The service is always so fast and so friendly. Great salsa, cheese dip, food, desserts, and drinks! We love to eat here!!
The queso was so good I would drink it if I could. Ordered a grilled chicken burrito and it was super yum, just what I was craving. Saw lots of people enjoying beautiful margaritas, did not try but they looked popular! Atmosphere was super fun and friendly, plus outdoor seating on balcony is available and that would be excellent on a nice day.
I like the lady that serves me and my mom all the time, she's a joy to have around and she k ows exactly what I want! I recommend the lady with a bun sometimes that has colored hair at the moment! I love her, she reminds me of my grandma gabby and I love her it feel like home, the cheese dip is different every time, sometimes it's watery or thick, but it still is good food so I don't mind, great experience! Fully recommended for my birthday!!!!
My favorite Mexican restaurant in central Arkansas. Attentive, speedy service. Great cheese dip, entrees, and desserts all at affordable prices.
Had such a good dinner last night that I wanted to give this place a 5 star review. Food (carne asada tacos and shrimp quesadilla) was awesome, service was quick, and the balcony patio is always relaxing. Little bit of a hidden gem in West Little Rock.
Enjoyed an evening dinner with my mother. The ambience, food, and service were exceptional. Our waitress was very pleasant and friendly. The Chenal Parkway location was wonderful and there was adequate parking. I noticed that they also have a patio with fans, so when the weather cools, that would be a very nice seating area. I will definitely return to this location!
good food and great value. I had the Molcajette bowl and was very impressed. I actually sent a pic of it to a good friend in mexico city and he responded that it looked authentic (so will give you bonus points for that). Personally i would like it if they expanded the selection of wines, but thats the closest ti can come up with as a negative. Just to clarify they do have wine and i think we had a cab or a red blend that was perfectly fine for what it was.
Welcoming, friendly yet professional service from start to finish. They know their business and do it well. I like that it has a more authentic Mexican feel than some others around Little Rock…but the lacking star is because I’m all about ambiance and that place has the potential to absolutely ooze with Mexican charm. The food we’ve had was very good, tasty, quality ingredients and not soaked in grease, thank you. The housemade guacamole is absolutely worth it.
For a place that is 1/4 mile from me, was surprised to find it! We ordered drinks and the fresh made Guacamole. Both were great! I recommend the guacamole! It came out quickly and just had great flavor. The food and service were both good too.
Last week I ate here and had their steak nachos with a side of guacamole. Everything was good and they gave me a big portion of nachos. My only complaint regarding food is the nachos were a bit drippy, probably from the steak or veggies. It just means the bottom layer of chips will get soft pretty quickly and you'll have to use a fork. The service was NOT good. I had to repeat my order to the server cuz he was spacing out a bit. But the main problem came when he brought the check. He dropped off 2 different checks with different amounts. He didn't say anything, just put it on the table and left. I went up to the front to ask about this and he said he accidentally charged another table's food to my card, canceled that transaction, then charged my food to the card. It had already shown up on my bank statement as pending but did come off after 2 days. First off, he needs to be more careful. Secondly, he should have explained the mishap to me when he gave me the checks. Just poor service imo.
Good food - worth a visit. TL:DR Fairly typical Mexican food, with a few pleasant surprises. Salsa was a bit of a let down, but everything else was very good. Details: Stopped by on Super Bowl Sunday for dinner. Service was quick and friendly, and the place is nice and clean. The salsa was a bit disappointing - tasted almost like a marinara sauce rather than a true salsa. I ordered the pollo encreamado. It was delicious - great flavor, very rich and filling. A LARGE serving too. Enough for two meals! Doesn't top my list because of the salsa, but definitely worth a visit.
We decided at the last minute to stop here for dinner. Immediately your eyes are drawn to the decor. Vibrant colors with a lot of wood accents. Once seated we immediately were served chips and salsa but no water. The salsa did taste fresh and had good flavor. The chips were a little more brown than normal but we continued on munching on them. We ordered two margaritas, one frozen and one on the rocks, Nice flavor and the right amount of tequila. My husband ordered the beef tacos and I ordered the crispy chicken burrito plus we ordered the guacamole for our appetizer. I'm not sure but the guacamole didn't have that homemade taste. It was a little too creamy with just a hint of avocado taste which was served with yet more brown crispy chips. The beef tacos were flavorless. Not a hint of spice but covered with cilantro and the crispy chicken burrito tasted as if it was fried in old oil. Not something you expected at all. Oh well we tried. On to the next
I ordered a taco salad and when I received my meal it was swimming in a plate of grease. A normal beef taco salad usually consists of a taco shell bowl (not a soggy bottom taco bowl shell), beef, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, & shredded cheese. Here you get a soggy shell bottom floating in grease, beef that fills up about ¾ of the taco shell bowl, a very small sprinkle of very finely shredded cheese, a pinch of shredded lettuce, & a good dollop of sour cream, and MAYBE 2 diced pieces of tomatoes. Absolutely zero flavor. I stopped eating afraid I was going to get sick. Our waiter was RUDE. He came to take our order and my grandmother was in the middle of explaining what she wanted but couldn't because she noticed he was not paying any kind of attention to her. He had his head turned toward another table and was listening to whatever their waiter was talking about to them. He then just leaves our table without ever excusing himself and inserts himself into the other table/waiters business (he definitely was not any kind of manager, I checked) after he finished being nosy he comes back and takes our order. My grandmother orders a beer small draft. Later she ordered one more but this time he brings her small draft beer in a half full mug and says that they ran out of small draft glasses. When we left my grandmother went to the bathroom and I walked out to the car and I started feeling sick, my stomach started cramping to the point where I was doubled over, and I became extremely dizzy and had to sit down on the curb before I could even reach our vehicle which wasn't even 40 yards from the door. Absolutely a disaster, possibly hazardous, and waste of money.
Ordered to-go this evening: Food tastes good but I’m a bit curious about value for price. I got a veggie burrito which is $10. Doesn’t come with rice and beans which if the burrito is big enough, that would make sense. You can see it’s size below. The guac size is also pretty small for a “large” so I went back in asked if that indeed was the right size. Funniest part... when I got home and saw that the Brito comes without rice and beans I called to double check on that. The employee told me that according to their boss, “Vegetarian is more expensive.” 🤷🏻♂️ Edit: the guac and salsa aren’t really great actually, now that I’ve tried it :( and I usually am easy to please when I’m this hungry 😢😂
Ordered food to go. It was freezing cold. Also had to pay for salsa. I’ll keep going to Senor tequila where the food is hot and salsa is free.
We were very disappointed with our recent visit. This used to be one of our favorite Mexican restaurants, but sadly, the quality has gone down a lot. The salsa with chips tasted like plain tomato sauce straight from a can poured into a bowl. We ordered cheese dip, and it was served cold with unmelted clumps of cheese. We had to ask for it to be reheated. We also ordered two carne asadas. Both were very disappointing. The carne asada was overcooked and too crunchy, and the carnitas pork was served cold. The rice didn’t taste fresh, almost like it wasn’t cooked the same day. We mentioned these issues to our waitress. She was very polite and explained that some of the regular cooks were off that day and a new cook was filling in. We understand that staff need time off, but we assumed there would be consistent recipes and standards for each dish. This experience was far from what we expected, and it left us very disappointed. I truly hope the restaurant updates its recipes and focuses on maintaining the quality that made it a favorite in the first place.
