Great authentic food for a good price. Have had many items on the menu and they never disappoint. Their green and red salsa are both delicious and both have a good amount of heat to flavor ratio. If you want authentic Mexican food, and not tex mex. This is your place.

Gordo's has the absolute best authentic Mexican food in Birmingham! Everything on the taqueria menu is delicious. On the weekends they also serve up authentic Tacos Al Pastor sliced fresh off of the 'meat tornado'. The market has a huge selection of great Mexican products and fresh produce. The bakery has tons of delicious pastries. If I could pick one place to eat and eat until I exploded this would be the place! What a way to go!

This place is awesome. They give you the basic taco you want on two soft corn tortillas and you add the extras. Best tacos I have had in Birmingham. Will be going back. Price is easy on the wallet too.

Good spot for authentic food, portions are right sized as well. The grocery store and accompanying bakery are a great touch if your culinary talents and sweet tooth are in the mix. It’s a true gem in the Homewood area, oh! and Menudo and pozole on Sunday as well. 😋

Normally, for over twenty years , very good food with value. Today 1 beef taco, 1 chicken taco with rice and beans . Normally 9.99$ plus tax and tip, but Today $ 16.83 plus a usual $2.00 tip to get something to go . I love this spot but I guess I have taco taste on a bean and rice budget. Can’t pay two hours wage for lunch !. It’s on me but never again.
