The outside looked a little run down, but I heard such great things I gave it a try. It was very clean and the food was great! They had a roast pork with mashed potatoes and gravy that was delicious, it was a large portion for 5 dollars! Great place

I was in Gloversville on business, and got into a conversation with a woman discussing the best lunch hot-spots around. I was referred to Whitie's in Johnstown. I got instant service when I ordered a large Italian Mix sub at the counter.. no wait time, even at Noon on a weekday! Sub was absolutely great with loads of meat, and bread roll was excellent as well. 5 stars all day.. kudos to owners/staff- I will definitely return next time I'm even remotely in the area!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Got a lg Italian sub; this thing was massive; could've fed two or three easily. My wife's chef salad was heaped high with meat. Unassuming place, but great food.

I've never been here before, but stopped through for EMT class down the road. Buns are delicious. Meat portions are like what they used to be 10 years ago. Stuffed! Love this place. Will be coming back.

I have been getting subs here for many years and they are always good and the value always seems great because of the amount of meat on each sub. Turkey subs are my favorite and I always liked their sub because of the quality of meat used as it always seemed like fresh turkey. However todays sub was made with water based low quality turkey. Maybe they ran out of the good stuff and I will give them another try. If it comes down to less meat and better quality I am in. 12/12/2023 update. We just bought a Turkey sub and the quality meat and taste is back. The value is incredible as well. Go get one and tell them, “some Guy sent you.”

My Co workers and I go to Whitey's for lunch frequently. We always get quality food and a lot of it. Everything on the menu I have ordered has been phenomenal. You definitely get what you pay for here. Unique chip selection is very appreciated as well. The salads always taste fresh and are a great addition to almost anything on the menu. We always love the daily specials they post on Facebook! I have never had to wait long for anything. The staff and even the other clientele are always very welcoming and friendly. 5 stars keep up the good work guys!!

Great little convenient store. Amazing deli, I recommend the subs, hot or cold, they use a good amount of meats and toppings on every sub. And only about $7 for a large sub. Also have a variety of sides. Friendly staff, decent parking and picnic tables.

This place is beyond Amazing, they have a little bit of everything. From a quick sub, or homemade salad, to catering your next get together. They also offer a variety of mixed meat packs which we all know are a great deal. There's a huge selection of beverages in their large cooler section, and many basic grocery and household ideas in stock. To top all those great features off, I can't forget to mention the staff. They are so friendly and helpful, always pleased and that will always keep me coming! Highly recommend!

I’ve known Steve my entire life and a good man and family man! Rated one star below excellent only because I was craving a sub and looked up hours of business and stated it was open until 8 on 10/31/25 and I went around 6ish and they were closed. Killed my vibe at the moment but then I had to think outside of the box and knew it was a holiday and maybe hours changed, would be nice to update site of hour of service if closing earlier. Otherwise an awesome place and highly recommended for subs! Hope to see you soon Whitey! 😊

Good sandwiches, but expired drinks in fridge... Used to be great. Not going back.

They dont have many groceries but they do have an excellent deli. When you buy a sub there will be plenty left over because tjeu load them up and there's lots of bread on the roll.

The prices are high for a small town deli. Food has always been great tho. Downside is you are almost never in and out fast.

it really has a weird feel to it,. aside frim the deili, there are 1500 different drink optiins but not much else.

Good quality deli. Not a great coffee machine so get your coffee someplace else. Inside seating was also limited so takeout is reccomended. We got salad platters there for a reception and everyone raved about them.

Place is filthy. Had I seen how dirty the kitchen was before I ordered, I probably would have just walked out.

Food is amazing only issue I have is the site says open and they hardly ever are. Really disappointing

Asked for ham cheese lettuce tomato and oil. Ate 1/2 my sub and it had about 10 shreds of lettuce and a tomato cut in half. Very disappointed for the price. Do t think I will be back.

Ordered a Turkey with swiss lto and Russian dressing. Got stringy and fatty roast beef swimming in Russian. The wrapper exploded Russian dressing over everything. Bad enough I don't eat raw beef but i had to wash my sub to handle it. Never like their bread much anyways so I wont be going back and would not recommend. I'll travel to Fulton Street Deli next time.

WAS incredible but now it's a 30 minute wait for two breakfast sandwiches and the bacon is literally raw, I go in to say something and no offer to correct the issue after I brought it to their attention, sadly whiteys went down the tube, GO TO STEWARTS ITS NOT GOING TO BE $18 FOR 2 SANDWICHES AND 2 DRINKS, THE FOOD WILL BE COOKED!
