Food was some of the best I’ve tried, we had sushi, and hibachi. The atmosphere was very nice with relaxing music, dim lights, lit candles and flowers on the table. The server also brought warm towelettes to wipe hands with prior to eating. Upon leaving, the host gave our kids ring pops, which just added to the experience. 10/10 definitely will be coming back.

Great new restaurant! My wife and I have been there a number of times, the hibachi is excellent, the sushi delicious and the prices reasonable. Service is amazing! The hibachi area can be a little loud, so if you don't need the "show" then opt for the dining room where it is beautifully redone and very quiet to enjoy a great dinner in a beautiful modern atmosphere. You can still get hibachi food in the dining room, just without the show. As a bonus you also get big portions and the hibachi dinner includes noodles, fried rice, vegetables and of course the main course. The sushi is fresh and well made, with a vast selection to choose from. This restaurant is so much better than the old tired places on the Parkway which are greasy, have mediocre service, act like they are doing you a favor in serving you, and high prices. Go today!

My first visit: I was beyond impressed with service, quality of food, taste of food, variety of offerings from the menu, friendly people and greeted SO kindly. I haven’t experienced such a wonderful, pleasing welcome in so long. My second visit this past Saturday 12/7 was matched with perfection honestly. But let’s get to the taste and favor offerings from the menu… everything from beginning to end is absolutely fresh and high quality offerings. My first visit was about the lunchbox. Recently, I had the Hibachi offering from the lunch menu. Both times were so satisfying!. Both times, the welcoming service was amazing and I left with a true smile. The owner/manager is wonderful!. He welcomes you as if you are a part of his family, so humble and genuine. Extra note: My nephew is in the Navy, and was stationed in Okinawa for two years, and as I described my experience, he said, that is truly exceptional, and again, genuine. You must visit this restaurant and enjoy the wonderful experience they have to offer you!.

I had an excellent experience here! The staff is very kind and patient, always willing to go above and beyond for customers. The food is an extraordinary example of asian cuisine. As an asian woman myself, it’s so great to see such culture exemplified and illustrated so well! I recommend this place to all my friends and family, and they love it!

I love this place so much. the food is beyond incredible and everyone was very nice. I definitely recommend the Naruto roll, not only is it a beautiful dish but tastes amazing as well. My boyfriend and I have had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. We have eaten here 3 times and each time we have been impressed with the overall quality they strive for. I’m unsure about the hibachi side because we go to the booth side for sushi. The atmosphere is calm and refined. The service is wonderful and attentive, always checking in making sure drinks are full and the food is to your liking. The owner makes sure to come say hello and get your opinion on the restaurant. The food is to die for with not only its presentation but the taste of everything we have had is heavenly. You practically can’t even hear the noice from the hibachi room which is so nice with the plus of the soft piano they have playing on the radio. This restaurant is a wonderful place to eat especially on date night. We will definitely be consistent customers moving forward.

Good was amazing, the setting and service feel upscale. Some misgendering happened the first time I visited but t this time the staff were much more careful. It is nice to have a sushi restaurant that gives an upscale and mannered experience.

Came here for hibachi for the first time. We didn’t have anywhere near a full tables worth of people, but they immediately sat us and started cooking our food anyway, which most hibachi places will not do. We very much appreciated that as we came with a toddler with an expectedly short attention span. Love that they give you noodles as well as the rice. Everything was wonderful and my tofu was perfectly cooked. My toddler loved the whole experience and the chef was incredible with her. They forgot about our sushi rolls (honestly, I did too) but realized their mistake and promptly came over to profusely apologize, gave them to us to go (we had just finished eating), and removed them from the bill, so they were on the house. Our toddler went home and scarfed down the crab rolls so they must have been good! Competitive pricing. Very lovely atmosphere and incredibly clean. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely LOVED it here! The food and ambience were superb. The dinning area was very elegant with sophisticated curtains and other fine details. The food was exceptional. We had the tempura oysters, fried soft crab, seafood soup,scallops and salmon and lobster and steak hibachi combo-it was all delicious! The yum yum sauce was also the best I’ve had! We will be back and can’t wait to try the sushi!

Edit: Issue was resolved, and both items come with the Hibatchi yet again! Thank you! Without a doubt the Hibatchi at this place is pretty good. Which is why we been there several times since their opening. Unfortunatly now that they have made a name for themselves the owner believes that cutting things from the Hibatchi, but still charge the same price is ok. Went there the other night, and were you always received rice and noodles as part of your meal, we were told that noodles were not served with the Hibatchi anymore, that now we would only get rice, and that portion of rice was the same as before, basically cutting the side in half. I was told that if I wanted noodles that I would have to order them from the kitchen, but now be charged for them separately. I did, but they were not even nearly as good as from the Hibatchi either. Just very greasy. The place is not cheap to begin with, which is totally OK for us if the quality of food is there. I just really don't like to support greed. Unfortunatly We will take our buisness elsewhere from now on.

A great night out. The waiter was entertaining and attentive. The venue was very clean, recently updated and comfortable. Our chef did the expected hibachi performance, and cooked our orders perfectly. The portions were generous, noodles in addition to fried rice was a welcome addition.

The dining room is nicely designed and decorated. The server was very attentive. The portions are very generous and the quality is excellent. Highly recommended.

From the moment we entered, and were greeted by a pleasant gentleman, we knew we were in for something special. Before we ordered, the server presented us with warm towelettes. Nice touch. Our server was exceptional. We ordered cocktails which were on point along with appetizers: Spicy Kani, Shumai, and Soft shell Crab. Our entrees: Beef Negimaki & Bulgogi. We ended our meal with Mango Mochi Ice Cream, Dragon Fried Banana and a steaming cup of Green Tea. The food -- wonderful! The service -- wonderful! The atmosphere -- wonderful! Kudos to the team at Arashiyama. You've created something really special here. Highly recommend this restaurant for a fabulous culinary experience!

I grew up in Endicott (graduated from UEHS in 1979), I moved away for business opportunities in my field. I’m visiting family and they took me to this restaurant. Eating here I couldn’t believe I was on Washington Ave. The Dining experience was awesome. Great environment, extremely attentive wait staff, the owner even came by our table (very nicely dressed), bowed and thanked us for dining here. My meal started with a small bowl of Miso soup (included with my order). I ordered 2 different rolls of Sushi. The Boston roll, and the Ocean Wave designer roll, both were DELICIOUS. This was on a lunch choice where I got this meal for under $20. It was AWESOME!!!! I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant, and hope it does well at this location. Endicott revitalization NEEDS establishments like this to make this town a special place again!!!

We were so excited to see a new Japanese restaurant open and got to try tonight! The sushi was so fresh and flavorful, there were plenty of interesting rolls to try, the service was excellent, and the ambience was beautiful! We will definitely be back, can’t wait to try more yummy sushi!

We got a huge amount of sushi we ordered Sushi special B totaling 10 rolls. Every roll was exceptionally made. Without a doubt the best sushi I've had locally. The service was speedy and attentive. The service staff were extremely helpful and on the spot. The atmosphere is modern and clean and perfectly suited for the restaurant.

The food was amazing, the waiter continued to check up on us regularly, Everyone was very kind. My twin brother and I went on our birthday today and he told the waiter that we were there because of it. At the end of our meal he surprised us with a cake with a candle and it filled not just my stomach but my soul. If i could 10/10

Amazing food and a MUCH needed Hibachi experience in Endicott! Menu was huge. I'm a vegetarian and there are options for me here - they even made sure to cook the vegetables & tofu before the meat was on the grill. Everything was fresh and tasted great. Great service, great hibachi show, & great hospitality. Really nice, new, & clean place as well. The host / owner even shook our hands when we walked in and thanked us for giving them our business. We will definitely be coming back here :)

Just enjoyed hibachi with a group of 10. The food was so good, the waiter was accommodating and friendly. The chef was so fun and even handed out a birthday crown for the birthday girl and made balloon swords for the kids. Both the chef and waiter sand happy birthday and we celebrated with a candle and yummy friends ice cream. Well definitely be back!!

I just ate dinner at Arashiyama and it was delicious! It was a Saturday night, so it was packed, but we were seated immediately and received our food very quickly. The Mount Fuji roll was amazing, I highly recommend it. We will 100% be going back soon!

Had my daughter’s 13th birthday dinner here with some family and friends, and the food and service was fantastic. I want thank the staff for their hospitality and patience with the part of 20 which included two toddlers and the staff handle us with such grace. And the restaurant looks great. I can’t wait to go back again!! The birthday performance from host was top notch.

I’d stopped in a couple of weeks ago to pick up a gift certificate and was wowed by what they had done to the place. The Christmas decorations were tasteful and lovely. Your overall impression is “Are we really on Washington Avenue in Endicott?” This restaurant is big city worthy! Just stunning. We decided to order off the regular lunch menu versus hibachi for our first visit. The servers were delightful and helpful. The hot green tea hit the spot on this rainy, dreary day. Two of us ordered udon noodles with chicken, shrimp, and vegetables. My other friend ordered shrimp and vegetable tempura that came with soup. I also treated myself to tuna sashimi for an appetizer. Everything was delicious, plentiful, and spot on. I picked up two more gift cards for friends Christmas gifts. I know they will love Arashiyama too. Next time we’re going to try the hibachi. It looked fabulous. I’m so happy this place opened and I hope they are extremely successful. They deserve it.

It was a great time, good food and drinks! I love how they put strangers together around the hibachi. I hope your table mates are friendly, ours was cool. I gave 4 stars for service due to our waitress not relaying to our hibachi chef that there was a food allergy at the table. Everything was fine. We caught it in time, but the possibilities if we didn't. All in all, I absolutely recommend this restaurant!!

The staff are some of the most friendly, the service is always amazing, and the food always tastes great while never taking too long to come out once ordered. We've been go in the evenings on the weekends because of how nice and quiet it can be. Makes for a great night out. Admittedly, we have not tried the hibachi yet but will be back soon! Absolutley loved our experience. We had a party of 3, made a reservation for sushi , upon arrival we were greeted immediately .. we chose to sit at the sushi bar .. the waitress did come over quite quickly, but Some Things did take some extra time (we didn’t mind and told them no rush at all). the staff was so nice and apologized a few times and mentioned they didn’t expect It to be so busy so they are under staffed for sure. EVEN so , our food came out very timely , the sake was hot, the support staff filled our waters as soon as they were low. The sashimi was extremely fresh and delicious . We ordered a TON of sushi/sashimi/appetizers and drinks and our bill was under 200. So prices are great: There is no comparison to our loved other sushi/ hibachi which we absolutely love. This place is its own beautiful establishment! Absolutely stunning. We did not feel like we were in endicott ! I love that they gave hot towels to start, and that there are 3 different areas - a cocktail area, a hibachi area and a whole seperate room for sushi experience . If I had any critique.. I would add another zone at the sushi counter for a sushi chef service . The chef did offer but they were very busy so we said no problem We would wait !!! The whole experience lasted about an hour (too full for dessert) We will definitely be back !

We went for our anniversary, ordered shrimp shumai (6 pieces) , chef's choice sushi appetizer (this was 5 pieces of nigiri), the ocean wave roll (LG 8 piece dinner), and filet/scallop hibachi dinner. We ate in the dining room, not at the hibachi table. Amazing!

I visited at noon today. I ordered sushi, ramen, and tempura. I'm Japanese, so the hurdle for sushi is high. I've eaten it thousands of times so far. The sushi here was so high that even I felt that it was delicious. I'm really satisfied.

Our server kip was amazing as usual. Me and my wife have had him before at another restaurant we frequented so it was nice to see a friendly face who knows how to treat a customer. The food was so delicious and our Hibachi chef was delightful and funny. This restaurant is a welcome addition to Endicott NY

I just went here with my family for my birthday and it was hands down the best dining experience I’ve had in years. The staff was friendly, the food was great, and entire restaurant was spotless. You can tell they really pay attention to all the details. My favorite part aside from the food was that I could have a conversation without having to raise my voice at all due to the design of the dining room, which is not a common occurrence. We’re already making plans to go back and try the hibachi, this spot might be our new go to restaurant!

This is a fantastic place to eat. The atmosphere is classy. Food is great. Staff are truly wonderful people. My husband and I had sake, Japanese whiskey, appetizer, and entree. The cost for everything we had was very reasonable. Arashiyama is our favorite place to go on our dates!

This was a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. They have the hibachi grills available for lunch at a very reasonable lunch price with generous portions. I only wish I had stopped by sooner than this. It will certainly be our go to place from now on.

This IS the place for an affordable and absolutely unforgettable fine dining experience! Perfect for family fun and even date nights. They got a more private room with a candle lit ambiance and a hibachi room for fun experiences so you can choose your own experience. Impeccable food, service, and environment. You must try the beef negimaki as an appetizer and the Super Dragon sushi roll. Also, their hibachi just cannot be beat. I have yet to find another hibachi restaurant that offers better hibachi and I am well traveled. I usually get the filet mignon and scallops and they cook it PERFECTLY. Scallops are hard to cook but they can make them literally melt in my mouth every.single.time. without fail. Most of all is their genuinely perfect service and hospitality. They also accommodate for individuals with gluten allergies and allergies of many sorts. Its just so good! You'll see for yourself!

Wow! This is my favorite new restaurant. I heard the radio ad on Cool, was doing some Christmas shopping in the area so we decided to give it a try. As soon as I walked in, I was taken back by the atmosphere - very relaxing. We sat in the dining room but the hibachi area looked so nice, without the large grill area the other place has; these tables are pleasing to the eye and more private. Very nice! Our waitress was amazing and the attention to detail around us was well noted. The food is some of THE Best Japanese cuisine I’ve had. Delicious! Portion and prices were good too. We shared a nice bottle of Salmon Run Riesling. An impressive wine list. Having a real rose and candle at the table was a very nice touch. We felt very welcomed and can’t wait to go back with more friends. We even picked up a gift card to give a good friend who we think would love this place. An outstanding find. Thanks for a perfect unplanned evening out. Next time, we are going to enjoy some sushi.

The hibachi is awesome but the sushi is definitely top notch in the area. So consistently fresh and high quality. Also we ate sushi to go people a lot and the presentation is unmatched along with the sushi combo prices. By far the best to go sushi presentation in the area. They don’t cram it into little containers instead put it in a big round serving tray suitable to bring to any party as well. Their attention to detail and commitment to hospitality did not go unnoticed and truly elevated the entire experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. We went here to celebrate after hearing good reviews from others. They were all correct, this place is phenomenal. Angie, our server, was kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. Both the food and atmosphere were above expectations. We had sushi, but next time we will come for hibachi. Highly recommended.

If i could give this place more stars, i would. I went there with my brother on our birthday and was not disappointed. It's hard to imagine when you are there that you're in New york behind a Wendy's. The food's taste and preparation were out of this world, and i savored every bite. The staff was amazing and celebrated our birthday. It was the most touching thing i had in a long time to the point i almost wanted to cry tears of joy. It was worth every penny. I highly recommend this place to anyone reading this review, and i will talk highly of this experience for a very long time. I left like my soul was taken care of. The only thing bad about it was leaving and realizing you're still in New york.

My boyfriend and I went here for the first time today after we heard it had opened. We both love hibachi and have tried many different spots while on vacations. This place is so good and so close to home! The service was amazing, the chef was great, and the food was phenomenal. The (presumably) owner was super nice, shook our hands, opened the door for us, and came around to ask how our meal was. The pictures don’t do the portions justice (plus we had already picked). I got the steak and chicken combo and it was like $28. They give you noodles and rice without an upcharge which is really nice (plus the soup and salad and the sake and 2 shrimp on the house). My boyfriend got the tofu and they kept it completely separate from the meat and cooked it first, which was really nice. We will definitely be coming here again!!!

Wow!! This dining experience was such a delight. The atmosphere was very calm, well-lit but not over-lit, the interior design is beautiful, the seating felt comfortable and spacious, the service was wonderful, the wait staff were attentive and there for any questions we’d had, and were so professional and friendly. The sushi rolls were excellent, and extremely fair-priced for the quality of ingredients - there was no question of authenticity. The appetizers were fresh and hot, the plates were beautifully set, even the drinking water was amazing 😆 They have a relatively large and inclusive menu, they had at least 4 vegetable roll options, and a bunch of vegetarian and turf-bound dishes. I’d go back here again and again, I am hoping for their continued and growing success! It’s so nice to have this space in the area, please give them a try!!

11/2024 - We stopped for dinner and I was pleasantly surprised... Everything was great. The place is clean and has a nice open feel. Wait staff was great. Food was excellent (not overly salty like the other habachi place in the area). I wasn't super excited about their drink selection (from the bar), but that's just me. I would come again!

Food was surprisingly bland and expensive. It was an entertaining time to have the chefs prepare your meals and a very special fun birthday celebration was had. We were a large party & everyone got the correct bills. Service was good. It's not someplace I'd go again by myself but I can see the draw for a special event.

First time dinning here and definitely will not be our last. Made reservations for new years eve. we had regular dinning as it was just the two of us. we enjoyed our food and drinks. we started off with the calamari which was cooked perfectly. we both ordered seafood pankcake. It looks like a personal size pizza. It was very good. The blue Hawaiian martini & sparkling saki were tasty also. only down fall was the time spent, I would guess it was due to it being new years eve? our reservation was for 6:30pm and we didn't leave until almost 8:30pm. we will be back to try more delicious food soon!

Hibachi was very good. The rice was awesome and portions were enough that we all brought home leftovers. My real complaint, and this goes for most hibachi. I've tried, is after they serve you the food they clean the flat top pretty aggressively and water splashes all around. I watched quite a bit land on the table right next to my plate. Other than that everything was awesome. Service was great. Food tasted good. No complaints

The restaurant was very nice and the waitress was great. We didn't care for the food. It was our first time at a Japanese Restaurant. The food was prepared very well, but it didn't appeal to us. We're going back to our favorite Chinese restaurants.

I’ve been here four times each time is less than before. We go to hibachi for the experience and the food. Absolutely no entertainment. food was all wrong.

I have been to this restaurant twice before this experience and have had the same server, he is wonderful no matter how busy the restaurant is. Today, we had a horrific experience. I am a server myself, I have an understanding of when a restaurant is busy & to be patient with servers & staff. I made reservations for 7:30 (we arrived 5 minutes prior). We were not acknowledged or greeted by any staff members until about 7:45. We were not seated until 8:00. It took 25 minutes to get drinks ordered and another 15-20 minutes to get drinks to the table most of which were waters. At one point, I offered to grab a piece of paper to write down everyone’s drink orders. At about 8:50 I lost my patience. We have not put our food orders in at this time. I found a piece of paper & pen and began taking my groups order so it was ready for the server. On the hibachi side, we were the only table she was servicing so it was a bit frustrating. The other two servers serviced tables who got there after us quickly & efficiently. I had the time to observe them providing drinks, taking orders, refilling waters, collecting finished soup & salad bowls. They were doing a fantastic job! My father is extremely allergic to shellfish. We understand it is hard to completely avoid cross contamination. All we asked for was for the raw shrimp to be on a separate plate, and cooked last. This would avoid any potential of the cooking utensils, vegetables, rice and other meats from being contaminated. Unfortunately the shrimp was touching the chicken & steak because it was on the same plate. After about 10 minutes of explaining how severe allergies can be, they cooked my father’s food in the back.

I recently dined in yesterday with my husband and baby girl who’s 4months old. When we first got there the host first was hesitant to seat us for some reason which was weird. When we finally got seated the server took our drink orders and food orders. After a little while my daughter started getting fussy and crying. I immediately felt anxious because every single staff started to stare at us with a rude expression like my daughter crying was an issue. After that every single staff started coming to my table one by one asking if we were ok if we needed boxes and check. It was like every 3 minutes. They have never done that before as we are frequent customers. I tried not to think too much of it until today they posted about a dress code. My husband were in t shirts, shorts and sandals. Now our attire was a problem as well? And the host kept staring at us making us really uncomfortable and kept staring at my baby Judy weirdly. Too bad because we really like the food. But we won’t be back after that.

I arrived at 630pm 3/22 for a birthday dinner reservation. My tables were not ready I wanted 35 minutes to be finally seated. Then it took forever for the waitress to come to drink orders and then none of the drinks arrived with ice even though she claimed she put ice in the drinks maybe a few ice cubes but definitely not enough to keep the drinks cold. The salad and the soups that come with the hibachi was super delayed. The cooks had no type of interaction with the guests. The food presentation was very sloppy and rushed . I waited for over an hour for my sushi. This was my first time visiting here and will be my last. The other tables had more experience waitresses and cooks. Definitely will returning back to Kampi .

I've been here on 2 occasions. The first time, I came here for sushi with my husband. We had a nice time and the food was delicious. The second time was today. I'm so bummed about the experience we had! I'm not ever one to complain, but this experience was so bad that I have to say something. I came in with my daughter for the hibachi side and the hostess immediately thought it was appropriate to put hands on my daughter to guide her to the table. This made me very uncomfortable. The server was also observed making eyes at my daughter in a way that made us feel uncomfortable during order taking, the initial soup and salad stage and throughout the meal. My, normally very extroverted, daughter felt uncomfortable being watched as we were during our visit. Then the cook refused to offer us additional sauce and I had to ask multiple times for him to provide this. Finally he did as he was walking away. At the end of the meal, the server misunderstood/misheard or didn't want to provide us with the extra sauce we requested and were more than happy to pay for. It took us 4 separate tries to try to get this right. Ultimately we went home with a totally different sauce. Then, the restaurant seemed to have trouble accepting payment via gift card. A card I know works. Finally, on our way out - the hostess was observed eyeing down my daughter again. All in all, this was a very unpleasant experience from start to finish, in all of the different ways a dining experience could be unpleasant. We won't be coming back.

Our service was the absolute worst. I made a reservation over 5 months ago to go to this place after our son's graduation. We arrived on time and wait another 15 minutes. Once seating someone took our drink order and then nothing happened. They never came back we had to remind our waiter that our beverages never came. Our order was taken and then nothing. Other groups were seated after us and immediately got beverages and food and left before our hibachi experience event started. We had to go to the bar for drinks and lodged several complaints. Our waiter moved on to other tables and when he saw me at the bar (ordering more drinks) instead of telling me he would bring out drinks our to our table he just wanted to know what we were ordering so he could charge us. We received no discount. The food was average and very pricey. For 5 people it was over $250.00. We were told he was a new waiter. No excuse give him some help.
