Capriccio Agrate Brianza Reviews
Owner Sebastiano and his team are always ready to welcome you and offer you a taste of authentic Sicilian seafood cuisine. The flavors are authentic and evocative, the preparation is meticulous, and even the pizzas are a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere is simple and comfortable.
I was on a business trip at Agrate Brianza and had dinner in this restaurant twice. Food and wine was very good and the people there are very nice.
Good food.
I had a couple top meals at this restaurant: best Zuppa (bowl of mussels in tomato broth, best steak, and best swordfish. Be sure to save room for dessert because it's also worth it.
Whether it's a first course, a second course, or pizza, they always deliver the best. Last night we tried two fish dishes and the "pizza rotonda," and every dish exuded passion, flavor, and exquisite ingredients that our palates loved. Finally, I couldn't resist a slice of a splendid Sicilian cassata, with a flavor and freshness that brought back memories of times gone by. I obviously recommend this restaurant, but be sure to make a reservation.
Friendly staff, a family atmosphere, and pretty good food. Perhaps a little pricey. Anyway, a positive rating.
Very refined cuisine, a place where you can eat hearty meals at competitive prices. Excellent quality, from the fish to the entrees. Space is a little limited.
A corner of the sea in Agrate: excellence and hospitality Perfect cuisine, top-quality seafood, exquisitely spicy mussels in pepper sauce, crispy and fragrant fried fish, spaghetti allo scoglio in foil with an exceptional pizza dough topping—so much so that I used it to mop up the sauce left in the bowl the spaghetti was served in. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service attentive and genuine. Every detail, from the attention to detail in the dishes to the owners' helpfulness, conveys passion and love for the restaurant. Federica and Sebastiano welcomed us with unparalleled warmth, making us feel like part of the family. An experience that goes beyond a simple dinner: it's like being guests at a friend's house. Highly recommended!
Capriccio is a typical restaurant with a capital S: S for Sebastiano, S for Sicily, S for surprise. Go to Capriccio and finally eat properly. Some friends have remembered its appetizers: a symphony of flavors, colors, and aromas. The first courses are equally as delicious, and even less so the second courses, all characterized by the selection of healthy, authentic, and fresh ingredients: both dishes have their roots in the land of Trinacria, as do the wines, beers, and desserts, also with a capital S. Worthy of note, for example, are the tuna and swordfish carpaccio among the appetizers; the spaghetti with seafood baked in a baking dish among the first courses; the grilled fish and fried fish among the second courses are sublime; and the cannoli with fresh ricotta among the desserts. Often, spending an evening dining at Capriccio becomes a struggle against diets and the privations of modern life: like ancient epicureans, you can argue until you're exhausted, but in the end, you'll give in to the chef's enticements, all the while keeping your dietitian friend at bay. Unlike other more upscale establishments, however, you don't have to skimp on your wallet, while that feeling of general well-being will last you until your next visit... The local isn’t attractive from the outside but the food is really good! Be ready the staff don’t speak English however.
I booked a dinner with The Fork in September. Two days before the dinner, the restaurant canceled my reservation at midnight for no reason. I tried calling at all hours and on several days, but no one ever answered. I booked another dinner in October, again with The Fork, thinking that was a fluke, but two days before the dinner, my reservation was canceled again by the restaurant. Again late in the evening and without any explanation. I find it unlikely that two similar incidents could occur in the same way, solely due to an inadvertent error. There must be a strategy involved. Perhaps to avoid paying commissions to The Fork. But how do you book if they don't answer the phone? After your reply, I'd like to inform you that The Fork confirmed receipt of the cancellation from the restaurant, and I encourage anyone to call the phone number you posted on Google Maps. No one answers, unless you entered the wrong number.
I'm giving one star because it's the lowest I can get. We waited 45 minutes for appetizers. When we mentioned it, we were told that this was the wait time and if we didn't like it, we could leave. Finally, the fish appetizers arrived, and they stank! We paid for them and left. Stay away!!! Extremely low quality, disgraceful service. I've never experienced anything like this before. I'm speechless.
