Let's Go! Ya Souvlakia Brooklyn Reviews
Great food. Great friendly service. Very nice, clean atmosphere.
I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Food was great, but the service was next level! Welcomed us warmly as we are from Texas! This place is amazing. Will visit again. Thank you for some NYC hospitality.
the food was so delicious and the man working at the counter was so kind! 100% would return here
A favorite Greek spot in the neighborhood. Excellent souvlaki and gyros.
The lemon potatoes are AMAZING and all the food was delicious and tasted like fresh and authentic Greek food! Plus they have a great backyard outdoor space. The Horiatiki Salad was also wonderful and all the food had the right amount of seasoning and flavor! Highly recommended!
We had a lovely experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly. We would definitely recommend it. Ευχαριστούμε Mike για όλα!
Feels like you’re right there in Crete - exceptional portions and delicious taste!
Ordered a bunch of skewers and the Greek salad. So fresh and delicious! Huge portions. Definitely will be returning in person to try more dishes. A great addition to the neighborhood.
Cheap, excellent food that isn't pizza. A real neighborhood gem. I always get the halloumi sandwich and it never disappoints.
Absolutely love this place. Amazing food and amazing value. If you go in person the service is always so welcoming, and for nice weather there is a back patio. Order takeout and your platter will arrive stuffed to the brim. Don’t miss a side of Greek salad, no idea where they source their tomatoes in the winter but they are perfect year round.
A wonderful place, very clean, wonderful staff, very polite people! The food was excellent, I ate there more than once, I fell in love with the backyard.
The food is amazing here, everything that I had was perfectly cooked and seasoned . 10/10 top notch !
My kids (4,8,) and I had a great meal here yesterday. Fresh, delicious food and kind people. My 8 yo liked it so much they reminded me to write a review to share our thoughts. Definitely worth a visit- especially if you love a perfect salad and dips and lamb…
The food is so good I am doing Keto and it’s hard to find restaurants This restaurant was amazing:)
It’s really good! The food tastes fresh and of good quality. There’s counter service so it is an easy pickup place but the quality is that of a full restaurant, which this also is. I just did pickup but the restaurant seemed a great casual spot to dine. Recommend the beef/lamb gyro and Greek salad.
Fantastic addition to the neighborhood! I've walked by a few times since it opened and wondered about it, so took my kids last night. Lovely Greek-coastal decor, a nice patio out back, and the food was delicious! We had beef and lamb gyros and lemon potatoes, and baklava for dessert. Huge portions, well priced, super fresh and tasty. We will definitely be back. Best Greek in Prospect Heights, certainly.
Get the traditional Greek gyro without fries! It’s so delicious, plus there’s a cute outdoor space in the back. I am also going to keep this place for catering a party/gathering in prospect park - the food is so fresh and good.
delicious - hidden gem! skirt steak skewers and the eggplant dip were a highlight. can’t wait to come back. backyard is so cute and perfect for a summer night dinner
Incredible service, food and experience. I am visiting the city and was craving an authentic Gyro Souvlaki, like they make in Greece. Tyion was working behind the counter, and was incredibly accommodating, patient and friendly, and helped me find the exact dish that I had been looking for. 100% recommend. They also have a beautiful viranda in the backyard, that felt like we were in Greece :)
So so good. Some of the best shawarma I’ve had in the city. The sauces are so good too.
Let's go Ya Souvlakia's catering excels in its ease ordering, exceptional service and of course, its fantastic food. Our guests raved about how great the food was even claiming that the catering was better than what you might find in Greece! From the start, Michael expertly helped us tailor a menu to suit a wide range of guests and he willingly worked within our tight budget. The gyro, kebabs and horiatiki were the stars of the night but the desserts also rounded out such a superb selection, we cannot wait to work with Ya again. Michael even lent us buffet set-ups at no cost and checked in repeatedly to make sure everything was OK. The catering at our event was not only delicious and seamless but we felt like we had true friends in the kitchen prepping our meal. There was a warmth and care that came across through all the dishes- what a treat to have found these guys!
Best quality and value for money grilled chicken for all you Crunch / Gym people
Wandered in here with my husband to eat in, a bit late. Greeted by friendly and helpful staff (gave owner vibes) and ordered a platter for 2 with all the meats. Huge portion of meats, fries, sauces, and a super-fresh greek salad with lovely red tomatoes. It's very cheerful and cute inside with the traditional white and blue decor. The Greek radio playing in the background made it feel like a little vacation to Greece! Will be back. Thanks!
A great addition to the neighborhood. Everyone who works here is nice and seem to genuinely aim to please. Doesn’t hurt that the overstuffed sandwiches are crazy delicious. I’ve tried all the gyros, the skewers, and the salad. All great. Sauces are made in-hoyse
Great food, service and atmosphere. Feels like you walked into Greece 🤍
I recommend this restaurant to all seeking fresh, tasty Greek food! The friendly service and backyard are a plus!
Surprisingly good greek food. We enjoyed service.
Great little spot for a huge selection of Greek food! The menu is so big it’s hard to make a decision- the restaurant itself is charming and well decorated - and the food tastes fresh and delicious! Will definitely be stopping in again.
I live in the neighborhood and just stepped into this new Greek spot! I loved the food, service and atmosphere! Great authentic Greek music too! I’m happy I stopped by! I ordered the lamb gyro sandwich (stuffed with fries) and a small Greek salad. The food was amazing and the prices were super reasonable! I hope this place makes it! Come out and support them! We need more spots like this in the neighborhood! Good luck to them! BRAVO!
I recently dined at let's go ya souvlakia and I had a wonderful experience. The prices were incredible for the quality and portion size. The lemon potatoes were cooked to perfection, and the lamb was rich and flavorful. The atmosphere was cozy and traditional Greek. I highly recommend this restaurant for delicious and authentic Greek meal. Thanks Mike and Angelo
Excellent food and service. Been for lunch for a perfect gyro, and dinner for the maze platter. Why aren’t you eating here?
I was so disappointed! I came in with high hopes. I ordered a lamb gyro, no fries. I repeated my order. "Lamb, no Fries". He charged me $17 and change for a gyro that had what seemed to be one thin marinated strip of tough, low quality London Broil steak. And as a filler, the gyro was filled with FRIES! I could only manage 3 bites, before deciding to give it to the homeless man in front of the Chase bank. Luckily, the pizza shop across the street allowed me to get the taste of unfulfilled expectation out of my mouth. Note: The packaging was top rate.
The portions hit the spot, and the staff make you feel like family. If delicious Greek food and good energy has a baby- this place would be it. Highly recommended
Amazing too my wife here ! Such great flavors and authentic vibe. My favorite was how kind the staff is in guiding your choices. This is now going to enter our regular rotation
A piece of Greece in Brooklyn. If you're yearning for Greek food and you're in New York, then you must come here. Excellent dishes, souvlakia, salads, extraordinary dakos, Greek wine... and our music on the Greek courtyard. In short, a splendid atmosphere and exquisite service. You won't regret this great place.
Great food. Mike was working behind the counter and was really friendly. Fun to talk with. Quiet, unfussy, clean, bright space.
A friend brought me here and raved about the lamb special and wow was he right! It was tender, juicy, and incredibly delicious!!
Lemon potatoes were melt in your mouth! We got the small ya three meat platter advertised for 2 but I think it def could have fed 5-6. The back patio is such a nice oasis in the city. We got the lamb chop special which was super flavorful but one was a bit over cooked. Would order again tho! Pay and order at the cash then seat yourself. Inside is cute too. Bathroom was satisfactory
The food is great! Authentic Greek, good ingredients and friendly service.
Food is fantastic, staff are always friendly, and the space is cute. Back yard is great in the warm months.
Chill place to get lunch. Got the chicken gyro platter w the Ya sauce and it was delicious and a super satiating portion. The pita is delicious and all the produce was super crispy and tasted fresh. I also love the Greek radio station playing at the *perfect* volume. Guys behind the counter were nice, too. Will return!
I literally love this spot. The owner is so nice and the food is fireeee. I always get the gyro special and it hits every single time. The atmosphere is very cute and calm. Such a chill spot with great food. Customer service is amazing!!!
Food and staff were excellent! I ordered the mixed platter with chicken and lamb, and it was delicious. Will definitely come back again soon. Shout out to Mike for his genuine hospitality.
Got the pork gyro and it was phenomenal. I;ve been top greece before and it reminds me of the gyros I would get in the streets of athens. Would recommend if you like gyros! More of a take out place but the interior is very nice and welcoming. Staff was great.
if you are craving a gyro or great greek food, this is it. Moved here a few months ago and this is a stable for me almost every week. I love the lam/beef and fresh crisp produce. Dont sleep on their spicy sauce, its a must! Love this place.
My first time trying Greek food! It was a warm welcoming by the owner Michael! He was very generous in service and the staff did an amazing job cooking my meals! The Let’s Go Burger was delicious (VIP early access on this menu item! 😏) . I then was served the family platter (aka welcome to the family platter) which was delicious! The steak, chicken and lamb were cooked perfectly, the pita bread was nice and crispy and the vegetables were fresh and delicious! Not to mention the sauces they provided on the side were a nice addition to the meal. The white wine was also very smooth and nice! (St. Elias Assyrtiko). Last but not least, don’t leave without trying a pastry or dessert before you leave! Definitely coming back for more! Check out their Instagram page @letsgoyasouvlakia, give them a follow!
We come here twice a week if no more! The quality and freshness of the food is amazing. It really feels and tastes like eating in Greece. I also recommend the homemade deserts! Best addition to the neighborhood in years.
Their chicken skewers are bomb! Highly recommend the chicken piato (platter) with Ya sauce. The people are always so friendly, the decor is so cute, and I especially love the old school Greek music!
Delicious with generous portions! The $15 gyro meal with fries and a soda is the best deal around. Lovely restaurant, with outdoor space that looks great.
Juicy kabobs, service was good, they offered to cut the spanokopita in half so we can share it. The lemon and cherry juices are refreshing. Even the tomato on the shrimp kabob was tasty
Hands down to one of my favorite restaurant in Brooklyn. The food is always fresh and full of flavor, and everything tastes truly authentic. Even when I order delivery, the staff’s care shows through and the food arrives perfectly every time. I keep coming back and it never disappoints. Highly recommend.
The food at Ya Souvlakia is consistently great, freshly made, and given in generous portions. The platters can easily feed three or more people, and the gyros are packed. The space is simple and clean, with a beautiful backyard for pleasant outdoor dining. The team is always super friendly and delivers the food quickly. I've ordered for take out and the presentation is good and maintains its quality. This is a great neighborhood spot to pick up food when you need a quick bite or to sit with friends and enjoy a meal.
We were craving authentic Greek food and we came upon this location and were so glad we did! The employee was so kind and explained the menu to us. We both got two chicken gyros (my husband had his with the Ya sauce and I had taziki with mine). It really hit the spot and reminded us of our trips to Greece! we will be coming back for the food, atmosphere, and service!
I had a great experience here! The food was delicious everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The service was even better: the staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole visit enjoyable. I loved it and would definitely come back again! Special shoutout to Tyion for the amazing service. They made the experience even better!
Let’s go ya souvlakia serves incredible fresh, flavorful souvlaki with perfectly grilled meat and rich. The atmosphere is warm, the service is quick. The portions are generous for the price. One the best spots. Around for authentic Greek street-food flavors.
I honestly don’t understand how this place could ever have bad reviews the food at Let’s Go Ya Souvlakia is fresh, delicious, and incredibly authentic! Everything tastes amazing and feels healthy. I especially love the bowls the chicken kabobs are my absolute favorite! I even asked to customize my chicken, and they did it perfectly for me. The staff is super nice and accommodating. You must try the gyro sandwich too absolutely 🤤 I just love this place!
Let’s Go Ya Souvlaki brings true flavors of Greece straight to the heart of Brooklyn. Right when you step inside, you’re greeted by the irresistible aroma of gyro meats sizzling on the vertical rotisserie with warm smiles of the friendly chefs behind the counter. Menu is packed with classic Greek flavors. Whether you’re grabbing a gyro sandwich or a full platter, every bite is satisfying and full of flavor. Portions are generous and prices are more than fair. Take your meal out back to their serene and beautifully tucked away backyard. A perfect peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the street. Now don’t skip dessert. Their homemade Strawberry Biscotti Cake made with rich Greek yogurt is the perfect sweet finish. Craving authentic Greek comfort food in a cozy, welcoming spot? Let’s Go Ya Souvlaki is the go to spot!
The experience here is really good!! The food is GREAT and the atmosphere was very calm and relaxing and there’s even an outside area. Fresh food! I enjoyed it! Will come back again! Gracie was really nice and a good, friendly, helpful staff member. Good portion sizes too! I like it!!! Thumbs up! And this was my first time. I got the bowl but my friend got the three meat platter. She enjoyed it!
Authentic Greek Delight⭐️Delicious Vegan options, with a Secret Garden Charm This Brooklyn Greek restaurant is a gem! The food is incredibly delicious, clearly made with fresh and high-quality ingredients. I was also very happy to find some really tasty and well-prepared vegan options on the menu. The atmosphere is wonderful, especially the beautiful secret garden in the back. The owner and staff are warm and welcoming. Highly recommend experiencing this lovely spot for authentic Greek flavors made with care, offering something for everyone, including excellent vegan choices!
I have ordered pickup and delivery from here and the food had been exceptionally delicious each time. The reason I only have 4 stars is because: 1. They need to add drinks to the menu for delivery. 2. The price for a 2oz sauce should not be $4. You think you’re getting enough extra sauce to do something and it’s not enough to cover the whole sandwich and there’s definitely not enough sauce put on initially. Ordered Red Ya sauce expecting a homemade sauce and received hot sauce packets. 3. Food is a bit too oily, but tasty so I just dab it with some paper towels. Overall worth eating here, but please add drinks for delivery because Greek sodas are the bee’s knees!!!
Very tasty good and large portions. The veggies are especially good and mixed and not just potato filling. A neighborhood staple for fast, real food. The only issue here is menu pricing transparency. The salmon bowl is 17.95 but everytime I order it, it's about $25. When I ask, I get this complicated explanation that I don't understand. This can be easily fixed with a little clarity and transparency- just write the actual price of every item on the menu, like every other restaurant.
Ordered take out - the mixed grill family platter was very impressive but Not enough sauces, meats were really dry and the gyro meat- not quality. I really want this place to be awesome so will try another time and another dish.
Love this restaurant. Great service and great people. All staff is nice especially Tyson. Very great at making people feel Welcomed. Food is extremely fresh. My only issue is cooks are not more attentive to instructions. The second time I’ve received a pita with the wrong sauces. Will definitely come back but I have to remind myself to check food before I leave. *update. I ended up having an entirely wrong pita. Chicken instead of lamb. Check your food here*
I was really rooting for this place to get it right, but unfortunately the quality of the food is not great. I've tried their chicken, haloumi and pork skewers over the last year and all left me disappointed. They are clearly trying to offer a good service for the price so I'm not sure why the result is not better. As for the environment, I found it a bit uncomfortable but this is more of a counter than a sit-down place.
I really wanted to like the place but walked away disappointed. The chicken was so so dry taking away any real favor that might have been in the meat. After two bites I was over it. The French fries were beyond mush not fried well and the once at the bottom were barley yellow. The whole thing was disappointing and I had to force myself to finish it because it wasn’t exactly cheap for the quality of food.
Recently, I discovered a Greek restaurant called Ya Souvlaki on Flatbush and ended up visiting three times within a week. The food was good, and the staff was pleasant. However, I encountered an issue on my second visit when I ordered the Lamb Kebab Piato (two lamb kebab skewers with tzatziki sauce, pita bread, a side of YA house salad with dressing, a choice of sauce, fresh fries, and grilled tomato) for $16.00. To my surprise, the dish used minced meat rather than whole lamb pieces. On my third visit, I specifically requested the Lamb Kalamaki (Lamb Skewer Platter), expecting the skewer of lamb chunks as listed on the menu. This platter, priced at $20.00, includes one lamb skewer with tzatziki sauce, pita bread, a side of salad, a choice of sauce, fresh fries, and grilled tomato. When I arrived to pick up my order, the cashier handed me a small bag containing only two lamb skewers and some bread, for which I was charged $21.78. I found this odd, as the rest of the platter items were missing. This experience, which happened on October 31, left me uneasy. When I called the restaurant today to share my concerns with the owner, he showed no concern about the menu discrepancy or the incomplete order. Instead, he criticized me for not addressing the issue immediately, even accusing me of ordering incorrectly. He suggested that I visit the restaurant so he could "teach me how to order food." His dismissive, aggressive attitude left a negative impression. The food may be good, and the staff generally pleasant, but the owner's response was extremely rude and disappointing. I find him to be very aggressive and literally asinine!!!
I came in here thought I’d give it a try. But the service Is horrible. The lady at the front register literally stopped taking orders when I got to the register & I was the last person in line….. doesn’t make sense she then began serving people that came in after me to pick up uber eats orders and prolonged taking my order to start serving people on the floor. Literally no customer awareness or professionalism. She then got nasty with me because I asked “can I place my order” replying they are busy and have to continue to wait. Mind you online orders are still coming in and over eats delivery drivers are still coming into the restaurant making my wait time even more longer. I don’t mind waiting understand people and restaurants being busy, what I don’t understand as someone who works in the service industry is ignoring certain customers, unprofessionalism and a lack of urgency or acknowledgement. Even something simple as telling me the options for the pita bowl she was rude and “you can just look up there” which I had to reply I can’t because I don’t have my glasses…. I haven’t ate the food yet but based on services I won’t be coming back
