We hosted our school dinner event here and had an amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious with a wide variety of options—especially the appetizers and the grilled octopus, which was a crowd favorite. The endless dining option gave everyone something to enjoy, and the desserts/ tea were the perfect way to end the night. The service was excellent, even with our large group nearly filling the entire restaurant. The staff stayed attentive and professional throughout, and especially, the manager, Abi, he went above and beyond to accommodate every request with a smile. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming—perfect for events and casual gatherings. We’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!

We had a birthday dinner for 12 at Seabass Taverna and they were so welcoming and accommodating, even with our last-minute reservation. We shared a bunch of appetizers — crispy zucchini, fried calamari, spanakopita, saganaki, Greek salad, trio of dips, octopus, shrimp & scallop app — and everything was so delicious. Everyone loved their entrées! I had the shrimp scampi with risotto (thank you Damla for the recommendation!) and it was perfect. Others ordered the hanger steak, seafood paella, whole snapper, chicken kebabs, and baked cod — not a single complaint at the table. Our server Damla was wonderful — patient, attentive, and made the night easy for our big group. The space is warm and welcoming and felt perfect for a celebration. We’ll definitely be back!

Visited this place last night and was pleasantly surprised to find the most delicious seafood paella I've ever had, also loved the dips and Dover sole was super good. I don't drink alcohol, so I tried their mocktails and those were so flavorful, highly recommend! Also tried homemade halva for the first time in my life and was blown away how good it was. Not too sweet! Service was great and super quick, definitely coming back soon!

Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately struck by the inviting ambiance. My family and I absolutely loved this place. Food/salad was so fresh and exquisite, we enjoyed every single bite of it. My daughter loved the cocktails, my husband tried and loved Turkish beer and I enjoyed Turkish wine. The service at Seabass Taverna is exceptional and prices are very reasonable. we highly recommend this place for seafood lovers. They also serve steaks,lamb chops and chicken. We will be back soon.🙏

Enjoyed a delicious dinner with my husband tonight. We had Halil as our server and he was fantastic the whole meal. He gave great recommendations and really wanted us to have the best experience. We had the $49 Endless menu plus 2 cocktails (Fisherman’s Dream & Islander) coffee and tea. Everything was delicious, but our favorites were the 3 dips with fresh pita, clam chowder, penne vodka shrimp and the hanger steak. So nice to have parking in the back of the restaurant. It was a really great meal and we are looking forward to going back!

Enjoyed a fantastic meal with my wife here on a peaceful Tuesday evening. Their staff, led by manager Halil, were great! If you love seafood and/or Mediterranean cuisine, the menu is loaded with options. Lots of cocktails, wines, and drinks too. We had the white wine sangria. Highly recommend! We had some fresh oysters and claims, mezzi trio, and the seafood platter for two. So delicious! We were informed the chef who made the hummus is from Israel. It was so creamy! Fresh food, great service, good atmosphere. BTW, there is a parking lot behind the storefront that you can enter from New Dorp Lane. Thanks again!

Wow first time here and it was top notch from beginning to end. First of all the owners/ servers were very polite and the service was quick and efficient. The menu had a lot of options and the drinks offered everything from espresso to mocktails to cocktails. Apps were really delicious and they offered cold and hot apps which was a nice twist. We did fried calamari and shrimp. Both were perfectly made. For dinner we had steak, octopus, and we chose a branzino from the options they had in the showcase fridge. My husband said it was probably the best branzino he has ever had. They also gave us complimentary cheese and anchovies bake which my husband loved. We ended the night with cappuccinos which were really good. And I must mention the pricing was extremely reasonable for the quality and portions of food. We left stuffed and did not have room for dessert but we will be coming back. Overall, this is a gem for Staten Island! I’ll definetly be back!

This is so damn good! The seafood is very fresh with great cooking. I strongly recommend their endless menu when it's still available (which might not last for long), so that you can decide what are your favorites and get them regularly going forward.

Wonderful Greek restaurant, our server Halil was so kind, and really made our experience special. My family started coming her recently and he always remembers them, this was my first time joining and it was just lovely. Beautiful interiors, and the best quality food! We loved the octopus (best I’ve ever had??), sea bass marine, goat cheese pie (incredible poached sweet tomato on top), branzino, shrimp skewers, the list goes on… Their $49 “endless” menu is incredible value and quality! We also loved the cheesecake, halva (served warm), and espresso drinks. Halil recommended we try the Halva with vanilla ice cream and it did not disappoint 🤗 so excited to return!

Wanted a nice night out with my wife. Seabass tavern looked like a nice spot to check out. Well it was more than I expected. Food was tasty could use a lil more seasoning. But for the most part we are already planning the next trip back. To taste some more of the dishes available. Our waitress Damla was very pleasant.

Our first time and won’t be our last! My mother is a very picky, but everything we ordered she absolutely loved! We started off with the lovely Damla asking us where we would be most comfortable sitting and then ran through the whole menu options with us. Damla also helped my mother pick the specific fish she wanted—they have the seafood on display to choose. We started off with some delicious acuka and eggplant salad served with warm soft pita. My mother got the fried red snapper which came with crispy potatoes and salad. And I am vegan and they were able to accommodate me with a baked veggie casserole made of eggplant, zucchini and carrots smothered in marinara style sauce. I also ordered us zucchini crisps which were so thin and crispy! I actually made reservations to celebrate my mother’s birthday and I included a note in my reservation to help me with a candle for when dessert (cheesecake) came around— and they did! My mother was super happy 🥹 They also served us some nice Turkish tea while we waited for her cheesecake dessert which she said was yummy. Thank you, thank you thank you!! We had an outstanding Thanksgiving dinner here. I ordered the prix fixe menu with two drinks, and everything was exceptional. The seafood was a highlight across the board - the fried calamari was the best I have had in a long time, the sea bass was excellent, and we also shared the seafood platter for two, which was outstanding. The freshness and preparation were truly impressive. The martinis were also excellent. The service was amazing - attentive, warm, and perfectly paced. I can’t say enough great things about this restaurant! We have been wanting to try this local restaurant for a while and I’m so happy we did. The service was spot on, the food was super fresh and prepared well. The staff also went above and beyond to make sure you were enjoying your meal. To start we received a complimentary red pepper dip with pita bread and it was delicious. We ordered the mussels marina, Dover Sole, and the lemon butter cod dish which were all fantastic. For dessert we had the crème brûlée and tea. The chef even came out to ask how we enjoyed our dinner. The owners and staff really take the time to make sure you have a great experience. This restaurant exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be returning!

The eggplant dish was delicious with a good spicy I kick. Green beans full of flavor. The ceviche was on point. The risotto was creamy and not bland. Our waitress Elizabeth was really attentive. The drinks were mixed well. They also offer non alcoholic drinks.

Seabass Taverna Endless Menu Review!! This weekend I went to Seabass Taverna on New Dorp Lane because I *had* to see what their endless menu was all about. At $49 per person (and an additional $22pp for endless drinks), the selection, quality, value, and service were incredible. I love trying unique seafood dishes as much as I like playing the classics, and this place has something for everyone. And since the dishes are essentially served family-style, it’s so easy to try a little bit of everything. Let me cut to the chase: in a party of 3, my table ordered 26 different dishes, from starters to entrees to desserts. The portions are perfectly sized to be shareable, and the staff was extremely kind and personable, explaining how the endless menu works, describing dishes, and even offering second servings. There were no misses. My favorites were the New England clam chowder, grilled octopus, oyster rockefeller, crab cake, penne vodka shrimp, linguine white clam, and frutti di mare. Even the chicken francaise and angus hangar steak were very worthy choices! Can’t recommend this spot enough. Definitely worth a visit (or several)!

My family and I had a most wonderful dinner here for my birthday last night. We advanced ordered the salt crusted seabass; it was a beautiful experience witnessing the unveiling of the fish from the crust. It took a lot of effort and preparation to make this dish; we appreciated and liked it very much! Kudos to the Chef!! Our menu included many other delicious dishes like eggplant salad, acuka, green salad, oysters, mussels, octopus, shrimp scampi and a specially prepared vegetarian dish, along with an assortment of delightful cocktails!! The serving team was very friendly and attentive. We felt extremely comfortable and never rushed. All the food was fresh and super delicious!!! We all enjoyed our dinner and time there tremendously. We will be returning for more happy times and highly recommend this restaurant. It was money well spent!! At the end of the dinner, we were all so stuffed that we did not order any dessert, but the Manager insisted that we stay for a complimentary treat. I was very touched by their thoughtfulness when they brought out a fancy mixed fruit platter to help me celebrate with happy birthday music blasting in the background and the other diners all cheered and clapped for me! Came here for a long weekend lunch and decided to splurge and ordered their Endless Menu for 3 of us. Food was so delicious, and we got to try so many things. My mom is vegetarian, and she ordered the quinoa salad with beets and some vegetarian-friendly appetizers. They were just as delicious and so fresh. We were stuffed to the brim with seafood, and we were given complimentary tea at the end. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. I’ve tried many restaurants in this area, and this restaurant is one of the few restaurants that I would come back for. Such a gem! Looking forward to next time :)

I found the restaurant through random google browsing and just couldn't resist wanting to try out this place. Glad we finally made it in, and surely it did not disappoint. In fact, it was amazing!! We tried their Endless Menu, despite just two people. All the food items listed in the first and second selections part of the menu will all come on the table, so you don't have to make any choices. You will choose your entree and your dessert. If you want more, you may ask for more. All items on the menu can be ordered a maximum of 3 times per table. Damla was very attentive and explained all the details and all the dishes to us. Everything was really good from the first and second selections. The fried calamari was fried to perfection--lightly battered with a nice crunch and the squid inside was so tender, the best I've ever had. All seafood was fresh. We ordered the moussaka and the hanger steak for entree. The hanger steak was AMAZING! You will not be going back to the steakhouse. We had the cheesecake, tiramisu and creme brulee, which were all really good, but he cheesecake really stands out. Can't wait to come back soon to try out other items on their menu. We will bring more guest for sure next time!

From the Wild Sea-bass Marine cold appetizer to the lightly Fried Calamari to the clam chowder to the Atlantic Salmon to Strawberry Crème Brûlée and cappuccino. The chef knows the correct balance. Absolutely incredible! The Endless Meal is totally worth it. Every part of the meal was perfection, including the best hummus and halva I have ever had! The steak was so tender and delicious, and everything was fresh and perfectly sized. Best of all was the service and ambience. The server Damla and the rest of the staff including the manager, were so welcoming and treated every guest like family. Such absolutely beautiful souls that made the evening perfect. Definitely will recommend to others and look forward to coming back!

If I could give more than five stars to this restaurant, I would. From the moment you arrive you notice how clean and tidy everything is, with a nice atmosphere. The food was delicious, the service incredible. Dam, Yetis and all the staff made sure we felt comfortable, they were always very kind and friendly. We dined at Seabass Taverna for their Thanksgiving pre-fixe menu. We had a large party of 14 people with impeccable service. The waitstaff were accommodating, patient, and efficient with taking all of our orders in a timely manner. The seafood and steak dishes were cooked to perfection for a reasonable price. I highly recommend trying this restaurant!

Seabass Taverna serves some of the freshest and most delicious seafood I’ve had. Everything tasted very clean and flavorful. Their grilled steaks, chicken, and lamb were cooked perfectly—tender, juicy, and not overcooked. The staffs were also very friendly, which made the dining experience even better. I’m very happy with everything and will definitely be coming back!

Everyone now and then you find a place that goes above and beyond. This is it. I visited Staten Island and stopped by here craving Greek food. They have a small parking lot that fits 4 cars and was a tight squeeze but the waiter literally came outside and helped me park my car. The inside is nice clean and has a great vibe/ambiance. I ordered cold apps. Eggplant salad and wild sea bass marine. Absolutely delicious. The seabass especially. Eggplant salad reminded me of home. Very good with the bread. Then I got the baby lamb chops and a gGenlivet double on the rocks. The pour was generous and the baby lamb chops are worth starting a war for. They may have invaded Troy for Helen but I would have invaded for these lamb chops. Thank you very much for such a pleasant experience while I was in Staten Island. You truly completed my day.

Out in plain sight is a hidden gem: Seabass Taverna. There you will feast on a wide variety of Mediterranean fare in a veritable smorgasbord that will leave you sated and satisfied. The abundance of food may well surprise you. The feast is found in the family style meal, and it’s a tremendous value, especially these days. Arrive hungry to savor each morsel, and there will be many. The dishes arrive successively, and both the timing and the chef’s selections are just right. You needn’t do much thinking — let the chef do that for you, though you can ask for substitutes where desired (I am allergic to shrimp and swapped that for more of the hearty Greek salad). You choose your fish, and I’ve found the branzino perfect every time, hot, seasoned, not too thick. For dessert, you have your pick. My wife and I have leaned into the cheesecake and strawberry crème brûlée, though we probably should try some of the appealing Mediterranean selections on the menu, too. The staff is lovely, quite attentive and welcoming, aiming to create a delectable dining experience from the moment you arrive. Their effort is a resounding success.

2026.01 sit in is definitely better, nice staff, appetizer is hot and fresh, fried calamari and oyster Rockefeller. Lemon cod is fresh for sure and delicious . Fried red snapper is a bit dry, hanger steak is a bit salty, seafood has good presentation, above average. Dessert is really good, strawberry Creme brûlée, chocolate soufflés, and halva (to me it is a bit sweet). Overall worth a five now. 2025.12 take out, sampler and a pasta. Pasta lot of seafood, small portions of pasta, sampler has corn veggies, 1 fish fillet, clam, shrimp, etc. we are sure sit in will taste a lot better, price so so

We went today Sunday. We tried the buffet, it was okay. Although, we thought we were going to have fish and seafood because of the advertisement we saw on Instagram. They have a regular menu and they do have plenty of fish and seafood so we still need to go back and try the regular menu. The staff were nice and everything looked clean.

We decided to try this place on Saturday dinner. Food was good, appetizers portions very small. Prices kind of on the high end. As long as food was fresh, its ok.

Surfboard for 2- portions were good, the food was delicious. Crab cake- i didnt love. Not much crab. But still will go back. Service was phenomenal!! Bathrooms were clean. This place is a must!!!

Tried Seabass Taverna.. very nice. Nice place with parking around back. The red pepper hummus starter was very good.. just know there are nuts in it.. the clam chowder soup was very good along with the salmon entree. The risotto was delicious. Service was very good.

If you want good food, calm and relaxing atmosphere, come to Seabass Taverna. I came on 5/6 for my nephew's birthday celebration and right away I was hit by the calm Mediterranean atmosphere and decor. We ordered family style. Meaning everyone shared the plates. At the start, the service personnel were attentive and curious. As the time went by though, the servers stopped dropping by. And the place was not even half of the capacity. Had to actually stand up to get their attention. Sorry for pointing ☝️ it out, but we were still waiting for other dishes and it was getting late. Kids and all. And my nephew was still waiting for his cake. Please fix this complaint. Because I did enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Along with the location and available parking in the back which can make your business thrive. My son enjoyed the mashed potatoes. That says something. He doesn't like anything. I hope to come back next time and have an even better experience.

First time here. Wonderful service, nice environment and menu offerings. Ordered one appetizer, two entrees and one dessert with drinks. No rush. Not crowded. Greek cuisine. Portions were good. Parking in the back is tight, street parking was difficult although meters stop at 5pm.

Since it opened, we’d been meaning to try Seabass Taverna—and it was a good idea. The restaurant has a nice, authentic Greek feel. It’s a good spot for a relaxed, family-style meal in a comfortable setting. The staff were attentive and caring, but not pushy—which I appreciate. We were served small bites of pita with a vegetable spread to start as a complement. For an appetizer, we ordered the fried saganaki. It came out with a small flame presentation. The cheese was crispy on the outside, firm inside (not overly soft like mozzarella), not too salty, and enjoyable with the side sauce. We shared three main dishes. The Spanish seafood paella was a bit too watery for my taste and lacked flavor. However, the whole fried red snapper was fresh, crispy, and tender, as well as grilled octopus. I would recommend both. Each main dish came with a simple side that complemented the plate without overpowering it. Overall, it was a good experience. They have a nice selection of drinks and cocktails, and we were served with a complementary small shot of Porto at the end of the meal. Having traveled in Greece, I can honestly say this dinner brought back memories of eating in local tavernas there. It really felt authentic. Definitely a great spot for a casual, heartwarming lunch or dinner with friends and family.

We had a large party For celebration, I saw a lot of good review on Google. That’s why I gave it a try and suggested this place to other guests. We went for the endless menu as we this would be perfect for large party without a hassle what to order. It took a while to serve the first plate cold appetizer. The portion of food is small. Literally each person can only have a bite. I understand is endless , we can order it again and again. But it took a while. We asked for eggplant salad and other seafood appetizers, they still served us with hummus and tzatziki. Which makes me thinks.. these are pre-plated, so what took so longer to serve us. For the hot appetizers , same thing, each guest was only able to get one clam and one octopus at a time.. as soon as mussels put on table, we have already asked for a bigger portion, we want more!!! Stillserved withsame portion.. sighh … finally the main course came. We dont know what is what, but everything were overcooked, everything were dry. All my guests were not satisfied with this meal… very disappointed Overall the appetizers were ok except the portion served very small. Main course forget about it ..

We visited this restaurant and tried their Spanish Sea food Paella and Grilled Octopus. To my disappointment it was the worst Paella i have ever tried. The rice was super oily and sloppy. Seafood and Octopus were overcooked. The manager held our check for well over 30 minutes cooking and putting in an oven some nonsense called Halva that tasted really awful. It was a real disappointment, considering this place is focused on seafood.
