Melo's Alamo Reviews
The food was great. We were a group of 10 people so many of the items on the menu were sampled with no complaints. Also there were a good amount of alcoholic beverages. From mixed drinks to wine and beer. The manager or owner ( I didn't catch which) at one point visited our table to ask if we were enjoying ourselves but came back again to wish my granddaughter a happy birthday. Very nice place for a couple on a date or a family dinner.
Cheerful staff, bright and engaging interior, lots of variety on the menu, delicious appetizers, vegetarian and gluten-free options. My group also complimented their cocktails. The food came out pretty quickly even though the restaurant was crowded. The restrooms were also clean and well stocked.
Sarah is the best waitress I’ve ever had! She was amazingly attentive, down to earth, and, honesty, very funny. Food was also good - I recommend the Spicy Vodka Rigatoni.
We’ve been passing by Melo’s for 2 years now and haven’t had the chance to try it. It’s always packed and now we know why. We had excellent service by Derrick, he and his lady colleague provided water bowl for our boy pup! Ordered Spicy Vodka Rigatoni with a side of chicken—flavor was excellent and chicken was tender, cooked to perfection. We also had the Prosciutto Arugula with a side of honey (don’t sleep on this) and it was refreshingly tasty! Tiramisu was okay wish it had more coffee flavor but overall *chef’s kiss* Will definitely be back for more and will bring family!
Sister location to the Melos in Danville, trendy Italian restaurant. Beautiful decor and modern architecture and furniture. I highly recommend their Italian chopped salad: diced salami, mozzarella cheese, vegetables in a light creamy dressing. The pescatora (seafood) pasta: shrimp, clams, mussels in a light marinara sauce. Save room for dessert: creamsicle: ice cream, orange sauce, dried oranges, and whipped cream!
Just had dinner here tonight. Sat at the bar. It’s a little tight for seating and the bar is disappointingly small. But that’s just our opinion because we love to sit at the bar. We ordered the Caesar salad which the bar tender asked if we would like to have split. Why of course we would. Thank you very much! Well as you can see in the photo, it was a very generous portion, but really good! Lots of grated parm and lovely crumbly bread crumbs on top, which in my book were much more enjoyable than the usual store bought croutons that I never eat. The pizza, Salsiccia was really delicious with beautifully stringy cheese and amazing crust. We were very pleased and will be back.
We had an amazing dinner at Melo's. Nicolas was our server, he was very attentive, and took great care ofbus.
Everything was hot fresh and delicious, the waiter and the staff was amazing and welcoming as we walked into the restaurant the drinks was very refreshing
Great food and great service! Arianna was an amazing server—she was so helpful and answered all of our questions. We had a wonderful experience!
The food here was delicious. Our server was very nice and helpful; we definitely recommend this place and would go there again.
Gerardo S was my server for the evening, and he provided me with excellent service. I started my visit off with the Roasted Garlic Bread, and a Strawberry Lemonade, both of which were out of this world, not to mention the free refill on what I was told was some of the last Strawberry lemonade they had for the evening (they were almost out by the time I got my 2nd refill). After that, I ordered my main course for the evening. I went with the Marinara Red Pie, with pepperoni, mushrooms, green olives, and kalamanta olives. For dessert, I got the house made Tiramisu to-go. Both the garlic bread and pizza (pie) were so filling, that I had no room for it, which was unfortunate as I was anticipating having room. When I got home, I tried the Tiramisu, and it was packed with flavor. Loved and enjoyed every bite. All of the staff, not just my server, were very attentive to my table, even though I was by myself during this visit. The service provided to me was so good, that I kid you not, I only had to refill my water myself ONCE. Several different employees walked by and refilled my glass a total of 4 or 5 times. Insane! Not to mention my food came out crazy fast. I wasn't waiting more than a few minutes. What an amazing first impression. Oh I loved it! I’m from New Jersey and this was actually my first time in CA, around the Walnut Creek area. I was searching on TikTok for Italian food when I saw that the first 10 reels were about this place. I was like, you know what, let’s just give it a try — and it did not disappoint! I’m a vegetarian, so it’s hard to find flavorful food sometimes, but this place really hit the spot. I would highly recommend trying this restaurant!
Food: Our friend recommended this place and they’ve been dined in or ordered takeouts multiple times. We came here and tried the recommended dishes, and it’s probably by far the BEST I’ve tried near Bay Area. I can’t wait to come back again and tried other pasta dishes and see if Melo’s going to be my fav Italian restaurant of all time! 100% recommend the chicken parmigiana, the sauce and cheese are perfectly balanced. I’m very picky when it comes to cheese or cream, and they made it so well✨ Square pizza is also another highlight. It was slight over burnt on the edge but the honey complements the flavor of the pepperoni and crispness. Ambiance: it was warm and cozy. We sat in the patio seats and it suddenly rained, and all the staff came out to open the shades, and they also helped with the heater and offering blankets which makes the dining experience enjoyable. Staff: nice and friendly, very helpful indeed.
We're new to the area, and this restaurant was recommended to us. Everything we ordered was delicious! Absolutely loved the bruschetta with tomato jam. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu.
Decided to stop by here after a long day of car shopping and it did not disappoint! They have big serving size and good prices so you definitely get your money’s worth. The food tasted good, I would give it a 8/10!. Our server Olivia was great as well. Keep up the good work
The food always comes out hot which is something you think is a given haha. These guys really nail it. Should definitely give the Calabrian wings a try.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this cozy Italian spot, and it did not disappoint. The pepperoni pizza was perfectly crisp and the salmon was cooked beautifully—flaky, flavorful, and well-seasoned. But the real standout? The tiramisu. Light, creamy, and not overly sweet—easily one of the best I’ve had. I’d highly recommend saving room for it! The atmosphere had a really cool vibe, with unique and interesting décor that gave the place a lot of character. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was excellent from start to finish. While it wasn’t too busy when I visited, I’d still recommend making a reservation, just to be safe. The prices were fair, especially considering the quality of the food and service. Overall, I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area looking for solid Italian food at a good price with great service. A fantastic experience all around!
Excellent service, very attentive and friendly waiters. The food was plentiful and delicious. Melo's has a good variety of dishes for all tastes. It's important to make a reservation because it's a very popular place. We had a lovely evening with my friends. Thank you very much!
We often drive across this restaurant and always curious to try their food. So we decided to do it anyways and visited on a Monday evening. The ambiance is fine and service was Okay! Food tasted good. The chicken pizza and fried spaghetti were tasty but barratta bruschetta is below average! Overall for some reason, the entire experience didn’t leave a lasting impression.
I only have great things to say about my experience. I go there every other week. Gnocchi is delicious soft and you choose the sauces. The square pepperoni pizza with melted burrata and drizzle of honey is so good. My favorite is the good old fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Their focaccia bread is made right there. This is the best restaurant to go with family, have a great meal at right price.
I had a fantastic experience at Melo’s Italian Table—a true gem for authentic Italian food lovers! From the moment I walked in, the warm and cozy atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff were genuinely friendly, attentive, and quick to serve without making me feel rushed. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo, and it was absolutely delicious—easily one of the best I’ve had anywhere. The pasta was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the Alfredo sauce was creamy, rich, and full of flavor without being too heavy. You could tell it was made with care and quality ingredients. Service was fast, and everything came out hot and fresh, even though the restaurant was fairly busy. I also appreciated the portion size—it was satisfying without being over the top. What really stood out to me was the balance Melo’s has achieved between great food, excellent service, and a comfortable setting. It didn’t feel like just another meal out—it felt like an experience. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending it to friends. If you’re looking for authentic Italian cuisine in a friendly, relaxed environment, Melo’s should be at the top of your list!
Came here for the first time with my husband, the food was really delicious. We came during a busy time, but there were able to seat us. The service was quick and the staff were really nice.

We had such a lovely experience. From the time we arrived until the time we departed. There were 6 of us and we got together for our friend’s birthday. We had dinner reservations on Saturday evening. I’ve dined here in the past and really enjoyed my experience. The host and our waitress were pleasant and lovely. It’s hard for us to get away from our work/motherhood lives. We were seated outside and it was comfortable with the heated lamps and blankets. The food and drinks were delicious. Our waitress checked on us at appropriate times and never made us feel rushed to order or leave. She was very kind to us. Honestly, it was such a perfect evening out. I highly recommend their calamari appetizer, bolognese pasta, pesto pasta, and square pizzas.

We tried focaccia and two different pastas (see pictures) everything was delicious overall, we love the service and kid friendliness. The only thing it might to call out is that mushroom ravioli was a bit sweet and we couldn't get where was the sweetness coming from. But, it was overall good and I strongly recommend to give this new restaurant a chance! :)
This place has good vegetarian options.Food tasted amazing, good vibes and a clean atmosphere..desserts were ok. Will definitely go back.
Spaghetti Pomodoro is superb, the best I have had. Pizza dishes are very tasty and they give option of thin crust. Usually busy but we were seated quickly without reservation on a Saturday night.
This place exudes a pleasant atmosphere with its somewhat modern design, featuring a visible kitchen from the dining area where chefs skillfully toss dough for pizzas. However, occasional hints of burnt air detract slightly from the experience. The cozy loveseats and couches offer privacy, while the comfortable high tables add to the appeal. The establishment boasts a separate bar with a notable selection of white spirits. The cauliflower appetizer delights with its nice, sour, and unique flavor profile. While the pizzas are of average size, they suffice for two people. The draft beer selection is commendable.Tatiana's attentive service enhances the dining experience, making guests feel continually valued and cared for. Overall, this establishment is a fantastic addition to the Walnut Creek Locust strip.
Melo’s has a beautiful vibe and great pasta, but the salad and steamed mussels were just okay. Still a nice spot if you’re craving Italian!

We dined at Melo’s Italian Table and had a mixed experience. We ordered a latte, the Prosciutto Arugula, and the Meat Ravioli Emiliana. The Prosciutto Arugula, featuring Double 8 Dairy Fior Di Latte Mozzarella, extra virgin olive oil, parmigiano, parma prosciutto, and baby arugula, was quite good. The flavors were well-balanced and the ingredients fresh. The Meat Ravioli Emiliana, with its tomato cream sauce, sage, and meat and spinach ravioli, was also enjoyable, though not particularly outstanding. However, the service left much to be desired. It took an unusually long time for our waiter to take our order and later to bring us the check. This significantly detracted from our overall dining experience. While the food was decent, the slow service was a major downside.
This place just screams average!! My pizza taste like something out of Mountain Mike's, pasta spaghetti had no flavor and when I bit into it they crackled (not fully cooked). My wife said her steak was decent and I agree. Service was okay but nothing memorable. This place definitely isn't upscale, more of an average outing. The drinks were also mid. The interior felt like I was stuck in the twilight zone of the late 1990s. The atmosphere is also just alright, not to vibrant. We were sat at a very small table with little to no room for our food and entre. The bread was dry and a bit burnt, even the dipping oil couldn't save the flavor. We deemed the place average. Would we come back, 👎 no!! Spent $200 on bland Italian food. I recommend Dippio Zero in concord instead for a better authentic Italian food experience.
Three stars max as a small child must have designed the seating chart. I spent my whole dinner crammed in a corner having to squeeze by a random party of 6 to get up. I got bumped into by everybody who was passing by including the employees. The inside is way too loud to hear the person next to you speak and the temperature is very warm/stuffy. $180 for a party of five (3 pizza, 2 pasta dishes). The pizza came out of the kitchen lukewarm and was cold before each person ate a slice. No clue why this place is packed, some dishes were heavy on the grease too. I guess the only props I can give are the service was good and the pasta sauce didn’t taste like it was fresh out of a tin can.
We came to Mello’s with high expectations based on glowing reviews, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short. This is not an authentic Italian restaurant. It feels more like someone took inspiration from Italian cuisine and added their own heavy-handed twist—with disappointing results. I ordered the “Sunday Gravy,” expecting a rich, traditional Italian meat sauce. Instead, I received a bizarre mix of hot dog-style sausage, short rib, and pig ribs, served next to pasta. It felt more like a barbecue sampler plate with a side of noodles than anything remotely Italian. We also ordered the beet salad, which turned out to be mostly arugula with about six small beet slices scattered around the edge—clearly used as garnish. When you order a beet salad, you expect beets to be the main ingredient, not an afterthought. We left the restaurant disappointed. It’s clear from the reviews that many diners may not have experienced real Italian food before. If you’re used to fast food, this might seem impressive—but for anyone seeking genuine Italian flavors and thoughtful preparation, Mellows is not it.
not bad overall. this was my highlight, the luca, i highly recommend. service was very good! the servers were nice. parking is a bit hard, especially on the weekends. unfortunately, i’ve had better italian food.

Pasta was very sub par. Probably better on the pizza side. We all got out food. 2 bites in a full length hair popped up. Sauce was like water. Noodles were off. Chicken was not good. And the little bacon peices tasted like they were going bad. Just won't be going back here. Felt sorry for the waiters. Still tipped him well.
Placed an order using the Uber app. It came in a timely manor put the chicken parm did not come with pasta, it was congealed, cold, no sauce, and the chicken was dry. It came with a very dry ceasar salad that consisted of three salad leaves sprinkled with some Parmesan cheese and no dressing or croutons. I got a tiramisu for dessert and that was good. The two items cost me $80 including the tip.
I mean I really wanted to like this place after all the money I spent, but when I unrolled my utensils last night there was FOOD still on and stuck to the fork that was supposed to be CLEAN. It was disgusting. It had to be chipped off and even then it was still dirty. Just gross. To top it off, the parm was skimp on the spaghetti, and the bolognese, though the noodles were delicious, was quite bland. But the service was good, and I don’t have much to complain about in that sense. I did not make a scene but I will not be going back here and nor do I recommend visiting. I have never gone to an establishment that has given me dirty forks and utensils to eat with, and I am horrified.
Went there last night and had a very disappointing experience. • Food: The pizza was extremely salty from the very first bite—I had to ask for a replacement. • Service: I requested ketchup twice and never received it. In the end, I had to ask the staff to take my plate away. • Staffing: Only one server was handling 8 tables at around 4:30 PM. • Customer care: My water was never refilled. • Wait time: The food took more than 30 minutes to arrive. The most frustrating part was that the table next to us, who came later, got all their food before we did.

Look. I love the food here and I’ve eaten here several times. Today my experience pickup was spoiled with the poor service. I walked in, no one addressed me. Several people looked at me and immediately looked away. It’s a great feeling to be looked through as if one is invisible. One server greeted me in passing. One. Several people walked by, no one asked if I was being helped. When I did verbalize my needs, it felt like I was pulling teeth. Then to top it off, I was asked if the food was paid for already. Which is fair to ask, but I was surprised since it was my first time being asked this question. I showed the screenshot of my receipt only to be quickly dismissed. It’s been a long day for me and this is why customer service is important. You don’t know what people are going through and they arrive to your place of business for service, respect and convenience. Please be sure to review etiquette protocols and minimum greeting expectations with these waitresses of this evening. 5/23 9:10pm pickup.
I will never order here again & since I ordered for our group at church & a big co that use to order here too! The manager was such a jerk. I called to complain because my dish was completely different & the picture was same so I ordered the same dish I’d ordered so many times over! Plus just paid $30.00 for this dish! He says contact door dash cause I can’t do anything for you! The sauce is the same! And he says it has pees now & I am allergic to peas! So he was such a sorry case of a manager!! we changed the plate 6 weeks ago. I said yes then change the picture!! How annoying that a place that got so much of our business is so sad & rude!
