Came from SC. First time in Birmingham and we walked in here to eat. OMG!!!! The food was sooooo good! You can definitely tell it was made with love plus seasoned to perfection. The staff was so very friendly. And the owner was very humble and appreciative of our compliments. And the best part…cherry kool-aid !!! Love love love this place !

The waitress Thelma always provides the best service ever. She always checks to make sure we have everything we need, if everything is ok, and that our cups are filled with whatever we're drinking. Awesome job Thelma! The food is not always seasoned. Tastes just like they poured it right out of a can and warmed it up. If they would just take time to season the food right would do great justice to the business.

My husband and I were disappointed. This is not what soul food is supposed to taste like; food was bland. And please season that mac and cheese!! The food has no soul/flavor. Banana pudding is not sweet. Menu selection, customer service, and prices are good.

Customer service was good & the atmosphere was amazing. The food was a no. The orders was dressing, macaroni & cheese, chicken and banana pudding. Each person in my household including myself, ordered something different off of the menu and it was all equally terrible from the sides to the main entry. I have been looking forward to trying this restaurant for along time. I was extremely disappointed.

I stopped in to grab me lunch on my way into work today. The customer service was completely unacceptable. In which I’m shocked being this was the first soul food I’ve ate at when I moved here. Never received such terrible service before to the point it felt like she didn’t want to wait on me my questions were annoying her, her whole demeanor was as if I was bother. Finally, I told her I didn’t want the food cause her attitude was nasty. You are frontline for this establishment you give the first impression after a person enters the doors. I’ll rather go eat a dog bone before I gave them my money today. Hopefully, management sees this & address her attitude along with customer service skills.

This place and people are old enough to know better than to charge these prices and serve straight canned hard in cooked pintos, black eyes, straight from the can..It's was a shame and embarrassing, in our area, with no bell pepper, onions, garlic, to season the food, the corn bread hard as a brick, dry no taste.👎

So me and my girl walked in folks was staring at us so we got to food station they ain’t have nun we ain’t want to wait 7mins drops on sum so we order 2 plates turkey wings yams Mac green beans it was so nasty the meat ain’t have no seasoning the red velvet cake didn’t have no flavor I’m very disappointed 31$ gone I should’ve went somewhere else

I am really sad I feel like crying. YAMS ARE HORRIBLE no flavor or love no cinnamon no sugar no nothing. Just straight out the can. GREENS are watery with no flavor, looks like spinach. BAKED CHICKEN looks rotten. I will not be coming back.

Magic city grill in Fairfield, all I can say is save your money ! The worst food I’ve ever had. The macaroni and cheese was nasty. The greens look like mushed up garbage pork chop even nasty who makes nasty yams. And all the food was salty !Save your money. Do not eat there. I promise you won’t regret it.

I moved from PA to AL & I never thought the food would be my issue. I saw the pictures & reviews for this restaurant & thought I was finally going to get some cooking like I’m used to…WRONG! 🤦🏾‍♀️ On every single level it was wrong. Not 1 thing that I ordered taste good. I’m beyond disappointed.
