Lucky China Carson Reviews
Hands down my most favorite chinese food of all time. ALL. TIME. I always get their beef with brocolli, veggie chow mein and veggie fried rice. Omg the best ever!!
Love this place, been coming here for many years and still make it a point to come and take the family, Curry Chicken, Mongolian Beef
This place is great, food is delicious... probably because they got Hispanics cooking it up in the back orale.
It's been our favorite place for 29 years and counting. Food is delicious and service is great.
It was one of the best Chinese food place I have been in a long while.
10/13/23 The food was excellent 👌 compared to before.... They must have new cooks because the food tastes better 😁😁😁😁😁
Love this place!!! Been coming here for years. Foods always freash and I love the tea they give for free.
Delicious foods to enjoy. Affordable price. Sufficient parking space. My family love the restaurant.
This place has the best food in town we love this place. This place is open for business as of Jun 4 they are OPEN..Call and place your order ahead of time for faster service.
My first visit all the food is really good. The staff was really nice and the service really prompt I will be coming back soon
Awesome Chinese food! Don't take people here that need to be impressed by atmosphere but if you like good food this is your spot! I have probably eaten here 15+ times and I'm going to keep going. Its my "go-to" lunch spot in Carson.
I love lucky China, been going here for years and will continue until one of us doesn't exist anymore! I would recommend the three flavor Kung pao, sweet and sour chicken, and the salt and pepper pork chops. I also love their Mongolian beef! Everything is great at this place especially for the price!
This place has great food, probably because the cooks are Mexicans... Arriba la raza! Their chow mein isn't those super skinny lame noodles some places serve... What I don't like is their idol's, pagan statutes, ppl Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven, He is the only one that died for your sins and rose from the dead, not budda nor muhammad.
This place is amazing. Great staff and even better food. They give you more for your buck if you eat there. No time waiting is a PLUS!!
Best Chinese food in town. My husband and i always come here. It might look weird from outside but i promise you the food is bomb!!!
I love the food and the service..I like to come back again🙂
Great food and service. Lunch menus are bomb. Make sure you get there within 30 min of them opening because it gets packed.
Love this place been going since 2004, always fresh and very family oriented. Owners are very nice young and ready to help you order go quick.
Very nice, respectful staff. First time going and I had a good time. Make sure to try the Walnut chicken & Orange chicken.
The food and service here is great. The salt pepper pork chops are yummy and the fish with black bean sauce yes oh so good.
food is delicious.havent bernat here.over four years place.is remodeled looks nicer but the food is always great lots of .flavor. still the best chinnese food place in all southern califòrnia.Hands down for Lucky China.Thanks..
Very good food and the service is now more better. The new owners have learned how to serve the and satisfying customers
It is the best service best food in the city and prices are very reasonable. Do I have a favorite dish? Yes the entire menu
Customer service is great. I attended a family gathering there and they had accommodated our sitting arrangements for over 20 people. We had a blast!
Really good restaurant. I'm thankful my friends took me there. Know we go once a month.
The food is very good, I've been coming here for 32 years and the food is always good, since I moved I travel 78 mile to buy Chinese food, I don't want to go to any other Chinese restaurant, my children live in Anaheim Ca they still travel to eat here, I live farther lol. Thank you Lucky China you always have me and my children as customers.
This Chinese spot is a fixture in Carson. Solid food huge portions since I was a child. The kung Pao chicken smacks! The restaurant could use a remodel but the food continues to uphold standards.
The food here is delicious, and the portions are big. Love the flavor of Mongolian beef and sweet-and-sour chicken is one of my favorites.
Came around here in 2021 so like 3 years ago and came back for some Chinese food with the family. I have to say amazing food amazing everything ever thing is great here I’m not being exaggerated. I’ll Come again when I have the chance again .
Been coming here since I was about 7 or 8yrs old and I'm 32 now. Absolutely love this place. Food is good. We always order shrimp fried rice, bbq beef and fried shrimp in spicy sauce.
I had not been here in like 10 years ago…excited that even though it’s been so long this place still has their delicious signature dishes and authentic Chinese food cuisine flavors…lunch specials are delicious and great serving…staff is super nice and the foods just delicious no matter what you pick…come try them out in Carson I went for Kung Pao three flavors with a pot of hot tea…Yummmm 🤤took be to the years I worked in The medical field with all my staff having to choose what they want me to order for any staff luncheon and most of the time all votes were for Lucky China …❤️🌻Everyone enjoyed their choice of entrees and would always comment on how tasty and delicious the food was…so today I enjoyed reminiscing of my old good times with the staff…and happy to know this place still has it all down packed!
Not only is the food really good, $51 fed 3 adults and 4 children! The Staff was really nice and playful with my kids. They even gave them extra fortune cookies.
The food is so good the place is very clean and I love the verities of food they have I really recommend it
This is one of the last hidden gems around. Authentic made to order Chinese food and there should be a line of people there ordering. I've been going here for well over 20 years and there's obviously a reason why.
I been going to this place since I was a child, probably 20 plus years. Everything is fresh and delicious. Family special is best deal. Price is right. We usually feed 6 to 8 people with $40 and still have left overs. I recommend this spot to all my friends and they all become regulars.
This place has been around forever and has never changed, which is a GOOD thing. Excellent sized portions, can't go wrong with the family dinner special which will easily satisfy a family of 4. The menu selection is large and the staff has always been friendly. If you want really good Chinese food, not fast food junk, try this place and you won't be disappointed. Ohh and another thing is that there is now more seating than before which gives the customers more room, which equals a comfier dining experience.
I love this place ! Best Chinese food ! You must try the Mongolian Beef✨✨ My family and I have been eating here since I was a little girl. My dad worked down the street, and his coworker invited him to have lunch at Lucky China. He said the food was so delicious he even saved half his plate to take home , just for my mom to have a taste lol . Ever since then we have been eating at Lucky China .
I have not been back here in 2 years. Their food quality and quantity never change even on to go orders. Great as always. Hopefully they could open for sit down soon. I miss having tea and dessert with the lunch special s.
The best Chinese food I've ever eaten. We came down from Washington State on a vacation. I ate here 10 years ago and I couldn't wait to come back. Not the best looking place inside, but the food is absolutely best.
Mongolian beef and chicken chow mein. All the Mongolian beef I've ever tried have been delicious this place a little unique, a little on the sweet side but still its good. Maybe next time ill tell the cook if he could not sweet the beef but its good. Chow mein was great! Haven't tried chicken chow mein that delicious in a long while. The place is laid out like a typical Asian restaurant, floors are clean, tables are cleaned as well very quiet just how i like it lol.
We ordered over the phone and the food was ready within 15 minutes. We got Mongolian beef, three item Kung pao (with chicken beef and shrimp), shrimp fried rice and chow mein. Our total was a out 60 bucks but these portions are huge! Definitely family style dining here. The rice was so good and the chow mein was fresh. The Mongolian beef had a nice sweetness to it and the beef wasn't too chewy. The Kung pao was a little spicy not too bad.
Every time we come to LA our first stop is always in Luck China Restaurant!! Food is great and reasonable price!!!love love this place must try!!!
The food here is very good ! Lunch Special Menu is awesome and my favorite is the Kung Pao 3 Flavors and the Fried Chicken with Spicy Sauce. Come by and try it yourself!!
First time today & I loved it. Huge portions for a reasonable price. I will most definitely be going back

Have been going here for about 15 years. Staff told us the reason they have been closed a lot lately is because of a sick family member. Good food definitely worth the wait
I have been eating here for years, to more clear over 15 years. The food is always delicious, the service is excellent. I took my daughter and my niece to have lunch here because this place is apart of our family, my mother started taking myself and my sisters, so now I'm passing this place on to them, I wish could have dine- in when we went ,but due to covid it was take out only. Still the food didn't disappoint. Thanks Lucky for being a place that me and my family could bond and make memories that last a lifetime😋
I love love love this restaurant. They make the best Kung pao 3 flavors in my opinion. Their fried pork chops is on point. Been going here since 2012
I have been coming here for as long as I can remember and I am now 30 years old. My earliest memory here had to be at least 12 13 years old eating here and wow do I have some memories here. This was my mother's RIP favorite Chinese restaurant to eat at and absolutely everything is great ! Me and her use to come here with friends and even eat the great deal of a lunch special they have when we would order out here. Till this day the food is hands down the best Chinese in Carson. I have yet to eat anything here I haven't like and I am super picky. It's quality made food made fresh. You will not be disappointed eating anything here and you will leave satisfied!
I'm a long time customer and when I think chinese food or if I want some comforting wonton soup. I think of Lucky China 🥰.

The food was good, the staff was attentive. The place is a little old and air fluctuated a lot, from stuffy to cold.
Food is really delicious. But they need more friendly staff
Good place to eat excellent food! Service not so much! People not friendly. No smiles from any of the staff
In my opinion this where I get the best mofu tofu.. Like 👍👍😍😍 so much.. Not to spicy just right for me.. Yum on!! He he I only gave it four stars cause I can't order often..
I drive all around LA area by far one of the best Chinese food places ever...portions are great for the price, all the food tastes great...been eating here for years n it hasn't changed....highly recommend this place!
Love this place, moved out if state but when I come back to town I always go there for good Chinese food. Due to covid they are still takeout only. Hopefully soon you will be able to have indoor dining again. They have reopened the dining area. :)
Had the orange chicken lunch special. Generous portion and steaming hot and crispy coating. Busy place with continuous stream of customers. Only complaint is the hostess was rather curt and unfriendly. To be fair maybe it was just a busy time.
Been going to this place since I was a kid. Food still smacks just how it did back then. A little remodeling due to covid, but the quality still shines and despite being a Chinese restaurant, the Thai tea is amazing.
Our first time eating here and we ordered over the phone. The restaurant was busy and noticeably were several customers with their family and all with smiles. 2ndly we got home and the servings were good and the food was delicious. We ordered Magnolian beef, chicken chow main, won ton soup and egg rolls. More than enough for 3" We will definitely be back fore more moving forward.
I love the food here! They have generous, fresh food, and nice staff. It's family styled portions meant to share. Easily recommend this spot- even for carry out!
We've been going to Lucky China for years and have always enjoyed the food here. It's a small quaint restaurant that caters to small or large parties. It's good Chinese food that they serve up fairly quick! Choose up to 3-4 dishes that can easily feed a family of 7-8 with leftovers to take home for later.
I simply love this place. It's a family Chinese food restaurant, nothing fancy but food taste so good. Prices are fair. They have a nice menu. Easy to get there and service is good. They have a small parking area. Also they have to go service. It's clean and tidy.
Pretty good and big portions! We ordered the Crispy Seasoned Pork Chops, BBQ beef, Special Fried Rice, and the Chopsuey. The Pork Chops were crispy on the outside, but tender inside, which was nice. The chopsuey was not like what I was thinking in my head when I ordered it, but was still good. The fried rice and the BBQ beef though were not as flavorful as we would have liked, but overall it was still a great meal and we had a decent amount of leftovers to bring home! The servers were also really nice, so that gives them added points in my book! :)

Salt and Pepper pork chop is good here. Fried chicken is good as well. They are very quick preparing your food.
I'm a regular takeout customer. I love the shrimp fried rice!

Very good Chinese food I really like this place More of a locals dine-in. Small
Plenty of food for good price but most dishes are lacking in flavor.. chicken dishes all taste the same.. very few vegetables.. feeds the need but not my first choice..
Typical American style Chinese food. Lunch combos are ok and portions are big. The Almond chicken was good.
The food is okay.....I didn't even take a picture. A lot of people come here. I think panda Express is better. My personal opinion.....
Been coming here since i was a kid. They kinda changed up the place. food servingsize changed smaller portions and more expensive. The flavor changed completely no longer made with love. This is the food we always get. Sweet and sour soup that has way less flavor, sweet and spicy shrimp as well as sweet chicken with spicy sause BBQ beef well done come with free white rice . Very good. I never been filled up like this place had filled me up. Unfortunately I been leaving not 100 percent satisfied now :(
Free parking. Bathrooms. Mobility impaired accessible. Friendly staff. Decent price. My luck probably that my chicken taste like fish (and had a shrimp in my orange chicken) but it was a one off experience , that was kindly and quickly replaced, over my many trips to this quaint spot.
I never thought I would rate this place three stars. Before the pandemic this place was the go to chinese place. I went on sunday and Oh My God. There is only about 8 avalible to eat. The other half of the restaraunt is basically thier storage. They have boxes piled up from end to end. We ordered family dinner special food was good only thing is the fried wontons were old like if they had been sitting there for hours. But what I disliked the most was we were expecting to get the food brought out in the normal serving plated but they brought the food out in card board regular chinese food containers. which is smaller portions than before. That meal only feeds 2 about three people now not four also they don't offer you hot tea anymore and to top it it's super expensive. Might not go back again. Who knows. Picture was from before pandemic. nothing compared to that.
Lots of food for the price. Not the cleanest place I’ve been to. I was almost afraid to look too close. I would not take my family to this place. Lots of parking.

Old spot, but food still good. 3 of us we had the shrimp fried rice, Korean BBQ, salt and pepper pork chops.

Good food. The staff doesn't speak English very well but enough to get the job done (kind of) on my last visit all of my food was not ready so I had to wait.
The chow mein and Kung Pao where okay but the orange chicken was old, tough to eat, and the taste was not great. Overall the customer service was mediocre and was not impressed with the taste of food for its pricing. Would not recommend.
Dnt order through doordash food was disgusting.. Better to order food there and have em pack it up to take it taste n looks better than when u order to go. ((Dnt get me wrong their food is good ONLY when u dine in))
Since new management, attitudes are nasty. The cooks prepare over cooked food and will have not correct it. Can't do business with a place like this any longer.
Descent food nothing to go home and tell them fam. I was disappointed really was hoping it would be good. The noodles is cheap quality like you find at a buffet or a fast-food Chinese spot. Had been seeing it for weeks and Chinese is my favorite cuisine. Rice as well was the same as noodles. Won't go back looking for a good spot in Carson still
. Since neighborhood businesses have taken a hit with COVID we have been trying to support our local businesses . We have dined her many times but it seems that every time we go here especially over the past year the waitstaff and cashiers are grumpy and rude. Food quality has really gone down . Not sure we will be coming back again.
I've been coming there for over 15 yrs and service was always great! Over the past year their service has severely diminished, they will have open tables and claim that they don't have open tables and it will be only to go, even tho they have a posted sign that last call is at 1945 but we arrived at 1800. Seriously thinking of just not coming here anymore even tho we've been coming for so long.

I use to talke all my family to this restaurant, till yesterday we was about to eat and for aur surprise, the server tuck out hes shoe and then is suck and put them on top of the table where they cut the vegetables at the entrance, it was disgusting, I'll neber come back!!! We trow all the food to the trash
Bad customer service and the food was awfully. As a matter of fact, I through it away. The place looks filthy. Food taste like the place looks.
The food was so old tasting But we forced our selves to eat it because it cost so much never again. 🥴
All the food taste the same! Spend almost $50.00 and the food was bland, it seems like they cook all the chicken with the same seasoning, I order kung pao chicken, broccoli chicken, almond chicken and shrimp chow mein, and like I said everything tasted the same! BLAND, Won't be back, had to trow the food away.
I order sup and chicken chow mein was terrible I never going back . Super price
I got food poisoning after eating here. My stomach keeps hurting after eating there. My sister also got food poisoning and so did my brother-in-law. The food there wasn’t so well cooked. I’m never eating there again after what has happened.
Very disappointing, I went here as a kid and it used to be soo good . Ordered chow main , orange chicken , beef and broccoli and rice . It was all so plain no flavor so sauce very dry . I didn’t want to return all of it so went back with half and ask for refund and the host gave me attitude about it . Won’t be going back here ever again and spending money on this customer service and terrible food.
They could substitude anything not even if i paid more wich i didnt mind after the food got there meat looked like chicken tasted very mushy what they called fried rice obiously wasnt fried rice so disapointed with everything didnt even finish most of the food and when i asked for a to go box they just dumped everything in one small to gobox mixing all the food together i coyldnt belive that worse place ever !!!
We have been eatting at this restaurant for over thirty years since i was i could remember. Today we were serve the worse food my family and i have ever eaten anywhere. We complained and all they said is that she would let the chef know.
Sweet and sour chicken was under sauced making it dry on top of about 85% of the chicken being stringy and dry and just inedible. Egg rolls were saturated in oil. The egg flower soup was decent until I found a large metal shaving (pic) in it. Only really good item was the steamed dumplings.
Lucky China? More like unlucky gentrified bland "food" You know, my family isn't even Chinese, but we still have the developed taste buds to know that this food is not good. Puts Panda Express on a pedestal. 1. The Mongolian beef was 80% onions and 20% beef. 2. The orange chicken crumbled, just like my expectations of having a good meal. This orange chicken claims to be spicy, but it's like a tinder catfish. Bland. 3. The three seafood soup? Yeah. Three pieces of shrimp and oddly smelling bamboo shoots. 4. How unfortunate it is that we didn't get fortune cookies. 5. Greasy noodles, jeez as if I wanted this much oil, I have enough on my face. 6. No napkins. Dear lucky China, you're lucky we were starving.
If I could give a rock instead of a star, I would. I live in Carson and have been searching for a great Chinese restaurant in the area. My mom and I drove to this place based on the reviews. Boy was I so disappointed! I ordered the shrimp chow menu and my mom ordered the orange chicken which we ordered to go. It was the worst food ever. The chicken was not fresh and it had fish scales in it. Chow mein was horrible which left a bad taste in my mouth. I have had bad food before but I have never given a review until today! I will never go there again.
Some of the most unseasoned food I’ve ever had in my life— the rice tasted and looked reheated. Horrible food, will not be buying again.
Used to be regulars here and the food is good but this is an example of a business that does not really want your business. Closed on Wed and Saturday, Sunday is take out only, and random days are take out as well, due to their inconsistent hours I can't justify the drive to take a chance on them actually deciding to serve food on any given day. There are just too many good restaurants where the owners care about business to patronize Lucky China anymore.
My wife and I use to go here all the time and it was excellent. For this reason, I recommended we go there and dine. I went the other evening with my son and his girlfriend and it was terrible. We were the only ones in the establishment, that should have told us something. The food was served in takeout trays which means it didn't stay hot. Part of the meal was cold when we received it and the taste just wasn't there. We will not be going back. It was such a shame this because we always thought and recommended this pace to our friends.
Don't come here. It was our first time coming here and we were asking some questions about a dish in the menu. Our server wasn't very accommodating with our order and tried to make us pay for a separate dish when it could've easily been added to a dish. We decided to leave instead because aguevo she wanted us to pay for a separate order.
