Wish I could give this 10 stars. Jen is a wonderful server. Service is always great. Food is some how even better. Hands down my favorite place to eat in the parish.

Service and food were excellent. Probably the only high end restaurant in Chalmette. Everything we had was really good!! Happy hour drinks were strong and very good!!

If there would be a chance to put an extra star, I would. The place is so great decorated, the food is outstanding, but the most i really liked was the service, the lady who took care on me was extraordinary, thanks. This is one of the places everyone should try, nobody will regret of it. Keep doing that good, guys, see you soon.

Fantastic food and 1st class service! Harley was truly a great server, gave enough attention w/o being too much. The petite filets were beautifully done, as was the pasta Lafitte! Highly recommend this restaurant!

Chalemette has some hidden gems, and this is one! Tucked away in an unassuming building is this classy, delicious spot! Serving steak, oysters, and chops, a wide selection of wine and beer, and delicious dessert! I went in on a Saturday night and it wasn't too busy, food was perfect cooked to order, and the pairings of ingredients was spot on. If and when I come back to town, I'll be stopping in again for sure!

I am super picky on my oysters and scallops. A lot of restaurants add salt to seafood when it's naturally Salty. The chargrilled oysters and the panseared scallops with Cauliflower mash is omg amazing! I believe I found my new favorite restaurant!

Great service, excellent food, atmosphere lovely can get a bit chilly inside due to air conditioning.The restaurant owners and wait staff were absolutely the most loveliest people!! A must visit and I will return! Celebrated my birthday there!

Our meals were delicious 😋! We had a dozen of oysters, 6oz filet, double cut porkchop and our little one had a pepperoni pizza. This was a great way to celebrate our 7th anniversary.

Pretty good. Food was ok. Steak was med well but asked for med. I say it's priced as a 5 Star meal but it's barely 4 star. Oysters had alot going on and was almost dry for charbroil.

Absolutely beautiful hidden gem! Tyler was an excellent server. The strawberry snoball martini was delicious!

Customer service was great. The food delicious. Just the smell of the chargrilled oysters in the background really makes you crave some even if they're especially pricey here. I opted for some scallops instead, which were perfectly cooked. The pork chops were also amazing. Perfectly cooked and tender even though I ordered it well done. This place is a gem.

Went for lunch with a colleague. It was my first time and I can honestly say, I was very pleased! The restaurant was very clean and has a pleasing atmosphere. The hostess was friendly and offered good suggestions from the menu. We never felt rushed or bothered. The food was fresh, well prepared, and very tasty! Overall I am impressed and will be going back often.

The food was EXCELLENT! Amazing portions and great service. We were too full for dessert! Definitely the best kept secret of the Parish! Our date night was awesome, thank you!

Wonderful dining experience. Good ambiance, not too loud to carry conversations. Garlic bread was on point, and the Martinis were strong. Food was packed with flavor, brought at the right temperature, and spaced out in a timely manner. The entire staff was friendly and stayed on top of the service. Visited during Valentines Day, and even as busy as they were, there were no mistakes with the orders, drinks kept flowing and check was accurate, only thing is that they were running out of items in the special menu earlier than expected. Will definitely be back.

Hands down one of the best restaurants not in Chamette but in the greater New Orleans area! Butternut squash soup, portobello garlic mushrooms, seared scallops with grits/tomatoes, double cut pork chop w an amazing rice side and demi glaze, steak and the deserts, that coconut cream cake and bread pudding...wow...and a great mix drink / wine bar (try Columbia Crest H3) as well. This is a great at-home atmosphere and extremely personable staff...people come from all over to go to Rocky's, now they have a second stop.

We loved it. Nice bar, staff and food was great. Other reviews mention that it’s expensive, but it’s relatively inexpensive for a nice New Orleans (vicinity) restaurant. It’s a gem in Chalmette

This isn't a restaurant, this is an experience that anyone visiting or living in the area should have. The food is divine, Lincoln their cook should be declared a New Orleans treasure. Go on Thursday or Saturday to be served by Hooper, an incredible waiter who makes the night a heartwarming memory.

We truly love to eat at MeMe's. The grilled redfish was fabulous. We had to get the char-grilled oysters. So good! The coconut pie dessert was the best we ever had. Great service and atmosphere.

ive eaten here several times and I have no complaints ... everything I’ve ordered has been beyond my expectations ... well seasoned .. generously portioned and reasonably priced. The cocktails are great as well. The chefs special is unbelievably delicious ... the pasta is nice and creamy .... the bbq shrimp poboy is the best I’ve tasted ... and I’ve always received great customer service... keep up the good work 😋

Cozy and relaxing atmosphere! Our server Kelly was exceptional. She had a very pleasant personality. Food was delicious! Chef Lincoln really captured some great southern flavors!

The food was good the people and service was nice and it wasn't that expensive we had the Rockefeller oysters, frog legs, garlic bread and red snapper over rice. We even had a watermelon martini and a Tropical Breeze drink and everything was really nice

Friends "found" Meme's by accident and kept it as secret as they could until they let me go with them one night. Friday night if you love a big old lobster done exactly right. But everything they have is fabulous. And tonight will be a birthday dinner for a friend because I let him in on the secret, too, and he loves it. Friendly, wonderful people and a great wait staff who feel like family. Go, if you like yourself. You will enjoy it. Small and cozy. Make reservations if you go Friday night in particular.

The grilled trout was outstanding... The bread pudding was to die for... Our waitress was sweet and informative.. Our drinks never ran out.. Top notch service with a smile!! Thank you and we will be back..

One of the few places we go to that always hit the mark. Chargrilleds have a consistency to rival drago's. The steak always comes out true to temp. The owners and staff take their professions seriously and it shows in the execution. Order the special, it's a no miss.

Wonderful. We live across the river and happened to see this place.on Friday night when picking up a king cake down the street. Made a u turn that gave us a truly enjoyabke evening. Lovely decor and the friendliest owners and staff that makes you feel at home and very special. Ashley gave incredible service and conversations and Kristin stopped just to say hello and if we enjoyed our meal . The owner chuck couldn’t not have been a better host! The food was spectacular - where to start? Fried green tomatoes and crawfish, filets with red wine reduction and bernause sauces, unique Lyonaise potatoes, and a Carmel coconut pie that will please everyone . Btw, my lemon drop martini was perfect!

Absolutely love this place. The Oysters are amazing, the steaks are so tasty and the desserts are delicious. We usually make the effort of travelling out here when visiting New Orleans.

This place was recommended to us by our motel desk clerk on a recent fishing trip. We decided to give it a try instead of the famous local place. Im glad we did. Food was great. Watriess was friendly at attentive. My only complaint was that food took awhile to get to us after ordering. 4.5 stars. I can recommend: Oyster sampler Artichoke and crab soup Scallops and grits

Food here is always incredible maybe the best Steak I've had in a restaurant and the bread pudding is top tier. The service here is always incredible I will keep coming back for sure one of the gems of the parish.

The food is very good. And the service was extremely excellent. Scallops over grits with creole tomatoes for starters. And Friday night was Lobster night. It was a large "Seasoned Crawfish" with garlic mash potato. It was a great experience for my first time there. Will be returning and have already recommended it to co-workers.

Heather the manager was great, food was great, key lime pie was hast desert we tried them all. I had the ribeye and wife had speckled trout with lemon butter sauce. Everything was exceptional. Thank for the service first class.

This is my favorite restaurant, it is absolutely beautiful and the service is incredible, very family oriented and if you have a birthday or special occasion, this is the place. These people treat you like family and the chef is amazing. I'm so glad we found this place, makes my heart happy Everytime I make my reservation which is so easy to do online. Try it and I promise you will love it!

Service was wonderful. Chargrilled oysters were best I have eaten anyway by far. Steak was cooked to perfection. Best to get a reservation. We were lucky and was able to be seated. We WILL be back. Only downfall is the parking.

I experienced this with some fellow workers from a local cooking ministry. Mimi was very courteous and accommodating. She is very kind and very nice. Besides all that she sells some awesome food served by some awesome servers. These gals really hustle and are funny as all get out. We were tired and dragged because of the work day. And they made us forget about everything. Char grilled oysters.. oh yeah. Seafood platters..oh yeah do that! Swordfish smells awesome looks even better and disappears in seconds. Now that's what I'm talking about

We were in town for a Softball tournament and looking for a place to eat on a Friday night, we found MeMe's... and I am so glad we did. This was one of the best steaks have have ever eaten. The atmosphere was very nice and the service was fabulous. Before we left we told the owners what a great experience we had, they were super nice. Can't wait to visit again.

We had a great dinner at MeMe’s tonight. The scallops and oysters were wonderful. My wife had the amberjack and she raved about it. For dessert we had bread pudding and the coconut caramel pie and both were to die for!! Finally, the service was awesome!! Jordan was very nice and personable and made great suggestions about the food. We felt like we were part of the family there!! Thanks for a wonderful experience. We will be back!!

An over due Anniversary dinner. This restaurant checks all the boxes and then makes their own and takes it to a new level. The oysters are next level. No words can tell you what you will experience here. The steak well you do not need steak sauce they have flavor, and you do not need teeth it is as tender as a bread pudding. I would drive from covington once a week to eat here!

First meal in New Orleans and they did not disappoint! The gumbo, the red fish, the white chocolate bread pudding 🤤 absolutely delicious and our servers were 5stars. Fine dinning but easier on the wallet.

MeMe's should drop the Bar & Grill name and focus on what they're already doing well. I wasn't expecting to walk in from the street to an elegant dining experience. Our server was informed, attentive, and knew how to sell the experience. The steaks were cooked to temp, loaded baked potato was loaded, and the steak sauces were flavorful.

Went with a party of 6 including 2 children for a later reservation. When we arrived there were several other tables, but they soon cleared out and after we ordered apps there was only a table or two left. I know how service with late tables can get but our server was absolutely awesome and didn't rush us one bit. The food was top notch as well. They had a crawfish bucatini special as an app that was incredible and for a place of their size, have a great wine list. I'd recommend to anyone.

Wow what a hidden GEM, if you are from the Parish I am sure you have heard of this place. Since I live in Kenner, clearly it was new to me. If you are looking for a great Brunch spot and dinner, add this to your list. Bottomless mimosas, deviled eggs, oyster quiche, cheesecake!!! Everything was delicious!!!

This place is amazing! We we visiting New Orleans from Colorado and they served us without a reservation. The staff was so very friendly. The atmosphere is classy but no dress requirements which was very nice. The alcohol drinks were amazing but the food was even better! My 17 year old son can be picky but he loved his chicken and pasta and the desserts were fantastic. We wish we lived here to eat there more. Great job and thank you for the fantastic experience.

Went here during carnival with my girlfriend and her family and had a great time. Staff was friendly and engaged and helped everyone navigate the menu. Everything we tried was delicious. Will definitely be returning next time we're in New Orleans - it's worth the drive out of the city!

I’ve always liked Meme’s but they’ve really stepped up their game recently and become pretty unbeatable. The food is phenomenal, the service is excellent (we love Tyler), and the atmosphere is lovely. My favorites are the petite filet and shrimp and grits but you can’t go wrong. Highly recommend.

We ordered on Door Dash last night. I had the stuffed shrimp appetizer which were delicious. The stuffing and sauce were wonderful, but there were only 3 shrimp. Still, they were very flavorful and I loved them. I also had the crawfish pasta. A little spicy and very garlicky but there was enough that I had the leftover half today.

Hands down THE best place from Saint Bernard to Arabi! The staff was so sweet, polite and accommodating! The food was impeccable! The drinks were delicious! We’ve officially found “our” spot!! 🩷

Where else can I get oysters charbroiled for one dollar each?! These favorful wonders are amazing, but I wish that they had a little more sauce to dip the delicious french bread in. The oysters are on special on Wednesdays through Fridays during happy hour from 4-6 (I would call to check). You dont want to miss this.

The food was good. Because we didn't have a salad the waitress took away our salad Fork. And while sitting at a table we found the ledge of Wall needed a good dusting.

People have said this is one of the best restaurants in the history of St. Bernard Parish, and that's probably an apt description. I went here last weekend with my husband and parents, and we had a great time. The have a great selection of cocktails, particularly if you are the kind of person who likes tropical punches or designer martinis. I had the "Island Punch," which was delicious and really reasonably priced for what you get (including pineapple garnish). The garlic bread is good. The chargrilled oysters, while not up to Drago's standards, are different enough to be worth returning for. They add a little Worcestershire or steak sauce, which ups the profile, and they were not undercooked or watery, which many places do. I scraped the cheese off the shell with my fork! We had lobster bisque to start as well. It was very rich and dark. Not a lot of chunks of lobster, but the flavor was well developed. The dinner salad is has a few nice touches, like homemade croutons and grated cheese. Plenty of cucumber, tomato, and onion as well. It definitely pays to go on one of the specials night (Friday, lobster; Saturday, prime rib). I split the prime rib with my dad. We were both stuffed and the meat was cooked perfectly. My mom and husband both really enjoyed their entrees too. Though we didn't get dessert, we got a lagniappe of candied pecans which were really delicious. The staff was very attentive, prompt, and super friendly, even the guys working on the renovated facade outside. All in all, we had a really lovely evening and look forward to going back again.

Surf n turf beef was fabulous, lobster tail was tough and chewy. Service and attention was wonderful. Chargrilled oysters were great. Looking forward to going back and trying something different.

We got the chargrilled oysters, lobster, catch of the day, prime rib, cremebrule, and apple pie cheesecake. Everything was great except the lobster. It was small, overcooked, and tasted mediocre at best. Overall our experience was good, and the oysters we perfect.

Dozen Chargrilled oysters prepared 4 different ways! Happy hour prices of $1 each. All good! Larger oysters than I normally see at other places I like. Friendly and engaging staff including the grill master. Likely to return.

Friendly staff. Food is delicious. One of the top places to get Charbroiled Oysters. Best BBQ Shrimp in the city by far.My only complaint is with the new expansion of the restaurant and more seating, it does take al little longer to get your meal. Luckily for them their food is great, and totally worth the wait. They have a server there by the name of Ashley. We request her every time we go in. She is amazing, make sure to ask to sit in her section. Great place to celebrate a special occasion. Highly recommend this place

The oysters were great. I enjoyed our salad and the drinks were STRONG.The bread they brought out was a good quality and very flavorful. It was a great atmosphere and the staff was excellent. The potatoes were perfectly done. My steak was too salty. We also had a seafood pasta dish and it was perfectly cooked. I was really impressed but that steak being salty was so disappointing

Had reservation, got seated on time, supper for two! The atmosphere is great, the staff is very nice! They didn't seem that that busy, but we were told so, they did have a few larger tables, so I guess they were. Food took a bit over an hour to come out! They did keep asking if we needed anything. The food was ok, my wife's steak wasn't cooked as ordered, the double hamburger with mushrooms, onions, and bacon was good. I did find that the fries had a bit too much garlic and were quite small. Overall, we had a nice date, but the long wait put a little bit of urgency to leave. Also, we had to make accommodations for our children to get picked up from an event that we couldn't get to in time! We may go back sometime and try again.

The waitress was great, very attentive to my needs. Even the host would ensure the room temperature was good. However I was a little disappointed by the food. The oysters weren't finger licking delicious but they were decent, the BBQ shrimp was delicious. However the gumbo had too much salt, we ended up bringing it back home. The crab cake had a nice crispness that was overshadowed by the fact it was salty as well. Myself and someone else at my table got a well done steak. That is where I was the most disappointed. I feel like I could have overlooked everything if the steak was good, but nope. Not only it had no flavor but it felt like I was chewing something made out of rubber. I ended up bringing it back home as well to see if it could be fixed. It was a waste of steak. The baked potato was decent, too much sour cream for my taste, but i guess i should have requested less sour cream.But I have ordered in different occasions lobster from them on Friday and I do recommend that one.

The chargrilled oysters were a disappointment, extremely small! The entre was one step above average. Very pricey

It was okay. I was pretty disappointed in the oyster and the sreak. There were too many shells in the oyster and too much grissel in the steak. Like I got the worst cut of meat.

$11 for 3 bbq shrimp is outrageous. While the food was good, steak ordered medium well came out well done (no pink anywhere). Waitress was great, but 45 minutes on a 6oz. Steak Filet that isn't mignon?! Was told three times over 30 minutes time that the steak was coming. Underwhelmed.

Updating my review, we have lunch here a few times a month, today we went and was asked if we have a reservation, in an empty restaurant, on a Wednesday, in Chalmette, Really? We had the salmon, it was OK, the crab and artichoke soup was watery and we had mostly fibrous artichoke petals, the crab was a bit non exsistant. This combo would be best served as a cream soup. Next time we come by, it would be great to drop the pretentious attitude and seat us immediately.

Steak and oysters were great! Oscar style crab cake was dry and the asparagus chewy and over cooked. We waited over an hour for our food and the restaurant wasn't very busy. The man who appeared to be the owner or manager was so rude to his waitstaff that it made us (and apparently other customers by the conversations we overheard) very uncomfortable.

I love the location in Chalmette, LA as you don't have to drive to downtown NOLA or to Metairie LA. The atmosphere and wait staff are excellent. I had the Oysters Rockefeller and Baked Potatoes soup which were both very good. It's definitely worth going back to further explore other menu items.

The waitress was great. The host was very accommodating. The Price is set for prime steaks and the steaks are not prime at all. When you get a prime fillet, it melts in your mouth. It’s not tough and it’s easy to chew. And it does not have a sour taste. The cream spinach was covered in burnt bread crumbs and so full of butter, you cannot even taste the spinach. The crabcake was also drenched in butter and cake. It was not the lump crab meat you would expect to see in a fine dining restaurant. Don’t oysters were just OK . Everything seem to be lacking. not impressed with the quality of the food, but the atmosphere and the staff is very nice.

So we can say we checked this one off the bucket list! I’m gonna say the majority of the staff make up a great restaurant! So one person can’t make it sound bad for everyone else. Or a boiled potato not baked can ruin the food experience for the whole kitchen staff. The oysters were so so! The Caesar salad do not taste like Caesar. Filet was decent but that boiled potato got me! Server could’ve been more attentive. Over all a B!

This may be the only place in the world that serves trout almondine without almonds. I am not kidding. Somehow . . The fish , without the almonds served up in the trout almandine, is just ok with a light Cajun sprinkling on the outside, sautéed nothing much.but that’s about it. The peas were good. The crispy potatoes - nope - not at all. Then They added nsult to injury with dessert . They serve a cobbler that is not cobbler but cake with a little bit of peach in it the middle. Not much. Dinner and dessert the entire meal was a disappointment.

My boyfriend met the owners at his job and they invited him to come and check it out. The experience was beautiful so I decided to have a girls night there. We had a horrible table. Right in the center of the room Everytime the door would open there would be a cold chill. We asked if we can move to a different table we were told that we couldn't move. It took forever to get out food. The waiter did not constantly check on our table. It seem as if everyone was waited and served before us.

This place was way way way overpriced for a tiny meal that wasn't all that great. Got the cheapest thing on the menu which was still 17 dollars. Very small menu with not many options. Came here once when it opened a few years ago and didnt like it at all then. Came back to try it again and it wasn't any better. Despite that the atmosphere was pretty good and the staff was polite and fast. If you are looking for a place to take your lady for a nice dinner I wouldn't recommend this place. Take her somewhere with better food and a better price.

Great drinks, great mozzarella sticks and red sauce... horrible steaks and to salty potatoes. We ordered steaks med well they came out burnt on the outside and rare/bloody on the inside... the potatoes tasted like straight salt. The servers were accommodating and patient with smiles on their faces.

Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed by the experience, overall. The food, primarily, was the biggest disappointment. We visited MeMe's for Valentine's Day. We began with Spinach and Artichoke dip; the portion was nice but the tase was lacking. Very bland and a bit "dry". We then had a Bleu cheese wedge salad and a cup of Gumbo. Salad dressing was, again, a bit bland. Gumbo was just "ok" (a very dark roux). The entrees were Petit Filet and Chicken pasta. Wife said the filet was a bit undercooked to her liking (ordered medium but was more med/rare in the middle; I know, getting a filet a bit more"cooked" in the middle can be challenging so I do understand that). For the price, my pasta portion was laughable. The two cheapest food items on the planet (pardon the hyperbole) were definitely not priced as such, especially given the portion. Again, the last was a bit bland. Dessert was a coconut pecan pie slice. This was enjoyable and one of the better parts of the meal. The service was ok. Our waiter was a bit scattered and verbalized the specials after we placed our appetizer order (which sounds ok but one of the specials was an appetizer that we may have considered). Drink refills were sparse (all together forgotten at one point), though he was pleasant and attentive otherwise. I'm told that this establishment is under new ownership/management, though I'm not positive. The management on duty were cordial and appreciative of our visit. Past experiences have been good but this visit was sub-par. I don't think we will be returning to MeMe's. The value, for me, just wasn't there and the taste left a lot to be desired. For the cost of these dishes, I would expect better flavors and portions, in some cases. We'll be dining elsewhere in the future, unfortunately.

We have eaten at MeMe’s a few times in the past and have always had a good meal. But recently we were disappointed. We ordered stuffed lobster at $52. The lobster was stuff with breading that was tasty but there were only couple of small pieces of lobster in it. Very expensive stuffing. Should have been priced at $10 at the most. Brussels sprouts very good as a side. Service was ok. Atmosphere was not too good. We were crammed in like sardines. The spacing of the tables were about 12” apart. Not good. Doubtful that we will return.

My husband is working in Chalmette for a couple of months. We were excited to find MeMe's as we were wanting a little more elevated restaurant experience once in a while. We really liked the atmoshpere! We've been there a few times. In the past, he mentioned that his steak was either not cooked properly or not very tasty, and didn't care a lot for other menu items he had tried, but they have great cocktails and 1/2 price bottles of wine sometimes, so he kept giving it a try. As of last night, he says he won't go back. Last night he didn't eat a single bite of his 8 oz filet, as it had a bad smell and he didn't want to take a chance with it. He ate the broccoli and some of my pasta, but no steak. They cleared the table and made no effort to find out why he hadn't eaten any of his steak. In the past, the staff has been very friendly and attentive, but to make no attempt to find out why someone hadn't touched their $44 steak is not great customer service.

A few friends of mine agreed on this location for an early friends giving last weekend. I’ve never ate in Chalmette before so I asked a few others that were familiar with the area about this restaurant prior to attending. I was told the food was “ok” so I made sure to eat before the event. Unfortunately, I left disappointed. I paid $60 for food that I didn’t eat. I ordered a drink that was so packed with ice I had to pay for an extra shot to enjoy it. I love absolutely love raw oysters. I first asked for a dozen. Our waiter who was excellent brought out a half dozen instead. After seeing the size of the oysters. I decided to stick with only the half. They were super tiny. I combined two to make one whole. Though I was hesitant to order I decided on the bowl of gumbo. That was all I was going to order. The gumbo came out and instantly I knew something was wrong. As a New Orleans native that was raised on eating gumbo and cook it seasonally. The roux was extremely dark like an oxtail gravy and the taste was awful. I sent the gumbo back. I wanted to give it one more try and order two sides. Sweet potato mash and creamed spinach. The sweet potato mash at first glance looked pretty good. It wasn’t, didn’t eat more than a full spoon and the creamed spinach was super watery and flavorless. Gratuity is added in large parties so with everything I kept (two sides, 6 oysters, a drink and a shot) my total $60.84. Pretty excessive for undesirable food. Our waiter Tyler was excellent and super apologetic about my food experience. Service receives a five star. He deserved every bit of thrips he received. I don’t plan on returning or recommending anyone else to.

I would give this place a zero start if I could. Don’t get me wrong the food is good, but this server who said she has had covid in the past refused to wear her mask the proper way. I’m not trying to be a karen but we are in a pandemic and yes I understand wearing your mask all day can be a pain but pls wear it not just to protect you but also others. I will not be going back cause of how rude she was.

Way too expensive for what it is. Paid $150 for 3 people and no we didn't purchase alcohol. Just our entrees and 1 dozen oysters. If you want fine dining go by the lake and go to Landry's, you'll pay half the price there.
