Sake Bomb Cicero Reviews
I eat at a lot of sushi joints and this one was top 5 for sure. They definitely have the best appetizers I've ever had at a sushi restaurant. The lava app is to die for. Service was great and the place itself was OK. Didn't sit at the hibachi but did watch a little bit. Often you see the cooks on autopilot, just going through the motions, but the one I saw did a good job acting like he was having a good time. If I lived in the area I'd be a regular customer!
I came with my best friend and sister-in-law for dinner at 530 and our server Shannon was SO SWEET and friendly! She brought out our food so fast and the food was great.
Great food, ordered several rolls and two hibachi dinners. Really enjoyed the food and chef's preparation / show. Just over $100 with tip for 4 rolls, two dual protein dinners, and drinks. Decor was nice but there were a few things that needed a deeper clean or attention to detail, some dust and stuff, nbd Would recommend and will be back.
Been here many times throughout my life and it has never disappointed. The hibachi is always a fun time and great for birthdays, date night or really any occasion as the chefs put on a fun and interactive show. The dining area also has a large menu too choose from and alot of fun and tasty mix drinks however they can be quite expensive. The service is mostly good I've had a few poor service nights but never enough too sour my taste of the place.
Was in town today and stopped in for lunch with my friend, and had an awesome experience. Food was amazing, with plenty of sushi roll options. Amber was our waitress and she was very kind, fast, and did an awesome job. Overall one of the best sushi places I’ve ever been to out of 100’s.
I stopped in for lunch between appointments on my day off. I was going to go to the mall for a quick bite to eat. I'm so glad I came here instead! Sushi, soup and a cocktail- soooo much better food than the other place! The price was great AND my waitress Sam was the ONLY waitress!!! I counted 10 parties when I came in and it stayed busy while I was there! Sam was awesome! She was sooo busy but so pleasant! Happy and personable! Ate a great lunch and continued on with my errands and appointments with a smile! Thank-you Sam you made my day! Such a pleasant experience for just a simple lunch! I will definitely be back; hoping to have the same waitress!! ❤️
It's fun and it's like being in NY and LA, in a good neighborhood that has sushi and sake. Why I even went there was, that it reminded me of my neighborhood sushi place in a major metropolitan city. Out of the way, obscure, But fiercely determined to give. A city vibe, no matter where you are from. I surely recognized my LA neighborhood. Do you know?
I ordered Pad Thai and sushi to go. Both were delicious and filling and the serving of Pad Thai was very generous. I'm excited to try more from the menu.
We loved hibachi at Sake Bomb! We were seated quickly on a Saturday night. The restaurant was busy and lively. Our server was sweet and attentive and hibachi was fun and delicious. We will be back for sushi!
I’ve been coming here since they first opened some years ago. While the atmosphere has changed (all Asian servers to all white servers), the top notch quality of food has not changed. I’ve eaten here at all times of day, all days of the week. It is always consistently good. In fact it is the only sushi place I trust and will eat in Syracuse. I recommend it to everybody. The tuna tar tar is my favorite. Spectacular Philly roll. Their pad Thai is great. Hibachi is good. This place has never let me down. Give it a try, with an open mind, and remember you are in upstate New York, not very close to a coast. They do a GREAT job.
Food is always good, attentive staff, good portions.
A last minute reservation on Valentine's Day got us in for a delicious meal and my girls first ever experience at a hibachi restaurant. The food here was great as well as the show that came with it. I had filet and scallops she had well done steak. I left with no leftovers and she will enjoy hers at lunch today. It was a blast with the typical culinary skills that should be expected and I got to enjoy some excellent sake . Take my word for it, a visit is highly recommended
Love coming in and sitting at a hibachi table. Nice fresh food and having several options to be able to try something new each visit. Entertainment is always a plus. Great chefs and wait staff. Have had their sushi for take out, was amazing. Have heard about sushi lunch specials, that will be my next visit. Was told you can't beat their sushi lunch pricing! Recommend everyone to try.
I have a gluten allergy and they acomidated it very well they cooked my veggies with no soy sauce and gave me gluten free soy sauce to go with my meal waitress was attentive and very nice even with our large group highly recommended and the steak was cooked perfectly
As soon as I walked it I was greeted by a cat waving at me. I love that thing. I was seated quickly and ordered sushi and rice. Shannon was absolutely fantastic. The tables had plenty of room for my mobility scooter, I am 550 pounds and it’s hard to be comfortable. I ate my meal which was very good then of course I had to use the restroom. I rode over there and of course my mobility scooter died as I was turning and I dumped the scooter and had to yell for help.
Everytimenwe come here, it's a great experience but this time was the best. We were here for my kids birthday and Sake Bomb and their staff really went out of their way to make him feel special. The chef was great and did a couple new tricks we haven't seen before and he was generous with the sake! The server was kind, fast, and attentive. And the food was delicious! Can't wait to go back.
Awesome food and service! Interior decor could use a little work. Great place for great food and drinks. Blue Hawaiian and Pink Lady are refreshing!
This was my first time eating here. It was phenomenal!! They accommodated me as I have a seafood and onion allergy. They made my chicken fried rice without onions and eggs....and I had the chicken wings and it was all amazing!! A HUGE serving as well. My daughter in law had the steak special with veggies and rice and it looked just as amazing!! I was quite impressed by everything...including the price!! Will definitely go back!!
One of my absolute favorite restaurants in the world. It may be in the middle of nowhere in upstate New York but it's an absolute must try for anyone passing through the area. The food is absolutely delicious because of the high standards of the owners, high quality of ingredients and great skills by the chefs. We always get the sashimi here because their fish is always fresh and the sushi chefs are skilled at the prep. The main attraction is definitely the hibachi/benihana at the table. Food cooked to perfection. I cannot really tell you whether you have rice or noodles as they are both great. I love the shrimp, filet mignon, lobster and scallops that they prep, but honestly everything is great here (I have tried the chicken, calamari and steak as well and they are delicious too). Service is one of the best, the chefs make the whole experience fun for the whole table including all the classics like sale bombs (squirting sake into your mouth from their bottle, onion volcano, flipping veggies into your mouth, egg flipping, and much more. Great experience all around.
Went to celebrate 4 October birthdays. Out of 13 of us, one has a shell fish allergy, and they did great. The night ended up crazy but all of us had fun even when their power went out soon as our chef finished cleaning his station. The manager was great. Each birthday person got deep-fried oreos and music. Will always be a remarkable night one to remember with fond memories
This is becoming a regular date night for me and my wife. The food is INSANELY good. The service is from another era. We have always had the super outgoing and hilarious waiter who’s name I believe was Ramon. But the service is just so good! One of the main reasons we came back was because he was so nice and good at his job. The wait times for sushi are very low. You can order one thing then order another and it will come out as you finish the first. I cannot say enough how good the sushi is. We tried a bunch and they are all incredible. I’d say this is the best sushi place in Syracuse.
We had a group of 12 show up with no reservations for a regular sit in dinner, not hibachi. A few were there early and had a table for the rest of us, but we were served quickly and the food was great. They were also super accommodating with splitting the check for each person. I'll be out that way for work again and I'm sure I'll be picking up some rolls while I'm there.
Love this place, good food great portions, and quite affordable. All good is well crafted and delicious, love the appetizers. If you're a fan of tuna I recommend the rainbow Naruto, it's rolled in thin sliced cucumber instead of rice and it's tasty, filling, and very refreshing.
Celebrated a friend's recent birthday here for the hibachi and was totally impressed with the food and service. We started off with a few sushi choices and they were some of the best sushi I've had in Syracuse. It was so good, I placed an order to take home. Our waitress was very good and attentive to our needs (8 of us) as well as another party of 8 or 9 seated opposite us. Some people balk at that type of seating arrangement but each party had plenty of space and neither of us could hear the others conversations. Our cook was also very good and did his job to perfection. The beef, chicken and shrimp dishes were well cooked, seasoned and tender. Don't know why I waited so long to try it here but now thay I have I'll be back soon.
Came here on my husband and I’s anniversary and we loved it. Service was awesome, place was clean, atmosphere was awesome. We didn’t do hibachi but we still enjoyed our time. Prices for the amount of food you get is perfect. The good itself is also perfect! We’re definitely going back!
Always one of my favorites!!! Xoxo just great atmosphere, I love that this restaurant is great for date nights and for family nights. Clean, friendly, wonderful service and amazing food.
Fresh sushi. Many great rolls and apps to choose from. Sashimi was fresh, no bones and decent portion
We’re very lucky to have a place this good close to us. We love been for hibachi in the past which was always a great time but to order out and get sushi, is the way to go. They do a great job and their ingredients always taste very fresh.
So fun and lots of delicious options! Have come here for sushi and hibachi on different occasions. The sushi is always fresh and well prepared. Some of the best I have had in the area. My favorite destination for hibachi too, cheaper and less greasy than some other locations I have visited. Plus they live up to their name and do NOT hold back when it comes to the sake!
We were planning to go to a restaurant we used to like in Syracuse on our way home. It turned out to be a disappointment so we got back on the road and saw a billboard for Sake Bomb, typed it into our navigation and we're so glad that we did. The food was great. The service friendly and a very nice atmosphere. We will definitely be back. We had honey wasabi tuna tataki, the passion roll, avocado salad and salmon teriyaki. Everything was delicious!!
A wonderful dining establishment that features table seating or hibachi (watch your food get cooked while being entertained by the chef) seating! A wide variety of sushi that's sure to tempt any palette. The plates arrive beautifully arranged, hot, and fresh. The staff is friendly and courteous and prepared to handle any problems with excellent efficiency. The adult drink menu has a wide variety of delicious choices including an "Apple Moscatini"! They also offer delivery through DoorDash.
Its a bit overpriced but the food is good.
It was very pleasant from our server therace very friendly we ordered off the menu from kitchen. My wife had steak& shrimp which was cooked perfectly as was mine steak & scallops med rare on both steaks comes w veggies and ginger dressed salad excellent taste'& portions. Only negative was Mgr or owner calling perspective employees during rush hour Saturday night
We went for sushi on a Sunday. Had oyster katsu and calamari appetizer. Crispy and delicious! I had Futomaki roll which was bright and fresh and my SO enjoyed his raw selection. Service was great. Just out of my neighborhood so probably won't be back very soon.
The free appetizer was really great very different in favor and taste. The fish was like butter and fresh. Ordered the sashimi dinner was good with a variety of fresh cuts of fish and garnish. Also had the clear soup for a side warm and hot. Bar special menu with a list of mixed drinks.
It was absolutely freezing 🥶 in the hibachi room. By the time the complete meal was plated, the fried rice was cold 😫. While this wasn't an optimal experience, I have been there before and it was spectacular.
A group of 12 went with reservations. Upon arrival we were told we would be seated once everyone was there. This was not the case. Apparently the table was full and waiting on the other party to leave. Wish they would have just been honest! Food was good, would have liked everything on my plate at one time rather than each item. Cook was great and funny. Waitress was helpful and pleasant.
Reservation at 5:30, didn't get seated until after 6:30, waitress didn't take any orders or bring us salad and soup til after 7. We were there for a birthday dinner with a toddler. Would not go there again for hibachi with a group and not sure why they want reservations when they still make you wait over an hour.
This Is a bittersweet place to eat. They usually have a lot of inspection fails and the place looks and feels sticky. I enjoy most of the food I’ve gotten. The wait staff is very friendly and very helpful in menu selections. But, don’t get me wrong, I go here way too much haha.
We were there on a Tuesday evening, at a Hibachi, with a party of 9. Food was good enough, but have had better. Can't help but compare to Ichibans, and Ichibans wins hands down. Restaurant could have been cleaner. Floor by entrance was sticky, the chair I sat in had sticky spots, and the menus were sticky. Service was a little slow at first. We were there and seated for at least 20 minutes before we received our drinks. With that being said, service proceeded adequately, and everyone was friendly. I guess for me, it was just average.
Our waitress was amazing!! So attentive so fast and she was juggling a million things. Could not say more positive things about her. Our 3 year old daughter was so content bc she made sure we were taken care of. However, the kitchen/ management was questionable. We had ordered a side of noodles that we never received and when we mentioned it they said we did receive it and ate it…which was news to me because My mouth did not get to experience any noodles. So they were not going to refund it. Our waitress brought us a $5 which I’m pretty sure was from her own pocket. This was not going to break my bank and I had planned to add it back into her tip anyway so we declined if. It was just wild to me that they refused to take it off our bill in the first place. We won’t go back, but if YOU do visit I hope you get the waitress we had, she was probably they best part of our experience.
Friends of ours recently introduced us to Sake Bomb and we’ve revisited the restaurant several times since because we enjoyed it so much. However, this past week I made reservations online through Google and nowhere did it indicate that reservation would be for the Hibachi. It was a very busy Saturday evening so the chances of getting a table promptly were slim. Two employees quickly found a way to make us a table which we were grateful for! But while we waited we noticed it was pretty cold in the building and after being seated our waitress informed us the heat had been broken for a week! It was 15 degrees outside and even though they had space heaters placed throughout the dining area, it was still unbearably cold and some of our friends had to leave their coats on to be comfortable. I wish we knew before we were seated that the heat wasn’t working as my friends and I may have made the decision to dine elsewhere. Next visit we will call our reservation in and make sure to ask if the temps are adequate.
Ordered my usual doordash it's like six pieces of sushi &California roll. I don't know what they did tonight but they put a not fresh fish sushi piece. I'm sorry it was tinned mackerel. I called me oh no that's fresh I said no it's not. And she said oh it tastes because the chef torched your sushi?????? I'm sorry what. Why would you torch sushi when you've never done it before for any of my other five orders. It was a tinned mackerel. 🤢 Are we now skimping on to go orders???
The wait for a chef was very long compared to the other parties that came in after us and had a chef. We went in with a group and spent roughly an hour of just waiting to be served food. Our waitress was nice but seemed super rushed. Pricing was decent and food portions were extremely generous. over all flavor was decent but we had to ask for additional sauces like hot sauce ect. The chef was really fun and the show he put on was great. seating was a tad awkward because I had to sit at the sharp edge of the table and really not enough space to eat. They do automatically add tip onto your receipt that is split for the serve and chef, I believe it’s a 15 or 20 percent tip. So be aware when you are manually adding a tip. We had to check twice because we almost double tipped. (We added a few extra dollars to our actual server) I got the chicken and shrimp hibachi combo but the steak and shrimp my fiance got was way better! I would recommend the steak for sure. Parking is weird and overpacked . No good structure for parking.
Reservation or Walk In? My group of 9 reserved a table at hibachi for 7:30. Our event ended early, so we arrived at Sake Bomb around 7. We understood that we were very early, and had no problem with waiting until 7:30. When 7:30 came around, a member of our party talked to a server, explained we had a reservation, and they told us that it would be an hour or more wait, and that there was no table available for us. No service member spoke to us until we approached one. Employees were also yelling at each other in front of customers. However, the manager was very pleasant and accommodating. We were seated at 8:02, much to our surprise. No waiter or server said a word to our party until 8:25, when they took our drink orders. Our drinks arrived at 8:35, when we ordered our food. The appetizers came around 8:45, and the food was delicious! No complaints in that area. At 9, the hibachi began to be cooked, and we were unable to leave until 10. When a party makes a reservation, they expect a table to be reserved for them, not to be treated as another walk in. Overall, the food was great, but the service..not so much.
I'm not quite sure where to start. I guess this place was good but far from great. I would definitely give it 7 out of 10 but I'm not sure that I would give it myself a approval #FatboyApproved The fried rice was very sad with no bacon or veggies. Is the chicken chew felt funny but it was cooked all the way. I don't want to scare people. Is a lot of it I feel was our young rookie rookie cook who did a good job but struggled a bit cut in the steak and the chicken.Where I give a perfect 10/10 score is the price per meal.
Food was presented beautifully. Plenty of food. Taste was not that good. A some what stale taste. Not horrible. Just not great. Have eaten there before and it was awesome. Also floors had papers and other discarded items on floor. Not sure if it fell off during transportation to from table. But problem was, no one took it upon themselves to pick it up. So it gave a dirty impression. The waitress we had was not engaging at all. When asked about how to pronounce or what was in an item, I felt as if I put her out. I asked for napkins and a fork. She just reached to table from the opposite side we were on and tossed them then walked off. So I had to move my chair to get them. Not a big deal but it seemed like an attitude. A/C was set to cold. So bring a sweater. Overall it was OK. Wish we had a different waitress. Price in line with other Orientals.
Normally I love Sake Bomb but my last experience there was kind of upsetting. Went there the other night for my birthday. When we first arrived they told us they just had to clear a table for us, then proceeded to leave us standing there waiting for a table for almost a full hour. Didn't even offer to let us wait at the bar or do anything to make us more comfortable. It seemed like we had been forgotten about, or there was a miscommunication with our table, because the host and server got into an argument about seating us, right in front of us. When we were finally sat there was nothing done to apologize for the wait time and nothing offered to us to compensate. Food took forever to come while we watched four of five chefs sitting and taking a break. (I have no issue with employees taking breaks but at this point it just felt ridiculous.) I had class all day on my birthday so this was the one special thing I was doing for it and it wasn't a very nice experience. it was 9pm when we finally got our entrees and we were all tired and ready to go after standing in place for an hour and waiting on food for another hour. Food was good but not something I would have waited two hours for and it was so late we just had to box it and leave. I wish they would have been honest about the wait time or offered to let us sit at the bar while we waited.
Not a great visit and not worth going to. It was very cold today and there was no heat in the restaurant. They tried setting up heaters but it was not sufficient. Went for hibachi but the area was so dirty and you couldn’t see the grill. Once we set into a table the food was okay, not warm but tasted alright. Pretty expensive restaurant, you’d think they’d be able to afford heat.
It was ok, ordered 3 rolls and they were falling apart on me. The most soup had no flavor either. I mean I get it, there's not a lot of competition out there so quality doesn't have to be great
I have dined at Sake Bomb several times over the past 5 or 6 years. Unfortunately, there has been a general downward trend in the quality of food. We went on a Saturday evening and chose to eat at a table instead of waiting for hibachi. First the good: our server was prompt and attentive. She took our drink order almost immediately and we were served quickly. The food? I ordered Wonton Soup. SMALL and unspectacular, especially for $4 dollars. My wife had the "clear" soup that is served with hibachi dinners. Flavor? Bland. Our side salads were ok, no complaints with them. I ordered chicken teriyaki with fried rice. You'd think fried rice in a hibachi restaurant would be outstanding. At Sake Bomb, you would be wrong. It wasn't the same quality as what comes off the hibachi grill. My chicken teriyaki was WAY overcooked and the sauce wasn't anything special. My wife ordered shrimp teriyaki and she had the same comment, but at least her shrimp was cooked properly. We skipped dessert. After dinner, she said "I won't eat at Sake Bomb again". Sadly, I have the same sentiments. I don't know why things have declined so much over the past few years, and at this point, I do not recommend Sake Bomb for a night out.
I usually am thrilled with the in person service and quality but tonight I decided on take out and ordered sushi and Pad Thai. Upon getting home I opened my meal and saw the Pad Thai noodles were just that.. noodles? There was the peanut mound on the side but no sauce or anything… just dry noodles. Called to try and rectify the situation, thinking maybe I just got a bad batch? I was told the sauce must have soaked into the noodles and there was nothing they could do.. I stated the noodles have no color so what sauce could have soaked into them? Upon that I was told they use a broth for their Pad Thai.. very dissatisfied because anyone who orders Pad Thai elsewhere (and from here in the past) knows it has tamarind sauce .. which would constitute the orange color I’m talking about.
I used to like this place but the prices keep going up. Then today I ordered an egg custard and a tofu skin roll sushi expecting it to be a few pieces but it was just one piece each. Each of these cost $7. This is nearly $15 for two small bites of food. Not sure if this was a mistake or what.....
This place used to be SO MUCH better but over the last two years the quality has dropped considerably. Took my Dad a few days ago for his birthday and the sushi bar was dirty and had rice and other food particulate everywhere. We had to clean it up. A lot of the soy sauce dishes were filthy, and my Dad's beer glass had a lip print on the glass from a previous customer. The servers are always sweating because they're so busy (understaffed?), which is unappealing. They also never have urchin or tuna belly; I'm not sure why it's even on the menu because I ask every time I'm in and not once have they had either. Also, the men's bathroom is disgusting. Considering sushi is a once-in-a-while treat for me, I'm more than willing to drive further for a more fulfilling experience. There are much better options in Syracuse. This was the last time for me at Sake Bomb.
Idk if this is the waiters doing, or the restaurants doing. Me and my fiance come here all the time and this has never happened. Our waiter was a girl named Arianna and we had a lunch in totaling at 83.16 dollars which was overpriced to begin with bc I didn't even eat the sushi I got, but didn't want to cause a scene about it so I just paid the bill anyway. Arianna must've added a 20 PERCENT TIP for herself bc I was charged 99.79 instead of our price. I barely had enough for our food, so I didn't tip. Now my account is in the negative and I never placed a tip on my receipt. This is absolutely disgusting and needs to be figured out. I will be calling about this in the morning bc it is down right disgusting that she decided to take some of my money for herself just bc she felt like it
Have always loved going with my family because of the vegetarian options. Went for hibachi yesterday and ordered vegetarian (as usual). My vegetables were cooked with all of the meat. Never were before they always cooked them separately and before the meat was placed on the grill. I told the chef I could not eat them and he set them off to the side and said nothing. My husband told the waitress and she just pointed out that she gave us 3 to-go containers. I was not rude, but I payed for food I was not able to eat and it was not cheap. I called to let them know and was told I have to notify them of allergies!? No allergies. Maybe they should just not offer vegetarian options if they don’t know how to cook properly and respect certain customers.
Owner was very rude. Terrible energy. Rolled her eyes at our party and didn't accommodate our party. Very disrespectful. I didn't want to spend my money there. Will NOT ever go back. The owner need to take a class for customer service and class to understand the energy you have without even speaking . Two girls at the front were gossiping and talking about the party. No good. I wish I could give 0 stars
Service was absolutely atrocious. I don’t know who hired the hostess’s but I asked her how much longer for my order and she said 10 minutes. I come back in 15 minutes later and she said “10 more minutes” and I said “that’s what you said 15 minutes ago” and she said “okay” and I said “what?” And she said “I don’t know what to tell you Ma’am” I’ve worked as a hostess before, and this is unacceptable treatment to their customers. Not a good reputation for this restaurant because this isn’t the first time something like this has happened
We dined in tonight and I ordered the chicken hibachi and my chicken was over cooked. Vegetables were good. Not sure if I’d go back again.
Went here after being away for a while with some friends. The server was rude, had a horrible attitude and I screwed up on ordering my noddles and usually restaurants would fix stuff instead she didn’t offer that didn’t do anything basically illustrated in body language and tone that you snooze you loose. She was very rude did not check up on us and then was probably the worst service I ever had in a very long time. Not to mention I tipped horribly because you are not going to try to be nice and throw the bill down and then throw boxes on our table and then try to kiss up and receive a good tip. I put on the receipt loose the attitude!!! And I’m glad I did because you do not belong in this service industry if you’re going to treat your customers like that. I have been going to this restaurant for years now and after tonight I WILL NEVER BE RETURNING EVER DUE TO HOW POORLY OUR SERVER WAS AND HOW I WAS DISRESPECTED.
My wife and I tried Sake Bomb for the first and last time. We both got hibachi she the chicken and I got the shrimp the shrimp and the chicken didn’t have any browning on them and the flavor wasn’t very good either. The vegetables were drowned in a sauce and the rice was mushy and didn’t look like it had hit a hibachi either. The soup and salad were probably the best part of the meal. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone especially for the price. This was a Saturday evening and we have always seen good crowds but now we’re not sure why 😞
Ordered on Grubhub from Sake and ordered Udon Soup. Order came and I picked up the bag and it was full of liquid. Turns out my “soup” was put into a regular to go container. So nothing is holding the broth in. Had basically dry soup. Hopefully the delivery driver doesn’t have broth on the seat in his car. Got ahold of Grubhub and they did great by contacting them and specifically requesting a soup that is put into a soup bowl. I get another delivered and it is like it is supposed to be. Broth in a liquid container and food in a nice bowl with a top on it. Why couldn’t they have just done that in the first place? I don’t know what person put my soup in a regular to go container… they shouldn’t be packaging food. I was highly disappointed and annoyed. Not good for my first time.
Took my daughter out to celebrate the end of middle school and my upcoming birthday. After drinks and appetizers were delivered, our waitress (Karen) completely forgot about our table all together. Someone else brought the sushi. We ate. Then we waited for 20-25 minutes for someone to stop by our table, but nothing. Finally, we had to go up to the hostess to ask for boxes. We finally see Karen, but she just jets past our table without stopping, doesn’t leave the check, and just says “have a good night.” We have to go back up to the hostess stand for the check. The hostess then has to go and find Karen to get our check. How do you just completely blank a table for 30 minutes? I understand being busy, but there were only a few other tables in the main dining room. If she was too busy to stop by our table once in 30 minutes, she should have passed the table to another server. Such a disappointing evening all around. Also, we watched a plate of sushi ready to be served sit for 10-15 minutes before finally being retrieved and served. Three different servers walked by, looked at it, and didn’t bring it to a table.
Need some one cooking that’s knows English the waiter rush you and the food is bland no flavor I wouldn’t come back nor recommend to anyone
I value honesty in my reviews, particularly to support local businesses in improving. While I was looking forward to dining at this restaurant based on several recommendations, my experience fell short of expectations. My lunch visit was marred by a lengthy wait of 40 minutes for a small order, despite it not being peak hours. Cleanliness was another concern; from the soy sauce bowls to the curtains and tables, which seemed oily, to the walls. The chilly interior added discomfort due to insufficient heating, which was not mitigated by the slightly high prices. On a positive note, the sushi served was fresh and flavorful. However, I would hesitate to recommend this establishment based on my visit.
Food was really good, but I have went there a couple of times and have witnessed the waitress Shannon on multiple occasions, harassing customers for their tips not being enough to her liking . Claiming she has the right to ask and is constantly putting customers on the spot and trying to embarrass them. It is unprofessional and I get it, but not everyone is fortunate enough to give a big tip. While I was eating, I’ve also heard her talking bad about other customers who had just left and was making fun of them and their disabilities. I’ve heard she has been reported to management multiple times but they allow it.
The worst service ever. Got sat, waited over 25 minutes and not a single soul came to check on us. Had a party of 20+ come in and lined up right in front of our table. No one said anything, came to take our order or anything. Even after I asked if we could get service. Completely ignored. I will never set foot in this place again which is sad bc we used to love it here. Complete joke on every level.
We ordered the sashimi house and some other stuff. After waiting for around 30 minutes, we got the wrong one which was the sushi house. We asked the waitress and waited for another 30 minutes to get the sashimi without an apology finally. What's worse was that the sashimi was surprisingly thinner than usual, and some were not even a complete piece!! I'm pretty sure because we went there a few times and we just finished another sashimi. I'm very disappointed with the food and service. I used to tell people to go here if they want to have something nice, and now I regret it.
The food was terrible. I had the chicken teriyaki and a dragon roll. There was very little eel in the dragon roll, it was very meh. The chicken teriyaki had no teriyaki sauce whatsoever. The meal was essentially just grilled chicken breast with vegetables. NOT worth the price at all. Bland chicken and vegetables. So disappointing. I will not be back.
I got the spicy crab roll and the spicy tuna roll. A couple hours after I got very sick, felt like I had food poisoning. Be careful when ordering from here
Sake Bomb does not take reservation for groups less than 6. Our group had 4 people so we were put into their automated notification system. The wait was approximately 30 minutes and we were notified our table was ready so the checked us in. After standing for 10 minutes I reminded them that they told us our table was ready, had written us down on but had not yet seated us. They informed us that a reservation had just arrived and had "literally" bump us from our table. The reservation that came in behind us only had 5 people show up. When I asked how they would call us for a table again, after they already checked us in, they so we were still in the computer. Where in the computer? Next to be seated. At the bottom of the list. Where?? They couldn't tell me but I had to wait. I made it easy for them and went to Olive Garden instead. They shouldn't have call a party of four when they had a party of 6 already schedule. They were extremely busy and I'm sure they didn't miss our business. I'm sure the waitress at Olive Garden appreciated the 20% + tip too!
I've been to Saki Bomb 3 times now the 1st two times it wasn't great but I thought I would give it another chance because it's been a while. I ordered take out Chirashi. It comes with miso soup. The pickup time was 30 minutes. I arrived in 25 minutes and it was waiting for me. The miso soup broth was water with no miso flavor. The wasbi was sitting on top of the tacky ginger and when I took it off the wasbi was brown on the bottom. The rice had a seasoning on it that was warm and had a strong fish flavor. The vegetables, carrots, were dry and the leaves were not fresh. The pickled veggies were warm and next to the warm seasoning on the rice. The fish was edible. I won't be back.
We ate at Sake Bomb last night, and both my wife and I got sick afterward—she had upset stomach right after dinner, and I felt nauseous and had upset stomach later on. Something definitely seemed off with the food. On top of that, I found out this place has failed health inspections multiple times, which is really concerning. Definitely disappointing because we were looking forward to a good meal. Just a heads-up to others—be careful. We won’t be coming back.
I ordered on DoorDash a chicken hibachi dinner. I even called the restaurant ahead of time to make sure that I could order Gluten Free and Seafood-free because of an allergy. The girl ASSURED ME that as long as I put that in the "Notes" on my order, that the dish would be made not touching any gluten or seafood. Well, halfway through eating the dish, I moved some chicken and noticed a giant piece of shrimp hidden in with the chicken. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? This is literally why I called ahead to MAKE SURE that it was fine for me to order from them. Thankfully I can still breathe right now, but man, how freaking negligent. This could have been REALLY BAD. I will never eat at this place ever again. For anyone who has any allergies... you've been warned.
