I easily made a reservation online and went for brunch alone around 10:30 on a Sunday morning. I asked to sit outside when I arrived and was seated as soon as I got in. There was a gentleman there playing the guitar and singing (I always enjoy their performers). Bring some cash and feel free to tip the performers (they are not required, but the performers seem to be very appreciative). By the way, the guy that was singing on 3/3/24 was a hit! I'd love to hear him again. I already knew what I wanted to try, by looking at the brunch menu on their website (super convenient). I ordered the French toast, candied bacon, 1 over medium egg, and a cappuccino. The presentation of everything came out beautifully and the quantity of breakfast was well worth the price. The quality of the French toast was 10 out of 10 although it lacked flavor by itself, but luckily it came with some very flavorful berries and candied bananas. After feeling like something was missing, I wouldn't order it again, but you have to try it at least once. The candied bacon was delicious. It was thick-cut bacon and the salty/sweet flavor was great!! I will be trying the regular bacon next time and would 100% recommend trying the candied bacon. My over-easy eggs were cooked to perfection. Although I'd only ordered one, it came with 2 (I do understand though). They were rich and creamy. Great quality eggs! This was my favorite part of the breakfast that I had ordered. No salt or pepper was needed although the eggs don't come seasoned. I just enjoyed the taste of the eggs alone. My cappuccino was very bitter, but that could have been my fault. I thought that it would come already flavored, so ask for some flavored creamer if you prefer that. It was creamy though. The service was a 10 out 10. The cleanliness and design is a 10 out 10. The food was an 8 out of 10 (the lack of flavor in the French toast knocked off a bit). I'd 100% recommend this restaurant. I paid $33 and some change for my order and left happy with great service. I dine here often and like anywhere else it doesn't always go perfectly. They have missed the mark 1 other time (overcooked my salmon), but they strive to make it right. The food is fresh and hot.
Beautiful, peaceful, and delicious. I’ve been here 4X & The service is always great. The servers are attentive and knowledgeable. Anything on the menu will have you visiting again. They have an adults section only with dim lighting, large bar, & comfortable loungers. The outdoor patio is also large with loungers and activities to enjoy time with friends or family.
My first visit to The Grove and I loved it! A group of friends met and we sat on the patio, very nice atmoshpere. Everyone we encountered, from the hosts to clientele to our server, was friendly and smiling. Our server, Delaney, took excellent care of us...we didn't want for anything, she was that good at anticipating our needs. We were impressed by the quality of the drinks, and enjoyed the charcuterie board, which had a nice variety, before having dinner. Highly recommend the Mini Beef Wellington's...they were delicious...so tender that I was able to cut them with my butter knife! I had a side of Mac-n-Cheese with it for my dinner. For dessert I chose the Caramel filled Churros, there were 6 of them!! This is definitely a dessert to share, and it was sooo good!! My experience here was perfect and I will most definitely be back! We did make reservations, being a group of 7. It is a little pricier than your average restaurant meal...but the service and quality were impeccable, making it worth the little extra!
Had a party of 15 for a birthday celebration. Warm and inviting atmosphere with waitstaff going the extra step to provide our party with an exceptional experience. Our guys were knowledgeable about the entire menu and specials. We were checked on at least a dozen times just to make sure we were lacking nothing and if all expectations were being met. About the food. Wedge salad to start. Presentation was classy and clean. My entree was an 8oz Sea Bass Filet on grilled squash. My wife had Salmon, brussel sprouts, & grits. I saw the chicken fried steak with garlic potatoes and snow peas too. The steak was the size of a frisbee! All of it was delicious to say the least and the flavors actually can from the food not excessive seasonings. After several visits we have never been disappointed.
Great experience tonight at the Grove. Tuesdays are half price bourbon so a great night to visit. We sat in the bar to eat and got to hear great live music by Gary Patrick. Staff was quick and food and drinks great. I had the cream of pablano soup which is fantastic and a little spicy if you like some heat. Hubs had the Delmonico steak, a little expensive but worth it. Recommend visiting on a Tuesday!
We recently booked a party at the Grove in the Greenhouse. I cannot say enough about the event staff. Veronica, Josh and Anthony were truly amazing. They all went above and beyond to make sure that my son’s proposal/engagement party was so special. Everything from great food to providing what we needed for a sweet slide presentation and all the little things in between. Nothing went unnoticed and we are so thankful for all of you. You made us feel like VIP’s! I cannot wait to plan another party because we will be calling you! Thank you again, Jenny Roach
The place is great. I’m originally from New York City so when I saw they had a Delmonico steak on the menu, I wanted to give it a shot. The atmosphere is amazing. The service is really good and the Delmonico steak was good. Lourden my server was so sweet and did an amazing job. Give that girl a raise! Stay Alert & Be Safe! #SABS #CssOne
As a vegan diner, I always expect to just eat sides and/or salad at a restaurant that doesn't have anything on its menu reflecting vegan. I took a chance and made a reservation via Open Table and mentioned there were two vegan diners. I was absolutely FLOORED with the fact the check actually prepared a vegan dish for my husband and myself. It was a gorgeous plate of veggies, including crispy garlic slices, pepitas, and gorgeous avocado for protein. I definitely appreciate the effort and the tastiness of it! We will definitely be coming back.
We had such a fantastic brunch at The Grove! The service was excellent—friendly and attentive—and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the pancakes, which were perfectly fluffy, and my husband loved the Chicken Fried Steak. The outdoor dining area was such a treat, especially with this lovely mild weather. Everything was relaxed and enjoyable—we’ll definitely be back soon!
I love the Grove, but I have to say…. I went last night and I don’t know who the cook was, but it was MORE delicious than I’ve had…. I don’t know how, but the Mac and cheese was awesome!! I had it once before, but wasn’t that much of a fan because it was a little watery and not much flavor, but whoever the chef was last night made it PERFECT!!! Grilled Salmon with Grits, Brussel Sprouts was also VERY delicious!!
I just had lunch with my daughter after bridal shopping for her wedding later this year. The food was wonderful in presentation and delicious to my palate, the service divine. A special compliment to the tremendous assistance Trenton provided. We enjoyed a fabulous soup because he sold it with scrumptious description, spectacularly. My daughter almost chose the special of the dat due to his extremely beautiful management of the description for it (meatloaf that sounded heavenly in his word choice). I convinced her to choose what she'd expressed a dese for earlier in our adventure of today. Pictured: -The soup of the day, which is a delightful chicken concoction of the slightly Mexican persuasionin (influenced). -Calamari app with a NOT marinara dip (called comeback sauce - lovely flavors). -Grilled salmon on creamy cheese grits and brussels sprouts with a leafy mix atop. Altogether a splendid and thoroughly enjoyable experience. I would come back for the food and request Trenton as my waiter, for sure! Also, as a note, I currently reside in an extra large body and he treated me like a real person. The opposite of that is something that makes being an oversized human an emotioanlly, mentally, and spiritually difficult experience. Trenton is an amazing human for being truly kind. He, by the way, woks hospitality outside this restaurant (weddings and other events). Maybe he will find this review and respond (is that even possible?) with contact details so we can hire him for such things!
Anniversary dinner was perfect. Our waiter “Chase” was incredible. He had the evening planned out it seemed. The pace and timing of the drinks was spot on. His and the chefs attention to detail was the final touch! Thank you Chase for helping create a wonderful dining experience! Kind regards Steve and Ana
One of Tyler’s greatest outdoor dining experience’s. Great food and great service. Brooklyn was amazing! I ordered the Homestead Salad with salmon, a cup of tomato basil soup and a glass of Sauvignon blanc. YUM! Great date night location yet amazing and family friendly for the kiddos.
What a fun date night place. My husband and I sat inside but the huge glass doors were open for a perfect breeze to tease us with the autumn air. The food portions were very generous and the quality of the ingredients shown through. We can't wait to go back and keep trying dishes on their extensive menu. #GoogleGal
Stunning and warm environment. Beautiful from the moment you drive in. Relaxing ambiance , friendly staff, amazing food. The passion our waitress demonstrated in her description of the food was inspiring. Her suggestions were on point with the Beef Wellington appetizer to the cheesecake desserts. Pablano soup a tick spicy which added to its allure and the Chicken Milanese was a pallet tickler.
This is one of our favorite spots in the Great State of Texas. The beef wellington is always perfect, and the ambiance is very nice as well. It is classy, clean, and straight up delicious. Sometimes, you have to wait to be seated when it is busy (usually on the weekends), but it is worth it. When it is nice out, this is a very relaxing place to sit outside. The staff, service, parking, food, and drinks are on point. The bartender, Ashlynn, is very nice as well. We recommend chicken fried steak, Atlantic salmon, chicken milanese, and, of course, the mini beef wellingtons (the best).
We love the Grove, the mini beef wellingtons and meatballs over polenta are things dreams are made of. We get these every time. If they have a halibut dish fry that. Both times they had it we ordered it and it was amazing. The Chicken Milanese is amazing. The crispy Brussels sprouts are insanely delicious.
Just recently had our wedding shower here and I couldn’t have been more happier with how it turned out! Veronica was very thorough when showing us the different rooms and recommended the best one for our event! The staff was very accommodating and very helpful with our private event, from setting up chairs and tables to serving food. I would definitely be looking to have my next even here.
We absolutely loved this place. We were visiting family and were pleasantly surprised to discover it. What beautiful outdoor spaces! Some covered some semi-covered. One group was having a birthday party in a semi-covered spot with beautiful balloons and decorations that made us wish we could join in! I had a delicious salad and got it with salmon. The salmon was perfectly prepared. My wife loved the Crab Cake Benedict and her father enjoyed his brunch item as well. Our waitress could not have been better. We'll absolutely be back next time we are in town.
Wonderful food, great customer service, my waiter was very patient and understanding. I went here for the first time on Thursday afternoon with my fiance and my sibling. We had the cheese plate appetizer, which had a variety of things so it had at least a few things we each liked. we each had a mixed drink and they were all good. The food was wonderful on all accounts, it had good presentation and tasted great, it had big portions as well so none of us left hungry, had a lot of leftovers. I ordered the blueberry cheesecake which was some of the best cheesecake I have ever had, my fiance ordered the creme brulee and they loved it, it had fruits on it as well
My mom and I came here for lunch after a day of bridal shopping, and from the moment we got there I was impressed! The grounds were beautiful and well cared for, the interior was spotless and well decorated, and the atmosphere was lovely! On to the experience with the food. Absolutely amazing! I wanted to try a steak, since I hadn’t in the last five or so years, so I ordered the Steak Frietes. It was amazing! The presentation was stunning, the flavor was incredible, it was truly a pleasure to eat. Last, but certainly not least, was the service. Oh. My. Goodness. Tristan was wonderful! His recommendations were so skillful, I went with his soup recommendation for an appetizer, and I almost got what he recommended for an entree, but I really did want to try that steak. :) His service was top notch, he was on top of things and checking on us consistently without becoming annoying, and anticipating all of our needs, refilling drinks, and bringing app plates without being asked, etc. Easily the best serving experience I have had recently! As a server myself, my bar is high, and he easily exceeded it. I highly recommend asking for Tristan whenever you visit!
This is the SPOT. Everything was amazing. Atmosphere, FOOD, and service. They really take care of you here and the chefs are fabulous. My steak was pretty overcooked (however the flavor and char was 🤤) so I mentioned it and they really made up for it, wow. Perfect date night spot. Patio was beautiful and we really enjoyed the band. We'll be back ;)
It's not that often that a dining experience is this good, but tonight it was. I decided to look on Google for the best rated restaurant near me and of course this came up. I got the bone-in ribeye 16 oz cooked medium with asparagus and I even got the fresh cut sweet potato fries. The steak was cooked perfectly but I've never quite experienced a burnt char taste. The steak inside was absolutely perfectly done and melted in my mouth, it's just "burnt" The taste was too strong. Again remember I thought everything was perfect other than just some of the spots on the steak. Partner ordered the wedge and granddaughter for kids chicken strips with Mac n cheese. Everyone loved everything. The waiter was friendly, fast and efficient. Now down to the atmosphere.... Perfect. At first we went outside but it got a little too chilly and came in by the fireplace. I considered this a little higher than what I usually spend most nights out of town but it was NOT what are we consider expensive. Top shelf would describe everything about this restaurant. I will definitely be back.
I had the pleasure of eating at The Grove Kitchen & Gardens yesterday evening. It was my first time going in over 2 years. The place looks just as nice as I remember. It has a certain ambiance that isn’t matched by any other restaurant in Tyler. I ordered the Steak & Cake. It’s a 4oz Filet, 4oz Maryland Style Crab Cake, 1oz Lump Crab Meat topped with "The Money Sauce", Yukon Gold Mash, and Asparagus. I asked for some chimichurri on the side as well, seeing as theirs is really good. The filet was incredibly tender. I was even able to cut it with a fork. The crab was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Everything just went together so well, especially with the various sauces. I highly recommend this dish to anyone who hasn’t tried it. If you haven’t been to The Grove yet, you’re missing out.
We set outside on the patio on a Saturday evening. Service was excellent. We had the Blackened Halibut and Filet Au Poivre. Steak was great and perfectly cooked. The halibut was also great but was a little dry and needed more sauce for our tastes. Also had the apple pie cheesecake for dessert. The patio area has ppen grassy areas and is also kid friendly.
If the coolest person you know and the best chef that you were in a love triangle with the best bartender you knew... they'd all live at The Grove. Thought out design details in every corner. You can tell that every nook of the space was thoughtfully (and funkily!) Curated to give it a cohesive look while letting individual spots be unique. The food was delicious - Texas without being derivative, every single item tried hit. The mixology of the cocktails weren't made to look cute on socials but to actually taste amazing and pack a punch, and their wine list is extensive. It's a brunch, dinner, bar, get married, listen to a concert kind of event space where my guess is that anything can happen, and it'll probably be done perfectly.
I'm surprised this location wasn't brimming with customers. IPA beer was ice cold. Italian Meatball appetizer was tasty. Salmon entrée was excellent, including the Brussel Sprouts. The Chicken Fried Steak was enjoyable, too. Parmesan Fries were tasty. Service was excellently attentive. Some menu items may be pricey but excellently prepared.
First time visiting and from the ambiance to the service, it was five star. Food is fresh and we highly recommend the Chicken Milanese, as well as the Crispy Calamari. It was a beautiful day to enjoy the great weather and eat in their beautiful patio, with plenty of options to sit. Great drink menu and live music on weekend nights. We will definitely be visiting again.
My mom and I came in from out of town and were told this place was amazing. THEY ARE. We shared the beef Wellington app and the calamari. For dinner she had a chicken dish and I had the wagyu and crab. Everything was delicious. I also had two cocktails which were both outstanding.
I loved this restaurant. The food and decor were absolutely delicious and gorgeous!! My only constructive feedback was the loudness and noise. It was a bit challenging to have a conversation with my family. Would totally return here. Everything tastes fresh and so flavorful! Super generous portions!
Absolutely adored The Grove. Went for Brunch and the restaurant was so cute. Loved the fancy bar area to the right when you first walked in and then to the left there’s a little event area you can rent out, tons of outdoor space and even outdoor space you rent out. The restaurant itself was really cute with all the funky paintings and signs throughout. It felt very much like upscale dining but it was very relaxing. The servers were all very attentive, water glasses were filled when close to being empty. They come and pick up your plates quickly. Our server was really great. Overall I loved the experience here.
LC Container LLC ventured out for brunch on a Sunday after church and we were extremely pleased!! The Grove is a little gem and one of the best spots in Tyler in my book. Sophia took care of us on the beautiful patio while we listened to the live performance. The food, atmosphere, and service were great!! We had a larger party and they got us in with no reservations, and quickly took us to our table on the picturesque patio! Our server Sophia was on point with the recommendations as well as keeping us well taken care of. Go see the Grove next time you want to have a great relaxing experience in Tyler! We will be back!
My friend and I enjoyed this gem. We wanted to try something new for her birthday and being a chef myself, I like to try different top tier restaurants. It’s busy no matter what time you go, so you need to reserve. The host was a little flustered because we showed up almost a half hour early (came in from Dallas) and started mumbling to himself, but we were seated early. The atmosphere is light and pleasant. Folks need to try what they can’t make or what they can’t get elsewhere. We tried the brunch menu. The Bananas Foster French Toast was amazing. My friend said the grits were the best she’d ever had. My chicken fried steak was hand breaded. Everything was delicious and reminded me of eating in Europe. Prices are what you would expect for upscale dining but are still fairly moderate compared to other establishments. Recommended!
Absolutely loved this place! It had a wonderful, cozy vibe that made us feel right at home. The dishes and appetizers were delicious—full of flavor and beautifully presented. The outdoor entertainment added a fun and lively touch, and the bar area was stunning. There was plenty of seating, both indoors and out. A great spot to relax and enjoy good food, drinks, and atmosphere! Planning on celebrating our anniversary here soon!
5 Stars – Exceptional Service, Delicious Food and Great Atmosphere! 06/08/2025 We were visiting from DTX and made a quick pit stop here for lunch, and we are so glad we did! Even though we didn’t have a reservation, the hostess kindly got us seated quickly during a very busy lunch rush. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming and lively, but the real star of our visit was our waitress, Lauren. Lauren was phenomenal from start to finish. The moment we sat down, she noticed our table was slightly wobbly and immediately fixed it with a towel without us even saying a word. That small gesture set the tone for what turned out to be the best service we've ever received in our lives. We've dined at high-end, top-tier restaurants from coast to coast, and Lauren’s attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care blew every single one of them out of the water. She truly went above and beyond. In our opinion, she’s the kind of talent that belongs in a management/GM position. If you're looking for a spot with fantastic food and next-level service, this place is a must and if you're lucky enough to be seated in Lauren’s section, you’re in for a real treat! Thank you again, Lauren! (Hopefully, her name is not misspelled by me, like Loren or other variation)
Very inviting atmosphere Don’t let the plates and big bowls fool you, pictures deceive, they had very generous portions Jorge took the time to answer any questions we had, our drinks were always full, we never had to ask for anything! All of the food was absolutely phenomenal We will be back soon!
We absolutely love The Grove! The Beef Wellington was cooked to perfection — tender, flavorful, and easily one of the best we’ve ever had. The Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake is truly phenomenal. Rich, decadent, and unforgettable. The service is consistently excellent every time we go, and we always feel well taken care of. We also love sitting outdoors — the atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing, and the small amphitheater nearby brings everything to life with live music on the weekends. It creates such a fun, laid-back vibe while you dine. Highly recommend The Grove for anyone looking for amazing food, great service, and a fantastic outdoor experience.
The Grove is a favorite of ours for date night! Decided to have my baby shower here at the wine room. Service was excellent and guests can’t stop raving about the food. We did the brunch menu and the highlight was definitely the candied bacon. The wine room was perfect for an intimate event! Thank you to everyone!!
The Grove Kitchen + Gardens is a must try for Brunch while in Tyler, TX! The staff were good, the atmosphere was good, and the food was great. The Brunch setting included young, old, family + couple - friendly guests. There was a live band and optional outdoor seating with perfectly not so scorching weather. The food was prepared with freshly made (tortilla chips), and hot menu items. The portion sizes were very reasonable, and pricing was comparable to other brunch spots in the area. Service was pleasant and seating was available even without reservations. There’s a cool bar area that is also available away from the general dining and live performance areas.l if interested.
5 Stars are not enough! I loved everything from the decor, to the friendly smiles, and of course the food quality and presentation. If I didn't live 2 hours away, The Grove would be a place I would visit at a minimum once a month. It wasn't good, it was great. I had the Roasted Poblano soup. It was simply amazing. Creamy with just the right hint of spice. My main dish was The Salmon and Grits. Ive never had A Salmon Grits together and I will honestly say it was a fantastic pairing. The Grand Finale was the Tuxedo Cake. It was pure bliss. In short I emphatically recommend The Grove and definitely give Two Thumbs Up
This place is PERFECTION! The quality of the ingredients: perfect. The taste of the food: perfect. The presentation of the food: perfect. The service: perfect. The atmosphere: perfect. Go to this restaurant. You WILL NOT be disappointed.
The Grove provides an excellent, exquisite dining experience. The menu has so many choices and provides something for everyone’s picky palate. The presentation of the food is artwork! Recommend that you make a reservation, but they are accommodating to walk-ins.
The food here was absolutely amazing, the live band was fun and not to loud to hear conversation at our table. Service was excellent and the outdoor area was fun and classy. My only suggestion would be more lights outside, it was so dark we struggled to see our menu and food otherwise amazing experience
We had lunch there on Tuesday. Our waitress was very friendly and smart. She had only been there for a couple of months. The only problem was it was my friend’s birthday and she was craving y’all’s grilled cheese and tomato soup. That is all she’s ever ordered. Boy was she disappointed when it had been taken off the menu. So it took her forever to order something. Please put it back on the menu. At least for the winter months or just a special during the winter months.? Thank you for your time, Pam Hibbard
We had our company Christmas party here, and everything was exceptional! The food was delicious, the event coordinator was amazing, and the wait staff went above and beyond with their service. The venue was gorgeous! We highly recommend having your event here you will not regret it.
What a beautiful place! Staff was very friendly and did an awesome job bringing our food and drinks quickly. The only thing we believe can be better is the kids pancakes. It was flat and just one large pancake… presentation was not very attractive. Everything else was perfect! We will be back for sure.
Wonderful dinner with family. Everything was exceptional. Chicken fried steak, burgers, lamb chops, duck, chicken and the catch of the day all were so good. Appetizers were fantastic the burrata, calamari and beef Wellingtons. The seasonal soup was amazing. Crème brûlée and Churro desserts amazing. Hailey our server was top notch! Spectacular personality! Only complaint is why no coffee!?!? At a place like this desserts needs coffee!
I don’t usually leave reviews, but my family came in a couple days ago for dinner and I had to give credit where it’s due. We’ve been to The Grove plenty of times and honestly expected the usual mediocre service. To our surprise, this visit was completely different. Taylor was awesome upbeat, super attentive, and walked us through the new menu like a pro. We asked a ton of questions and she stayed patient and friendly the whole time with a beautiful smile. We never felt rushed, which is a big change from past experiences. The menu itself wasn’t our favorite and the renovations didn’t wow us, but Taylor absolutely made the night worth every single dime we spent. We’ll definitely be back, and I really hope we get her again. If not, whoever serves us next has some big shoes to fill.
Hosted the most beautiful rehearsal dinner in the greenhouse. Ben, the manager of the event was more than accommodating and kind. They have top-notch service and delicious food. The room is stunning. I would do another event there in a heart beat.
This was the perfect venue to host our son’s engagement celebration! Working with Veronica the Event Coordinator was so easy and she responded quickly and answered all of my questions. The Patio was setup exactly how I had envision and our server Ben was fantastic. Five Stars all across the board…food, service and atmosphere! It was a night we will never forget!
The FOOD was absolutely amazing…. From the main course to the dessert!! The service was so good that our waiter knew what we needed and brought it to our table without a request!!! The atmosphere/ambiance is top tier. There is a room for everyone. If you want music, there is a room that has a bar, couches and tables to enjoy the entertainment. If you want a quiet nice evening, there is a very spacious area for that. If you want privacy, there are private rooms. This is by far one of the best restaurants I have eaten at in a very long time. 10 out of 10 on everything!!
Aron was super pleasant to meet. He met all our demands especially coming for the first time. His kindness was internal and we felt it external. I love the atmosphere, the food was awesome and the music was awesome. I will definitely come again in hopes of having beautiful experience. Thanks so much for the continuation of pleasantness.
My husband and I had the crab cakes and the mini wellingtons for appetizers, filet and lobster for dinner, and the creme brulee for dessert. Dirty martinis for drinks. Everything was spot on. Flavors were exploding. Martinis were perfect! The sear on filet was also perfect! We talked about dinner the whole 1.5 hour drive home. So good! So worth the money!
Food was delicious. We went in for lunch for my daughter’s 23rd birthday. We decided to sit outside. Clean area and nice seating. I had asked for the server to bring out a slice of cake and they were able to place a candle in the cake for her and write happy birthday on the plate. It was great! This is my second time to this restaurant and I will be returning again. Highly recommend.
Tiene muy Buena comida y los desayunos ni se diga una delicia los sanwiche
Se come muy bien. Es economico para los españoles
Me encanto
Everything about this place was perfect. I’m not sure what was better, the food or the service. Breanna was attentive and took the time to explain the price difference when the bottle we were originally asked for was out of stock. She even left us taste it to be sure that we weren’t wasting our money on a more expensive bottle. To top it off we were unaware of the show we would be receiving, The performers were magnificent. The vibes were just right for a lovely Valentine’s Day outing.
Awesome atmosphere honestly great venue amazing for Sunday brunch , live music , and having a drink with your friends or family! Great decorations the adult only section (bar) was awesome overall beyond 5 stars for atmosphere. I was a bit disappointed with the food . We went for Sunday brunch the French toast looked spectacular but the taste was not great and there was no syrup. Bread was dry and the caramelized banana tasted too burnt. Now the tamales were spectacular best thing we had great flavor and moist tamale. We ended the morning with the crab cake Benedict and again disappointed. The crab tasted weird but the chipotle Benedict had great flavoring maybe try the brisket Benedict ? This was the first time but I will go back and try something different it really wasn't that expensive we got all that food and a mimosa and it was 65ish before tip. Try it out!
Came in for anniversary dinner with my hubby. We had a reservation. They gave us a not very nice corner table. The place was crazy busy loud. Many large parties. So not a nice quaint quiet place at all. But the service was good and the food was delicious. Not sure if we'll be back. Maybe for brunch.
Very nice restaurant and venue. Exceptional and courteous staff. I saw every table being taken care of. Our waiter was polite and professional. I'd recommend you give it a try. Perfect venue for weddings, parties, and even have a private meeting room. I'd be easily persuaded to go back and take family and friends to the Grove. The food was pretty good, but the chicken fried steak was a little too thick. The batter was great, but the steak being so thick didn't have much flavor. The pick three was very good and a great choice for lunch.
It's a lovely place, I really like their, coffee drink. 😅 I forgot the name of it. It's delicious. If they would have more entertainment later in the evening when most people just get out of the house. I would have given it five stars. My flesh servant and I truly enjoyed being able to get on the stage while it was empty and danced. It's a very pretty place, safe clean environment. 👍🏽🫰🏽🥳 Winter for my 49th birthday 💃🏻🕺🏼
So excited my go-to place has reopened. Of course we ordered our favorite beef Wellington which was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, the replaced the clams with linguine with Calabrian shrimp with linguine. Although it was tasty, it was a little heavy handed with the Calabrian. I’m used to Calabrian to be smoky, and slightly sweet with some heat but this was over the top. I’ll still come to the Grover and try their other dishes. Love the atmosphere.
The food is beautiful and taste great! The drinks were okay. I had a house margarita that was fine. Another recommended drink that was "sweet" (cannot remember the name) did not meet my idea of sweet but I did drink it. Another lady in our party had an espresso martini. If you love coffee, you could get in trouble with these. I had the avocado toast & the candied bacon. It was delightful. The bread is a bit harder than I would prefer. We had a brunch of 20 ladies and sat comfortably outside under beautiful white umbrellas. It is a very classy, chic place to go. I did not have a chance to go inside the bar but it was stunning from the hall. Call ahead to reserve a large party. They are very friendly and accommodating.
Love the remodel and the new items on the menu since re-opening. The fried burrata is amazing, and the service from the hostess stand was much better than before; I had a scathing review of the hostess stand prior to their remodel. The service from Gabriel was amazing and he did an excellent job and was personable. My only complaint and reason for the four stars; whoever decided to switch from Coke to Pepsi only products should no longer be employed there. The only bad change that they made, PEPSI is disgusting.
Okay, where to start. My Wife and I visited around mid afternoon so we were there for lunch. No one was out front at the time to seat us so we wandered around until we finally found a dishwasher who went and found the hostess. It was a beautiful day so we chose to sit outside on the patio. Wow what a gorgeous setting. Our waitress was lovely and treated us with the utmost respect. I believe her name was Kayden. My wife and I both are seniors and I don't think it's appropriate for the waitress to refer to us as Honey and Beautiful and My Love, etc... Other than that she really did do a wonderful job and took care of most of our needs. Ultimately, we would have hoped she checked in a little more regularly with us but overall I'd say she's better than the average. With regards to the food there's no denying how great it was however, We did have a few issues as follows: My wife ordered the chicken meal with cheese and prosciutto, mashed potatoes and the colinini. We specifically asked for no prosciutto as we don't eat pork. You guessed it. It was covered in prosciutto. I ordered the hamburger and it was cooked perfectly and everything looked amazing. Eventually my wife's new chicken order came out of the kitchen and she was able to resume her meal. The only negative comment I could make is we both felt like the chicken and the hamburger had no seasoning on them at all. Maybe that's a garden-to-table thing. I don't know but the meal cost us over $50 and we had no alcohol and that was for lunch. Overall the place was beautiful, atmosphere was great and the food was tasty, just unseasoned. We would have thought they would have made some form of restitution for messing up my wife's lunch however, none was offered. It's unlikely we'll ever return as we don't feel like we got our money's worth and we're disappointed how they handled the messed up meal.
Me encantó.
So disappointed in the food and menu. Went back after remodel for the previously delicious wagyu steak and it’s no longer on the menu. Ordered NY strip and it came with thick blue cheese sauce on top that was terrible. Fries that came with steak were ultra thin and tasteless. Portions were good. Tuxedo desert tasted poor. Server said entire menu is new. We won’t go back. Why change what WAS so good?? 🤦🏼♀️
I have been to The Grove two times, and I have to say I'm not impressed. The first time I went, I ordered a Wagu steak that wasn't good. I have had better steaks at Texas Roadhouse for less than half the price. I had the Creme Broulet and it was ok, but have had better for half the price. We had reservations and still had to wait about 30 minutes. Our drinks were served in plastic disposable cups. I must say I am completely unimpressed with The Grove!
My husband and I absolutely love visiting the grove. We like to sit at the adult only bar for dinner and drinks. However, now they have taken out the very comfortable barstools and put in the most uncomfortable and cheapest barstools the owners could find. We don't mind paying a little extra to dine at a nice restaurant, but not when comfortable seating is not provided. Until the barstools are replaced, we will visit other fine dining establishments in Tyler.
The Grove has been one of my favorite dining spots in Tyler. It has the best patio in town and the overall setting is just great. But things have been going downhill in more recent times. The wait staff has slipped a notch and were a bit slow. But the big letdown was the food. It has gone from top notch to mediocre at best. Certainly not the quality one would expect at the high prices being charged. Hopefully they can turn it around.
We came to The Grove after checking their online menu to make sure our favorites were still available, specifically the Bananas Foster French Toast. Unfortunately, the menu online looks nothing like what’s actually being served in the restaurant. The staff explained that the menu changes by day, but even their most popular dishes, including the Bananas Foster French Toast, are no longer offered. We ordered a few different entrees to give it a fair chance, but most were disappointing. The brisket tacos were dry and flavorless, the pancakes were tough, and the bacon didn’t resemble bacon at all. For the price we spent around $150, it just wasn’t worth it. Honestly, we would have had a better meal at IHOP, where at least the food is consistent and edible. The one highlight of the meal was the Beef Wellington, it was absolutely phenomenal, easily a 20 out of 10. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whoever prepared that deserves credit. Our server, Anna, was kind, attentive, and genuinely sweet. It was clear she cared about her customers and was trying to make the best of a tough situation. You could tell even she wasn’t thrilled about the changes and frankly, neither was the rest of the staff. The atmosphere felt flat, and the team didn’t seem nearly as happy or motivated as they once were. As for the remodel, after being closed for months, we expected something impressive. Instead, the only noticeable change was the removal of the wine wall, now replaced by wallpaper that looks more suited for a child’s reading nook or an elderly relative’s sitting room. It’s cute, but not at all fitting for the restaurant’s former caliber. Overall, the menu is a complete bust, and the remodel did nothing to justify the downtime or the prices. Sadly, The Grove just isn’t worth the money anymore.
The grove is great and always has wonderful staff and atmosphere….but I LOVED the shoestring crispy delicious fries and these new fries….just aren’t it. Also these new barstools without backs are not comfortable at all. It feels like we are filed in like sardines.
Was here for a Christmas party lunch. Dishes were not clean and the food was cold. I had chicken Alfredo. I bet it would have been delicious if it was warmer. My husband liked the spaghetti and the we agree the salad was on point.
While we had a great server at the bar, Brandon, we unfortunately won’t be back any time soon. We don’t love the new menu,, but could overlook that. The decision to put backless bar stools at the bar was crazy. Dealbreaker for drinks and dinner at the bar, which before now we have done frequently.
The Grove used to be the place to be in Tyler. It was good, expensive but good. The last time I went they handed me a paper menu which I thought maybe it was a limited menu due to the holidays and they said it is their “new and improved menu” and I had to hold back laughter. They removed half the items from their original menu and quality has definitely went down. Did they sell to private equity or what? The steak and lobster was that of Applebees or Red Lobster quality. With a ticket in the triple digits I expect better.
My elderly father, 82,in poor health, came 2 hours from Dallas to meet me for brunch today. He also drove 2 days to get to Dallas. Needless to say this was a very important brunch. We made reservations. I've never eaten at the Grove, but have enjoyed the ambiance on many occasions. The service was horrible. It took the 3 reminders to get more ice in our ice tea..which originally came with 3 cubes. It went downhill from there. We were ignored for most of our time there. The food took forever and came out luke warm at best. The beef wellington had no cheese, at all. The filet was ok but had no flavor. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. For the price? Are you kidding me? I was SHOCKED and embarrassed. The bill was big and my dad paid it, but said nothing. It broke my heart. I will NEVER eat at the Grove again. I will never recommend the Grove to anyone. A waste of precious time and hard earned money. SHAME ON YOU.
Long story short, price is way too high for the quality and do not order the burger. Long story long: This review is just based on the food. Service was great. We have been here many times over the past two years and the food seems to gone downhill over time. This would be fine, if it weren’t so expensive. The calamari was very chewy and not a lot of flavor (we found out later that there were about 7 capers underneath the calamari). The Wellington was pretty good as always, but there was a bit of raw dough on the underside of all of them. Every time we have gotten the wellingtons, there were large chunks of salt that make that one bite incredibly salty. As long as it’s not a salt bite, it’s good. I thought it might just be a one off thing with one chef, but this was the third time. The wagyu burger did not taste like wagyu, it was very overcooked and dry even though we asked for medium rare. Me and my partner agreed it tasted like meat-flavored sand and were unable to finish it. This is very unfortunate for it being $22. We would have sent this back had we not already been pretty full from the fries and starters. If you care about value for your money, I would suggest going elsewhere.
This was our first visit back since the remodel. Very disappointed in the food. From the appetizer to the meals everything was room temperature like the food had been sitting for a while. The English muffin on my eggs Benedict, I could not even cut through with a knife. The burger and fries were cold and the chicken Rojas dish was room temperature. Highly doubtful we will return. Especially for the price for 3 people to eat.
I was really looking forward to a great dinner, but the experience was extremely disappointing. My friend and I waited at our table for about 25 minutes and no server ever came to greet us. Servers were actively attending to a table right next to us, yet no one acknowledged us at all. I eventually went to the front desk and let them know we had been waiting. They said they would get someone to help us, but again, no one came. After more waiting, we decided to leave. I informed the staff at the front desk, and they seemed completely uninterested and said nothing in response. Unfortunately, the lack of service and concern made us feel ignored and unwelcome. Very disappointing experience.
I hate to do this, but it was my first time back since they reopened from being closed for 3 months to revamp. We got an app, drinks, meals, and my girlfriend found a very long hair cooked into her salmon. I had eaten about half my meal at this moment. I politely asked for a manager, the waitress questioned the hair being in the food, the manager came over to speak with us and offered to remake her salmon. She of course said no thank you. The manager then took the dish off her ticket. They came and took my half eaten meal, never offered me a to-go container or anything. My entire ticket alone was well over $100. The waitress never apologized when brining tickets. The manager never came back over. I was so disappointed I didn’t even want to stay for the usual martini
