Recomendable 100%
Highly recommended spot in Mérida. Everything was great. Specializing in all kinds of rice dishes, I tried the beef cheek rice and it was a real treat. Good wines at very reasonable prices, which is unusual. The homemade desserts are also excellent; the tiramisu was amazing. All in all, I was very pleasantly surprised.
Excellent restaurant, undoubtedly one of the best in Mérida. It stands out for its commitment to local products, which are of high quality and expertly prepared. The menu is varied, appealing, and well-balanced, with options for all tastes, combining tradition and creativity. Everything we ordered was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. They also have a very well-chosen wine list, perfect for pairing with each dish. The service was attentive and professional, making the experience even more enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back soon. Highly recommended.
We had dinner at La Milanesa and it was an exceptional experience. The food was delicious, with a perfectly cooked and flavorful sirloin steak, and potatoes with octopus that became one of our favorite dishes of the night. Everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The staff was wonderful, especially Alina and Lidia, who served us with impeccable kindness and professionalism. They made us feel very welcome and took care of every detail throughout the entire meal. A highly recommended place. We will definitely be back!
This is the second time I've eaten at Mérida, Badajoz, and I think I'll keep going back whenever I'm in Mérida, as it's very convenient on my route, without having to go into town or worry about parking. The food is good; the rice dishes, cod, and other dishes are all excellent. The staff is attentive and professional, and you don't have to wait too long, allowing you to eat at your leisure without feeling rushed. The noise from loud conversations and the difficulty in controlling the air conditioning in our area, as it was too cold, mean that next time I'll ask for a different table option.
We were coming from a trip and I booked for 5 people. It was definitely worth stopping in Mérida just to eat at this place. First of all, the service and professionalism were impeccable, from a young lady who served us wonderfully. We ordered starters and rice dishes. The croquettes were amazing, the torreznos were very good, although for my taste they lacked a bit of crunch. The breaded veal sweetbreads were actually good, but I wouldn't have them again. The lobster rice was exquisite, without any complaints. It would have been good if I had eaten two more dishes. I didn't like the other sirloin rice, I think. It's also true that after the lobster, it was very hard to beat. The value for money was one of the best I've seen in a long time. Recommended and a must-stop.
An excellent place to sample typical dishes from both the region and the country. Easy parking, as it's next to the bus station and the Lusitania Bridge. The restaurant is cozy, well-decorated, and has very professional service. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this is a mid-range to upscale establishment. The tablecloths and cloth napkins are made of high-quality linen, as are the dishes and cutlery. The waiters are friendly, and the menu is extensive. Quality ingredients are well-prepared and well-presented. Reasonably priced for a quality restaurant. The meats are impressive, as are the fish and Iberian ham croquettes. 100% recommended.
We come here a lot, it's great for groups. Phone ahead to order your rice dish. They can prepare it with less salt and fat and they comply! Really good meat and fish dishes too and yummy croquetas. Definitely recommended!
Traditional Spanish food, was very tasty.
To be honest, this second visit was a bit of a disappointment. We were seated right by the door, and it seemed like we didn't have assigned servers; everyone walked right past us, and no one seemed interested in listening to our orders. The food was decent: some cured sardines that were fine, and a salad instead of the potatoes that come with the GIANT breaded steak, which was practically inedible for an Argentinian accustomed to good meat. It was a bit pricey for the quality of what we ate. The dessert was a pretty good fried milk dessert. I think you shouldn't stray from the typical dishes, which are known for their rice dishes, but this wasn't one of them. Nevertheless, we'll go back since the previous visit was very positive. We'll see.
A friend recommended this place to celebrate my father's birthday, and we were very happy with it. We booked the same day through their website, where you can see the available times, and we had no problem getting a table. We even arrived a little before our scheduled time and were still seated. There were three of us, and we ordered a portion of delicious oxtail croquettes to share as a starter. Then we shared a creamy octopus rice dish and a shoulder of kid goat. The portions were generous; we even had leftover rice, which they offered us to take with us. We also ordered two desserts to share: cheesecake and a traditional Spanish cake. The portions were enormous; one would have been enough for the three of us. Everything was delicious, both the food and the desserts. Definitely a great choice. The waiter who served us, Juan, was attentive at all times, making sure everything was perfect, but in just the right amount of time. He wasn't pushy, as can happen in some other places. He was charming and very kind. We appreciate his excellent service. Recommended for special occasions and even groups.
This isn't my first time at the restaurant and as usual, everything was top notch. Good food and great service with moderate albeit slightly expensive prices. But don't let this put you off. If you can splurge a bit, it is worth it.

Worst service I have ever experienced in Spain. Not recommend!
I was very excited about trying this restaurant. So I arrived right before 6:00. The waitress told me they would be opening soon and that I could only drink so I ordered an espresso and carried it myself to the patio as no one offered to serve me. I sat at my table for 30 plus minutes with wait staff walking by me staring and saying nothing. Finally I asked if someone was going to serve me. And they unapologetically said they don't serve food yet, so I asked when they open, she said 8:00. I understand in Spain that hours are much different than in the United States, but I'm certain you have an international clientele and you really should try harder at communicating what your hours are. Or at least ask a person after they've been sitting at the table for half an hour if there's something you can do to serve them. I really felt like I was inconveniencing the staff by sitting there when I just wanted to partake in this fine restaurant Just something to consider.
Rude stuff. Bad coffee
