Great ambience..many traditional mexican plates to choose from..we ordered... roll tacos,baja fish tacos,shrimp tacos,mexican style corn,churros con amor..where amazing🤌😋 a modelo and a fun tequila drink!! thank you😊

Chili colorado was so flavorful. The refried beans definitely did Not come from a can. Attentive wait staff and you Must have the flan! A great last dinner in San Diego

Such a gem this place was a surprise, but it makes sense since they have been open since 1954. The food, the staff, and the environment were all above and beyond. I definitely enjoyed my experience there and will be coming back. The food my look simple but it all tasted so fresh and like a home cooked meal.

El Patio is a must-visit for anyone in the area. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere. The menu was extensive, but I decided to try their mango margaritas and mole enchiladas, and boy, was I in for a treat! The margaritas were the best I've ever had, the perfect balance of sweet and tangy with just the right amount of kick. The mole enchiladas were also outstanding, the sauce was rich and flavorful, and the enchiladas were perfectly cooked. Every bite was a delight. The customer service was also noteworthy. The staff was friendly, attentive and always willing to help. They made sure I had everything I needed and made me feel at home.

Always like to try chicken mole add authentic Mexican restaurants like this. They did a very good job. Authentically prepared, tasty sauce, was served a boneless skinless breasts and a drumstick plus rice and beans, tortillas and chips and salsa all for under $20 as of April 2025

Excellent food! How did I miss this wonderful family gem of a restaurant? First timer last week and decided to have lunch. The Enchiladas Suizas are the best! The refried beans and rice are so yummy! Please try the Mexican street corn. Omgoodness fresh and paired perfectly with my meal. Folks, the cops and salsa are the real deal here. It's a busy place and parking is tight so get there early. The service was good and there was a short wait of 10 minutes. I finally found a new place after my beloved Chiquita's closed. El Patio is my new regular favorite place. Great job to all the chefs and staff,!

Nice little spot! Yummy food at a decent price 😋 My husband had the steak and eggs and I had the posole. We were both very satisfied! Last night we ordered to go, we got the shrimp plate and the chile relleno/pork tamale plate. Their pork tamale was probably the worst tamale I've ever had in my life, it was dry and tasted like cardboard. Besides that hiccup, all the other food has been scrumptious🤤

Asked for the potatoes to be deep fried "crispy" when arrived I had theee smallest 6 potatoes I've ever SEEN not cool. For the price it's a small portion so if you're a big guy like me the omelettes are an "appetizer" very small portions. If you are very hungry not the place.

Sat down to have dinner after a ball game. Their chips and salsa are good. Solid table salsa, also chips kept flowing. Always a plus. Service was good. Rice and beans were bland and didn't really have flavor. Hence, the missing plate pic. Also missed the mark on the margaritas. Have a beer if you go. The atmosphere was nice and made up for it. Good music and service was good. Thank you.

I arrived at approximately 1 PM on February 10, 2026. The establishment was quite busy at that time. I inquired with other patrons waiting if they had been acknowledged or greeted. They indicated that they had not.I waited for 5 minutes and left.. It takes only five seconds to acknowledge your guest and inform them that you will be with them shortly. Regardless of your workload, this is an unacceptable response.

Food was delicious but the service could have been WAY better. From the minute we sat down not once were we asked how the food was, I had my empty water glass at the end of the table for 5 minutes and the servers kept walking by. It took a while to get our bill. Servers could talk to the other customers for a while but barely said 2 words to us or look in our direction. We felt judged from the minute we walked in.
