My boyfriend and I eat whataburger pretty often, it’s definitely our go-to! We typically pick it up curbside so we never interact with the employees. However, tonight we ordered curbside but I had to go inside to ask for some spicy ketchup and the atmosphere in the restaurant was AMAZING!!! Those employees are doing an awesome job and the manager working that shift was an absolute rockstar , very attentive and full of positive energy. I love people like him! Wish I could have gotten his name so that I could brag even more !

Denison whataburger is so awesome! Food was fast and of course it was exactly as ordered. The staff goes above and beyond to the point I felt I needed to tip. The lobby is always clean( no sticky tables), and the restrooms are cleaner than mine at home. 7 out of 5 stars!!!
This is an update on for the 5 stars I left 8 months ago. Just wanted to add they are still doing great here and Toni and her coworkers are doing an awesome job taking care of all the customers in the lobby today, August 31st 2025.

Today my Husband, myself, and our friend decided we wanted to have Whataburger because we don't have a good one in Oklahoma. We ordered our food at 12:06 by 12:30ish we haven't received our food yet. The manager had been taking orders to there tables. Noticed we haven't received our food yet. She took our receipt and immediately made sure our food was done and had fresh hot frys! Even gave all three of us brownies. I just have to say, that the manger was the only manger on duty and had new employees training. One of the new employees took our order. Somehow our ticket had Kathy for the name of customer. They had 4 Kathy orders. We'll as an ex employee of Whataburger I completely understood that when your not busy that to train an employee you let them play on the screen to be familiar with it. I applaud the Manger for not getting on to the employee, and to the employee don't feel bad everyone has to learn someway. I did want to talk to manger before we left, but I didn't want to disturb her through the lunch rush. I however don't know her name but I wanted to give her a Hug! And tell her you are doing a amazing job! Thank you for what you do! Being a Manger at a restaurant is very stressful but you did great. Have a wonderful day! God Bless You! Your doing great!

the food reminded me of the krusty krab but they didn’t use fish as the special ingredient and there was no kelp juice and no little green guy to try to come in all the time and steal a formula. The store owner was not a crab. But the cook did indeed act and look like spongebob. overall this isn’t the krusty krab but good food i suppose.

Stopped in for a late breakfast with our little kids. Quincy took our order and was super helpful and kind. Toni stopped by and asked us how our meal was and we mentioned the kids eggs were a little salty. Breakfast was over so they offered to make them a kids burger on the house. Great customer service is rare these days and the employees here were awesome! If we are in the area again and need a late breakfast we know where to stop! ❤️

It was my first time going to Whataburger today, and it was a fantastic experience. Food was great, our order was done quickly, and the hospitality that was provided to us from Toni, was honestly unlike anything I’ve experienced at a burger joint before. Stopped in tonight to grab a couple of shakes. Accidentally was given the wrong flavor. They replaced the flavor with a larger one then was ordered and the attendant at the window was so very sweet. Listen... We all know that water burger has some of the best fast food. I just do not understand for the life of me why it takes so long to get your food. Of course, I don't mind it taking a little bit longer when they're making everything fresh. However, a few mornings ago I got a number 21 BOB meal which is just bacon, egg and cheese on a bun with hash browns and a drink. It took 15-20 minutes for me to get my order and it was only me and one other car in line. But... It was hot and fresh and absolutely fabulous for a quick breakfast while on the road.

This was a stressful place to eat. There was a loud stinky homeless man in there gripping about everything he was getting for free, the workers were arguing, the food was ridiculously slow-so slow that people from the drive thru were coming in to speed up the food. My food was correct and good when it finally made it-but the overall experience was terrible.
The food is usually pretty good which is the ONLY reason I come back. The Whataburger in Denison is literally the SLOWEST place ever! It takes so long to get your food and the staff is usually so rude and ignores you. It's run by children. If they had the service and accuracy of chick fil a, and the speed of McDonald's, they'd be the best!!
Since the change in ownership (Company). I feel value for your buck has gotten worse as far as portions go. It has made me evaluate other meal time options. But Whataburger will always be my go to before McD's or BK. Denison Whataburger can be a mixed bag as far as service goes with crazy wait times some days and quick on others. The location is well kept and clean and seems to go through modernization periods every few years or so. I've eaten at various locations over the years in DFW and almost everyday while working nightshift in Sherman but that was 7ish years ago but the meals and service were Great back then. Can't attest now. Denison is my hometown and I'd like to frequent this place more but until the value gets better and wait times.. there are better options. 3.5 stars.
Came through there tonight got a number 3 and a kids chicken strips. The hamburger bun was so hard and dry I couldn’t eat it and the gravy was so old it had broken back down into water and my wife wouldn’t eat her food at all. SMH do better night crew!!
I came here a lot and the majority of the food what's fresh and good I normally order my burger dry with everything on it. I just don't like when they put the wet vegetables on there it makes the buns so soggy and this is why I like to order my hamburger dry because normally when they add condiments it makes the bond soggy even more but. Whataburger other than that everything else well the Fry's felt like they were under a hot lamp for a long time. They were hot but they were like sticks... Which leads me to think there was a lot of people there and we didn't wait very long so everything must been under a heat lamp.... Except for my soggy bun 🤨
I have been to this specific location multiple times. This was by far the worse. Spent 20 minutes waiting on good AT THE WINDOW. Then when I came was cold and soggy. The guy behind me actually left since it took so long. Just was terrible. Only thing good about the entire stop was the young lady that waited on us. Was very polite and respectful.

Foods delicious but I had to have them remake my burger. I ordered a number 5 no tomatoes no onions add grilled jalapeños sub mustard for creamy pepper sauce. It took 10-20 minutes for them to remake it then didn’t even put the grilled jalapeños on it.

I sat in line for over an hour. I know I should have left like the other 3 cars behind me, but I was curious to see how long it would actually take. I ordered TWO items. TWO!! Sat an hour and a half in line. When I did get my order, it was wrong. I’ve never had such a bad experience in any fast food restaurant.

Ordered my food around 11:45 pm didn't receive my food till 12:11 am. No one else was in front of our car, workers too busy chatting with each other and twiddling their thumbs. I ordered a burger meal and a salad, no reason should someone wait almost 30 minutes for that, worse even there were workers going back and forth front counter and kitchen with no hair nets. As someone who works in fast food this is truly upsetting.
They are locking up their dinning room again, gotta spend my money elsewhere again for a couple of months....update...1 month later and the doors are still lock for breakfast, seems everyone is going up the street to Jack in the box now. Order #594459 Ordered at 1956 (7:56pm) Received at 2039 (8:39pm) Had to wait for grilled chicken, I was not informed of this causing a 30+ minute wait and all of my other items to be cold. On top of that both of my chicken sandwichs were very subpar compared to all the other times I've had Whataburger. I've never once had Sherman location do this to me. Bright spot the cashier was solid,and very sweet. She did what she could to move us along once she figured it out our wait. We didn't check the temperature because of the wait. All in all worst Whataburger experience I've had.
I called doordash and had them bring me a $50 order of food for me and my family tonight it was a long day at work I was exhausted... After about 40 minutes doordash arrives with my food... My double meat Whataburger was a single Patty plain burger with only ketchup and what looked to be cheese that they attempted to scrape off because it was supposed to be plain as the sticker read, I called the Whataburger and spoke with Isaiah he was only willing to replace just the single burger at a later date as I sit here with no dinner and they have all my money I would have understood the mistake and you replacing the entire meal later in the future but no he only wanted to give me a single burger for a later date as a manager I know customer service and when this was your mistake that should have been caught on your end before my food was delivered the only right thing to do was replace the entire meal I don't even want the burger I called corporate and will update this post after corporate gets back to me to see how they handle it on their end I know me and my family eat Whataburger at least twice a month so I spend at least $100 a month at Whataburger I will never order food from this Whataburger again terrible customer service terrible way of apologizing for your mistakes made me feel like it was my mistake I knew I should have ordered pizza.
Pulled into the drive-thru at 1:41 AM. Got my food at 2:11 AM. The car ahead returned their order twice. I had to return a biscuit because it was rock-hard. Ate my fries at the window while waiting. They were hot. Congrats on that. Eventually got the replacement. It was fine. That’s it. That’s the review.
Been sitting in he drive through for 10 minutes. Just me and one other car, been here way too long. Seems the is the experience every time. Ya’ll could do better. I once asked the server why they took so long. Her response was that they’re you kids who do t care. Guess it’s true!
This location is a prime example of how poor management can impact every aspect of a restaurant. How the manager reacts to high traffic hours can typically give you a good idea of everything else. I got to see this manager first hand as they loudly barked orders, scoff at her employees, argued with employees, and overall just walk around and slow every process. What to see a better location? Get new management.
Everything is great except for the overextended wait. I was at the drive-through window for a very long time waiting for my order. 10/04/2025 Update While on my 30-minute lunch break, I ordered a simple #1 meal on the menu: a cheeseburger and fries. I was asked to pull around. I waited behind another vehicle for 5 minutes. An employee brought their food out and willingly told me I was waiting on fresh fries and it would only be a minute more. Seven minutes later, I left my car in the drive-through to check on my order. They hadn't even started it! Unless you have all day to wait for your food, I do not recommend this location! I went back to work without eating😞
If i could give this place a ZERO, i absolutely would! I ordered a "breakfast platter with sausage..drink to be an orange juice" plus a "biscuit gravy"...that's all, all that's it..which totaled $11.55. After sitting in the drive-thru for way too long, there was a 6XL guy named "Chris" that took my card. I explained to him the last time i ordered breakfast, it tasted like onions and please do not cook my breakfast next to or close to onions. He reassured me that wouldn't happen. I finally got my food and drove back way across town just to open my food container to see the slop in the photo. Gravy and I'm guessing cheese? was everywhere...something i did NOT order on that platter. They had my side of biscuit gravy in another container (did right from the looks). So, i immediately called back to talk to the manager who was this "Katy" with bad acne. I informed Katy BA of my wrong order issue and told her i be back to Whataburger in 5 mins because i was already in route. She said act like she was confused and asked ME "what comes on a breakfast platter"? A MANAGER asking a customer about THEIR set menu? Well i informed her and she said "i will let them know". I arrived and saw a line and so i called Katy BA and stated i shouldn't have to wait in a long line again due to your mistake and i informed you i was on my way back to Whataburger. Katy BA said again, "ok, i will let them know". I waited in the handicap parking by the front door (yes, I'm disabled) for over 23 mins. ATP, I'm over it and i called Whataburger back and it sounded like Chris 6XL answered the phone because he knew what i was waiting on. I told him i don't want the food now. I just want a refund because now the situation is ridiculous. Chris 6XL told me that he would let Katy BA know but i would have to come in for a refund. By the time i gathered up the slop, Katy BA come out saying, "i just got off break but here's your food. It's hot and fresh and burning my hand". Again, i stated atp, i want a refund. She look like she had an attitude the way she walked off quickly and said ok. I waited a couple minutes thinking she was coming outside with my refund but emded up going inside where Katy BA was waiting at the register. I stated i thought she was coming back to my car and of course Katy BA smarted off and said no, she told me to come inside (which SHE didn't) and that even Chris 6XL told me to come inside. OK. Katy BA rang up what was on the ticket ON THE CONTAINER and said my refund will be $10.80. I replied, NO MA'AM! THAT'S NOT WHAT I PAID ON MY CARD AND YOU ALL BETTER GIVE ME ALL MY MONEY BACK! Then i asked for corporate's number. Katy BA replied that the cash register said that's what it owes me back and corporate's number isn't posted but i can look it up myself. I asked her for her name again and Katy BA pointed to her "badge" that wasn't there and said oh, i don't have it on but I'm Katy. I looked at Chris 6XL since he was staring and said Katy BA claims she can't give me a full refund. Chris 6XL said all blank "uh...i don't know" and that's when Katy BA interrupted and said Chris 6XL wouldn't know and she was handling it and do i want the $10.80 cash or not. I told Katy BA i will go ahead and take my partial refund but I'm reporting them for scamming! Whataburger? You should be ashamed of yourselves for having Katy BA and Chris 6XL representing your corporation! NOT ONE APOLOGY WAS GIVEN! It's definitely got to be a problem because it seems that location can't keep team leaders and workers there even temporarily! The attitude and bad service that takes extremely long IS RIDICULOUS. I was very unhappy but i realized when i got home, i still had the orange juice. SO KEEP THE REST OF THE CHANGE ALONG WITH YOUR BAD ATTITUDE AND BAD SERVICE!
I am very dissapointed in the service , quality of the food. I ordered hamburger meal and cranberry salad . My salad had the stem of the lettuce that shouldn't be in the salad. It was old had slimy lettuce. It is ridiculous you charge $9.00 dollars for old lettuce. My special needs daughter could've choked on that . This wasn't worth the wait of 20 minutes. You wait so long to end up with cold food. I've been to surrounding whataburgers and it's an inconvenience to have to drive further distance to get better quality food. I spoke to the manager and she wanted to get me another salad made. Why so I can have the same thing happen. I've given this place 2 chances and failed again. Don't waste your time or money.
I hate this whataburger if it wasn't so close to me I would never go to it. I always have the worst experience here no matter what time of day I come. If you eat here good luck people are rude and only care about the quota.
Not greeted by staff. This place was FILTHY. Literally EVERY TABLE was dirty. Greasy fingerprints, condiments, sauces, straw wrappers, food reminants etc on each table!!!!! Floor was the same. The drink station was worse. Dried up tea spilled overall grossness. Just really nasty place. For this to me a brand new restaurant I would expect better from it . There was only one other guest inside there besides me. It was 6pm and tons of teens behind the counter 'working' but definitely NOT cleaned in hours. I won't take my kids here. Gross.
Whats the point in having someone pull forward to stop get better time to have the wait 15 minutes get the order wrong and not fresh food just give good service with worst window time i dont get it
After I placed my order in the drive through I had ordered two honey mustards. They forgot to out them in the back like usual but this time me abd my wife were having a conversation. So I had forgotten to check until half way home. We'll they forgot them two sauces that I paid for. But that is what it is I turned around and went to pick them up. Mind you it is snowing and all icy outside in there parking lot. I walk in almost busting my but and the lady at the counter would not give me my sauces without having to walk back to my car in the freezing weather on an icy ramp to then get my receipt and bring it to her. So I have to almost get home, turn around go back to the store ask for sauce that I paid for go back to my car then go back inside. All while its freezing all while my 40$ of food is getting cold, all while im drinking my drink that im supposed to have with my meal alllllll because they forgot my sauce. And I had none at home that's why I went to get food. If she had dental made me go get my recipt especially in these weather conditions I wouldn't have even left a review but this crappie location always messes up on orders and on sauces.
Every aspect of my order was wrong. I asked for A medium Dr. Pepper I got a small coke. Wanted a breakfast burger got breakfast on a bun. I ordered a side of biscuit and gravy and didn’t get it at all. On top of all of that it took forever. How in the world can you take so long to serve people and STILL get the whole order wrong????
I wanted to eat food with friends here, and im a regular. One night I decide to bring something else and eat with my usual friends who are eating from this restaurant. I was not allowed to eat in the establishment bc I didn't order from their menu... I did nothing to bother them but still they threatened my stay. There is not even a sign to so NOT to bring outside food and/drink.
Fry container was only filled half full. They were also...but not old cold....cold as if still frozen cold...Chicken was still frozen in the middle. Gravy was missing. This was a replacement because we were originally given bill r.s order that was a buffalo sandwich with onion rings when we ordered a chicken strip meal with fries. Will never eat here again
I visited this establishment in search of excellent service and delectable food, but unfortunately, I was met with neither. The worker, Kenneth, was incredibly rude and disrespectful. When I requested more ketchup, he gave me the most unpleasant look. Despite my attempts to be polite and express gratitude, he continued to stare at me rudely. This incident truly ruined my Whataburger experience. I doubt I’ll be returning due to Kenneth’s negligence and disrespect.
I ordered a sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich at 10:55. They said they are no longer serving breakfast-“didn’t have any biscuits”. I’ll be happy when the new one opens on 120, maybe they will serve breakfast until 11 as advertised.
