The Poppinjay Pub Busto Arsizio Reviews
A very nice evening spent with a friend, the food was excellent as was the beer.
Very nice pub, you can feel the Anglo-Saxon atmosphere, excellent selection of beers and food, personally I really like the pizzas. For those who are interested, they show football matches. Recommended 👌
You enter the pub... WOW, what a great atmosphere. You sit at the table, look at the menu, and when you read that they use carbon-nitrogen and not CO2, you know you're in the right place. Few choices, but good, and above all, poured in a way that won't bloat you. Typical pub menu, but with that extra something in terms of variety. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and the service is fast and punctual. It's still a historic establishment run by people who know what they're doing (see the carbon-nitrogen discussion). Prices are average, definitely worth returning with friends!
Informal place, reasonable prices, and excellent quality. The manager is very friendly.
Fantastic pub. Good service and fantastic drinks. Can't wait to go back.
Since 1957, Poppnjay has been synonymous with beer and football. A truly Irish atmosphere where you can enjoy excellent sandwiches accompanied by a good variety of beers. Sometimes there's live music and almost always major football matches broadcast via satellite. Prices are average. Rating 7.5
A very pleasant and welcoming old-fashioned beer hall. Full of wonderful displays for true football fans. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The menu offers a great variety of beers and sandwiches, and the prices are very reasonable. They have a private room for organized parties and a truly well-designed outdoor space. Highly recommended!
I stopped by to attend a dear friend's concert. The place isn't downtown; there's only street parking. Inside, it's a classic pub, but... everything's very clean, and the girls are very kind and helpful. My sandwich wasn't huge, but it was filling and piping hot, and it was also priced to rival a typical fast food joint. Overall, this place is definitely worth a visit. Avoid the stools; they're nice but uncomfortable! 🙂
Bar molto bello e il gestore è noto bravo, competente e gentile. Ha molte qualifiche.
A historic pub in Busto Arsizio, known for its good beer. My classic sandwich here, called the "Dublin," with Fontina cheese and salsa rosa, and the legendary Luraschi ciabatta, is as good as ever. Perhaps the "red" was a bit lacking in the "speck." The service has improved over the years, but it's essential, but it's tied to the arrival of regulars, who are reserved the best tables. The atmosphere is somewhat ruined by football matches, but what can I expect from a place known for precisely that, where scarves, pennants, and so much more, some of which I'm sorry, are displayed? A place I love returning to, even if not during the most important matches, the cup competitions.
A charming, historic venue with a summer terrace that's perfect for warm evenings. A decent selection of beers and cocktails. The food menu is extensive, with excellent options. The quality of the ingredients isn't bad at all; the service isn't the fastest, but it's very friendly and relaxed. Overall, a very laid-back venue that doesn't disappoint and creates the perfect atmosphere for a friendly evening. Very reasonable prices. A good option for spending a few hours with friends.
Typical pub atmosphere, very welcoming. Friendly and professional staff. We tried the aperitif and the beers...excellent. I recommend it for a casual evening with friends.
I like the atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. I gave it 3 stars because they didn't have many of the drinks listed on the menu, so I had to settle for a drink I didn't like at all.
Located near the Famila in Busto Arsizio, this pub is decorated in an Irish style. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, with several small TVs where you can watch Inter Milan games. The menu offers a variety of foods, including frozen fried foods, bruschetta, sandwiches, pizzas, first and second courses, side dishes, and even beers. I really enjoyed the beers, the quality/price ratio is good, and the staff is disorganized, with the owner appearing a bit grumpy while the employees are very friendly. They don't keep separate bills for payments, so everyone has to calculate their own bills using the receipt and give the total to the owner.
great
Unfortunately I was disappointed, criticism is always constructive, if you enter a pub like this, you expect to find a warm and welcoming place, it can't be 13 degrees in a pub, it was necessary to stay seated with a jacket and hat on due to the cold. Furthermore, if you are home to an inter club and you base everything on showing the matches on TV, you cannot have just one screen plus a tiny one placed in a corner, it becomes impossible to see the match from the various points of the venue, you need at least 3 screens to ensure everyone can see the matches in a decent way.
