I had an amazing experience at this dentist. The cleaning and x-rays were very thorough. When my insurance refused to pay as promised, Jasmine in billing negotiated my cash pay down to a reasonable rate. I was so lucky to find this place. They are quick as well and do not overbook patients. Thank you La Maestra.
It's pretty sad to see all the bad reviews, but I haven't had any issues as of yet. I am happy to give a 5 star rating. I don't know if the mobile clinic serves everyone but they've been awesome with me.
I love my primary doctor and the Wellness clinic. My mental and physical needs are always addressed and all of my questions and concerns are taken in to consideration which is very hard to find.

Very friendly. The nurse made me feel comfortable who did my breast imaging. She made the process go fast. Another time there was this lady Dr. who went out of her way to find a specialist who was willing to take my case and get a stereotactic biopsy done to me asap instead of waiting for one whole month. Thank you!

I'm sitting in the waiting room to get my x ray done in suite 120 and this female at the check in desk just got up to go to her purse in another room just to grab perfume and she walked right to the middle of the waiting room in front of where the patients wait and sprayed it all over herself and then put it back and went to go sit back down. Problem is it's really strong and I have asthma and it messed with me and I feel like I swallowed some of it so I had to put my sweater over my face so I can breathe better. I mean, most medical businesses don't want their employees to smell all perfumy anyway out of respect to the patients and I do know this as I've worked in a few medical facilities myself and know what they require. Please tell all your nurses and employees to do that before they clock in, on their free time, in courtesy of the patients that sit and wait there. Not everyone enjoys that, I did find that disrespectful and I'm not sure why she needed to smell good to sit at a desk and why she didn't at least go to a restroom and do that. Look at it this way. If you asked to step out so you can spray yourself, the answer is most likely no and to do that on your own time or break time. Why do that when there are people sitting in the waiting room? That also makes you appear as unprofessional and no care about what others feel. Most people do seem nice here, although I've only been here twice so far. I had to give three stars due that that but the doctors that have taken care of me have been amazing to me and that's the only reason why I gave three stars instead of two and the lovely doctor who did my x ray understood my problem and agreed that wasn't very appropriate. The ladies on the second floor seem a bit better and friendly. Also, one of the reps I spoke to on the phone yesterday about my insurance kept cutting me off and wouldn't listen to some of the stuff I was trying to tell her and she kept speaking over me trying to get me to listen to HER and this is my first time dealing with insurance on my own (I don't quite know what I'm doing) and she just seemed like she was trying to get me off the phone. I did not appreciate it and it made me feel uncomfortable. It could be a lovely location if some of them just had more respect.
Not good with communication on what happens what diagnoses is. Sent to pharmacy they had communication issues as well. We went to dentist and pharmacy and was sent back and forth like 3 times in an hour because they lacked communication and didnt understand their system. One lady did and explained why we didnt get our prescription when dr first sent it..it was cuz their system. But we finally got our medication for his tooth and pain.. if u go alone I feel sorry for any already suffering and going to a dr here because there was so much miscommunication..no explanation and no apology and I can read energy so the male at the pharmacy window just smirked. I wasn't rude as I asked questions but im direct as they were very confusing. Im also teaching them to talk cuz it wasn't being communicated.. now when we fi ally got the pills then the Indian lady in the back was very thorough and explained the medicines and all of that. I usually go to Family Health Centers and they are super thorough from the front to the back and even if you go to the CVS Pharmacy you get way more normal communication. I don't think there was a communication issue but there's a character issue in the team needs to train them to communicate better. So their minds and their computer system is all messed up so they need to really fix that because what if someone is really disabled and they can't communicate and advocate for themself then this would be a really major problem just because you're hired doesn't mean you have good character and just because you're hired doesn't mean you're going to do an excellent job. Just cuz you have a license that doesn't mean you have good character either people need to hire and look for certain characteristics. So I'm just putting a complaint here so you know what you will deal with when you go to that location. The dental office ladies were nice at their desk upstairs but there was so many issues where even when he came out of the dentist he didn't know what the diagnosis was so this is not funny if you ever do a job do it well or just don't do it. Please, please focus on training, customer service, and bedside manners. If you're able to text me, email me and call to confirm my appointment; You can let me know if the Dr is running behind. After waiting for 50 minutes, I asked how much longer until the Dr. sees us. The lady looks at me like I've inconvenienced her and asked if I wanted to reschedule. I've waited 50 minutes, why would I reschedule. I just want to know how much longer I have a child. Her response was, "I don't know what to tell you. He's in with a patient right now." Never been on medi-cal til now, and I can definitely say I feel terrible for the care people have been receiving here. Shame.

The time should be changed…. It says they close at 5:30 and i called at 5 and was on hold for 20 mins… if they arent guna pick up the calls then they should change the time to an earlier closing. And i called at 5 because this the time im off work. I understand everyone is trying to Go home but also if your under the clock the the phone calls should be answered.
I gave them 5 stars before but I have to take that back. while the dentist and optometrist is pretty good the pharmacy where I interact with them the most is abysmal. they are unfriendly, they don't answer the phone ever. I tried to get my prescription delivered so I don't have to deal with them directly and called them for 2 week waiting for it and when I finally got to talk to someone they said they don't deliver to my area. I asked why they didn't try to call me cause I answer my phone. they had no response. Now I'm trying to transfer my prescription to a better pharmacy but the pharmacy I'm trying to transfer it to has been trying to call them for a week and they won't answer at all. now I'm getting into the holidays and they will no doubt be closed even more because they don't care about their patients at all. never use la maestra. they just want your money and don't give a rats ass about the patients. on another note I've never met my doctor, only a nurse. so the doctors don't have time for the patients.
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the unprofessional behavior and lack of knowledge displayed by the staff at La Maestra Clinic. I had scheduled a telemedicine appointment for a referral, and I made it clear that this was the sole purpose of the visit. However, less than 24 hours before my scheduled appointment, I received a call informing me that my registration had expired and that I would not be able to proceed with the appointment. I explained that I was currently out of state and requested that the registration forms be emailed to me so that I could complete them and avoid losing my appointment. Unfortunately, my request was denied, and my appointment was canceled. I am deeply disappointed by the lack of flexibility and understanding demonstrated by the clinic staff. Their failure to accommodate my situation has caused significant inconvenience and disruption to my healthcare plans. I hope that La Maestra Clinic will take steps to improve their patient care and communication protocols to ensure that similar situations do not occur in the future.
Farmacy rude and they close before their orinal hours, clinic open and still giving out prescription in the side window door. but their glass doublewas door closed and locked at 5pm .but their schedule hours during week especially day Wednesday says clearly open until 5:30 schedule says clearly in the glass door open until 5:30pm..this lazy employees closing half hour before.. you can past out or have a stroke because this irresponsible supervisor,. let's them close 30 minutes before very irresponsible and pathetic.
I have been a patient for 10 years. And every year they have patients fill out a consent form. Recently October 25th they have lost mine right after I filled it out. Yes this means my personal information what's lost as I was told by the manager Rebecca extension #3361 the second floor primary Care manager Rebecca extension# 3361 . They had to cancel an appointment with my doctor that was previously made 2 months out because they lost my consent form? All Rebecca extension #3361could say when she was sorry. Asked if I could come back in to sign another one. And then to reschedule my original appointment. Three days before I was to come back and sign the papers on my Saturday off. I drive down there tell the receptionist why I'm there to resign the papers I had already signed. She says oh ma'am your consent form is here ⁉️ WHY WOULDN'T SOMEONE OR ANYONE LIKE MOST OF ALL REBECCA EXTENSION#3361 CALL ME Thursday morning or afternoon OR FRIDAY am or afternoon OR SATURDAY MORNING BEFORE, before I had to waste my time. Than then why in the world am I here on my Saturday Rebecca extension#3361? Of course Rebecca extension#3362 wasn't there she's at home having a great weekend on her Saturday. In all the 10 years never have I ever experienced anything like this type of game 🎮 before add a medical facility. Rebecca extension #3361 needs a lot of training!!!!! Either she is just not trained for this job or she's just lame 😞 ***. Note 🙏🏾🤔 If you're a new patient find somewhere else to go!!
Unfortunately writing this review because the doctors here are so kind, but after being a patient here for over a year, it seems like their online system of scheduling appointments is non existent. Past few times I've scheduled a follow up here and everytime I show up, they claim to say I don't have any appointments, clearly wasting my time. I've asked for referrals to see a different specialist when it comes to my diabetes and keep getting referred to the same horrific doctor when I specifically asked them NOT to recommend me that doctor MULTIPLE times. I really prefer and love the kindness of the doctors here but it just seems that their online patient system is a joke.
Literally the worst clinic I have ever been to. I am 6 weeks pregnant, have been trying to get an appointment for 2 weeks to be seen by someone and they have managed to "refer" me to UCSD so that I never got my appointment here, and yet when I call UCSD they say that they have no record of me and no one ever went over the fax. The employees here not only seem miserable but have no idea what they are doing or why. There is zero organization. When I showed up for what was supposed to be my appointment I got sent to several departments all of which had no idea why I was there and treated me poorly. One girl even said she didn't have time for me because she wanted to go on a break. Trust me find literally any other clinic
Honestly one of the worst places to be. Scheduling an appointment is a nightmare. Even virtual appointments over the phone. If you miss a call even by a minute and try to call them back you have to go through the whole process of booking another appointment. One time they called me at 6:15pm I miss the call by a minute and when I called back they said they are close at 6pm and to call tomorrow. After I waited the whole day for this appointment. Find another clinic. Honestly I’m just waiting to get my degree and move to another country with better healthcare. In the meantime I’d rather pay money at an urgent care then deal with this place.
Terrible customer service. You often get interrupted mid speech for your identifying information. There are tactful ways to do that. They are defensive, deflect blame on others or the patient, and can be combative. I would say about 2 out of 6-8 receptionists I have spoken to have actually treated me kindly, but they are limited as to what they can do. The supervisors do not get back to you or honor email communication even if that is the best method to contact you. The provider doesn't care about you in my case. Didn't even do a physical exam on me after I went for an ER follow-up. They purposely delay short term disability claims so you don't get paid or so you give up. Nobody is consistent. I'm always getting back and forth information. Zero accountability or care is given towards their patients.
I dropped off my sister for an appointment here today and they were repeatedly given poor service. First off, arriving at 3:30 for the appointment and didn’t actually get into the room until about an hour later. The doctor made my sister uncomfortable from unusual comments about having “great boobs” and repeatedly feeling them after original assessment. To make matters worse it seems like the doctor was just making things up. I don’t think it’s normal or based in science to claim that my sister “isnt fat because you’re vegan”. That’s actually ridiculous, but unfortunately isn’t the worst thing said. Asking if caffeine is being drank regularly and claiming that’s why their boobs hurt??? Then after the whole assessment, the doctor kept trying to have my sister changed in front of her, even when told they would wait till the doctor left the room. Basically had to defend the choice to change in private, mind you the door was open. Once the doctor finally left the room, she came back without knocking while my sister was still barely changed. The doctor also made comments about my sister’s piercings on their stomach and face, then asked about vaginal piercings— Then felt around for some (after having finished speculum assessment) This is a VERY unprofessional & inappropriate experience and from other reviews, an entirely unprofessional establishment. When asked for a solution about bloody discharge, her response was to say stop wearing underwear all together. The whole visit felt like a joke and my sister’s concerns went unheard. Will not be returning.
I called for a follow-up appointment for my daughter after she was discharged from the hospital, and the nurse never called me back to schedule an appointment. When I went to the clinic, Dr. Samantha Goggin's assistant was very rude, saying that the sheet of paper where they supposedly tried to contact me was right there, and she was laughing and making rude faces. Apparently, they shouldn't be working there if they don't know how to treat people. This isn't the first time someone from the pediatrics department has behaved rudely, but today was terrible.
I would give zero star if I could. These staff take advantage of their patients who do not speak English. The wait is about 30 mins to two hours before they call you in. Had an appointment today 4/10/25 @ 7:30am to be seen by the doctor and for lab but as soon as I checked in, the front desk receptionist says it’s only for lab and nothing else. That was irritated because another receptionist said I will be seen by the doctor. They either need better management team for better training or better receptionist. It is not acceptable telling your patients different things. And got called to the lab and they said they didn’t put in any orders in so they can’t do anything. They said to wait till 8am or 9am. This appointment was made 4 months ago so I didn’t understand why no one put in the order for it…. The staffs here love to waste peoples time and damage their business reputation and getting paid for it.

I have been discriminated. I have been treated horribly. I have been in this clinic for one month and I've had 3 cancelations on the doctor site. I've had 10 referrals that weren't filled out correctly and sent out to different hospitals and other clinics, especialist without the medical code. Empty and I'm so sick and tired. I need to know who the owner of this clinic is. Or I'm gonna send the news media and make a big thing about this. They're gonna make me have a heart attack. I already feel sick. My heart has a lot of pressure. I've been on the phone 42 weeks and one day every day
Honestly one of the worst places to be. Scheduling an appointment is a nightmare. Even virtual appointments over the phone. If you miss a call even by a minute and try to call them back you have to go through the whole process of booking another appointment. One time they called me at 6:15pm I miss the call by a minute and when I called back they said they are close at 6pm and to call tomorrow. After I waited the whole day for this appointment. Find another clinic. Honestly I’m just waiting to get my degree and move to another country with better healthcare. In the meantime I’d rather pay money at an urgent care then deal with this place.
Literally the worst clinic I have ever been to. I am 6 weeks pregnant, have been trying to get an appointment for 2 weeks to be seen by someone and they have managed to "refer" me to UCSD so that I never got my appointment here, and yet when I call UCSD they say that they have no record of me and no one ever went over the fax. The employees here not only seem miserable but have no idea what they are doing or why. There is zero organization. When I showed up for what was supposed to be my appointment I got sent to several departments all of which had no idea why I was there and treated me poorly. One girl even said she didn't have time for me because she wanted to go on a break. Trust me find literally any other clinic
Unfortunately writing this review because the doctors here are so kind, but after being a patient here for over a year, it seems like their online system of scheduling appointments is non existent. Past few times I've scheduled a follow up here and everytime I show up, they claim to say I don't have any appointments, clearly wasting my time. I've asked for referrals to see a different specialist when it comes to my diabetes and keep getting referred to the same horrific doctor when I specifically asked them NOT to recommend me that doctor MULTIPLE times. I really prefer and love the kindness of the doctors here but it just seems that their online patient system is a joke.
