Was craving sushi on a random Wednesday evening, so I decided to go to place due to the high reviews. I ordered the Crunchy spicy salmon roll and the Bagel Roll. The fish was nice and fresh! The Bagel roll was my favorite!!! So delicious! The thai iced tea was a nice beverage to have on the side. The server was attentive, but I was also the only one there lol!! Additionally the bathroom was clean which is a plus! Great experience all around. Since its a small place I could see it getting really crowded during peak times! I will definitely return.

I got a two roll lunch special for $12.50 and everything was divine, even the salad and miso soup. This is officially on my weekly rotation.

Best sushi (and fastest delivery!) in Brooklyn

I’m so picky about sushi and NYC does not have good affordable places but Sumi is my absolute favorite in Brooklyn. There’s only one other place in Queens I like and they compete with each other for the best. The fish is always fresh and the salad greens are always crisp.

My experience was amazing. Kevin was very hands on with the service he rendered. He made sure that we were very comfortable and he was able to make exactly what we need. I will definitely go back and also tell other friend and family about Simi restaurant. Thank you Kevin and the team for such wonderful day. Your smile was irresistible.

I just made the mistake of accidentally ordering from a nearby spot instead of Sumi… and I could tell the difference right away. SUMI IS THE BEST. The fish is high quality and fresh- even the rice tastes better. The lunch special is my favorite! (my disappointing mistake today- never again!) Sumi forever!

The delivery only took 20 or at most 25 min from when I placed the order, which is 10-20 min earlier than it said on Seamless! Everything was delicious, from the Seafood Fried Rice (which had shrimp, scallops, and imitation crabmeat), to the Rack of Lamb, to the Dancing Eel Roll, their Sashimi, and their Salmon Skin Salad. Definitely worth the price. Quality is definitely great. This was ordered on a Sunday around 5 pm. Was recommended this place and was told delivery is fast so definitely a great reputation to have.

Best sushi I’ve had. It’s so fresh and full of amazing flavors. Every single thing we ordered was a favorite. The space is very clean and the staff is so kind and attentive.

I’ve gotten takeout and delivery here many times and it’s always great quality sushi for a decent price, kamikaze roll and dancing eel rolls are two of my favorites. The staff is very attentive and the food is usually ready within 20 minutes, love Sumi!!

The duck salad is to die for. I drive far just for this simple salad. It’s a bit small so don’t expect to be full, make sure you pair it with and entree. I love the portion and it is amazing every time!

My friend who joined me is allergic to shell fish (tough, I know), yet he was able to get a few things including the delicious dumplings while I had more chef special rolls than I could even finish. We washed it all down with two amazing bottles of sake. I will definitely be back before another show. Thanks team!

This place does a bunch of business on the takeout and delivery side apparently but it was great to see that they also had a few tables for groups to enjoy a meal inside the restaurant. My friend who joined me is allergic to shell fish (tough, I know), yet he was able to get a few things including the delicious dumplings while I had more chef special rolls than I could even finish. We washed it all down with two amazing bottles of sake. I will definitely be back before another show. Thanks team!

Never a fishy bad flavor and their recipes are delicious. Try their ramen as well it’s amazing. Moro (I hope I got the name correct) was an amazing server. Polite friendly and eager for the business. With so many sushi options out there I’m glad they take the time to have good customer care because that’s what really sets a place apart. Keep it up. Looking forward to returning. As far as dining in it’s a bit small but definitely doable. However I recommend ordering out. They are on all the food apps and take orders over the phone as well.

Next time will try pork katsu for one of the selections.

This is my go-to lunch special in the area! Great standard sushi with really great rice to sushi ratio. BUT! The one thing that bothers me is that they charge extra for spicy mayo on the side (which is fine!) but then they forget it every single time i order out! So if you order take out and get extra spicy mayo, make sure that they actually put it in your order! I wouldn’t care, but this has happened twice and i don’t want to pay extra for something that never comes! Really hope they resolve this one issue because otherwise they are perfect!

I was shocked to see 3 rolls for $16 on the menu... until I got the rolls. It was the saddest sushi I've ever seen. The thin layer of rice was barely sticking to the seaweed, and some of the pieces had <25% fish. I'm really hoping I can trust that A health rating in the window...

Ordered at a regular time (hours before closing), had my order accepted and then later it was cancelled out of nowhere without explanation.

Yikes. The tuna and salmon were not fresh. Odd tasting and had a slightly strange smell.

I used to love this place but after biting down on a STAPLE in my sushi, I’m out.

Employees are very rude. My card was used fraudulently at this store. I called and told them a purchase was made and I’d like to know who. I was told he could not tell me because they have no access to credit card records and they don’t ask for id when placing orders. I told him I had my card on me so someone would have to have typed the numbers . Before I could finish speaking he hung up. Seems as though maybe the worker used my card. Who knows. Very rude. Will be contacting back and filing police report.

I got food poisoning at this restaurant and an item that I bought on their menu was misleading and false. I ordered a spicy crab roll, bento box, and a cucumber roll. I had severe stomach cramps and diarrhea. The spicy crab roll was made of immitation crab, not real crab meat. Immitation crab meat is processed and made out of pulverized fish and food coloring. Cross contamination is clearly prevalent in their kitchen since someone else made a review about this before on Yelp

Really poor quality sushi. Ordered in seamless. First of all, the smell. The smell was…pungent, to say the least. I ordered tuna and salmon. Both were discolored, poorly assembled, and (most disgustingly of all) flecked with green that was certainly not wasabi. Pictures, attached, are worth a thousand words.
