The truth is, we were walking somewhere else and stopped for a coffee and a shot. We were surprised by the decor and how lovely it is, like an English pub. I give the waiter a 10 because he had a lot of people on their way to the football match serving drinks, and he served us quite quickly. He brought us popcorn, corn kernels, and all sorts of snacks to go with the coffee and the shot. We didn't actually have a drink, but it's a place that's perfect for that.
An iconic spot in the city. Quiet, well-located, with the underground parking at Plaza de Lugo on one side and the Cantones and Plaza de Orense on the other, right in the center of A Coruña. You can go for a few drinks, choose from their beer menu, or have tapas, small plates, or a coffee. The service is excellent. A great place to enjoy a good Irish pub in A Coruña. Highly recommended.
Highly recommended if you want a delicious mojito. We were looking for a place to get mojitos. After several failed attempts, we found this place. The mojitos are delicious, and the tapas are always available (popcorn, scrambled eggs with nuts, and candy). When they see you're running out, they refill your order without you having to order anything else, which is appreciated.
A drinks-only place, now also serving cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, where people who can't or don't like to drink alcohol have several delicious cocktails to choose from and enjoy without having to drink alcohol. And if you come with someone who can drink alcohol, they can also choose a variety of alcoholic cocktails to try. I actually found the non-alcoholic cocktail here that I discovered I like a long time ago. Look, now I know where I can come and drink it, and it's not far from where I live. My boyfriend, while passing through, tries the alcoholic cocktails here, although he's already found two that he loves... And that's not all. When they serve the cocktails, the waiter not only serves your cocktail but also sweets, nuts, and even popcorn. 🍿 So you can see that here at Pato Mareado, they treat their customers very well and take great care of them, without missing a single detail.
A place with a touch of British Pub in the town center
Magnificent place, really friendly stuff, and elegantly wood decorated, as every serious bar in this world. It even had the name outside in English for many years, they finally switched it to Spanish as everyone was calling it this way in practice.
Erdinger on tap. Service a bit slow at times but worth the wait.
Buen sitio para una copa tranquila bien preparada y con un ambiente muy british
A place to have breakfast, lunch, or a drink, followed by a nightlife atmosphere. The service is pleasant. At lunchtime, you can choose from a very tempting set menu for 10.25 euros, which includes two dishes, dessert, a drink, coffee, and bread. If you're one of those who prefers one dish, you can order for 8.5 euros, which also includes dessert, a drink, coffee, and bread. What I find least appealing is the lack of lighting, which I deduce is dulled by the dark-toned decor. Some of the tables are round, and they seem too small for two people to share. Today I enjoyed eating a very tasty chickpea and spinach stew. I'll leave you with some photos. A picture is worth a thousand words. :)
Good beers, friendly staff but a popcorn pintxo? I really think they can do better than that.
I usually have lunch here. It is a great place to have lunch Menu that costs 10,25 euros. It includes a drink ( water, beer, wine etc,) a starter ( this could include a variety of soups/salads...they have a special soup everyday) a main course ( ask for the menu for the day...my favourite is rissotto), a dessert (..my favourite is Tarta de Queso ie cheesecake) and a tea or coffee. I think that's a lot for 10 euros. Also if you aren't very hungry you also choose from a variety of tapas. I also like the ambience ...it has an antique look. It not a very posh place but definitely a lunch/ brunch place.
Good ¡
A quiet, cozy place where you can have a beer... but having them bring you popcorn to snack on, I don't think that's a good idea...
This bar is a city classic that's usually packed at almost any time of day, which I found a bit overwhelming, as the noise quickly filled the room and the atmosphere became heavy. However, now during quarantine, they've removed tables and reduced capacity, making the experience much more pleasant.
Lugar bien situado y con una decoración que lo hace diferente. Pero como otros sitios, se pasan con los precios. La ultima vez que fui el precio por un refresco fue absolutamente desproporcionado. Es una pena, pero no creo que vuelva por eso.
Ordering a round of drinks, and then having a Petroni vermouth arrive and being charged €6 on the bill as a "Premium Martini," is unacceptable. When I bring it up, all they do is tell me they pay very high rent and that the service is terrible. €6 for a Petroni, especially in a small glass, is simply not right.
The service really leaves much to be desired. At least one tall, white-haired waiter saw us come in with a trolley, even though the bar was completely empty upstairs, and told us, "Not up there, you're taking up too much space." He tried to seat us at the last table, which was practically next to the restrooms. We'd never had a problem before today when we went in with a trolley, and we won't be back.
