I like The Irishman bar. I remember drinking here back in 2016 while visiting Huntington Beach. This past April was the first time back since then. It seems like I always meet some friendly people at this place. While the capacity of the building is quite small, the atmosphere is very electric. The place is decorated with cool lights and there is even outdoor seating. The service is good too. All of the waitresses that I met, Jessica, Sarah, and Andria, were very friendly and personable. Don't forget to grab some popcorn as well. Overall, this is a chill little Irish bar with good vibes and friendly people.

Cheeky Irish pub on the corner. Had an early couple of Guinness. Clean, welcoming and really pleasantly surprised. Will definitely go back and the menu looks legit. Look forward to some good wholesome Irish food next time.. .great Irish hospitality in gorgeous Huntington Beach. Thank you Andrea!

Nice little bar on the corner of 5th and Olive in Huntington Beach. Very popular for St. Patrick’s Day which is why I came in early. Bartenders were nice and pleasant. The food isn’t served until after 2:30. I came hungry oops 🙊 They have Karaoke on Saturdays at 8pm. The more I sit inside here the more I like it. Sláinte! 🍻 🌊🏄🏄‍♂️🏄‍♀️☘️

A friend of mine and I went to The Irishman last Saturday afternoon for the first time and what a great time we had! It felt good to get out and enjoy a lovely pint of Guinness since the pandemic. Our bartender Sarah was awesome! Not only is she stunningly beautiful she knows her stuff! Everyone had smiles on their faces. I'm looking forward to going back again real soon, this time it'll be a Guinness and a shepherds pie to have! Try it out people it's a good time and great people!

Small pub with about 30 people capacity. The place felt really Irish. The bartender had a great accent. The place was filled with Irish looking people. That's why I gave it 5 stars. I had a black and tan, and a Shepherds pie. The shepherds pie was pathetic. It was 4 to 6 oz of mash potatoes and gravy maybe 2 peas and a slice of carrot.

Friendly bar tenders. A little bit of Ireland in HB. I didn't eat, but I hear they have meat pies.

The Irishman Bar in Huntington Beach delivered an electric karaoke night, the kind that makes you forget your dignity and reach for the mic like it’s the last tequila shot on Earth. But let’s be clear—there was one true star of the night, and her name is Heather. Heather didn’t just sing—she owned the stage like she was born on it, probably with a rhinestone mic in one hand and a fan club already assembled. Her performance was magnetic, confident, and wildly entertaining. Whether she was channeling Dolly Parton or belting out 80s power ballads, Heather lit up the place like a human disco ball. People stopped mid-conversation. Drinks were put down. Even the bartender gave a slow, reverent nod. But… and it’s a meaningful “but”—the karaoke jockey needs a serious tune-up. We’re talking missed cues, awkward silence between songs, and a complete lack of hype energy. It’s like they were running on airplane mode. In a room fueled by musical chaos and enthusiastic amateurs, you need a host who keeps the momentum going, not one who’s out here doing their taxes between tracks. Just maybe bring your own playlist—because the KJ not only struggles with the sound system but also has a curious habit of skipping people who’ve been patiently waiting their turn.

This place is really cool, and the meat pies were delicious. The bartender, who was new and lovely, accidentally poured me a Smithwick’s in a large glass—quite a fun mix-up! Thanks to the owner for being so welcoming to us out-of-towners. Looking forward to the next visit! 🍻

Cool Vibe, lighting, and waitress. Pie was good, Hot Toddy, and Guinness. Will go back. Quiet, no music when I went, just socializing. Free popcorn.

Great real Irish bar. Good Guiness pour. Also had a tasty Jameson and Ginger

Great little pub slightly off Main Street. Definitely more locals than tourists. Staff is always friendly, and it's hard to go wrong with Guiness.

Nice, small & chill pub. Great ambiance. Respectable patrons. The servers are kind and know our drinks without asking [especially Mike (female)] and Sarah moving us to a better table. The fireplace and popcorn are a hospitable touch. Just had the best St. Patrick's Day ever this year there.

The best Irish bar in the town. I've been to Ireland many times. When I come to this bar, it feels like I'm back in Ireland - the Whiskey the atmosphere and especially when you taste the Guinness - Delicious 😋 Go to Ireland for a few and come to The Irishman in the HB!!!!

Update: yeah, still one of the few spots if you want a half-decent Guinness. Glad it's still running strong. This is the first time I've enjoyed a Guinness, and believe me, I've tried damn near every bar and can. Toss in great whiskey, and you have a solid hole-in-the-wall place.

As close to Main St as this bar is in Downtown HB, it definitely escapes the downtown HB feel... which is a good thing IMHO. Relatively small and very quaint, this bar has great bartenters, classic atmosphere and not what you'd expect as far as HB locals would have you. Cheers!

It was okay. Really small place. Ordered the steak pie. It tasted alright but was ice cold in the middle and the bartender never came back it was reflected in the tip with a note about it. UPDATE:. Before leaving the bartender saw my note on the receipt and apologized. She offered me a drink, but I don't drink so she brought a gift card to me to make up for my disappointing meal.

The Irishman is a great little corner bar to grab a beer or a cocktail with some old friends. They play Irish music, which adds to the fun, cozy atmosphere, and the bartenders and waitstaff are very friendly. I typically order mixed drinks—they’re decent and well-made. The location downtown is convenient, making it an easy spot to stop by for a casual drink or catch up with friends.
