Mirada Restaurant Fountain Valley Reviews
They have the best Canh Chu Ca! Really really. My family has been going for years. We crave it. When we tried to go on a Tuesday and they were closed we went elsewhere but it just wasn't as good. Mirada cooks the fish so that it is still so succulent. The flavor of the broth is perfectly balanced and tart. Please give this place a try for healthy Vietnamese food.
You cannot tell this is a Vietnamese restaurant by reading its name. And surprisingly it has much better quality than many other places. Foods were well-seasoned and tasted like some old good restaurants in Vietnam in the 90s. Staffs are really friendly. Highly recommended
I dined in on the $11 for #23 flat noodles with seafood. I also got to-go $12 for #86 braised pork belly. Both items remind me of homecooking, comfort foods. Great value.
Family style pure comfort Vietnamese food. Made with love and obvious skill. The Goi Rau Muong Che - morning glory (Ong Choy) salad with beef is finger licking good. We had to order another serving in our party of 6. The pork riblets, pork belly, deep fried tilapia are all also outstanding. The perfect balance of sweet, salty, sour in all my favorite dishes. The ingredients are simple so that the California quality produce can really sing... This is Vietnamese food at its absolute best. Sharing this meal with friends has felt like I'm closer to heaven on earth.
So delicious and season well asian food !! Small local place with authentic food !! One of the best I ever try

I’ve been dining here for 20 years, and I plan to for another 20 (or hopefully more). Their food is Vietnamese comfort home cooking. They have the purple yam soup which isn’t widely available at other establishments. You gotta eat it like us Viets do, which is rice-in-soup. Other dishes I like here are the Ong choy salad with beef, the sweet and sour soup (canh chua), fried fish in the salty curry seasoning, and garlic pea sprouts! I’ve been craving the pea sprouts but noticed not a lot of the Chinese restaurants have it on the menu anymore yet sure enough this place still does. Good ole Mirada. I have to keep supporting this place because I’d be so sad if they close down. Also the free taro che dessert they gave us was delish! My friends 80-something year old parents like this place along with my mom and some other relatives, that’s gotta say something about their food because you know how picky these Viet OGs are. They have a credit card minimum like $25 I think so bring CASH.
My family and I LOVE this place!! We’ve been coming here for as long as I can remember… honestly one of the best places for family style authentic viet food!!! Hope they stay in business for a long time ! I love their tom yum soup and their muc xao sa ot!
Very good authentic Vietnamese food family style. Some dishes we liked were the hot and sour soup with cat fish, stir fried water spinach with garlic and crispy fried fish. The drinks here were good too.
Very authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Delicious food. Recommendations: ca kho to (catfish), purple yam soup, and mam. I come here for the food, not the atmosphere or service.
Most home style authentic Vietnamese food my wife has had at a resteraunt since she left Vietnam. I thought it was outstanding. We will be back soon.
This server, Vietnam and Thailand foods. Good prices, and good lunch or dinner.

This is an OG spot but under new management. Came back and tried it after the old owners to see if it came back to life. It’s actually better than what the old owners left it to be. It has some hit and miss dishes.
Food was pretty good, I would come here again.
This is another restaurant with good food but bad service and you have to pay attention to your bill to make sure that they add up right!

Ordered canh chua and ca kho. These two dishes go hand in hand and are usually ordered together. They brought us the canh chua but gave our ca kho to a different table. Said they didn’t have anymore and we would have to wait 15 minutes for them to make it. They said they didn’t give it to us because the ca kho was fatty and we wouldn’t like it…we were never given the choice. Bad service. Food we did get was ok overall. Canh chua tasted watered down. Bo luc lac and fried tofu were good though so bumped up to 3 stars for food only.

This restaurant use to be so good. Lately it’s not the case. It hit and miss depending on the day cause it’s not consistent. The hot and sour catfish can be bland at time and the fish portion seem less. The caramelize catfish is really good but the slice is cut thinner. I know cause I eat the same things on the menu. Also service here is okay but not great.
I'm annoyed with the obscure practice of charging for rice per person, INCLUDING a toddler, for a family style combo meal where the portions are already significantly SMALLER than a la carte. Better food elsewhere with more transparent and reasonable pricing. Won't be back.

This restaurant smells heavily of cleaning chemicals and they would not open the door and they would not let us sit closer to the door even though there was few people. Will not come back
