Un lugar mágico de lo más dulce y apetecible. El adentrarse aquí es hacerlo a un paraíso dulce de lo más maravilloso. Un sitio donde disfrutar de manjares increíbles elaborados por profesionales de 10. Y además una atención increíble, quiero hacer una mención especial a la gran Alba, una profesional que no pierde la sonrisa en ningún momento, dispuesta a ayudarte en lo que necesites, amable, atenta, alegre,… maravillosa. Con gente que te atienda así da gusto volver una y mil veces. Recomendado 100%, seguro que no os defrauda es TOP

Lugar muy bonito y acogedor. Ambientado todo ya de Navidad. Parece que entres a un cuento de lo bonito y decorado que está. Hemos entrado al reconocer el nombre de la pastelería . Íbamos buscando un sitio para merendar. Nos a atendido un chico majísimo,le hemos preguntado por el top 10 entre varias pastitas y nos a aconsejado una que era entre un croissant y una palmerita,deliciosa y adictiva.Increíble. Todo buenísimo y la atención genial. Nos hemos llevado unos turrones para probar a ver qué tal… Que pena no saber el nombre del chico porque se merece un 10/10.

Sin duda, la mejor pastelería de Barcelona. Sus productos son absolutamente fenomenales: se nota la calidad, el cuidado y el amor en cada detalle. Todo está delicioso y siempre apetece llevarse algo más. Tenéis que probar el Kouign-Amann y el Cremadet.. wow. Además, el personal es increíble, cercano y profesional. Quiero destacar especialmente al hombre que atiende por las mañanas: muy amable y me aconsejó de maravilla. Se nota que le apasiona su trabajo y que se preocupa de verdad por los clientes. Un amor de persona. Un lugar totalmente recomendable al que siempre dan ganas de volver!

I visited this coffee shop for the first time and really loved the experience. The seating area is cozy and comfortable, perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee. Their coffee is great, but the chocolate croissant is definitely a must-try — it was absolutely delicious! The portion size is a little small considering the price, but the taste makes up for it completely. Overall, a lovely place with great flavors. I’d definitely visit again!✨

Amazing cakes. This is a VERY high-end cake shop. Cakes made to order. Customise it how you like. Just don’t expect it to be cheap. They do breakfasts and lunches too. A wide selection of off-the-shelf cakes and sweets available too. This place is historical and its reputation not only exceeds it but it is well deserved. Wedding, birthday and cakes for all occasions. You won’t be disappointed… even if you are a little poorer.

We loved this place so much. We were in Barcelona for five days in a nearby hotel and every day we came to Escriba. Delicious place! Everything is made with care and professionalism and the result is special and original. The service was great. On the last day, we saw how a video was being filmed in honor of an upcoming holiday and we got to see the people who are responsible for the desserts. We felt the beating heart of the place.

It’s a very nice place for a breakfast, a cup of coffee and some sweet. I love the music they played, jazz piano, which chill me the whole morning, I had a great time in here. They use white chocolate as menu, that’s a really creative and sweet idea ❤️😊

Pricey but worth it. Yummy tiramisu. Good coffee. Friendly service. Decent seating. You can sit here and relax and totally take your time. Spot on. One negative, the ceiling is a bit low so watch your head if you're taller than 6 feet tall.

He descubierto hace poco este clasico de la pasteleria barcelonesa y la verdad es que me ha sorprendido bastante. Los croissants tienen una textura crujiente por fuera y muy tierna por dentro, aunque reconozco que esperaba algo mas de intensidad en el sabor a mantequilla. La crema catalana esta bien lograda, con ese contraste perfecto entre la capa caramelizada y la crema suave. El local tiene encanto, con ese ambiente de obrador tradicional que cada vez cuesta mas encontrar. El precio es elevado comparado con otras pastelerias del barrio, pero se nota la calidad de los ingredientes. Eso si, en horas punta puede haber bastante cola y el servicio se resiente un poco.

No suelo escribir malas reseñas y mas cuando voy seguido a un sitio que me gusta. Pero hot me he sentido decepcionado ya que siempre suelo ir a pedir un chai latte( buenísimos) pero en este caso me lo pedí para llevar, dándome la sorpresa que el tamaño para llevar equidistava mucha diferencia cuando me lo dan en vaso de cristal siendo esta con mucha cantidad, le comento a los chicos que era poca cantidad y me decían que era lo mismo, en 3 sorbos me lo tome.... En resumen decepción calidad precio y estafado... 😅

Tiene mesas, en el interior, para consumir desde el desayuno a la merienda, con decoración fotografiable Gran surtido pastas He tenido la suerte de llevarme una barra de pan calentita muy buena Me ha extrañado que sólo tuvieran 4 tipos de tartas en 2 mostradores y que me ofrecieran solo las de chocolate. Tengo la sensación que la dependienta está con la cabeza en otro sitio. Después de pagar me indica que la tarta necesita 2 horas de descongelación así que toca alargar un poco la sobremesa. Los frutos rojos los comemos congelados y el trozo de pastel que nos corresponde lo dejamos a medias y queda bueno para los cafés En el barrio tenemos muy buenas pastelerías con nivel de calidad similar pero quizá mejor relación respecto a precio, oferta y servicio

The place has some really nice looking desserts that are good in flavor but not specially delicious. The price is high, maybe overpriced. I think they could totally do redecorate the place, feels a little old compre to their pastries and fame. The staff is friendly.

Es una pena porque uno intenta apoyar y disfrutar de los locales emblemáticos de la ciudad, pero la experiencia en Escribà de Gran Vía ha sido muy decepcionante. El chocolate a la taza estaba muy rico, pero la bollería estaba seca. A 3,5€ la ensaimada, lo mínimo sería que estuviera buena. Lo peor, sin embargo, es el estado del local: ya era hortera antaño, pero con el paso del tiempo se ha vuelto directamente cutre y decadente. El ambiente recuerda más a un restaurante turístico de baja calidad de Las Ramblas que a una pastelería histórica de Barcelona. En una ciudad donde lugares de siempre se han renovado de forma impecable (como Brunells o Hofmann) no hay excusa. La experiencia global ha sido muy mala.

Estoy muy decepcionada con esta tienda. Compré una tarta por 40€ para Nochevieja. A medianoche queríamos comerla, ¡y resulta que estaba congelada! Lo siento pero si pago tanto dinero por una tarta espero que sea fresca o que me informen de que está congelada para no meterla en la nevera.

We had great expectations when visiting the place, due to its family tradition (it operates as a family business since 1906!) as well as the positive reviews we saw online. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We ordered coffee and three different sweets to eat, none of which was fresh. The sweets looked beautiful but the flavours, though nice, were nothing spectacular. Unfortunately we found the place largely overrated and wouldn't recommend it, especially when considering the rather expensive prices.

Mean felt very crowded to us. Unfortunately, the lady at the counter did not seem very polite, and she insisted on speaking Spanish without communicating in English. We had to wait in line for quite a while. While the pastries looked very appealing, we wish the taste had matched the appearance, as we personally did not enjoy them. Overall, the atmosphere felt a bit tense to us.

If you are a group - you are warmly welcome, however, if you are a single customer they welcome you for take aways only - they don’t apply business logic and they don’t estimate that some single customers might spend more than a group. Pricey AND very disappointing. For 2.20€ a croissant, you’d expect a very good one. It was pretty bland and dry (low on butter judging by the smell). The cappuccino was pretty bitter, not a good coffee. But the worst part of the experience were the almond croissants. I don’t know what they slathered inside but it was definitely not the traditional frangipane and my stomach went upside down. To me, it smelt and looked like raw custard (and if this is what it was then it’s a health hazard for pregnant women and people with a weak immune system). In any case, very unpleasing biting into that unaware. Went straight to the bin.

Due to over rating by Google. I decided to stop over for breakfast however I'm extremely disappointed. Service - extreme bad services. I'm tourist I would expect to get some explanation how to make order and what is your signature pastry to try up but there no help at all. The lady didn't even border to explain and keep on show me the menu that only written in Spanish. At last I selected two pastry to try up and it's serve in cool. Later I saw she serve others customers all their pastry were heated up warm. Pastry - nothing special Prices - too expensive 2 cup of coffee and 2x pastry cost 14euro. Still charging extra 0.20sen.
