We had a great turnout for our monthly lunchtime meetup of friends and I think everyone enjoyed their food at A Taste of Korea over in Atascocita. It's a small "mom & pop" restaurant with the owners taking orders, cooking everything up, and delivering hot food from the kitchen. Our group of 13 ordered a mix of their menu offerings; I had the pan fried dumplings, which was a healthy portion of 10 and can be a great sharing appetizer. Then I had the Jajangmyeon, which is fermented black beans with pork, vegetables and udon style noodles and my wife had the shrimp tempura lunch box entree which was a great assortment. Our friends got various hearty soups as well as the super heated hot stone bowl to keep us all warm on a cold day. Several of our friends tried different hearty soups, one had the hot stone bowl entree and the food was sizzling in the super hot bowl. As I said, this is a classic "mom & pop" restaurant where the owners greet you and get you a table, then they take orders, cook the food in their kitchen and bring it all out to the table! They were always checking to see if we needed drink refills or anything else to go with our lunch. I am so glad we tried this place and will be back as they have so many interesting things we want to try on future visits! Before leaving, I used the restroom and it was spotless as was the kitchen as I walked by and thanked the owner chef. The restaurant is on 1960 at Timber Forest and has plenty of parking in the well lighted parking lot.

Taste of Korea has always been one of my favorite restaurants. The environment feels like home, and the food is absolutely phenomenal. June and his wife are incredibly sweet and always very attentive. I definitely recommend this place — 10 out of 10!

Me and my family come here RELIGIOUSLY!!! The spicy chicken noodle soup spice level two is my death row meal!! I cannot believe this place doesn’t get more customers. Also the staff/ owner is absolutely amazing everyone is super kind and extremely quick to come out with the food. It’s equivalently good to go which is a rare fine. I have literally gone as far as to dming food influencers to come try this place 😭. Sorry it’s so long I’m just so passionate truly lol.

From the moment you walk in, you can tell the owner takes great pride in his restaurant and genuinely loves what he does. The atmosphere is warm and full of laughter. The owner joyfully checked in with guests to make sure everyone has what they need. I ordered the stone bowl with chicken, and it was absolutely delicious! The presentation was beautiful: A bed of rice with a variety of veggies/chicken layered around and a sunny-side egg on top. It came with two side dishes, kimchi and a cucumber-style kimchi, plus a flavorful gochujang sauce. The freshness of the kimchi really stood out, and the heat from the stone bowl kept everything hot until the very last bite. Once I mixed everything in the bowl together with the sauce, every bite was amazing. The crispy rice layer at the bottom added the perfect touch of crunch and flavor. I didn’t even take pictures of the food because I was too busy enjoying it! I honestly have nothing negative to say. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. I’ll definitely be recommending this place to my friends and family! 감사합니다

The food is amazing! It taste homemade and fresh! The Korean ribs were seasoned to perfection, and the kimchi was amazing! All plates come with sides. I also had the Korean fried rice. The rice was so flavorful! Can’t wait to come try more food! If you’re looking for delicious Korean food this place is amazing! Definitely come try

A Taste of Korea delivers a true five-star experience! The owner is not only fun but also incredibly attentive, making the dining experience even better. The food was absolutely amazing—authentic and full of flavor. As someone who grew up on real Asian cuisine, this meal felt like home. I tried the Korean Rice with shrimp, beef, and chicken combo—highly recommend! We also had the Bulgogi and spicy chicken, both packed with bold flavors. Even the green tea was a standout. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Wow just wow. I’ve been to this place a couple of times and it stays consistent. The food is incredible. I recommend the Soon Tofu Jjigae and the shrimp pancake for the first time you go (you won’t regret it!!) It’s a nice quiet atmosphere which I enjoy the most. And the lady that owns it is so nice! The second time I went with my boyfriend she gave us hot tea on the house! It’s something small, but it showed she recognized us! It’s also very affordable. You can get a meal for two and it’s usually no more than $30. They also come with a bunch of sides.

Food was DELICIOUS. Coffee is very strong so heads up. Was delicious tho. We got bulgogi and terriyaki bento box, kimche fried rice and spicy pork. Was sooooo good. Spicy meant SPICY. Wish I took photos before eating.

Came here for the first time today and everything was amazing. The food was top notch and so was the service. We ordered Korean (kimchi) pancakes, and 3 lunch boxes. My husband and I both ordered the bulgogi and my daughter got the chicken teriyaki. Everything tasted very fresh and homemade. The owner (I’m assuming) was so sweet, attentive and made sure we had a very pleasant experience. The prices are very good for the amount of food you receive. We will definitely be back to try other dishes. This spot is a GEM. 10/10

I had to stop coming here. I love that women’s cooking. I would go there once a week bc it was that good. But I had to stop bc her husband kept asking me for my phone number and instagram while I was with my family. He would ask me this while my husband wasn’t paying attention. I would try to order take out and have our oldest son pick up our order but that man would follow him to the parking lot just to talk to me. That lady cooking in the back deserves for much better. He would brag about how may women would give him their instagram. Women who go there to eat his wife’s food!

We ordered to go and the box they put the food in had dog hair. Hair was all around the edge of the box and I had to wipe it down to make sure it didn’t go into the food. The pork katsu was dry and mostly breading. The tofu soup was bland.The only thing we liked were the side dishes. I’ve eaten at plenty of Korean restaurants and this place wasn’t good at all.

We ordered takeout and the food was so awful. The chicken was very overcooked and it turned to dust in our mouths. The beef was also incredibly overcooked and like rubber. We ordered the glass noodles as well and while they were incredibly oily they were the only part of the order that was edible. We spent over $100 and had to throw most of the food away.
