Went to Waffle Cafe on Wed. Sept. 9th 2021. Hadn't been there since Covid shutdowns. Always loved the place and as usual was not disappointed. Great food as always and our server Laurie(sp?) was the bomb. Very efficient and so personable. Hope she comes back after having her new baby. Will be back often as we live just across the street.

Food was very good and portions were large. Pancakes here are gigantic! Waitresses and staff were very friendly. There was a wait time of about 20 minutes for a table but they were very busy. Food arrived quickly and it was very good.

This is THE go to place for breakfast!! The wait staff is excellent! Depending on the chef of the day, the food is usually very good.

They make the best Banana Caramel Waffles, with Whipped Cream, of course! I usually order a Waffle Combo with Bacon, and save half for snack the next day. Excellent & quick service. The servers are friendly & pleasant. They can get quite busy, but the wait is never too long. Sometimes, the server will forget to bring something we asked for and another server or employee is more than happy to serve. Thank you! I only wish the drive was shorter to get to you.

Fantastic brunch date! My wife and I finally tried The Waffle Cafe and I am sad we didn't do it sooner. The food was fantastic with large portion sizes. We tried a few different things and there was nothing that disappointed here. The staff was friendly and prices were reasonable. 10/10 will go back and will recommend.

Seriously the best diner food in the Valley. Like I’ve been coming here for over 10 years now, I can’t speak highly enough of this restaurant. The staff is incredible. The owner is on the floor bussing tables with the waitresses, the food is such high quality and every ounce is cooked with love. I hope this cafe never fails. This place is the best! I don't live in the central valley, and finding this restaurant on Google search was a true blessing. My husband is a really hungry man, a big meal type of man, and he loved his meal choice. The server was pleasant, and the ambiance was non judging. The prices are very fair. We brought our family here for breakfast as an alternative to the breakfast as Great Wolf Lodge. It did not disappoint. The portions were WAY more than any of us could eat. The hash browns were so crispy on the outside but soft in the inside. The pancakes were bigger than our faces! The servers were friendly as well. Would recommend.

I love this place I live in the Bay area and I go out there for breakfast I took my two sisters and they were amazed at it. My brother and I were out there in Manteca he lives in Ceres for a rental property and we were going to go get something to eat and he found this place which happened to be very close to where we had left the property. And I have told everybody I know about it. It is everything is five Star Plus the staff the food the waiting is just hardly anything it's just amazing it's amazing I love this place. I hope that it does not change it's a very friendly family comfortable place to go and be with friends and just enjoy food and being served by the best servers . Serving the best food

The best breakfast on this side of heaven! The waiters here are so nice and patient. They also are well acquainted with the menu. The breakfast always comes fresh, hot, decently quick and huge portions. They are very organized. That team also works well together!

Food was delicious and reasonably priced. The only thing,it was soooo cold in the restaurant. This was my second time here, and thats what I remembered from last visit, uncomfortably cold 🥶. Oh wait one more thing, the restroom was horrendous, disgusting. Like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks.

We had a vegetarian omelet with hash browns. With a side order of country potatoes and a pancake. Everything was excellent and very flavorful. Great portions of food and great service. We love it there.

I was greeted with a smile. I asked if my family members arrived and was told I can go search the floor for them. Being the first one to arrive I was then seated in a booth to wait for my family to arrive, they were only 2 hours late... I was given coffee after around 10 minutes of waiting, no problem. However as an hour of waiting I had to ask a few servers for a refill. I can only assume the looks I was getting by the servers was "is this guy ever going to order"? Having been a waiter myself you see a variety of customers and cannot judge a book by its cover. You do all you are capable to keep the customers comfortable and drinks full. That is the extent of my visit before my family arrived. This place was chosen by my father in law and he wanted my opinion on how this place was as he truly enjoys the place for its food and service. Being a belated birthday present for me it was a nice setting.

All I have to is wow! Trying this restaurant was one of the best experiences from the food to the service it was amazing 😻 and right on time food was still hot and fresh when served and orders came really quick. Super busy but I see why 🤤 the guy who works there i believe may be the owner is so patient and always making sure everyone is content you will not waste your money here trust me you will feel right at home.

Breakfast is my favorite meal and this place did not disappoint. It is a much larger restaurant then what appears from the street view. Our waitress was Kayla. She was great. Funny and attentive. Actually it seemed the entire staff was friendly and helpful- now to the food. Our food was well prepared and come hungry because they give you plenty of food. My wife and I ordered the Denver Omelette. Nice big omelette well made for sure. I ordered the Hash Browns with mine and my wife had their Country Potatoes. She liked hers and I liked mine. Next time I will ask them to be a little crisper, only because it had a nice crunch on the outside and the inside was soft but I like mine a little more cooked - like I said I really like Breakfast. We both ordered a Pancake which was huge and really good. The pancake was the size of a serving plate. (See pictures below). The other person with us ordered the Milwaukee Omelette (Fresh Mushrooms and Swiss Cheese) - seems to be a popular item here. If you want a good breakfast served by a friendly staff - please pay them a visit.

I got the strawberry almond waffle and it tasted very good. It tasted like fresh home made waffles. The service was great. The seats were comfortable. It's definitely a place I would like to go again. A good place to take kids. Although they don't have a kids menu.

If you are looking for yummy breakfast food this is your place. It is not fancy, but it is clean and the servers are wonderful.

Looking for a down home breakfast? Waffle Cafe is a good place to go. My omelette was top notch.

The Waffle Cafe is overall a good place to come and eat. The service is above par and the food is above average. They are a little more expensive than most restaurants in this class, but I'd rather pay a little more to get good service and decent food cooked to your satisfaction.

I really enjoy the breakfast and the chicken and waffle meal. Customer service is also really good at this location.

It was very noisy and kind of dark for daytime. We had 7 people in our party. The waitress was very nice and friendly. I would eat there again.

Was my last meal with my longtime friend, who was leaving that day to live in another state. Had the Bacon avocado omelet, bowl of ripe melon, and a huge pancake. It was all good.

My experience was not with the food which has been delicious and the service is great. The deal I'm a little upset with is the hours of operation. If you say you are open until 2pm why were we turned away at 1:15pm. Is this new? No service/entry after what time? Thankfully Applebee's could accommodate us...

It's what you'd expect. Quality food and reasonable service for a large dinner type restaurant. Prices are a little higher than I expected, but everything is good.

What a great way to end my year .... I went to this waffle house and had one of the best experiences I had in a while going out to eat.... The food was fantastic the service was fast and the amount of food for the price is definitely a winner.... I highly recommend this place...

What a little gem of a restaurant. First of all let me start with the servers they were very friendly and this restaurant is well organized. They are really there to serve your needs. As for the food you better be ready to eat as a portions are very very large. I used to think that Chuck's restaurant in Stockton made the biggest pancakes but was I wrong this place is just good if not better. I drove from Stockton to eat here and boy was he drive worth it. I highly recommend you try this restaurant you won't regret it.

Edit: They sadly took the Ruben sandwich off the menu. 😔 It was my go to, when visiting here. They do however make a really nice Philly cheese steak sandwich. I usually get the Ruben sandwich, add onions, tomato, lettuce, extra sauerkraut. It's amazing, the meat is so well cooked, and it's kinda my go to here.

My husband was brewed a fresh, decaffeinated coffee (he gave up caffeine for lent). Great place to eat, the bathroom was pretty clean. Esthetic wise, an update is needed, but overall the servers and food were great. We will be back.

There seemed to be a lot of servers on this Sunday midday morning. But, we still had difficulty getting their attention without having to get up and wave someone down. One seated us, one brought coffee/water, another took our orders, and yet another brought the food out....a busy restaurant like this needs to have the staff working cohesively like a machine. That wasn't happening today. Too much confusion as to who was or has done what. And this place is LOUD LOUD LOUD... expect to yell at the person across from you. Anyway, our meals did get out to us, if not in several trips, and it was all quite good especially the biscuits and gravy. Biscuits were a perfectly light and the gravy rich and just nicely done, as was the chicken fried steak. This is a good place to go for some good 'basic' breakfast/brunch food at a decent price given the current economy is creating food sticker shock on a regular basis.

I thought I'd try the Philly cheese steak sandwich. It started when we called and after being on hold for 30 min decided to drive there and place our order. We placed order and got home to find the fries were in an order that should of been curly fries. The Philly sandwich was ok.. way too cheesy and not enough bell pepper and onions. They were cut so small maybe I just missed them in all the cheese. I'll stick to breakfast only if we go there again..... Disappointed

Nothing special here, coulda got the same food cheaper at Denny's or IHOP. Waitress rushing you to order and eat and trying to rush you out. Eggs were lukewarm, Could warmed up an Ego Waffle 🧇 that woulda had tasted the same. 😂

I've been going to Waffle Cafe for about five years, and the portions have been getting smaller, and the prices are a little higher. Even the coffee is very bland. I think for what you pay, you should get the same quality of breakfast. Enjoy a good breakfast with your family.

We hadn't been here in a long time. Yesterday we went for lunch. My dad ordered biscuits and gravy no taste of sausage had to order a side of gravy and sausage. My son ordered a bacon & cheese burger he said the meat was plain. I ordered the mushroom chicken sandwich a bit bland but ok ate half. Heated up the other half of chicken sandwich for lunch today and chicken was raw. Ewww. My mom's club sandwich she said was decent. So disappointed in the quality of food.

The waitress dropped my toast and never brought another one nor check in on us. I had to ask her twice for coffee and hot sauce. She only came once and it was only to bring us the bill. Terrible

I've been going to Waffle Cafe for about five years, and the portions have been getting smaller, and the prices are a little higher. Even the coffee is very bland. I think for what you pay, you should get the same quality of breakfast. Enjoy a good breakfast with your family.

Don’t waist your time, this place is disgusting! The food is trash, the service is trash. Shout out to the waitress that never checked on us missing food, best part was when she said kitchen shut off the toaster so you can’t get toast 😂

If I could give it 0 stars I would me and my family ate here a few days ago and almost DIED we had food poisoned from this disgusting place throwing up and diarrhea for 2 days straight we spent $100+ here and gave a tip smh even thought the food was disgusting no flavor not hot and little did we know hours later we’d ALL be throwing up our insides my advice to anyone DONT EAT HERE !!!!

The website says this place closes at 2pm but we were denied entry at 1pm. The girl at the front was very rude about it. A sign at the door would have been nice instead of making us walk inside for no reason

Dont understand why waitstaff is not wiping or give table a clean syrup cont...filthy sticky And i order coffee,no spoon to stir , Order pancakes n waffles no knife to cut she silverware to my table three times

I ordered a tomato and onion omletw/hash browns. It was cold and looked like a lump of scrambled eggs with a few tomatoes, had to hunt for the cheese and a lot of onions. It didn't even look close to an omelet, it was a lump of scrambled eggs. You can't get any help from the owners, makes me think they don't care. I took it home asked for utensils and napkins. Nope no such luck. We are done going there, it's dirty,tables sticky,and servers are too busy gossiping.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I came here because of all the good ones and I wish I hadn’t. Service was fine, but the food? Yikes. Out of 3 meals, the only thing worth eating was the banana pecan waffle and even that was a little burnt. Somehow, a sad little sausage patty over $8 made it onto the menu, It wasn’t even homemade. How disappointing. The coffee tasted like it lost a fight with the pot. We spent over $100+ for what turned out to be the worst meal I’ve had in years. Honestly we all are feeling sick after this meal. My 2 young children threw up, my daughter and myself ended up having a bad stomach ache

She treated the other tables around us much better than she treated us, which was disappointing. It made us feel as though regular customers may receive better service. While the food may be decent , customer service makes a big difference. If you’re looking for great food and outstanding customer service, Chubby’s is a great option they treat everyone well, whether you’re new or a regular.
