Today, on Christmas Day, we had confirmation of their excellence. The Christmas lunch was simply splendid: we ate divinely, with excellent quality dishes, prepared with great care and a truly perfect cooking style. Special praise also goes to the dining room management, impeccable in every way: organization, attention to detail, and professionalism were truly, truly perfect. A place that made us feel at home! I must say that upon entering, the feeling is not that of a traditional restaurant; the space is open, but it does feel a bit dispersal. Beyond that, the rest is up to the staff and the cuisine, which is worthy of praise for its quality and the products used. The super-friendly and highly trained staff makes you feel at home, pampered, and overcomes that initial feeling of coldness. The dishes are a feast for the eyes; they are truly well-prepared and have the look of a Michelin-starred restaurant. We found everything excellent, and the quality of the ingredients does the rest; the passion of the kitchen shines through in every course. Kudos to the entire team for their service; we'll definitely be back and I recommend this place to everyone.

On Sunday, my partner and I decided to escape the chaos of the Riviera and come to Sassello for some peace and quiet. We had lunch at the Pian del Sole Hotel restaurant, located in a lovely area just steps from the town. Lunch was excellent; the food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. For two, we ate an appetizer, two first courses, and two desserts, water, and coffee for €59. The bill was reasonable for the quality of the food; I highly recommend it if you're passing through the area; you won't regret it.

Wow!!! Talking about finding an absolute gem. Ordered a Buffalo mozzarella, onion and pistachio pizza. Surely that doesn’t work? It was off the scale. 11 euro. Washed down with a couple of beers. The chef even came out and had a chat. The man deserves a medal. All in a beautiful natural surrounding in a quaint village setting with few tourists. Doesn’t get any better.

Very friendly staff and a pleasant place to be. Located in the hills of Liguria it offers some nice views, too. As for the food, we had a plate of local mushrooms prepared in different ways (fried, grilled, steamed...) which was a nice appetizer. For main dish I had a rabbit done in Ligurian way, whatever it means. Bottomline, it was all very tasty and I would recommed the place if you are passing through Sassello.

I stopped by here for the Ligurian finals where I presented a book. Sassello had been one of my family's vacation destinations when I was between 13 and 16. I was happy to return, in an impromptu trip back, but I certainly wasn't expecting such a refined restaurant! Chef Gabriele offered us some truly interesting dishes! And beautifully presented, which you'd never expect in a little place on the border between Piedmont and Liguria.

Really excellent quality dishes and well presented. Good value for money and not small portions. It's a shame about the service which was very slow, our table waited a long time but the tables next to it seemed to travel well, there must have been some mix-ups, but it was worth the wait because the dishes were simple and tasty, the view is very beautiful and relaxing being a closed veranda overlooking the garden full of greenery. At sunset it is truly romantic. It is the hotel restaurant but also open to outsiders and if you are in the surrounding area I recommend the stop!!!
