it healthy but they also seem environmentally friendly! Win win!!
We live Flower Child! It has a wide variety of healthier fare, and plenty for carnivores, GF, vegan, and vegetarian. Serving sizes are reasonable, meaning NOT the usual American-sized elsewhere that helps lead to our obesity problem. Highly imaginative veggie sides, always in rotation, make this a popular place to revisit! Oh, and wash it down with a Manhattan Project Half-Life Hazy IPA!
We were visiting the area from Missouri and decided to try Flower Child, at first I was very skeptical after looking at the menu as I am not an avocado lover and the options seemed a little too healthy for me. We decided to try it and ended up absolutely thrilled with the food, so much so that we made it our lunch option for the remainder of our trip. If you are skeptical I recommend taking a chance on this restaurant and at least seeing what they have to offer. The staff was amazing and very knowledgeable of the options. They were willing to talk through the menu and help us make choices that fit our taste. We are now back in Missouri and very sad that there are no locations anywhere near us. This will definitely be our go to spot when traveling in the area.
The food was beautiful, delicious and had so much flavor! The only thing I was disappointed about was they had sign promoting glass over plastic cups (posted a photo here) But when I ordered my food and asked for a glass, my cashier told me there were cups available by the water station. I got over there and it was just plastic.... Restaurant was very busy so didn't want to bother anyone asking someone else for a glass, so I just opted against water for today :-( I'd definitely visit again and just remember my own water bottle! For my waste-conscious friends: aside from plastic cups, they use real bowls and utensils. :-) check out more of my reviews on Instagram @tasteswiththuy
I'm not even sure where to start it's literally my favorite place on earth. Each location had its own chill unique vibe. As long as the cooking stays consistent I'll be there multiple times a month. I will say I'm owed some point in the app because it wasn't working so I gave the manager I believe my phone number name and email and he was supposed to manually load my points but I never received them so there's that. But ....you can't get everything right.
Perfect place to meet for a healthy business lunch or to just meet up with a friend. We need more places like this is DFW! The decor, the food, and the staff was excellent! Get there early for lunch as it gets busy and you may have to wait to get in the door, but worth the wait! Love they have an outside patio too! Definitely will be back now that I have found this jewel! 💖
I liked eating salad in this place. The ingredients were fresh and dressing was tasty. My friend invited ne to this place and it is a good option to get your healthy salad.
Wonderful place, so many healthy and delicious options. More than enough vegan choices to choose from. Plenty of seating on the inside and outside. Plan ahead if you’re thinking of coming during lunch. This place will get packed by 11:45, with a line out the door. It’s worth the wait.
As a new dieter, I wanted to try to eat healthier options when I go out, and I decided to give this place a try! Who knew eating healthy could taste so yummy!! I got the tofu meal and man was it tasty as hell. I will most definitely be coming back for more meals the come, this was delicious.
Pleasantly surprised. Healthier food choices and delicious combinations. I had the steak wrap. Only caveat is leftovers didn't hold up the next day. Fresh it was excellent. So make sure you can eat all of it or most of it at least the bone broth wraps. I think the broccoli and risotto held up the next day and Peruvian beef that my other dining members had was good day2. Personally I have a small stomach so I tend to always have leftovers just wanted to add a different perspective. The place was decorated nicely with a sunny appearance and the patio looked wonderful. It was too hot to sit outside that day.
When you have a unique dietary lifestyle, going to eat at a restaurant can be challenging. I usually call the restaurants ahead of time to see if they are able to accommodate my requests. With Flower Child, I never have to do that. They are really aware of their customers different dietary needs. My most recent visit was pretty epic. This particular evening, I wanted something warm. I didn’t want a modified salad or anything like that. So when I spoke to the cashier taking my order, Harrison, about wanting kale stir fried, he asked me what I wanted in it and I said salt, pepper, onions and garlic. He then told me to wait while he gets the chef. Chef Henry came out and asked me about my dietary needs. He agreed to make me a dish that wasn’t on the menu and charged as if it was a forbidden bowl. The chef told me that he loves making unique creations and enjoys request such as mine. It feels great to know I can go to a restaurant and eat well while at the same time eat something healthy and satisfying. It’s also great to know that making something customized to my diet isn’t an inconvenience. This dish has zucchini, bok Choy, celery, carrots, dinosaur kale, onions seasoned with salt, pepper and lemon place on a bed of arugula topped with a whole lemon and salt seasoned avocado dusted with coconut flakes. Absolutely delicious!!🥗
Everyone should have a Flowerchild experience...at least once in their lives , if not weekly! We are blessed to live in a city that offers hundreds of food options which range in taste, budget, and style. We are also blessed to live in an area that is considered ripe for testing new restaurant ideas . Some make it, many don't, but Flowerchild certainly will. I mean how can you go wrong g with a place which promotes "Healthy Food for Happy World." The ambiance is clean, colorful, open and fun! The minute you walk through the doors the staff greets you with a big 'hello!' assuring that you feel welcome. The food is the highest quality, prepared just right, and seasoned in a way to make your taste buds dance. While the menu offerings are vegetarian in nature, there is an array of protein options to please even the most carnivorous among you. Go early and bring a few friends because this place gets busy, and with good reason. It's damn good! #LiveRemarkably #Flowerchild #Dalllas
I love this restaurant, this location is my favorite. the service is always a nice experience and the food is always good. if you’re looking for a good place with some healthy options this is the place for you.
Simply delicious. My wife mentioned this place to me a few weeks ago, and I was eager to try it. As fate would have it, I was between meetings and swung by for a bite. I had the Mediterranean salad with a side of organic chicken breast. I also had a bowl of soup (I believe it was a barley, beef, and vegetable). The Mediterranean salad was truly incredible. Dressing complimented the delicious assortment of ingredients. Honestly, just spectacular. In the light of transparency, the chicken breast was good, but a little dry. Not a deal breaker by any means, and with the salad as a whole, the dryness was not as noticeable....I actually took my wife here a few days later and we both ordered the same salad and chicken breast on the side...the salad as a whole is that good. The soup was also INCREDIBLE. that's all I can say...simply delicious. Keep in mind that this place is not cheap, but a good value for the quality of food. My salad, chicken breast, soup, and kombucha (on tap ) ran about $25, and was worth every penny. This will now be our go to restaurant.
This place has a refreshing, healthy vibe that makes it a nice spot to enjoy a meal. I went with family and we had a great time—the service was friendly, and the menu had plenty of appealing options. The wait was a bit longer than expected, but understandable since they were busy and preparing everything fresh. I ordered the Carolina BBQ chicken wrap, and it was delicious. Prices are on the higher side, but if you’re looking for a sit-down spot with fresh, healthy options, Flower Child is a solid choice.
I'm obsessed with this place. I've been twice and the quality is top-notch. I've had their salmon, steak, mac and cheese and broccoli. Everything is so fresh and flavorful. Their cookies are also delicious!
I love FlowerChild and order from this location for delivery when I’m at work. Today, there was a debacle where my muffin was not included in my delivery (there is some suspicion on who might have nabbed the muffin from my delivery — but their muffin is so good that I’m sure whoever it was just could not resist!). They had it redelivered for me, but the delivery driver just dropped it outside the commercial building where my company is one of the tenants. It’s a big building with many tenants and multiple entrances, not sure where exactly they dropped it (photo attached). Again, lucky for whoever got you eat my muffin! In the end, they offered to refund me and so appreciative that they did everything they could to get me my muffin.
Shoot I liked Flower Child so much, I ate there three days in a row. Definitely try the chicken enchiladas. Magnifico👨🍳
Love love LOVE Flower Child!!!!! Awesome healthy food from sustainable sources. A little pricey but totally worth it for the taste and quality that you get. My boyfriend (who could care less about quality and only cares about taste) loved the steak and potatoes and Brussels sprouts- wants to go back every week. Also great vibes and service.
A great spot for a nice healthy and lighter meal that is satisfying. They have so many options for carb alternatives that are so much more of a balanced option. Everything I have ordered so far has been great. Would highly recommend for a healthy spot!
I would like to give this place a 4.5 if I had an option. The quality of the food was great, so were service and atmosphere. The only thing lacking is the quantity. I felt that it was slightly underprovided given the pricing. I know this is not a place to feast off of, but the portion I received was really small compared to what I had to pay.
I was on a work trip in Dallas. As a European it is not easy sometimes to find food options that are not loaded with fat or sugar in Texas. So I stumbled upon this place on a very hot June day. Very tasty food. Fresh ingredients. Attentive and polite but joyful staff. Enjoyed my food so much I got takeout for later that day as well. A/C could be a little less. Was sweating crazy outside but had to wear a hoodie in here. A notch or so less for the environment wouldn't harm anyone, but that's just a detail. Food was great 👍👍
Super sweet. They fixed my order after it was my fault with no if ands or buts. Thank you! Not to mention the food is AMAZING
Wild fork is such a green flag, they will always get my business! I’m obsessed with the Peruvian beef bowl and their kombucha on tap! 10/10 recommend especially if you’re looking for tasty healthy meals!
The food is healthy and of good quality. The atmosphere is friendly and relax. We absolutely enjoy this place! Portion size is good.
This is one of my new favorite lunch spots. The vibe is chill. The food is clean, healthy, and tasty. I'm a type 1 diabetic and I felt like the menu was made for me. Flower Child allows you to have these healthy options without sacrificing the flavor of your food or your paycheck. I'll definitely be back, over and over again.
Great and healthy place with a simple menu. LOTS of flavorful and unique options where you pick a veggie base and can add a protein. We went for dinner so it wasn't too busy but I can definitely see it more as a place for a quick lunch. Plus point is being able to get your own drinks. Try the rose lemonade! I had the mother earth bowl with salmon. Love the broccoli pesto! My friend had the steak entree which was ok---meat was on the touch side. Will definitely come again though to try some other bowls!
Flower Child is a great healthy alternative to all that junk food out there. The place is comfortable and fun. Decor is funky and different in a good way. Service is good, everybody seems to be in a good mood here and is eager to help. Food is really good, healthy without compromising on flavor. Goes to show that when done right not everything has to be over-processed or filled with sugar. Prices are fantastic, considering the quality of the food I think this place is a great option. Kudos to Flower Child, one of our new favorites, hope you guys open up another location closer to Plano/Frisco soon.
Great place and amazing food!! I could eat here everyday and not feel guilty!! Everything we had tasted amazing and fresh. You can just tell they use the most organic and fresh ingredients. I was introduced to this by a friend who is vegetarian and very clean eater. I am so impressed and highly recommend this place.
Took family here for granddaughter’s college graduation dinner. Staff was great, food fantastic, many choices, & good atmosphere. My son had eaten here before & had the Mama Earth bowl with salmon. Daughter is gluten intolerant with lactose issues & this place was perfect for her. Everyone found a food choice they were happy with & very satisfied. Vegetables were fresh & drinks hit the mark. You will enjoy the atmosphere & clean facilities. Give it a try you will not be disappointed
yeah, atmosphere at this restaurant is always fresh and clean with really cool music and great decorum! The service is always wonderful, you can count on it, and the food is always good, exceptional, clean, and always very tasty! But my wife was expecting to have the wrap called thai-dye and instead, they had substituted one made with a falafel. I tasted it, it wasn’t bad, but it’s not the wrap that she came here for. It was a real downer for her, considering that’s exactly why we came so far to eat, because we used to live in this area and we missed this restaurant, but for her particularly, it was that wrap And it was no longer on the menu! Like so many restaurants it’s hard for her to find something that she really likes because she is a vegetarian and because she talks about this particular dish all the time, we decided to drive the 27 miles. It takes to get here so she could have that because we know that my steak wrap always comes out great, and I always do the meat rare like I like it and as I mentioned before, the food is always clean and the service is always wonderful in the atmosphere is great! Plus, we also got lemon cupcakes and talk about delicious!
I recently had a girls lunch here and the food was amazing! It was super busy with a bit of a wait to order at the counter but the staff worked through the line quickly. It does get a bit noisy in the open dining room when it is full like the day that we went. If you are looking for a quiet restaurant to have a conversation, this probably isn't it (unless the weather is nice-lots of great patio seating). Despite how loud it was, the food was amazing, fresh and worth the trip! I can't believe I didn't know this restaurant existed before seeking out something new with vegan options! This will definitely be a restaurant that is on my going out rotation!
This place was so much better than I expected. The salads and bowls can all have a portion of meat of your choice added making the variety endless. The Glow Bowl with Steak is my favorite so far and is amazing. The Roasted broccoli and sweet potato fries are great too. They can be a little crowded during lunch but the food is great and they huge choice of healthier great tasting meals.
I love me some flower child. It's great to go into a restaurant and not be afraid of being glutened. The food is always good, always tastes fresh, and is always served with a smile. The day we were at this location, it was over-staffed; maybe in prep for a busy Friday night. We were there early. I will say that the one thing I do not like about this chain is that it is one of the businesses that ask for a tip when you order and pay for your food. This is not exactly a "table service" restaurant. Yes, they bring the food to your table, and yes, they take your dishes away, but there are not "waitstaff" in the traditional sense. I'd like to know if these folk are paid like waitstaff (very low hourly wage in Texas) or if they are paid as the other employees are. Where does the tip go? Also, a tip is based on service rendered, not potential service rendered. This won't stop me from visiting Flower Child. But it's an unusual practice to see here in the south.
I'm very sensitive to A LOT of foods... I was given a couple meals from here through a friend. the staff were extra helpful and thorough making sure I got something I can actually eat. The salmon was delicious. I will be ordering from here again soon. Highly recommend.
Flower Child, with the help of Mario, knocked our catering order out of the park. First off, they helped accommodate our early pickup time. Second, Mario ensured that all 11 orders were in accurately and labeled so when it came time to enjoy our order, we weren’t figuring out whose was whose. Beyond the incredible customer service, all 11 of our orders were perfect. If I need large takeout/catering in the future, I will always go with Flower Child after our awesome experience. Thank you!!
I’ve had a few meals here, and my favorites are the Cobb salad, enchiladas, and the lemon olive oil cake. However, I’m not a big fan of their drinks. This place is a great spot for a solo lunch or a chat with a friend. Just be prepared for a bit of a crowd on the weekends. If you haven’t been there before, I highly recommend giving it a try. You’ll want to go more than once to try different items on the menu.
I had the Mother Nature Bowl and it was fresh, flavorful, and really satisfying. The side of sweet potatoes was absolutely amazing, perfectly roasted with a touch of sweetness. Their lemonades were refreshing and well-balanced. But the highlight for me was the cookies. They are truly the best I have ever had. Soft, rich, and unforgettable. If you visit Flower Child, do not leave without trying one. I will definitely be coming back.
We took a friend visiting from out of town to explore new healthy food options, and we were happily surprised by Flower Child! Everything we ordered looks and tastes great! The kombucha on tap was not too strong and goes well with the food. The atmosphere here is great! The walls really stand out, and the flowers on each table is a nice touch. Would highly recommend and will be coming back to try more things on the menu.
I love it! The atmosphere was calm, fun, chic, and naturally lit! I loved that the tables all had actual real flowers! The staff was super friendly yet non-intrusive. The menu had so many options I would want to try (heads up this is a unique/health food type of place, so if you don't like those foods you'll struggle a bit). I ended up getting the mother earth bowl with steak... So good. Everything was cooked well and I had a very reasonable portion. It's pricey but I would not say overpriced at all! Seriously delicious and all the ingredients tasted fresh. I will hopefully be back to try more!
I recently dined at this restaurant, and I must say, it was a delightful experience . The food was delicious. Every bite was a burst of flavor, and it's clear that the chefs put a lot of thought and care into their dishes. The staff was not only friendly but also attentive to our needs. They made us feel welcome. The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely, providing a cozy and inviting atmosphere. And don't forget to try the mango green tea; it's a real treat!
Food was delicious, portions well- sized. A little pricey, and the dining area is quite noisy.
I had the Turkey Avocado Cobb salad. Overall, it was good. However, when you name a dish with two of the ingredients, who do you think the stars are going to be? I had two penny size pieces of avocado, and about 1/2 a handful of turkey.
This place came highly recommended and seriously did not disappoint! The service was excellent, food was fantastic and the atmosphere was very comfortable. I had the chicken yakisoba (added the habenero sauce), my lady had the vegetable plate eith gluten free mac n cheese, broccoli, sweet chili sweet potatoes... in retrospect, I should have done the same, o really enjoyed my yakisoba, but her sweet potato and mac n cheese were downright amazing! I highly recommend flower child for a healthy or gluten free meal!
This is beautiful, new concept in the area. The restaurant is gorgeous and well appointed. I visited at lunchtime on a Sunday. While crowded, the service was quick, and I waited about 10 minutes for my meal. The staff were not terribly warm and friendly, but were also super busy. The avocado hummus was out of this world, and definitely the best thing I ordered. It is served with the most fresh and tender thin, warm pita-like bread that was also perfection (or you can opt for veggies instead but live a little). I had a veggie plate with the sweet potatoes, green papaya, and green beans. The green beans were too crunchy and too burnt on the outside. My least favorite thing. Some of the sweet potatoes were perfectly cooked and caramelized on the outside, others were still crunchy on the inside. The green papaya dish is served chilled and was refreshing and spicy as advertised. I also had a passion fruit black tea, which was delightful. I have to agree with other reviewers that it is $$$$. 4 out of 5 stars. I’d give it another shot as a treat but for the price it won’t be a regular thing.
Nice new spot for vegans and those choosing healthy options. Average cost is 10 for entree and 4 for small plates. 9 for 3 small plates is better option. Variety of options to choose from and fast service. Clean bathrooms also. Drinks are 3.50 but free refills are allowed. Try the tea and lemonades available. Nice for family, friends, business meetings and dates. I would suggest trying this place if you truly want the healthy option. ENJOY!!!
Food and atmosphere are lovely and fresh. I had sweet potato noodles which was a delicious dish & my husband ordered this side of hummus that was tangy and yummy. Great kids meal options. Our 2 & 3 year old had chicken & veggies. The decor is clean and modern, bathrooms are great. I didn’t give 5 stars because I was grossed out by the person working the expo window ( attached photo) with exposed armpits. Besides wearing a tank top while working with the food, she kept taking sips out of her cup and touching and scratching her face at try’s same time and ten immediately after she would grab the bowls of food, putting her thumbs in the bowls. Pretty sure that should not be a thing that goes on with food handlers. They can say she isn’t a food handler because she is in the other side of the counter, but her hands were all over our everyone’s stuff. Unfortunately I observed this AFTER I started eating and have no idea what was done to my bowl and my family’s plates🤦🏼♀️
Good quality food, great service, but some items can be on the pricey side. Plenty of options for carnivores, vegans, vegetarians, etc. Make sure you check the nutritional info on their web site before you go. It’s certainly healthier than a lot of other options out there, but if you’re watching things like sodium, etc., pay close attention. My *favorite* item on the menu is the Thai Dye Wrap ($9.95). Spicy tofu, avocado, shredded carrots, radish, basil, cilantro, some snap peas, and smothered in some sort of Thai chili paste - this might be what the tofu is cooked in. The tofu is cooked ok, a little soft but not too bad. The wrap itself is very soft, light and fresh. The wrap is whole wheat with flaxseed and I think chia seed. My second favorite menu item is the Glow Bowl ($9.95). By default, it comes with no protein items, but you can add any protein item to it for an extra charge. This is another spicy dish that I appreciate. It’s mainly spicy sweet potato noodles - that may sound weird to some, but they are mighty tasty, and the combination of sweetness and spicy is a PERFECT balance. The ONLY thing I am disappointed in with this dish is the lack of Shiitake mushrooms. I love my mushrooms, but these seem to be chopped up pretty small, so it’s hard to see them or even taste them. They can also skimp on the jalapenos at times. Vegan Massaman Curry - plenty of jalapenos, for a good kick. It includes HUGE chunks of roasted sweet potatoes, spaghetti squash, and toasted cashews. The toasted cashews give it great texture and a decent crunch. You can also choose to build your own combo - you choose your protein and then select two sides. Steak ($14.25) is cooked medium. The chicken ($12.95) is cooked and seasoned VERY well. It’s white meat, juicy, and very tasty. *They are taking very good precautions during COVID times, but there can still be a line out the door at lunchtime during the work week. *Use their app or their website to order ahead for pickup. You pay online, and then wander inside and find your order on a shelf with your name on it - and then RUN!!! *Yes, they have wine and beer (you’re welcome for that tip - I should have added that first).
Wait times at Flower Child are averaging 15-20 minutes during lunch time hours. The Dallas location does not allow ordering prior to assigning a table number. Winter is slowing down table availability without heaters set up outside. Food is good but Dallas lunch crowd will not wait around to find out.
Food was fine, but not good enough to justify the cost. Portions were smaller, but that's healthier I suppose. I got the Chicken Yaki Noodles and it was way too charred. Made the dish taste burnt and bitter. My friend's dish had a hair in it, but I don't think that is normal. Overall, place has lots of potential but is regrettably mid.
Flower Child is a healthy food restaurant with hipster vibes, or what gen-z has coined as the "granola girl" aesthetic. Regardless, the layout is pretty cute! This place was packed when I went during lunch. You order up front, they give you an order number stand, and you seat yourself. I ordered the Glow Bowl and added shrimp as my protein. I'm not a picky eater, but I had a difficult time finishing my food (I still finished it though as I hate to waste food). The sweet potato noodles were not my thing. The taste and texture was unappealing to me, and they just doesn't mesh in with the other components of the dish like regular noodles do. The shrimp and sauce was just okay. Afterwards, I was still left feeling hungry. Anyways, I supposed that this type of food isn't my cup of tea. I've also had food from Flower Child on another occasion for corporate catering. I was told to pick any menu item, but nothing looked very appetizing to me. I went with the Flying Avocado wrap, which was definitely better than my experience with the Glow Bowl, but it wasn't compelling enough for me to want to eat here again. If you're very much into healthy eating, you would probably really like this place though!
In theory, the food sounds great. But each time I go, in reality it's pretty bland. Atmosphere is loud too.
Food is okay, nothing to complain about. Portions are large compared to the price. But it is just too loud in the restaurant. You can hardly hear yourself talk. Seems like a good place to get food to go.
The quality of food was not of the usual standard and I have noticed the portion size getting smaller at this location. I ordered a Mother Earth bowl to go on last evening (11/17). The portion sizes was a tablespoon for the majority of the items except the quinoa and the arugula a slight bit more. The avocado was a fourth slice. Very disappointed. I have not had this experience at other locations close by this restaurant. Beware you will get less than what you paid for.
I think this location has the lowest quality food in compare to other locations. I ordered 3 times from this location and every time is a disappointment. This time I ordered the cesar salad with added chicken and as you can see in the picture there is no avocado and it’s nothing look like their pictures.
I love Flower Child, but will never go to this location again! Bought 3 family size sides during lunch hour. The containers were half filled and the quality was definitely not the Flower Child we're used to. Very disappointing because it isn't cheap by any means.
Bought a kids plate with mashed potatoes and received the nastiest potatoes ever. I’m disgusted and disappointed in Flowerchild. Please be wary of this if you go to any of the Flowerchild locations. I’ve had this issue in the location that’s on Royal ln but did not think this would be an issue here. Won’t be back until someone is held accountable for this
You disgusting people…my food was nasty and cold on arrival. Customer service was horrendous. It took an hour to get my food and every time I called to confirm my order was ready they kept saying yes but then telling my dasher it wasn’t. 4 different people tried to pick up my order and it kept not being ready after an hour ?!?! Horrible service. You should be ashamed of yourselves. This is what you sell to people to eat?????!!
