Please try the bacon jam burger. I made mine custom with an extra patty and extra jam. Words cannot describe how good that burger was. I really didn't need the tots because I was full. I'm sure some won't like it, but for the food connoisseur out there.. this is the one. As you were!! Photos next time I'm in the area.

This visit to Sonic was amazing! We sat out front at the tables. The guys working were super nice and helpful. If we needed something, they brought it with a smile and an apology. It's been a while since there was competent people there. I was very impressed with their service!

Great fast food, safe parking to eat in the car, only minor issue was a missing straw, quickly and easily resolved.

Don’t get there an hour before closing as they shut down the whole kitchen and only make shakes and drinks! Completely annoyed after driving 30 minutes from Lynchburg, looking forward to a meal and they told me the kitchen was closed when they had a whole other hour. I know closing a store is not an easy task as clean up is exhausting! But hours of operation mean your open till a certain time! Change the website and store hours or make your employees follow the rules for hours of operation!

The food is just as good as any Sonic around, which means it's good. Love the classic feel of the drive ups. The staff on all our visits have been helpful. From being willing to custom mix sodas to giving things to our small ones unprompted, this is a great location.

Most accommodating Sonic I've ever been too. The staff always treat you like they know you and there's no such thing as a difficult order. Food is always fresh and the price is similar, or better than nearby fast food.

I had not been to sonic in a while so after a prayer and worship night at my church I stopped in. The food was delicious and the employee who helped us was amazing. The only thing I could say anything about is the outdoor tables were pretty dirty. Overall a great experience and I will be making a point to stop by there more often when I am in Bedford.

I’ve always loved Sonic, but since we moved to Bedford we have been going here a lot more often. My husband and I are pregnant with our first baby and tonight we went to grab late night milkshakes, and on the way there I was dying for some pickles 😂 my husband graciously asked the lady at the window if I could have just a couple of sliced pickles that would go on a sandwich since I wasn’t hungry enough to eat a whole sandwich, and she was so sweet and put 2-3 in a little sauce container. This type of stuff is what makes the world a better place. 🫶

We had almost sworn off going to Sonic drive in’s due to terrible past experiences. We decided to give this Sonic a try and we had a great experience! Ashley helped us and she was friendly. The food came quickly and it was hot. Everything tasted good. Thank you Bedford Sonic!

The ordering service was easy and the people were very kind (even when I placed the wrong order and had to call again, they corrected it with ease and grace). The wait was not long at all, my deliberation took longer than the food tk be delivered to my car.

This is a decent sonic. One of the few in the area. The food was good and fresh and icecream was great. The service was good and bell hop was friendly. Love the tater tots and burgers all day long

The best onion rings and strawberry milkshakes in town. Warning: Large means really large when it comes to milkshakes. Yum. Oh no!!! No onion rings? That's the reason I drove here, at this hour! Well, there is still strawberry milkshakes. More o rings tomorrow, sorry.

Burgers are yummy but greasy and make the bread soggy. Never get hot fries or a full container of fries :( on several occasions we've come for ice cream only to be told they don't have enough staff for ice cream orders???

Since we don't have one near me, I gotta travel to the next town to get Sonic!! But we love it. Our old state we had 4 really close. So sonic is one of the few things we can get that we had back home. I'm glad it's there even if we hafta make a 30 minute trip for it. They are always very nice and the food is nostalgic!!! So we will continue to visit this location!! Thanks Sonic!! Now put one in Madison Heights or Lynchburg!!!

Sonic is pretty decent. Good menu options that set it apart from the rest of the fast food chains. Drink combinations are what really gives Sonic an edge, and you can't go wrong with drinks. The Super Sonic Breakfast Burrito is pretty good, so I'd recommend that.

Pretty good food for what it is. I have had some issues with staff looking like they wished they were anywhere else but Sonic, but that hasn't seemed to effect the food. Steer clear of the onion rings, they're an abomination to all things holy. One member of the staff, Zoey, always gives the best service and I know my experience will be a notch above the usual when she is working. I hope she moving up in the company.

Not much to say except it's Sonic. Please add the ability to tip the servers on a creditcard. I rarely carry cash and sometimes don't stop because I feel guilty not having cash to tip with. They have perfected their drinks and the food is pretty good. I think they have the best burgers of all fast food restaurants. Portion sizes seem to have gotten smaller and there are really too many options but overall a good place to eat.

Food was good. Order was ready in an adequate amount of time. They are out of the shark week slushies though, which was the main reason we went. Fried pickles need less breading or more pickle. Possibly both.

Not fast even with the app, BUT can't get my fix of limeade anywhere else. The rest is typical fast food.

Enjoyable hot food, great drinks, and ok service. I like Sonic, personally. I've always enjoyed their bacon cheeseburgers because they taste like an outdoor grilled burger. The only issue here is you never know which type of staff you're going to get. Sometimes they're happy to serve you your order, the next time you may get someone you may or may not have inadvertently inconvenienced when placing the order. Overall, not a bad experience. Recently it's gotten a lot better! Definitely go for the route 44 cherry limeade!

The food was good. No problems there. Did have a problem that when we pulled up all the workers were sitting outside playing a joking around and switching between each staff member while we were ordering. I would say to the owner or manager of this Sonic make sure your staff is professional at all times. Especially when taking orders from your customers.

Not the worst fast food I have been to but one thing that would put them over the top. SERVE HOT FOOD. they have a terrible habit of serving cold hamburgers. Tots were hot, that hotdogs were great, but the dern hamburger was stone cold. Seems to be a thing with this sonic. Other then that was great, folks taking the order, very kind. Hot food makes the trip better. Makes you want to come back!

Sometimes it's the best food you'll eat and sometimes it's awful. This time it was perfect, a fresh sonic cheeseburger well built and well cooked is hard to beat. also love watching tv on our phone while we wait and eat.

When we first pulled in here on a Sunday afternoon, there were only three cars here... We only ordered two burgers no fries no drinks no shakes and yet we still sat here for over half an hour to get our food. We watched cars pulling after us that got their food before us. So of course we started getting a little antsy, and with good reason. Finally when the young man on skates delivered our paper bag with the two burgers in it he apologized for the long wait said there was a mix-up with our order and they had to re-cook our Burgers he also gave us a coupon for 2 free meals so that made up for the wait. We understand there are only human and as humans we make mistakes so no harm no foul. The burgers were delicious with ample meat on them. I am sure depending on the day and who is working some days you may get your order quicker than others. Next time that we will use the drive-thru instead of the car hop service.

Typical sonic food. Sometimes they can be rather slow. Thier store needs a little maintenance, and...they discontinued their cinnasnacks!!!

I got measly chicken tenders with my meal it was not good and overpriced. I know it's sonic so I didn't expect a lot, but it was pretty bad.

The food is great but they've gotten my order wrong a couple times. Some of the people have bad attitudes but there are a few who are really nice. I would have rated 4 stars if the service was better.

Was really good but now have a staffing problem. Need more people on staff who care. Last two milkshakes I had weren't even stired enough to mix the chocolate into the whole shake. All the flavoring was in the bottom of the cup.

The food is definitely overpriced. The mozzarella sticks were fresh and delicious but not as good as I had hoped. Still better than other fast food mozzarella sticks 😂. I did try the cookie dough and fudge brownie master blast and it was INCREDIBLE. The best ice cream dessert I've had in my entire life...Highly recommend trying that!

Okay I did a walk up I wanted one footlong hot dog with chili that's all I sat and waited it took them forever to get me 1 footlong hot dog with chili only. They were not even that busy now I know why if I only wanted one foot long hot dog just think if I wanted a complete meal with fries drink maybe a dessert. Pretty simple and it took forever the waitress that brought it to me was nice that was the only good part about my experience.

The sonic commercials are more enjoyable than the food. Our first time eating at a sonic. Food was fresh but not good enough to want to eat there again. Fries were over salted. Diet Coke with crushed ice was on point. Hubby rates it a step above a White Castle.

Drinks are always good, but everytime I get a burger from here I end up throwing up. Don't know if its a cooking issue or if the restaurant is just unclean in general, but I have tried several things on the menu and it's just the burgers I don't know why.

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat while traveling. For starters my food was warm and almost cold the fries definitely weren't fresh and neither were the tots the best thing we had was our drinks. I used to love this location but seem to just be going downhill

I ordered a small chili cheese fries and I tell ya it was more like a extra extra small. If I had opened it before I got home I would have asked for my money back.. 3.99 for approximately 3 French fries and not even a half scoop of chili is ridiculous. We ordered 2 small reesees blast and the fries and a small mozzarella sticks for 20.00. that is insane for the amount of food that comes in the package. We received 3 mini mozzarella sticks. I understand food has increased along with prices but GEEZE for the amount of money we have to pay the forthe food it should not decrease in size. I also wish that the staff would greet you atleast say hello or say have a good day or something. Ice cream was good as always.

Got there 20-30 mins from close. Drove up to the window, and they let us know they were only serving slushies and drinks until close. So, i asked for a vanilla milkshake, and she snarkly repeated, "wErE OnLY SeRviNG SLuSheS aND DrINkS uNtiLl CloSe." So i guess you dont drink a milkshake. This only strengthens my opinion that everyone who works at a fast food restaurant in bedford is lazy and does not want to do their job. With the exception of Burger King.

This is a good place to get some tasty drinks and maybe a good desert. The food at Sonic restaurants doesn't taste fresh though. It's also a little disappointing that employees are not riding on roller skates anymore like they used to. It used to make them kind of unique.

I really loved going to Sonic when it was close to me. And now the nearest one is about a half hour away.So I only make special trips to go there. I was very satisfied with my Smashburger that I got. However, quantity and quality has definitely gone downhill since I used to visit them regularly, it's really disappointing, and i'm not sure that I would return again.

Have been sitting at the drive through for 20 minutes just to get 2 strawberry blasts. 3 people BEHIND us got served and asked to pull around. Not sure what level of rocket science they were attempting to delay 2 items that much.

I'm not pleased. I come to Sonic once a month because I live in Lynchburg. Multiple times I been here I have to say "can I get that hot and fresh please" because my food always come out cold or taste old. The quality is not sonic quality and I know they can do better. Sadly I won't be coming back to this sonic. After 3 times of disappointment there no need for me to waste the gas.

While the food and drinks are always good. And the staff seems kind.. I hate going to the Sonic in bedford. Theyre so slow. They change the screen to "your food is on the way", I assume to make it seem like their tickets are getting through in a timely manner and you still wait at least 10 minutes more for food. Even doing an online order is no quicker. Probably thr slowest 'fast food' in our area.

What they lack in attention to detail, they make up with friendliness. They have gotten my family's order wrong 4 out of the last 4 times we've visited. They've done their best to fix it when we haven't been through the drive through but it's gotten frustrating.

Nice folks. Slow service, got our orders wrong, left items out. I think my tooth broke on a Honey BBQ wing. Nice parking and driving layout though. Maybe the next visit will be a little better.

I ordered a CherryLimeade Slush. When I got home I was given a CherryLimeade Drink. this is the 2nd time this has happened luckily the 1st time I tasted it and gave it back and got a slush. you need to make sure you get the order right.

So my kids swim team just stopped by there on their way home from a meet. I attempted to order from the app and it said temporarily closed. I tried calling to place an order and was placed on hold. I overheard what I presume to be the manager say "I'm not taking any ice cream orders tonight, I don't have enough staff" as well as, "that's it, I'm not taking any more orders after that one". I was then hung up on. I fully understand being understaffed but explaining to your customers what's going on in a polite manner is expected of a manager. I get that everyone is human but if I spoke to my patients the way that man just spoke to his customers I would lose my job. They shouldn't just close down as a bus of hungry kids shows up if it is that bad long before their arrival.

So I went to the drive-thru at Sonic I ordered one plain hot dog I ordered one hot dog with mustard chili ketchup boy was that a trying experience they couldn't understand why I wanted a plain hot dog I have my puppy in the car the chili upset his stomach so I wanted a plain hot dog well they couldn't seem to understand that I wanted chili on the other one make a long story short finally made it up to the pay window and they had to come out and ask me one more time did you say chilly on one hot dog yes. I finally got it there was barely enough chili on the hot dog to tell it was chilly on there and it was all in the bottom of the little tray the dog was happy I was not be careful when you go to Sonic check your food before you leave I had been sitting there long enough that I just wanted my dogs and to go. I guess sometimes simple is not the best way to go.

I love sonic food and drinks , but the last 3 times I’ve gone through the drive thru they take forever and ever like seriously 15 min 🙄. Also I love the cranberry limeade and the way they are supposed to be made is with a real lime in them (limeade). There is one guy there with dirty blond hair and a beard who is lazy and never puts my lime in my drink .... somebody please show him how to properly make a cranberry limeade ! He’s not very friendly either 🤔

Extremely long wait for cold food. I don't mind waiting more than 15 minutes for my food but to then get it and it's cold is ridiculous. I ordered the footlong chili cheese combo. My hotdog itself was cold and the bun was soft on one end and very hard on the other. My fries were also cold. I expected better.

Ordered with mobile app once there, they gave my food to a door dash driver, so I’m sure that door dash customer didn’t get what they ordered. Had to call the store and let them know I was still waiting for my order, it took 25 min to get our food. Place wasn’t busy and had to ask the car hop several times about my food.

I’ve been coming here for a couple years now and have never had an issue till today. Everything I ordered was perfect until I got to the blast. I ordered a Oreo blast but instead I received a Reese’s peanut butter cup blast with Oreos crumbled on top, these people are lucky I’m not allergic to peanuts however I was highly disappointed when I ate it I was looking forward to eating my favorite Oreo blast. I will be coming back but next time I’ll check my blast before I leave! This is a 2 star rating only for the fact that I could have ended up in the hospital if I was allergic to peanuts like quite a bit of people are!

We are usually missing a couple of items from orders every single time we come. Also our food isn’t made as ordered most times.

Ice cream was melted and worse yet, there was no whipped cream. Service took forever and results were, unfortunately, unsatisfactory.

Went to Sonic around 6:30 last night waited in line for 15 minutes and never moved in the line. We came back around 7:30 and pulled in a spot to order. Hit the button and waited for yet another 15 minutes and nobody took our order but the car that pulled in after us and got their order. I gave it one more try and waited in the drive-thru and waited for 15 minutes again and the line didn’t move. Went to Taco Bell next door (which I didn’t want to do) and was in and out in just a few minutes.

The food could have been better and the price was higher than anticipated.

Service is typically slow. Stopped by 4/1 around 4 p.m.for a soft drink. Woman taking order was abrupt and rude. Man at the window was even more rude than her. There were no cars in front of me or behind me in line, and it took forever to get one soft drink. Workers at this visit very unprofessional and inefficient. Sonic needs to take lessons from Chik Filet on employee training.

Just left sonic in Bedford ordered chili cheese fries asked for ketchup, didn’t get ketchup tons of grease under the fries, tried to push the red button to get their attention and they cut our button off. Will never go there again. And if you go,take bounty paper towels with you to soak up the grease from the fries.

Went to pay cash and card and they said they could not do that. They did it with no problems last time. Also it was 16 dollars for 3 slushies at happy hour. My slushie was not blended throughly it tasted bad and the cup was sticky. Will not be going back.

Had that the WORST service EVER! The lady brought out our food dropped a slushy drink right in my lap which spilled all over my grey pants. Was like OMG ill make yiu another drink. The car next to us helped me clean up. She never brought another drink i had to ask for it and they made a big deal like i was trying to steal a drink and she had made a mess and stained my pants! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

I have been to Sonic locations all over the US and this is one of the worst locations I’ve ever visited. Food was cold, some items were fulfilled correctly, and they list items on the menu (and charge for items) even though they do not have them due to “supply chain issues.” If this Sonic doesn’t have a dish in its inventory, instead of alerting customers that they cannot make the dish, they instead charge you for the item and give you a lesser menu item (i.e. we were charged full price for the sauced wings/chicken but were only given popcorn chicken).

Lately, everytime my husband and I come here our order is incorrect one way or another. The people taking the orders DO NOT listen at all! We ask for fries instead of tots and they repeat it back as tots, we correct them and yet we still get tots..... even when they repeat the order back to us correctly, they ring it in wrong.... very disappointing.... also when you charge us $0.50 for nerds in out slush I expect there to actually be nerds in the slush, the nerds was the only reason I ordered it in the first place! Very upset, will be a good while before I come back.....

So we pull up into one of the spots and make our order. We ordered some blasts and the new nacho tots thing. We didn't know it came in different sizes and no one asked until the food came out. "You're OK with a large, right?" I'm thinking I guess so since we've already been charged it. Also didn't mind because I knew I'd probably like it anyway. We are about to start eating after handing our card over to pay for it when the guy comes back with our card telling us we have to return the food because they are only taking cash.... this is something that we should have been told when ordering . Now my 4 year old is crying in our car asking why he couldn't have his icecream (he thinks he did something wrong). I felt bad for the car hop guy cause I could tell this wasn't his call. Not going back because management wants to treat costumers poorly and doesn't seem to know how to run a sonic

This evening my husband and I ordered 2 Supersonic Cheeseburgers. One with mayo and cheese only and one with only mustard, pickles and tomatoes. Additionally, we ordered 2 large orders of tater tots. The order was delivered very promptly by a pleasant young lady. The burgers were SINGLE burgers with EVERYTHING on them! 🤢 DISGUSTING.

I ordered chicken strips and they were very sad & cold. All my food was cold which included chicken, fries and onion rings and the piece of toast. When giving me my drink the lid was put on improperly and the drink went all over me and the car when I took my first sip. This was sad because I usually love Sonic but I probably won’t go to this one again.

So so sick of these places saying they're open until times that they are not then it says confirmed by the business so long ago how is that when my friend went to Sonic at 10:30 they say that they stop making food and milkshakes 30 minutes before closing that they only have drinks right? But it says they close at 11:30 so why would you stop making 75% of your menu an hour before closing but you say it's always been like this???

If I could give 0 stars I would. All I ordered was a drink and a pretzel twist with cheese sauce and it took them 9 minutes. I would hate to see how long a burger would have taken! Then I could hear the employees complaining about their job through the window and also making fun of customers. Total disgust with the service here!

Have been waiting for 35 minutes now at the order point for someone to take our order. Every time we hit the button they just turn it back off. And as of now we are still waiting, even though there is at most ONE other car in the lot. “Update”- 15 minutes later we finally get to order after the employees received the papa johns they ordered (after hitting the button 8+ times and being looked at by the employee sweeping outside the last 4 times we finally were able to order). Let’s just say, they will receive ZERO tips. I’m more likely to drive to Roanoke next time my fiancé is craving Sonic, because it took us 20 minutes to get here, so driving an extra 30 will be worth it for better quality service.

Everytime I have visited recently I have had to wait an excessive amount of time! I ordered 3 drinks and it took 15 minutes so I pressed the red button and it still took almost 5 minutes and when he delivered my drinks one of them was incorrect so he left to go get the right one and didn't leave the straws for the ones he left. Today's visit, I went through the drive thru and ordered 3 drinks and a burger and it still took a while to get and there were only 2 people in front of us. My husband won't even order his burger the way he likes it because they always mess it up! How hard is a sonic burger with mustard as the condiment and extra onions? (Yes with the normal toppings no ketchup, no mayo, only mustard and then extra onions).

Used to love the BBQ tenders here. - Correction - June 2019 - Now 1 star. Asked for extra Honey BBQ sauce on my boneless wings and mentioned I would pay extra. Was told "if we can we'll do it, if we can't we won't...ok?"..o..o....ok. I get my wings practically dry with hardly any sauce at all. I go to the window and ask for sauce. My car hop who I TIPPED by the way...tells me that they didn't have to do that and that its normally a 50 cent charge. What?! I agreed to the extra charge when ordering. Ordered thru the app, pulled into stall right up front. Pressed red button, guy came out, told him my order and he said ok. My grandaughter and i waited a half hour. Pressed button again and i ask where food was and he said couldnt find my order(coudve told me nstead of making me wait) So i went to the drive thru and ordered same thing. They were going to charge me another $12 until i showed him my checking app, where money had been charged. I will not use the app nor this Sonic again in Bedford !

Just came from here. Ordered the chicken tender, toast, fries, and onion ring combo. I only got the chicken tenders, toast, and tater tots i didn’t ask for. On two occasions I have ordered the Reese’s medium ice cream. Both times there were a few Reese’s crumbs on top and on the bottom. For the cost of this there should be more of the above mentioned. I am sure you tell your employees to put the minimal in! How about you make it worth our, the customers, money? Do better please!

What happened to the chicken sandwich meal? My daughters chicken sandwich looked as small as a slider. The food tasted hot and good but the chicken sandwich shrunk big time. I had to cut my burger in half and share it with her so she wouldn't be hungry. I paid close to 20 dollars for two meals and we were both hungry after we ate.

We went this past Saturday. The person who brought our food was amazing. So good with the kids. But we got our food. My burger was wrong. No biggie I sent it back and waiting for a second. It took a long while then when I got it the second it was a totally different burger and had a whole new set of random toppings. We left. It wasn’t worth it to me. I’ll never go to this location. If this was how it’s always been I can see why it closed before.

I love sonic but I just placed my order then drove all the way from Concord to be told that I couldn't get my food that it was too late. I get it was 15 minutes before closing when i arrived but I placed my order well before that. Seriously made me drive out here for nothing.

I’m tired of buying cherry slushies and never getting any cherries in them. I even paid for extra cherries tonight and still didn’t get any cherries in my slushy even though I reminded the cashier at the drivethru before she gave me my order.

While we were ordering Lady gave attitude after we asked one simple question. Then she charged my friend for two French toast, sticks and charged me for a burrito meal and one burrito, but didn’t give me my burrito and then made me pay for the other burrito all around service was terrible. It’s too early to be making me irritated.

Has been over a year since I've been here, thought I would give them another try. Hotdog was the worst, tasted like it had been around for awhile. Don't waste your time go up to Hardee's or Rainbow you will get a lot fresher meal and better price. You know what they say when pull in at lunchtime and there's not even a one car wait it's for a reason. After two bites threw my lunch away never again

I waited 30 minutes and still never got my food. Finally just left since it was obvious it wasn't coming out. I even checked in a second time at the 15 minute mark to make sure I understood the process (it wouldn't activate the payment options but the person ensured me I could do so when they brought the food out). And no, they weren't busy. Two other cars in pull in spots and no one in the drive-thru.

6:45pm 11/8/24 ordered a mini turtle blast(pic), and a small cookie dough blast(no pic). The product had approx a tablespoons of 'toppings'. Very disappointed. Only a tiny bit topping, and all ice cream. Not pleased at all. Why? Next time? Maybe not.
