Excellent service, very good food (huge portions), decently priced. We found what we were looking for. Loved the personal attention from who I guessed is the owner towards my table. But also all the staff were really attentive and serviceable. We ordered numerous Long Island iced teas, soup of the day, mozzarella sticks, spaghetti al pomodoro, bbq pulled pork over Mac and cheese and fish and chips; and a cheese cake and it was all very flavorful and good. Portions are on the bigger size for us but we got it to go and it was quite good. I would recommend

Some of the best food I had in a diner, Galaxy dinner truly lives up to it name with it decor. While some may find it tacky I love it. Food and service was excellent, milkshakes is a massive must if you ever visit.

A delightful little place populated by locals and a few tourists who don't mind the walk, with delicious no frills fare and an amazing breakfast sandwich that would be perfect to sit and enjoy with a coffee or a grab and go that gets your sight seeing day started. Fair prices and quick service punctuate this classic and wonderfully decorated breakfast eatery.

Galaxy Diner was a great breakfast choice with better than average prices. Service was exceptional! We walked in to quick seating and the servers checked in regularly. I appreciate that they took time to explain a few things on the menu. Easy walk from Belevedere Hotel as well! The atmosphere was casual and comfortable. Really felt welcomed here!

At first glance it doesn’t look like much… we sat down and not only was the service impeccable but the food was beautiful. By far some of the best food we’ve had since being in New York and the best priced! 100% recommend

We went on Christmas Day 🎄. My husband and I ordered the mushrooms and feta as an appetizer and we both got the Turkey Dinner. I ordered chicken and lemon rice soup as my entree and he got the vinaigrette salad. We had so much food I had to take a to go box. We also ordered chocolate cake and apple pie to go. I will definitely be back 😊. I highly recommend this diner. The staff is super attentive and so nice. I forgot to take pictures of food but I did take a few of the restaurant indoor decor.

Listen…. This place has some charm! The owner and the wait staff are excellent and extremely pleasant, and maybe it was just really good because it came at the end of a long day, but as someone who currently lives in the south… They’re fried chicken with country gravy and mashed potatoes was amazing. In fact, everything we had was amazing. I even got an old-fashioned egg cream that was to die for… if you like that sort of thing, that is. And I did! Definitely worth it… Go when you get a chance. another A+ for them being multi-lingual and being able to talk to my group in several languages! They’re there to accommodate and were one of my favorite places to eat during our visit to NYC.

My daughter and I dined here almost 2 years ago with a friend of mine, and my daughter requested we went back for her birthday today. Problem was we couldn't recall what it was called. All we knew was we had been to the M&M store prior to eating. Luckily I had taken a photo of the ceiling and found it in google photos which by then clicking on it it gave us the location of the restaurant. We shared Alfredo pasta with chicken again. Husband had a burger and my son had a chicken wrap. Food was delicious and as good as we remembered and the price is reasonable. There is a large menu with food to cater for all tastes.

The space theme of the restaurant isn’t overstated on the menu, it’s just a part of the ambiance. If you get a chicken sandwich you get a freshly breaded and fried cutlet with nice veggies. Not a sysco-slop joint. Highly recommend.

The Galaxy is our "go-to" breakfast place in Hell's Kitchen. The food is great, prices are very reasonable, and the service in friendly. I find the omelets to be some of the best near Midtown. They get the eggs right - just way you ask for them. The atmosphere is fun, interesting, relaxed, and comfortable.

Firstly, my waffles were exceptionally delicious. The service was somewhat delayed, but this was understandable given the venue's usual busyness. Despite this, they accommodated us without the need for a reservation, which is commendable as many establishments require reservations. I ordered the cinnamon waffles with chicken wings, and the experience was truly remarkable; I highly recommend trying this combination. ☺️🤤

Tried and true. The staff are friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We came in with a larger group for lunch and they were able to make it work. For lunch, I recommend the Galaxy chicken and avocado salad - crisp, fresh and tasty and healthy. The club sandwich is a solid staple - their bacon is crispy and generous. Smoothies are smooth with plenty of fruit. Seating: while it's nice to sit outside please be aware that there are quite a few characters walking around in the area who will take food right off of your plate. With kids, I recommend seating indoors against the wall.

Great tasting breakfast with reasonable prices. I enjoyed my dining experience here with my 3 friends for a Sunday brunch. We were seated and taken care of quickly. I enjoyed my corned beef hash and eggs (beautifully poached) with grapefruit juice. It also came with homestyle fries and toast. The eggs Benedict also looked really appetizing, and I'm looking forward to coming back.

Standard good quality diner. If you want takeout, you order it near the back at the long counter's end. The Philly cheesesteak is NOT the same thing as the Philadelphia classic chopped meat sub, totally different, be warned. Some weekends can be packed at Galaxy! Very nice lil' diner ...cool, kitschy decor and a casual, upbeat atmosphere (they were tastefully decorated for halloween, and the two TV's had sports channels playing) ...tables were nicely spaced out so that everyone was'nt on top of each other ...service was decent (our waitress missed a few little things, like; she forgot a couple of items we ordered, and she never brought spoons for the coffee, but, we got our orders pretty quickly, and she was very sweet) ...the owner was a gracious host, he accommodated our request to change to a different table, which we appreciated very much ...the food was very good, no complaints at all there ...the prices were very reasonable (especially for manhattan) ...and even though they were busy we were able to get seated pretty quickly, which was a huge plus ...i'd definitely go back again.

it's a diner. sometimes there are tourists. sometimes there are drag queens. but they ALWAYS (event at 4 AM) have delicious curly fries and grilled cheese

This was an amazingly lovely breakfast burrito!!! Sorry no pics of the burrito, got eaten way too quickly. The eggs in it were soft and perfect with the ham.

Was a nice little diner on the corner street. Sitting closer to the patio, you can get a nice New York City experience as you feel, see and embrace what the city feels like on a normal day by day. The diner had a nice central ceiling artwork of the galaxy, but that's about it for the galaxy theme. Wishing that there was more galaxy theme stuff in the diner, but atleast the food and coffee was great and service was about average.

Nice place with good old school diner vibes. Service speed was 4/5 and the Eggs Benedict was served on hard muffin that didn’t seem to be fresh, unfortunately, so much that we had to replace it with bread. The Greek yogurt was smaller than in most places. Cappuccino was great and foamy.

Not great for those with sound sensory issues. Even when most of the people left there were loud sounds from ceramic plates and metal utensils being bussed. With the serving of fruit juice based beverages there is a blender every once in a while. However, the lights are low and warm. Otherwise cute, well decorated and kept clean. The service was very fast, and the one server was keeping up with everyone well.

We just happened to park in Manhattan next to this restaurant awaiting a cruise from Manhattan Cruise Terminal. We used the restrooms a couple of times and from the outside and inside of the place it looked like a laid back spot that probably served good food. When we returned from the cruise we came back for breakfast. It was truly a laid back spot that served good food. We tried the crabcake Benedict and it was very flavorful but the English muffins were very overdone. My lady asked to replace hers with French toast. I happily ate the remainder of hers and just left out the English muffin. It was still very flavorful. The hostess and servers were very polite. Another person handled refills on coffee. They teamed up on serving well. I will return to this restaurant the next time I'm in the Manhattan area, and I will be trying the crabcake Benedict once more.

Great price to quality ratio. Breakfast here is great if you’re looking for a great breakfast for a good price. Surprising for the area. Ambience is great. Service was good but a bit of room for improvement, could be more attentive, but generally very friendly. I highly recommend the Galaxy Diner if you’re in the area for a breakfast. Great food, great prices. Won’t regret it. I’ve been here two times, once with friends and another by myself. Will be back. Good diner.

A warning- the baguette menu item is NOT A BAGUETTE! The food tastes good, ingredients are fresh, but the baguette advertised is not right. What I got was a large flat roll, as seen in picture. The food (burger) was pretty bland and nothing special to cheer for. Caramelized onion wasn't properly ready and I wish the menu would had mentioned clearer what the burger contained (lettuces etc). The staff was friendly. It was a bit warm indoors.

I was so excited to be able to order at a place nearby my work that could provide gluten free toast with my eggs. Unfortunately, that was the best thing about the whole meal. :( I got turkey sausage with it that seemed to be nuked too many times and mushy home fries. I asked for crispy to avoid that but it was ignored. :/ Disappointed, the search goes on for my morning breakfast run. I am grateful they did not forget the hot sauce it was another redeeming aspect of the meal.

Owner was very nice & accommodating. I'm sure this is a stunt pulled all the time by the servers there thinking no one will actually check their receipt. If you come here make sure what you're being charged for is what you actually had.

A simple basic necessity of a good restaurant is having the food come out of the kitchen hot. I had breakfast here, I ordered scrambled eggs, they came exactly that way, and were served warm, as they should be. The home fries, on the other hand were at room temperature, I sent them back. The coffee was just okay, and comes with complimentary refills. The receipt did not say as much, but one is supposed to pay the check at the front., where there was no permanent cashier. I had my payment on the table for 15 minutes, but the waiter passed by many times but never said anything to correct my assumption.

Strongly advise to sit at a table, bar service is unwelcoming and unprepared. Was pricey for wings & some waffles!! The waiters and host/hostess mean well. Good luck! 🙏🏾
