The food was good, the green chilaquiles with arrachera were delicious. On this visit I ordered café de olla, but I didn't enjoy it because it tasted too weak. The juice was also good. The service from the waiters was also very good.
We were pleasantly surprised when we visited this excellent option for tasting a very different cuisine. The staff and owner were extremely friendly and attentive, always attentive. We'll definitely be back. We tried Corazón contento and Dulce tentación, which were delicious and well prepared. It's worth going down into the tunnels.
The service was prompt and friendly. Since it's signature cuisine, the dishes go beyond the ordinary and have a unique flavor, so it depends on each person's taste or not. It's well worth trying them because you might find some gems. The place is very pretty, as it's a restored former hacienda, and since there were few people there when we went and the tunnel wasn't busy, they let us go down to see it. We want to return to enjoy other dishes and the different activities they have every day.
Excellent service from our waiter, Jesus. Thank you for such a warm welcome and delicious food. I was also amazed by our daily pampering experience, where they asked us about our tastes and allergies so they could surprise us with an exquisite and 100% personalized menu.
I loved the three-course dinner experience downstairs. It's a unique, original, and super romantic place, dimly lit, with a delicious smell of wet earth. The price was totally worth it. I recommend it for a very special occasion, like an anniversary. The waiter who served us gave us very good service even though we arrived a bit late. He treated us with all the patience in the world, without rushing us to the food, so we even had time to take lots of photos. I've lived in Aguascalientes for over 30 years, and it's impossible I didn't know about this place. I think everyone should check it out and recommend it to people from other states, but especially to the people originally from here, so we can feel proud of the beautiful places and cuisine we have. I definitely recommend it 100%. And another point for letting us choose the music, which made it the most beautiful evening we've ever had.
✨ Apapacho Restaurant — A caress for the soul 💛 📍 Barrio del Encino, Aguascalientes, Mexico In a 275-year-old building, which was once a priest's home and a refuge during the Cristero War, today offers a unique experience. During its restoration, they discovered an underground tunnel where Juan Chávez, the Robin Hood of Aguascalientes, hid. That tunnel, now adapted with the help of an engineer, has become the restaurant's most romantic space. 🕯️ ✨ For $2,800 pesos, you can reserve it for: 🍽️ 3-course dinner 🍷 Aguascalientes red wine 💐 Special decoration 🕰️ 2 hours of exclusive service 👨🍳 Dedicated server Reserve in advance! In just one year of operation, the tunnel has witnessed more than 40 marriage proposals 💍 and now offers wedding planning services 💒. 🎉 Additionally, from Tuesday to Sunday, they offer special experiences: 🧀 Tuesday 8 PM – Mexican Flavor Tasting: Red, white, and rosé wine, Mexican chocolate, and Oaxacan mezcals. 💌 Wednesday – Night of Apapachados (for singles): Table of 8 to 10 people who don't know each other. An interesting, non-controversial topic is proposed to break the ice. Two couples have already been born thanks to this dynamic! 💘 (No politics, religion, or soccer discussed.) 💃 Thursday 8 PM – Flamenco Night 🎺 Friday 8 PM – Live Mariachi 🎶 Saturday – Estudiantina or versatile music 🎷 Sunday Morning – Live Saxophone 👻 Friday and Saturday – Legends Tour, starting at the Templo del Encino and ending in the restaurant tunnel. 🐶 Inclusive and pet-friendly, the staff is also trained in sign language to provide a more humane service 🫶🏼. On our visit, we tried: ✨ Fallen Angel 💋 Hydrocalido Kiss 💖 Happy Heart 🌮 Flirty Pinches 🍊 A delicious orange juice 👨🍳 And the Cuddle of the Day, where the chef surprises each diner with a different recipe. 📅 If you want to experience history, romance, and magic... Apapacho is the place. A true caress for the soul 🤍
I've been there numerous times and the service is always excellent, the food is great, and the cave is a beautiful experience. I even booked it to officially ask my girlfriend to be my girlfriend 💖. The food is beautifully served and presented. Good prices, good music—it's definitely an excellent and very romantic place to go as a couple, for a business meeting, with family, or with friends.
El lugar es muy lindo el servicio excelente, a la comida le falta sazón. El 50% de la vajilla estaba rota, uno de los bowls ya era peligroso.
It's a beautiful colonial house. It's the perfect place to take your American bosses when they come to town for well-presented Mexican food that's not too intense for someone not used to spicy food. I found it expensive and the portions small, but if you're paying with travel expenses, it's the best option. You'll definitely impress your visitors.
I don't recommend this place. The portions are miserable for a dish advertised as a "full meal." I pointed this out to the owner, and he simply claimed it was just my perception and that this amount could fill a person up. He was also incredibly cynical, following me to the door as if I were a criminal, even though he's the one committing a crime by selling such meager portions. I've attached a photo so you can judge for yourselves.
No parking... Sloooow service, good atmosphere
Horrible
