Wnet there to watch game 1 of the world series in the bat area. It was 5 of us the server was awesome. The beer is nice and cold. The wings were off the hook crispy and the sauces were on point. The pizza has a nice amount of cheese and the bread was soft and right. It was my first time and I will be back for sure. The price was fair as well. Ambience was relaxed.

1st time here and i was impressed. Spicy shrimp and chicken pasta was really good with the perfect amount of spice for me, since i normally can't handle a lot of spice. I usually drink raspberry tea so the raspberry soda was a nice change, very flavorful. The johnnys margarita was huge and good. The tiramisu was excellent.

This was my first time coming to Corino's and it was de-li-cous! I had the spicy romano chicken and calamari as appetizer. My girlfriend got the chicken jalapeno ravioli and everything was so good. At the end we even got a taramisu that we were definitely too full for but still enjoyed.

Went on a whim for lunch on a Sunday. It was fairly empty and the service/server was fast and amiable. We really enjoyed the more relaxed atmosphere compared to the typically more hectic dinner rush. The food was well made and tasted great. Some stuff is a little pricey compared to other places, but you get a good portion size as well. Overall a wonderful experience. I plan on going back when the lunch specials are available (Monday-Saturday until 4pm, I believe)

Plenty of parking, went on a Friday afternoon. Dodger game going on. Party of 11 and we're seated quickly and served promptly. No reservations needed. The bread to start was great and the drinks were good. Had the Buffalo wings, frys, spicy pineapple pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, fettuccine Alfredo, parmesan chicken, minestrone soup and salad. All the food was delicious and hot. No complaints. And fudge dessert was perfect ending.

Went here for the first time. We sit in the bar side. Overall all of the employees were helpful and answering our questions. I don’t think they had any idea that it was our first time. I would definitely like to say the pizza was really really good. A lot better than I expected. We went on a Monday so they have a half off deal on the Family platters. Which was cool because it was a big portion and honestly could have fed my family for sure. We order the Chicken Bow tie it was pretty good. I recommend this place. It may not be one of the big names but I really thought it was a good place to eat. We will definitely be going back again to check out some of their daily specials. Nice job guys!

Great food, attentive, and courteous waiter made the 30 minute wait to be seated, worth it. Have the chicken nachos while you wait for your Main Course, but skip the calzones, there light on the cheese and sauce.

Good Italian food at a decent price. This location has construction going on so less dining room available. Went on a Monday so got 50% a family meal, so we were very happy with the price, also got a take home lasagna for $88.88 out the door. It's a good option for people in the area.

My total was over $22. I love their cherry crème soda. I always make sure I stir mine to get a nice balance of crème and cherry. The nacho appetizer has shrunk to a mini plate. Nice thick, crispy, slightly puffy chips. I really like yellow cascabella peppers. Bread goes well with the lobster ravioli sauce. I enjoyed my rare steak and the bleu cheese side salad (bottomless) was decent. Crisp lettuce with the right amount bleu cheese. Ravioli was nice and creamy. Had a nice lobster filling. Bread was hot, soft, and fluffy. I wish I was able to use my free pizza coupon, but I could but use the coupon because they sat me at the bar section.

Good food. Great service. Nice and clean. I had the chicken parmigiana and spaghetti lunch special and my mom had the lasagna and house salad. She said the dressing tasted like Olive Garden's dressing. Food was tasty. We enjoyed the hot bread with the olive oil, salt and pepper dipping plate. Bread was nice, crusty on the outside, warm and chewy on the inside. Food was flavorful. Mom had a Bellini, you should ha e one too! I would come back for more.

The food was great, I tried their lunch menu this time and I really enjoyed it. I had Italian chili soup and a personal size pizza for only 12 dollars. I am not giving it 5 stars cause it took them a little too long to make the pizza and I had to get going. Recommended, specially if you are not in a hurry.

Ambiance: outdated and maybe over done with the decor, but it does feel like a old school Italian place. I went for happy hour and there weren't many people at all. Service: I was just about the only person there, but the service was great! Very kind and attentive, never waited long for anything . Food: The spicy Hawaiian was delicious, favorite part of my experience there with the frozen margaritas at a close second. I also had wings, which I didn't really enjoy (no pic). Overall, I enjoyed myself and would be back. Plenty of free parking.

Delicious! Food was piping hot even though we were served outside. I tried the pizza for the first time & it was perfect. Nice & thin, yet with a chewy crust and fresh tasting toppings. Would definitely get again. Their small is cut up into 4 slices. Even my son's burger was delicious. And of course the entire reason we go there: my husband's all time favorite spicy chicken & shrimp romano. I'm not a big pasta person (hence my pizza orde), but even I like this dish. The crusty bread they serve as an appetizer is just the icing on top. Update: still delicious with the best pasta. The cheesecake is fluffy and creamy.

I'm giving the 3 stars for the excellent, friendly service. The person who seated us was so friendly, and our server was very nice, efficient and helpful. Sadly, the food wasn't great. We went for happy hour, ordered several items and only the cheese sticks were very good. The calamari was decent, if a bit undercooked, the buffalo fries were way undercooked, the boneless wings were just OK, and the fried ravioli almost seemed microwaved. It was not crispy at all, just sort of limp. I've made air fried ravioli at home that was better. We also had margaritas, and with the first drink, I commented that it tasted like they use a cheap, powdered lemonade mix rather than sweet and sour. It was hard to drink. We used to come for happy hour before covid and it was one of our favorite places. I know covid changed everything, but we were really disappointed. I hope they can change things up, because we could really use a good Italian restaurant in Downey.

we arrived to have lunch w family and hostess was very nice and tried to accommodate us BUT the only server working at that time, was not nice at all. She was rude to hostess and infront of us, told her that she was not going to attend us. We left. You dont want to lose customers you need more waiters.

Food is good. I don't visit as often as my experiences haven't been the greatest. Every so often when I receive a notice about a special, I'm convinced to try again. Last night while dining at this location I didn't feel very welcomed, sort of typical. When I asked our waitress for bread, her response was, we usually don't give bread when people order salads and pizzas. Really?? I was feeling tired and I simply wanted to enjoy a nice meal. It's unfortunate that waitress came up with a silly excuse rather than simply wanting a customer to enjoy their experience. There's been several unpleasant experiences at this location and I don't plan on returning despite appealing specials. I vowed to not tip waitress as I was upset, and yet I couldn't help it. I'm easy going. I wish some waiters and waitresses would stop behaving like their paying out of pocket for requests.

I stopped coming to this particular Johnny Carinos because the service was so slow. However I did go in at the opening hour, my service was really quick. I ordered the half wedge salad which is always so delicious. I recommend it. However, the pizza was horrid. Soft and wilted in the middle .ugh

This spot was alright. We had an early dinner and the place was quite dead, however I have an anniversary coming up and I think it would be a great place to have a nice dinner with my wife. Although some prices are a bit high, there are some great specials. I had the Johnny's Combo which consisted of chicken Parmigianino, lasagna and spaghetti. I can't recall the name of the burger my brother ordered but he said it was alright.

My wife and I went here on a date night. The host sat us in a booth that was had no cushion support. It was super uncomfortable. The server wasn't very pleasant and anytime we asked a question it was a one word response. The server did bring everything we asked for although it took a little while to receive. Food was good but nothing special. Overall the best part was the atmosphere it was nice. Not recommended!

Went here on 6.6.25, had one of those bag coupons for 1 free dinner. The server was Elizabeth, getting our orders taken was ok but then the dinners were delivered and half way into the dinner we remembered that our salad never arrived. Almost had to yell to get the servers attention because after delivering our dinner plates she never came back. Again after our salad came she never stopped by to see how we were doing. And Then again I almost had to yell to get her attention for the check, I also had to remind her about our free take home bread. We also asked for a box which also took a while, but she didn't bring us a bag with that, we had to get one ourselves. Our server was very, very inattentive...

Went in around 730. Seemed like we were bothering them. Pasta was undercooked. Dropped 15% and chucked dueces. Wont go back.

Service was good. The food quality not so great. I was very unsatisfied with my meal and my sister and mom as well. I barely took a bite of my burger and fries were not that great either. The presentation was poor and the buns were slightly burned. It felt I was taking a leftover and not freshly made. Don't know if I will come back.

What Italian restaurant doesn’t serve angel hair pasta? Floor was very dirty, crumbs and pieces of bread on the floor next to my table. Don’t they clean up after someone else has left?

Don't get me wrong, the food is good. Everything else can be improved. Took them a couple of minutes to seat a party of two. While ordering drinks we got two waters with no ice. I don't think the waiter heard us as she brought us two ice waters and when we asked for water with no ice she switched with another waiter. The food is good, but it also overpriced. Two stars for the food.

Was not satisfied with our meal. Tried the lasagna and it was super salty, fettuccine was bland and had too much pepper. Ordered the spinach and artichoke appetizer, it was very soupy and was served with stale wontons. We also ordered a small pepperoni pizza and it tasted like frozen cafeteria food. Its really gone down hill. You can tell in the food quality where they cut corners to save money. The bread was a sliced hot dog bun. The garlic oil that used to be amazing tasted artificial and got stuck in the teeth as a solid paste. The calamari included mostly fried pepperchinis as filler. The steak was over cooked. The lemon rosemary chicken was not good. The salad came out after the meals. All the tables were dirty. The service was slow.

My brother-in-law and I came here for dinner on Sunday, 02/01/26. Arrived at 4:15pm, and there we SEVERAL empty tables. The hostess, who seemed less than happy to be there, said it would be about 10 minutes or so. As we waited, she went back to folding the silverware in napkins. After about 10 minutes she put her silverware away, grabbed 2 menus and said she could seat us. She sat us at a table that had been empty and was already clean, so I'm not sure why we had to wait. When our waitress, Andrea C, arrived it was almost as if we were bothering her. She asked if it was our first time and we said yes. Not once did she suggest anything like most servers do. We ordered water and ice tea and that took nearly 15 minutes to get. She brought us the olive oil dip for our bread, but NEVER brought the bread. I had never ending salad with my entree, and when I was asked if I'd like a second bowl, she didn't bring until I had already started on my entree 20 minutes later. My brother-in-law's entree was brought to the table first, but I had to wait nearly 15 minutes after that for mine! And she never came to check on us for refills or ask if everything was ok until the end of the meal. She has to be the most rude servers I have ever had. The only reason I'm giving 2 Stars instead of 1 is because the food was pretty good and the lady that brought the food to the table was very pleasant and friendly. I can honestly say that even though the meal was good, we won't be back anytime soon.

Came last week Saturday and was disappointed based on service. My fiancé’ received his food and 10 min later my food still wasn’t out. Finally the server brings my food after the fiancé was done so we’re looking at about 15 min or more I had to wait. There was never a sincere apology from our server and I truly believe she forgot to to put in my food based on the time it took to get my food. While the food was GREAT no one wants to wait and be the only one eating. We decided to give this Carino’s another chance tonight 12.27 and test again service was lacking. Server only checked on us one time and we waited for 10-15 min just for her to come back for us to ask for a box and our check. Now I get that she had other tables but I am a server myself and I do my best to check in on my tables to ensure all their needs at met. I’m not sure if I’ll ever come back the food may be great but for me service is AS important if not MORE for me to want to return.

Came here for 1st time for my mom bday. Our waitress Elizabeth was very friendly and sweet. My only concern is that the manager was rude to the staff loudly in front of everyone waiting at host table. To me that was very unprofessional . It made the vibe awkward. 4 years ago this place was full. Now its empty. Which means no money coming in. So no money for servers, waiters,staff etc... so everything is just awful now. I give it another year before its a TGI Fridays.

I place an order yesterday around 6 to 7 P.M. and the payment didn’t go through. I didn’t notice till today. Almost getting there to the to the restaurant last minute canceled.

Have been coming here for a long time and food is alright but really like their salad. Sad to say I won’t be back. I received the worse service today. Waited 20 minutes before I asked the waitress if we could get drinks because no one had taken our drink order. She had the audacity to have an attitude and say no one told her we were sitting there.. but she had been taking care of the table next to us. So that argument was mute.

My experience is only based on the bar area as we typically go here vecause it is happy hour all day everyday and different specials, well not last night. Even though the menu SPECIALLY states "all day" our server made sure we knew that happy hour was not going on right now. Me and my wife were confused but really hungry so we ordered anyways. Server completely forgot that we ordered italian nachos and said "they ahould be coming up? You know it aint happy hour prices though right?" I said "yes, you let us know that when we said to order them". The food is good at Carinos and the prxie you cant beat, during happy hour! But ther service seems to remain the same. Ive posted the menu that clearly states HAPPY HOUR EVERYDAY. If you go just make sure to avoid the bar area, happens everytime. Oh and i forgot the people next to us got happy hour pricing because "his manager decided to honor it this one time" but i thought there was no hapoy hour sir? Beyond disappointed

If I could put zero stars I would. Food is not the greatest anymore, the quality has changed drastically. Atmosphere has changed as well, I can cut the tension between workers with a knife, Instead of working on providing good customer service they are focused on gossiping about each other. Elizabeth the hostess with the curly hair at the Downey location does not like her job. I raised my hand to ask a question and she looked at me directly and ignored me. And passed by me lol! Wow it’s crazy how they let their personal problems affect the diners experience. I’ve been coming here for a while and really like the place but with this experience I do t think I’ll be back. Specially when you’re spending over $150! You expect better service not even that at least some attention lol.

So we ordered nachos with chicken and they brought us nachos with chicken on the side after we finished. Telling us sorry we forgot the chicken. Seafood was too fishy for me. Calamari appetizer had more fried jalapeños than seafood. Pasta sauce was good but service was poor.

They didn’t pay attention to order notes. Asked for no mushrooms, got mushrooms, asked for bow ties instead of fettuccine, got fettuccine. My girlfriend ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo but they didn’t put any chicken in her meal. We called Johnny Carino’s and they said we ordered wrong and it’s not their fault but my receipt very clearly says the notes and that she ordered chicken fettuccine. Terrible customer service. I would like a refund. This is ridiculous. Spend $50 on food and didn’t even get what we wanted. Terrible customer service.

Had to ask for bread, our salad and soup. As soon as salad was brought to us, a few minutes, later she brought the main coarse and it was cold. Very disappointing. Never had such bad service.

This is the first negative review I will create. This past Sunday, we went because Chili's had a plumbing issue and shut down the restaurant. A Hispanic woman attended us and brought us a beer and iced tea. Later, we asked her for another round, and fifteen minutes later, she was washing dishes behind the bar. So we moved to the bar to get served by a bartender. I asked for the special of the day, a pepperoni and cheese pizza with extra pepperoni, and I got something that was worse than a frozen pizza. I truly believe that place is just there to drink beer and consume alcohol. I will never go back, not even to use the restroom. I will post the pizza from sunday, and I will post a pizza from another place for comparison purposes.

This place is flaudering. Food and service is no better than the pseudo-Italian restaurant Olive Garden. I ordered their supposedly in-house made lasagna and it was distasteful. It was about 3.5 x 3.5 inches for.$20!!! Sauce tasted like from a cheap.tomatoe sauce can. There was nothing fresh. You get equal quality from Stouffer's frozen lasagna from the market at less price. The waiter never came around to refill anything. The menu is large and that is probably the problem. We also had a pepperoni pizza. It was only mediocre at best. Seriously, need to improve the food quality and taste if you expect us to pay higher prices. Not coming back again

If I can give zero stars for food I would, when we arrived we liked the atmosphere we got seated fast and our waiter was honestly really cool and awesome , we got our bread and the oil and it was delicious so I was excited for the food to arrive and boyyy was I disappointed big time honestly some of the worst food we have had at a restaurant . my wife got the baked tortellini and I got the CHICKEN PARMESAN RIGATONI FESTIVAL, the marinera sauce on the baked tortellini had no flavor no seasoning what so ever it was watery my rigatoni was well undercooked also lacked flavor All I tasted was bacon my chicken was salty and dry I only was able to take a few bites we also the fried ravioli as an appetizer and it arrived after our entres and when we got them they were greasy and nasty , we even got A side of Alfredo sauce and jalapeño Alfredo sauce and they had no taste was so ever it was shocking I never had any experience this bad like no one in the kitchen decided to taste anything, we honestly were really disappointed and when we got the check it was 83 dollars it was so bad that for the first time I asked to speak with the manager and asked if they can remove the plates from our order he was nice enough to do that but it was honestly very disappointing and we left felling really unfulfilled and regretful of choosing this place it was bad enough that even for my first time ever I’m leave a review I never do but I felt like I had to share my disappointment so people could be aware and carful here are the pictures of our plate after we finished as you can see they are full and barely touched. Got a pizza for my daughter and honestly it was good had no complaints about that
