Gin Gin Buffalo Reviews
Very authentic, loved it! I picked up chicken and broccoli to go....I am from TX ...great Chinese food like this is definitely a treat for me.
the place is frankly quite ugly, but the authentic Chinese food is amazing, dont bethat guy who goes to a chinese place to order chicken wings, or orders tsos chicken all the time. try their authentic chinese specials.
Love their food. Have been dining there for over 10 years and have never had a bad meal or any complaints.
I drive for 2 hours, from Ontario Canada whenever I’m free, just to enjoy a meal here. It is even better than MANY Chinese restaurants in Toronto downtown and outskirts. Strongly recommend the unique milk tea.
The owner is always pleasant. The food is always too notch. We ordered the lunch combo plus an extra order of soups. There was plenty of food to enjoy the next day too.
I've been a customer for over 10 years, I adore Gin Gin! The owner is a sweetheart and staff is always kind...My order is always perfect and delicious, quality has never faltered...This is authentic, gourmet cuisine folks..My family loves the sweet and sour chicken, it's not your ordinary dish with the kool-aid red sauce, they have a sweet, dark homemade sauce that is to die for. I love the Mei Fun rice noodle with shrimp-best in town-no debates! Hubby loves the General Tsao's. They serve great portion sizes, so we never mind paying a little more for dinner here..we usually order to go and it's still piping hot when we reach home in Elmwood Village. Always worth the drive lol
Heard mixed reviews, needed to try it out. All the menus online are old, don't rely on them for price or selection. Tasty American Chinese food, big portions, cute restaurant if you want to sit in and eat.
Gin gin has always been my go to for Chinese! So much delicious food for reasonable prices. My favorite General Tso With lo mein and pork eggroll, the best noodles around, big and flat, a quart.of wonton soup and fortune cookies and I barely made a dent in all of it! All that for $23 and I'm a happy gal! Ten stars if they had em! 😊❤
Been coming for years. Used to come at least once a week while at UB. Idk if they still do this but they used to let you customize orders back then. They'd make a white meat general tsos, made with sliced chicken instead of battered and deep fried, which was so good.
Some of the most authentic Chinese food in town. I love their noodle dishes and dumplings. Everything seems so fresh and comes out piping hot. Friendly staff and lots of parking
Best Chinese Food Ever!!! If you haven’t eaten here you are missing out!! Owner is very nice and welcoming!! I give a 5 star ⭐️ Food is Delicious
One of the best Authentic Chinese restaurants around with big portions! Your money is well worth. I totally recommend you trying out their authentic Chinese dishes.
I always get the beef stew noodle soup (Lanzhou noodle soup). The broth is fragrant and the meat is tender, every time. The portions are enormous for only $13.49.
The best Chinese food near UB north campus. All five stars!!! GinGin is the first name of the hostess. She is really good at make the Soybean milk, the Sunflower tea and the Bubble tea. They also serve the Dim Sum every weekend. Every time I went there, I feel I was at my home, easy and warm.
Always welcoming. The Hot and Sour Soup is the best aroung..around... perfectly seasoned and chock full of stuff... pork, mushrooms, misc other veggies and curd.
As an Asian, I would recommend this restaurant for their food, pricing, and the service. I have tried this restaurant more than 10 times and some of the reviews may have said something bad about this place but every restaurant has mad one mistake or so. But that does not make them bad. Gin Gin is an authentic Chinese restaurant, it has superb food and you should try out their "secret menu" in store that is posted on their wall for a more authentic Chinese food!
Best place to go for Authentic Chinese food around here, the owner is super nice. They also have the best bubble tea here, unlike other bubble tea stores around where it’s just sugar water. Really good prices for good ingredients and large portions!
I thought the food was really good, the chicken in the dishes was not the tiny bits at most places give you, it was big hunks of chicken lightly breaded. Wonton soup was delicious as were the eggrolls, both were much better than typical take out in buffalo. The only thing is my wife got really sick after... could be from here or it could have been something else. That's why its not a 3/3 overall.
I have driven by Gin Gin at least 1000 times over the years. Today I was so happy that I finally stopped. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The dining room was clean, had nice picture windows and was very warm on a cold night. I ordered the Szeshuan Chicken, Wanton Soup and Egg Roll. All were cooked perfectly and delicious. I can't wait to go again and can't believe I waited this long!!
Have been ordering here from years, food is consistently delicious and good prices. Bubble Tea is great and dishes like the Mongolian Beef, black bean fish, and sweat and sour pork are go-tos. Many of the low star reviews are American eaters expecting the classic “sweet chicken sauce”. If you want Chinese authentic food, this is the place. The manager/owner is a great lady and is always welcoming.
Had lunch here, craving some dim sum. While they don't do much dim sum any more, we had a couple of things, both clearly made from scratch and they were amazing! Their Hong Kong dumplings were amazing!
Really good food. Atmosphere is a bit meh. I'd probably say 5 stars for cheaper eats takeout, maybe 4 for dining in. We stop for bubble tea quite regularly and it is very enjoyable for that on the go.
Order the Chicken Chop. It's not on the menu. Just order it. An order of Lo Mein is big enough for 4 people, literally. They also have brown rice if you ask, which I love, and the soups are great. All the food is fresh and everything is prepared to order. It seems family owned and I only ever see the same 2 or 3 people there. Very authentic cuisine, and good prices.
I adore this place. Lots of options, including some that I have only seen there such as the taro and chicken meal. Everything I have had there has been delicious. Staff is always pleasant and willing to explain something if we have questions. Bubble tea is really good as well. Totally worth the price
Such good Chinese food! I never order from anywhere else. The egg rolls are huge and stuffed. Amazing! So many tofu options and it's delicious!
Out of all the American style chineese restaurants in Buffalo, this is my favorite. With many places you will get a bunch if super greasy food flavored mostly with sugur but I've never had that problem here. Probably the least greasy I've had. I am a huge fan of their crab Rangoon. You can actually taste the crab and there are seasonings on the filling rather then just a lump of cream cheese. My go to is the general tsos chicken and while I personally could go for more spice the saude is flavorful without needing tk resort to pounds of sugar. My fiancé is a big fan of the lo Mein as well. Pair the great food with a super nice staff and you have found your new go to spot!
This place is very cute and quaint. It’s very clean and I like the layout. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. The food’s the best I’ve had. There were actually vegetables in the entree I ordered where other places would maybe put a couple small cubes of carrots. It’s across town but this is where I’m going from now on.
the noodle soup is most wonderful Chinese food I ever had. This restaurant is more than 20 years old and the owner here is super nice. Come here if you are hungry because all the dishes are extra big and definitely will make you full and happy :)
A small restaurant that packs a big punch with flavor. I've driven by this restaurant for probably 30 years. I remember when it used to be a donut shop. It's a whole lot better than that now. My wife and daughter begged me for Chinese food. With Covid, that meant take out. We always try to find new places, so this was what we chose. What a tgreat choice. I had seen a lot of pictures of exciting looking dishes and wanted to try them all. That wasn't going to happen in one visit so we had to pick only a few. I didn't know what to choose so I asked the owner to pick enough entree's for 4, add some soup and some sort of side dish. We got enough food to feed an army!. Sour soup, steamed dumplings, fried dumplings, hot wings, chicken and noodles, ribs, white rice and dried rice. I'm drooling just thinking about it. OMG, wow! So many flavors, all delicious. Everyone kept saying how each dish they tried was better than the last. Afterwards I thanked the owner and he told me everything was all homemade. Yikes, how cool is that? He was proud of their fresh ingredients and how they make everything by hand, daily. Who does that these day? Now the only question is what to order next! You must go here.
The most wonderful and delicious Buffalo Asian food experience. Unlike almost any other restaurant, I get the same thing every time I go. House special chicken chop with rice. I think the chrysanthemum tea is also fantastic.
This is our new favorite! The owner makes everything fresh to order. She was sweet, and it was great talking to her about the dishes she recommended. Best Lomein and twice cooked pork we've ever had!
Authentic Chinese food served with love and by such a beautiful soul. The owner is amazing. Saved my children's lives. Literally. She came out to give me a free tea. I went back to hold the door for her and give her fortune cookies (artificial dyes) because she did this my 10 children in my transit van following us were saved from a major accident. The food is amazing. The place is amazing. Been coming here for over 10 years. A Saint
Gin Gin might be my new favorite Chinese restaurant in Buffalo! Even as someone who grew up working in Chinese restaurants, Gin Gin has impressed me. First impression, it's an older restaurant, the interior is nothing fancy, but older, which might give the wrong impression but I'm not one to quickly judge until I get my food. So after we sat down, we were given the menu. All Chinese restaurants have a big menu with countless options to choose from, but Gin Gin has by far the largest menu I've ever seen, adding onto the dishes not on the actual menu but posted on the walls. The cool thing is that they serve not just your typical American Chinese food but also some authentic Chinese dishes. So it took me quite some time to decide what to order. I even had to ask the boss for recommendations. She recommended me the Curry Chicken (Chop). Which was unlike the Curry Chicken my family's restaurant used to make or any other restaurant I've been to. The use bone in chicken wing pieces instead of the typical chicken breast/thigh meat. While I do prefer it the typical way, I was down to try something new. The Egg Drop Soup was also great, and it came with a side of Crispy Noodles, which you can add into the soup. But I like dipping it in duck sauce like chips and salsa. The Egg Drop Soup was very flavorful and I believe they use chicken broth/stock instead of just water, which means higher quality! The Beef w Garlic Sauce is something I always love to get when I go to Chinese restaurants, and they made it beautifully. It was full of flavor and better than most Beef w Garlic Sauce I've had. The portions were also great! We left all full and satisfied. Will definitely be back to try other stuff next time!
Food was very good. Service was slow, but it was because there was only 1 person working front of house, and only 1 was person working back of house. Hope they can hire additional staff to help with service. Overall, my friends and I enjoyed our experience.
Gin Gin Sweet Home practices Chinese comfort cuisine with an uncommon sense of discipline and depth. The oxtail soup is structured rather than showy, built on a collagen-rich broth that develops flavor in layers instead of a single blunt strike. Fresh bok choy (小白菜, xiǎo báicài) brings clarity and vegetal lift, while a restrained, almost subterranean trace of cinnamon (桂皮, guìpí) appears on the finish—subtle, warming, and unmistakable to a refined palate. This is not a soup with a sudden “pow”; it is a soup with dimension, continuity, and intent. The chicken soup follows the same philosophy. Light, lucid, and restorative, it avoids the predictable sweetness of wonton (云吞, yúntūn) or egg-drop (蛋花汤, dànhuā tāng). Instead, it offers a clean aromatic profile that feels deliberately composed for colder days—warming without weight, flavorful without excess. The word delicious itself is often overused, so it matters to define it. From the Latin dēliciōsus, derived from dēliciae, it originally meant that which gives pleasure through refinement, not excess—something alluring, carefully balanced, and sensorially precise. In that classical sense, these soups are genuinely deliciosus. In Hebrew, shalom (שָׁלוֹם) signifies not merely peace, but wholeness and equilibrium; in Latin, salus denotes health, preservation, and renewal. These bowls embody both ideas—food that steadies the body and centers the palate. In Chinese culinary terms, this is not just 好吃 (hǎochī, “delicious”), but 鲜 (xiān), a fresh, savory clarity, with 层次 (céngcì), true layered depth. Gin Gin Sweet Home succeeds by trusting the intelligence of the diner. This is authentic cooking with restraint and meaning—quietly expressive, deeply satisfying, and worthy of attention from anyone serious about food.
This place has awesome food. Always prepared to order. Very friendly staff. One of the best Chinese food places in town.
The food was really nice and the workers were also very kind. Would definitely try again next time.
One of a kind, with the most amazing, freshly prepared dishes. While the exterior might be a bit... Rustic (also rusty), I assure you GinGins is the real deal. Personally, I love all their ox tail dishes, but they also make an eggplant and udon dish that is utterly irresistible. This place calls us back like a siren and is run by some lovely folks. This is a one of a kind dining experience you do not want to miss. So do not be put off by the modest facade, this is a diamond in the rough.
Amazing customer service, Gin Gin was honestly a great experience was driving and stopped at a stop light looked over and decided to stop by and it was a great choice. The food comes in big portions for what you pay even the egg rolls are huge! Like whoa 10/10 and great atmosphere very homey. Will definitely be dining here again! Also idk what the other people are saying about the general tso chicken I thought it was good.
Has been going there for over 2 years. Lots of dishes, tasty food and wonderful service. Price is affordable. If anyone interested to try out chinese dishes, I would highly recommend it. Also, if you do not like too much spices, when you order spicy food (which has chili logo beside the item name on menu), tell them you will take the "low" level spicy. Some of the items are too spicy to enjoy, lol. But overall the food taste, quality and quantity is really good. My favorite dish is of curry chicken and yaki udon
The best boneless spare ribs dinner I’ve ever had from any Chinese restaurant in the buffalo area. The rice was cooked just right and the boneless ribs was seasoned right and tender. Other restaurants usually drown it in overly sweet red sauce and the meat is usually always tough to chew. But this place cooked everything perfectly and you get hefty portions for a good price. The lady at the front desk was very polite and had get service. My new favorite Chinese restaurant now and I will definitely be back to order more!
Another hidden gem of Chinese restaurant in buffalo. Very low profile outside, but the inside is stunning. Traditional Chinese decor and delicious authentic Chinese dishes. My R61 beef tomatoes egg sauce on rice is too die for, the sweet and sour of tomato works nicely with the beef. Hong kong dumplings is just delicious and you can definitely taste the freshness of the beef. Everything is cooked to order and piping hot , the serving is huge. One entree rice dish can definitely fill you up. Service is excellent, overall experience can't be better.
Good Chinese restaurant, food is ready quickly and always consistent. Could have a larger selection, however still much to choose from. 20+ customer
Great food and very authentic. It does take long time to get your order. I recommend that you pre-order before you get there.
My very favorite Asian style stop!!! A must have is the Phoenix chicken....it's a wing, not a buffalo wings by any stretch. Quite possibly my favorite thing I have ever eaten.
The food here is the real deal, awesome food. The service can be very slow. The wait time for the food can be anywhere from 30 min. to 45 min. When ordering food over the phone, you may want to order 45 min to 1 hr. prior. Cleanliness is average.
I love wonton soup and whenever I need my fix, I go to gin gin! I have not had anything else from them, so can not comment otherwise. My soup has always been ready when I call in 15 minutes prior, but I assume they are just dishing it out of a big pot in the kitchen.
They have a really nice cook and they are fresh. Although I don't like the smell of the place. I tried the chicken friend rice and noodles. Both were fine. It is a nice place for quick bite and take out. I heard the bubble tea is nice
Ordered 3 meals, beef and broccoli, Sesame chicken and sweet and sour chicken. The only issues I had was the chicken was fried to hard, dry and burnt for the sweet and sour chicken and the shrimp egg rolls had peanut butter in them. The other food was delicious!!!!
The food was great! Its questionable from the outside but highly recommend their food. The Black Pepper Chicken is a Must try. Their spring rolls are mamoth size too, which is amazing! Need to improve how they take your order and have something more automated. After our meal we did not recieve a detailed bill of what we ordered...so we asked for it and she was typing it off in an old school machine.
I didn't get any food this time, but I have in the past, and it has always been good. I only got bubble tea this time, it was quick and less expensive than other places, not as many choices but still good, just be careful bc the lid is kind of like a sticker, so it leaks a little, but the cashier did inform me to be careful so I didn't make a mess lol
It's tasty with generous portion sizes. The location isn't the easiest to access and exit but it is what it is. Recommended for quality nums.
Went for dinner, good and fresh food, very generous portions
There are treasures within this unassuming building on the corner of Sweet Home and Sheridan. Most of the negative reviews here seem to be for the AmeriChinese classics -- order what you want -- and the glowing reviews all seem to be for the harder to find dishes. I am in the latter camp. The collagen they extract for their noodle soups make for an exquisite broth that absolutely sets up overnight in the fridge. Their lamb dishes are also wonderful, albeit perhaps impossible to order on their website. Go in with a group and try some specials. They are, indeed, special.
Cantonese food is delicious Lobster sauce. shrimp Pork fried rice, chock full of pork and veges
I oughta come here more. Very nice portion sizes for reasonable prices, though the food is standard Chinese fare (the scallion pancakes, though VERY hefty, were also kinda thick and starchy--again though, you get a lot of food for the same price). Will probably come back to see what else they have. The interior also looks very nice :D
authentic chinese food. service leaves a lot to be desired. better for take out than dine in. They do have dim sum which is nice since not that many places in Buffalo have dim sum.
It wasn't what I asked for. As far as the noodles or they was overcooked!! I ate there also, and was never checked on or got my water/napkins refilled. I asked for my to go tray and bag then left. There was NO TIP being given from this experience.
Very bland, pork/broccoli over cooked. They put low mein in a styrofoam container and it soaked up all the sauce. Won't go back and waste of money.
Three stars because of the customer service. Gin Gin, the owner was fantastic. This was my first visit and..... I'm not that taken with the food yet so...... I'll give it another shot we'll see what happens.
Order egg roll with meal and did not get it. Also, thought that the main dishes came with rice. Kung Po Shrimp had small shrimp and was not very Kung Poey. I guess I will stick with Chinese Cookery!
Pretty good food but too much money. And unclean tables. I ordered take out I sat down and waited (5 min early) and all over the table was cheese or grease. But they got the food done on time and it's pretty good. But almost an 8$ difference from where I normally order. And I only got some fried rice and dumplings. Try it you might like it. This be my last time going.
Best egg roll in the area. The filling has a good amount of meat and crunchy cabbage, definitely will be getting egg rolls here from now on. The stomach tripe noodle soup was ehhhh. I didn't like the soup base, so will be avoiding their noodle soups.
Good food but sauces were all very thick like americanized Chinese dishes often are. Even the mapo tofu was more like a gravy then the oily sauce its supposed to have (as far as I understand)
Disappointing food and service. Local favorite has an intriguing menu of authentic Chinese items, but the hostess seemed to be on strike, with no water, no table set-ups, and a menu recommendation of Cantonese items that were just beyond the range of their northern Chinese cook. Our order of Chinese broccoli ended up chewy and stringy - even after we asked if they had tender shoots. An order of potstickers showed up in a strange dark sauce. Only the wontons were tasty although they were not actually wontons, but northern water dumplings. The entire meal would have been more satisfying except it took almost 30 minutes to get our lunch.
Stereotypical Chinese take-out restaurant, even the menu design is the the same as every other Chinese take-out restaurant, and so is the standard of food. It's not as cheap as you would expect though. It gets surprisingly busy and the woman running it was trying to take my order while taking down a delivery order on the telephone. I found that incredibly rude as I had to keep repeating myself because she was not really listening and sometimes talk on the phone while I was speaking, but as I tried to wait for her to finish the call, she would motion for me to order. A man came in after me who must have been a regular because she immediately hung up the phone, burst into a smile, how's the wife how's the baby would you like the usual order I throw in a free egg roll and bubble tea for you!! He obviously got his order before me as well. Gin Gin's is just another Chinese take-out and Chinese take-out is Chinese take-out in terms of food. Service (at least for non-regulars) leaves something to be desired.
I ordered a total of 3 combo plates. Chicken Lo Mein, Shrimp Lo Mein, and Mixed Veg with Chicken all three with pork fried rice. Two with an egg roll and one with Hot and Sour soup. The pork fried rice had pieces of burnt rice and veggies throughout. The vegetables were either canned (baby corn, mushrooms, water chestnuts) or soft (green pepper, celery, snow peas) instead of crisp in the Mixed Veg. The only things that we really enjoyed was the hot and sour soup and the fortune cookies which are half vanilla and half chocolate.
I would give 2.5 stars if I could but 3 felt a bit too generous. The food wasn't that great. The crab rangoon didn't have any crab taste to it, the sweet & sour pork breading was rock-hard, the lo mein was probably the worst I've had, and the fried rice was just OK. My wife really like the egg rolls though and she thought the pepper steak was decent. She did not like the bubble tea. While the price wasn't bad in terms of quantity, the quality was lacking unfortunately. The staff is very friendly, but I won't be ordering there again.
Hong Kong dumplings were the best and super tasty. General tso was gross. Tasted like ketchup and wasn't spicy wonton soup was good. Fried rice was average.
This used to be my favorite place but lately they have gone down hill. I ordered today a large general tso chicken, was told they dont come with rice anymore and the sauce tasted like they mixed ketchup and barbecue together. Crab rangoon was hard and had no flavor other than onion, and the egg rolls were dripping with oil when I bit into it. Hopefully they become again what they used to be but this is how they have been for a while now
Have been eating here since they were in there original location … probably 25 yrs however in the past 5 yrs or so food and service has gone down. Tonight’s takeout order IS THE VERY LADT TIME I WILL EVER HAVE FOOD FROM GIN HIN AGAIN the wonton soup was just salty water , the veggie fried rice was dry, hard and zero flavor, and the we ordered spring rolls which were actually shrimp rolls. I have a severe fish/seafood allergy and bit into a mouthful of shrimp. Such a shame because for years they were my families favorite and we ordered from there at least once a month.
Sweet and sour pork is not good. It taste soggy on the inside. And fried rice does not taste good either.
This was the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life!!!! It was disgustingly greasy, the chicken wings were horrible, the crab rangoons were soggy, and the pu pu platter was the weirdest thing and the grossest things I have ever had, plus is almost 20$!!! Save your money and go somewhere else
Tried it for the first time the other day. The only decent thing was the sesame chicken. Every other thing we ordered had the same bland/stock flavoring. Will not eat here again!
I ordered a Szhechuan Chicken with noodles. I have had chinese food from a lot of different places, and I don't write reviews usually, unless they are really good, or in this case extremely bad. The whole dish was extremely sour and tasted so weird. Most of it was like a red sour soup. Sorry, but I'm not going back here again.
Terrible food. And service .I paid for a meal I could not eat .I brought it to their attention and The first sweet and sour chicken I could. Not put my fork into also very very greasy. THE second plate was rebooked .You could put your fork into it but it was still greasy anyway the food is terrible even the fried rice was greasy I only had two bites of my food.Save your money and stomach and avoid this plase. With all the wonderful places Buffalo has to eat out at.Out of 14 of us only two people said the food was ok.
I made a phone call at 10am or 11am (can’t remember clearly it happened 3 years ago) saying I’ll be arriving around 12pm for lunch and ordered two or three dishes. By the time we arrive they are busy and we waited until 1 :30 pm to get our first dishes served. 1:30pm. We waited for almost 2 hours. And I had classes to attend around 2pm. There are not many customers there, only one big table of 6 or 7 Americans who arrived AFTER us. They got all the dishes served in time and all before we got our first one. 🙃🙃🙃 I never go back there since that happened. As a Chinese I used to dine in there several times a month, maybe I’m not a valuable customer to the restaurant owner 🙂and never expected that I would receive such different treatment from Chinese.
Gin gins was not good. Egg rolls werent crispy.. tasted like they were from yesterday. Stale. And sesame chicken was a let down because it wasnt even crispy either. It was soggy. And the lo mein had green peppers in it which i thought was wierd. Such a let down.
I am from NYC are here on business once a month. I drove ther ordered barbque spare ribs and pork fried rice with extra pork, no worries. I got back to my hotel and attempted to first eat the ribs, they were gamey and tasted like old freezer burned meat and estremly tough, ok i threw then out. I then started to tead the pork fried rice and it was not good at al then then pulled out a huge long black hair, I am bald myself. I called the they told me brign it back so i can see, I understand that but i was so disgusted and more I ouwl not go to this place again. I am in customer service for a living and I told the major hotel chain to warn any guest fform dinning there. I never complain but this one hit the @#$%%
Dishonest business. Owner up charge me from what is listed on the menu and the meal was too oily. Felt like I was eating a spoonful of oil.
After reading the mixed reviews on Google, I decided to try it. We ordered Kung Po chicken, hot and sour soup, fried dumplings, and two flavored boba tea. The Kung Po chicken was wet and soaked in the average "brown sauce." Barely any flavor, all you can taste is "brown sauce." The hot and sour soup tasted like "brown sauce" with a cup of vinegar—barely anything in the soup. Fried dumplings were ok, but the soy sauce spilled out all over the other containers when we picked them up. Boba tea was below average, basically store-bought syrup with iced water; I can't taste any tea in them.
Was incredibly disappointed. Always enjoyed food prior to covid, but this was my first visit back and nothing was as I remembered. Not sure if there's been a change in ownership/ management, but the food was sub par at best. The broccoli had an unusual taste and the egg rolls and Rangoon were cold and barely filled. I have always raved about the food here so this was a real let down. My friend also ordered take out with me and was equally disappointed. And manager was incredibly rude when called.
Well typically i under 4 orders of fried dumpling everytime quiet often this time i order they give them to me steamed i live in nt so its about a 25 minute drive one way to get here but its worth it i call them to tell them about the mistake hoping they would just say ok well ill give you a free one next time for the mistake no instead she played stupid and kept insisting i said steamed when she repeated fried back to me 3 times when i phone ordered what would it have costed you to make a customer happy a couple bucks very dissapointed wont be back for a very long time an suggest everyone to check there orders begore leaving seeing as i spend 60 bucks for dumplings and egg rolls everytime for years multiple times a month i shouldve been offered something instead she acts stupid and trys to blame me you know me and my order i hope you see this and feel ashamed shame on your for not taking care of a very good customer of yours ive brought you many many new customers man im so dissapointed
My friend and I were more than disappointed. She and I have always enjoyed the food here very much until this time. We both ordered take out to bring home to our families for dinner. All of the food did not taste fresh and it was cold. It seemed like it was taken out of the fridge and warmed up. After hearing from my friend the next morning that her family wound up throwing their food away because it was not good, I decided to call the restaurant to complain. We will not be going back unfortunately. The egg rolls used to be piping hot and the best in Buffalo. They must’ve hired bad cooks.
This place used to be so good but now Everytime we go, hoping for the good experiences we remember, we are disappointed. Tonight our General Tso chicken tasted like chicken fried in rancid oil covered with ketchup and the Ma-Po tofu had absolutely zero seasoning. How can you have bland Ma-Po Tofu. Serving size has also decreased. That is definitely not a quart.
First time ordering because was told food was better than China King (our regular)....,well ordered sweet and sour chicken and chicken was way overdone....too crunchy and dried out....hubby's entree was ok
The rice tasted like it had been cooked in pot that had something else in it, the chicken on a stick was just cut dry chicken breast, the beef in the pepper steak was not fresh possibly frost bitten. I usually don't write bad reviews, but this was completely unacceptable.
Ordered take out. It was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. We ordered egg rolls - not good, pork fried rice - not edible, shrimp with lobster sauce - something spicy in it, and crab Rangoon, not edible. Do not get food from this place, it is horrible.
Worst fried rice I have ever ordered , will not be going back ever!!?
The chicken was not good at all. My drink was fabulous... green tea....
This place is ONLY good for takeout do NOT order service sucks and the food was so bad
The sweet and sour chicken was hard and dry. It didn’t taste like chicken. It stuck to my teeth. We dined in. I told the owner that the food was not good. My sister ordered the same thing and had the same issue. It was not edible food. I gave it back and so did she and she gave us half off of one order and charged us for the other. After she proceeded to ask us “where her tip was?”My brother just paid the bill we didn’t even leave the table yet. Rude is an understatement. Why would we tip when you gave us garbage food (being the owner.)I’m no scum bag I would never treat my customers this way nor would I not tip unless I was in this situation. Do better!
Ordered take out for the first time. Was quoted ready in 30. Got there in 40. The restaurant needs a serious scrubbing…. Specified online that I’d pay in store with card and was told a price. Employee was confused when I get there. They game my food to someone else. Says it will be ready in 10. Go to pay while I wait and price is HIGHER than what quoted online and told it’s because I’m paying with card…. It says no where online the price will be higher. I went back and checked in my confirmation. Get food home and it’s maybe a 5 minute drive…. Rice was dry and under cooked…. General tsos was dry and breading mush…. Wontons in soup were dried out over cooked and tasted old…. Kung po chicken was slopped quickly in sauce and chicken dry and old…. NEVER again.
We just ordered take out. The food was not even edible. Sweet and sour chicken was hard as a rock. General tso chicken was mushy. Lo mein had an awful taste to it. I called and asked if I brought all the food back if I could please have a refund that we would not be eating the food. I was called a liar and was told the food was good and they do not issue refunds. Threw out over $50 worth of food.
