We can always count on great drinks & food here. The chefs are great. We always seem to have our family get together here. ❤️

We sat at the tepan table and enjoyed the show. Food was burning hot right off the grill but it was busy and the waitress was slower because they were short staffed like most restaurants are these days. We enjoyed ourselves though. I had a wonderful birthday dinner, but we did not have them sing although we were able to see it at lots of other tables.

Best place ever, my first time there. The food was so delicious, chef was fun and funny, he made sure my food was prepared first to avoid any contact with the shellfish others ordered. Wasn't very crowded which was awesome as we went during the weekend late lunch early dinner... Will definitely be back

I love this place!! It's my spot everything I go to 6flags for now on. Service was amazing. Sat right at the sushi bar and watched as my roll was made. I ordered alot and spent under $80. This place is a gem. Make sure to feed the huge Koi

Went for my bday and everything was amazing there. 1st time there to and the whole experience was a great one not to forget. If you want a new fun food experience in life, go there and make sure u like seafood, steak, and sushi. Best place for a birthday experience

We went for my son's 11th birthday. He loved it. There's also giant koi fish and they give you fish food up at the front so you can feed them. That was great to do with the kids while you wait to be seated. They don't do reservations and they want the whole party to be there before seating us, that's the only thing that kind of suck because someone was late in our party so I just said they weren't coming so we could be seated (it was 14 people waiting on 3). Also they happy put out birthday cake in the fridge area until we were ready.

Absolutely delish with good size portions. Very beautiful ambience, especially the outside area. Just gorgeous! Definitely one of my go to restaurants for Japanese cuisine.

What an amazing experience!!!!! I have been here many times but today at lunch was exceptional. The filet was literally the tenderest meat I have ever eaten in my life ( and I’ve been around the world ) We also got Lobster and scallops I asked for melted butter ( received it like 1.5 minutes later - wow) and Santos the chef dumped a glob of butter on the flat grill and with 4 flicks of his spatula , he scooped up all the melted butter into a bowl !! I applauded loudly and said how fabulous they was :)) just excellent

We went to the restaurant early because the lines are very long to reserve a table or tables. The food is always good and pur chef was very kind. The service this time was bad. They didn't attend to our tables. They gave us the wrong orders and condiments weren't given until our appetizers were done. I think the bus boys did better. I was given my ginger for my california rolls but i finished it with my son before it was given, even soy sauce for the edame and california rolls were done. The atmosphere of course was fine and it was my aunts birthday and we paid for the food and was suppose to sing happy birthday and the cake but we already left before they could sing. It was just one after the other. We also asked for drinks and it was all wrong. Will we come back, but of course but the girl servers need to listen and attend to their tables better. I know it could get busy but its obvious its going to be busy.

My husband was craving Teppanyaki so we came to Yamato on a Saturday night and it was pretty crowded but since we really just wanted the food and didn’t necessarily want to see the “show” we were seated pretty quickly at a nice spacious booth. The servers were very friendly and attentive. We got the hibachi steak and shrimp and the hibachi steak and scallops which were both delicious. The fried rice was extremely flavorful and the portions are generous. The side of veggies was absolutely amazing. The price point is also very good. Some teppanyaki restaurants are extremely overpriced and Yamato is priced fairly especially for how much food you get. The atmosphere is fun and lively and perfect for celebrating birthdays, graduations, etc.

First time teppan. Our chef was great. Very skilled and efficient. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. I was joking that the food tasted better than Ruth’s Chris. We ordered the supreme. Scallops were huge. Steak was so tender. Lobster was really good and they gave more than Ruth’s Chris. Xmas decorations were on point and service was great. The only thing is the menus were kind of old and dirty. I would definitely go back.

The food and atmosphere are amazing but truly the best part of my visit here was the staff. I had a small issue with my order that i brought the the attention of the manager. Quinn went above and beyond to fix the mistake and took great care and attended to us for the rest our meal. Thank you Quinn! We will definitely be coming back!

We love taking our family to Yamato. We live out of state but try to make it in whenever we are in town. We were sat and served quickly. The cooks always put on a great show, our kids love it. Our favorites are the filet and chicken, and fried rice.

We had a group of twelve people celebrating two birthdays at Yamato recently. The manager, Bobby, was very accommodating and provided us with two complimentary birthday packages. I highly recommend Yamato as a dining option. It is comparable to Benihana, if not better. The chef was very entertaining and provided everyone with a delicious meal.

A

I loved the variety of sushi rolls to choose from, but what I really loved is you can get half order for $5 rather than whole order, this let me get even more variety. Gotta try the maine lobster special roll too, it was amazing! Great service, super nice people (customers were fun too). I'd totally recommend this for a simple night out, group event, or date night with someone special.

G

The food is top notch and the service is excellent. You won't regret planning a night at Yamato's with your loved ones. You will regret not making a reservation as the wait times can get a bit crazy. Once you're sitting down tho, it's a great time.

*Update 6/12/19* I can see Yamato from here!! Can't wait to get in there. 20 minutes and counting... Here!! Alfonso and Stephanie are On Point today!! They have RAISED the Bar! BAM!!!!! 5 Stars, JUST LIKE THAT! Due to these 2 Competent Individuals! Glad to see that the 2 Managers were Not around to necessarily ruin Our Meal this time. 👊😉🤙 ---------------------------- *Update 3/26/19* YO ALEX!! You and Taka need to Smile!!! Why make Your Customers feel like they are a Burden to You. Whenever I see you Two Cats, You Two either have an Angry or Indifferent look. What's Up With That??? Thankfully the staff here Does NOT follow suit of the 'Management Team'. NOW...On to the dinner!! $150 for 3 is a bit high for this type of restaurant... Particularly when served with ATTITUDE on the side. And by No Means, was it the Chef's or the Waitresses, nor the Greeters... It's ONLY MANAGEMENT!!! Maybe You Two should consider staying in the back and allowing the restaurant to run like the Well Oiled Machine that it is. And for God's Sake, stop using 2 distributors for your FISH!!!! >:-( -------------------------------- *EDITED 2/9/19* Took my son here for a Much Deserved Sushi Fix. Perhaps a Big Mistake today. Service was phenomenal, as expected, by Alfonso! He is a Master at what he does! Lili was great too. Sadly, the sushi was NOT good today. 3 out of 9 plates were Bad! And I don't mean Not Well Made Sushi, but actual Bad Fish!! Had the manager, Taka, come and try a dish. Despite him stating it was good, the look on his face told a Completely Different story. One plate of bad fish is Not good. THREE in one sitting though?? That's a Serious and Very Concerning Issue! Despite removing 2 plate charges and tacking on a 10% discount, it may be a while before my son can bring himself to eating at his Favorite Restaurant of All Time. Overheard some of the wait staff stating that there are 2 sources for fish at Yamatos and perhaps quality control wasn't implemented correctly? We have Been coming here for nearly 20 years!! I'd Hate to Leave Them, but I refuse to allow my 11 year old to be subjected to Rotten Sushi! --------------------- Yamato's is what Yamato's is! Which is Good! No Benihana for us, when Yamato is in our backyard! Great Sushi Chef's, Equally Awesome Teppan Chef's ! The Wait Service from the ladies here is Amazing! If only that Asian manager, Taka, would crack a smile every now and then, I'd give them 5 Stars. Oh what the heck, he doesn't need to smile. The rest of his staff makes up for his lack of friendliness. Been coming here for almost 20 years! Had my daughters 16th Birthday here with 16+ girls at 1 teppan table. Nothing much, except Most of the faces, has changed. Happy to see some of the Original Teppan Masters still here. Who says you need to have a Japanese Chef to have an Outstanding Dinner and Show??

I absolutely love this teppanyaki restaurant. The food here is absolutely delicious. You can have chicken steak shrimp or lobster vegetables fried rice steamed rice soup and so much more including a large variety of rolls. The food was cooked at the side of our table by an amazing chef named Tauro . He puts on a slideshow. I know for a fact that once the quarantine is over and you can actually have them cook for you at your table like always you will get a private show by your chef that is absolutely amazing. I can't wait to come back in and see it at its full capacity. I absolutely recommend this restaurant bring your family and your friends. They have a koi pond in the entrance of the restaurant with the most beautiful fish and turtles.

E

The koi pond is a gorgeous 😍 Dinner and a show when you dine at the teppian grill...sushi bar with revolving belt...and a fully stocked bar. Celebrating can't be done better than it is here. The staff really go all out for your special day when you participate in the celebration package. If you haven't gone; go today it's a great experience 👌 If you want a more individual experience, this location has smaller teppian grills. Parking is not a problem as a large free lot os provided.

What a Great Place 👍 been going to Yamato's for years. You will walk into the restaurant with covid enhancements. The Koi pond was always a fun little treat to see for the children. The would always get fish pellets at the front desk and feed the turtles and Koi fish , although I don't think this is available at the moment. Restaurant is full of liveliness . Typical wait time is about 20 to 30 min for the grill or sushi booth but the bar has a much faster turnaround time .. Wife and I were seated immediately. When you go you also need to be patient. ( Don't forget that restaurants and most businesses are short staffed) so you might have to flag a few people down other than that the food is absolutely amazing and fresh. You will not be disappointed. Menu ranges from appetizers of 3.95 to 10.00 and Dinner combos from 10.00 to 35.00 drinks are about 2.95 -5.00 and Alcohol Beer starts at 5.00 for domestic and 7.50 for the large Sapporo. They also normally would have a rotating sushi bar but currently not running due to covid.. The restaurant offers all Grill menu's at the bar itself. We love to order teriyaki chicken, fried rice and white sauce on the side .. along with the sushi see in my pictures.. Albacore Sushi, Spicy Tuna Hand Roll, Fried Rice Cake appetizers, shrimp shumi and Lobster Roll 🦞 Again be patient with them and the staff.. Great Place!!!!

I believe Danielle was our server, and Mario was our cook. Both did an excellent job, Mario was very interactive with us as he prepared our food. Went there around 530pm, and there was no line but quickly filled up as we sat there, and as we were leaving, people everywhere outside waiting to be seated. The food was delicious, I normally don't eat vegetables but today CLEARED my plate!!

Had a blast, service was good, and the food was great. My only complaints at all was that the miso was a little watered down, and teriyaki sauce was pretty bland. Other than that, I couldn't have been happier. Definitely will be back again for those special occasions. Oh, the bar has good 5 dollar apps, and the food comes out super quick, so place to stop while waiting for your table.

We had such a wonderful Valentine’s dinner at Yamato. We walked in around 5:00 PM and were told there would be about an hour wait—which was expected because the place was packed. Despite how busy it was, we were seated in about 50 minutes, and the service was great from start to finish. We sat at the teppan grill, which made the whole experience even more fun and entertaining. I ordered the lobster and filet, and everything was cooked absolutely perfectly—flavorful, tender, and beautifully prepared. The chef was truly five stars, providing amazing entertainment while delivering top-notch food. The Valentine’s service was exceptional, the energy was great, and we had the best time. Thank you to the entire Yamato team for such a memorable evening. We’ll definitely be back!

The moment you walk in the door you know you've made he right choice. The ambiance and decor is wonderful and enchanting while the hostess was as lovely amd gracious as you could ask. The servers and chefs were top shelf and made the experience one I will not soon forget. While the chef prepares your meal in front of you they will entice the imagination and senses with there skill and passion for thier craft. Every bite is a preamble of savory leading you to a crescendo of satisfaction when your meal is over. You must definitely make this a event to stop in and experience for this isn't just a meal its and adventure.

Yamato is an incredible spot especially for special occasions or date nights. They have a Sushi bar float, Teppanyaki tables, and a bar area. All of them seem to have a special treat to them. Our Teppanyaki chef, Alberto and our server, Pauly — were incredibly helpful, and went of their way to make sure we’re having a wonderful experience. Highly recommend if you’re near by!

This is a good Japanese restaurant. I love the teppanyaki tables. I was a little annoyed by the constant announcements for tables being ready for customers. Also it’s a bit smoky which is understandable. I could do without the drums too. Nice Japanese music in the background would be better. I understand that the drums are traditional but it’s a bit much

Really liked the food and staff is friendly and helpful. Only issue I have is they are overcrowding their eating areas and some might as well be inside with how tightly enclosed they are. I believe they are addressing this issue though so it should get better. I'd recommend going on a week day if you want to avoid the rush.

E
Ed Price

Good food, good staff and i like the menu. But,they are short sometimes during busy periods and it may take awhile to get seated at the grill or to get a chef to cook your meal. Don't come here if you're on a schedule. Plan on 1.5-2 hours for everything, if its busy.

B

When there is a special event in our family such as a birthday, Yamato's Japanese Restaurant has been our go to place. I believe the management has been switched up and even though most of the employees were very nice it felt as if it was everyone’s first day on the job. looks like almost everyone is new staff. They were surprisingly busy on Super Bowl Sunday but constantly asking for basic essentials multiple times like napkins, utensils, soy sauce, etc. was a bit surprising because it’s not cheap to dine here. The chicken is usually very rich in flavor but was super dry and tasted like rubber. The one good thing is the sushi.

When you walk into the bar side of this place. There is a very gross smell. But I did not smell it in the dining area. The prices here are pretty average, depending on what you get. I did not like having to be seated with another party. They do have a group singing happy birthday every 5-10 minutes. And if you want to embarrass your friends with a birthday song, it will cost you $6.50. But overall, the food was pretty decent. I would go here again.

M
Matthew Hernandez

If you like the the teppanyaki experience of seeing your food cooked on front of you, this is the place for you. Food is good, drinks are made well. And if you want to just hang out at the bar they got a bar to the right which is pretty Melo, I liked it.

E
Eva Arsenault

The Teppanyaki experience was pretty cool. Pitchers of Kirin were $10 before 7 on Friday and I enjoyed buying fish food from the hostess and feeding the coy fish on the deck. Our chef Hector seemed to enjoy lighting the onion volcano on fire.We only had 6 in our party and Teppanyaki requires 8 to be seated. We were seated with two other people who lightened up after eating the delicious food. The bill was about 200 for 6 with tip and with out the bar bill.

C

This is a popular place in SCV. Get there early to avoid the long wait. If you find yourself waiting enjoy the fully stocked private bar located off the lobby. We eat at the Tepan tables. Kenny is our favorite but most of the chefs create a fun experience. Pro Tip: they do not accept reservations for dinner. Best time to arrive is 430pm with minimal wait time. For the little ones in your party they can be entertained by the koi fish and mini turtles off the front patio area.

We had a decent vegetarian experience here at Yamato Japanese Restaurant. We were seated fairly quickly without a reservation once we agreed to not sit in the main "show-room" dining area where the chef's performed the food prep in front of your eyes. It was our first time and we wanted to delve into the menu to see what vegetarian options there were so we sat on the other side of the sushi bar with a sort of view of the festivities in the other room. It was fun, especially when a birthday celebration came along and a parade of masked employees came out to sing and beat the nearby Japanese drum. This happened a few times when we were there and got us thinking how fun this would be to experience with a group for a birthday celebration. There were a good number of things for us vegetarians here including the "Vegeterian Delight" which featured fried tofu "steaks" and various mushroom-centric and green vegetables. Plenty to eat and tasted good though perhaps not the most beautiful plate of food we've had. We also enjoyed the Agedashi Tofu (which was nicely presented and tasted good) and the vegetable tempura (which was a basic offering heavy on the squash and starchy vegetables with only one green included [broccoli]. We would have liked a better balance of the types of vegetables in this to balance out the tempura coating more. We'd come back, especially for a celebration. It's a fun atmosphere and we'd make a reservation in advance so we can sit in the main dining room.

L
Laurent Derosier

Overall it is a very nice place. The wait times are hit or miss with being short or long but unfortunately no ability to make reservations. Frankly sometimes you have to flag down servers to get refills or another round.

Peter Xaymountry
Peter Xaymountry

My wife and I came here with her family to celebrate her mom birthday. This place used to let you call ahead and put your name on the waitlist but now it's first come first serve. I personally think that's a horrible way to do things, they should take reservation or let you put your name down if you're on the way to speed up the process. We waited about an hour to be seated and the workers seem confuse on where to take us. Our chief was Mario and he was awesome. I got the sumo Filet Mignon and I thought it was okay, needed more seasoning but it was cooked perfectly to medium rare. The atmosphere here is okay but just be aware the floor can be slippery or dirty. The plaza that this place is at is very quiet, especially since a lot of stores closed down so if you have to wait to be seated you won't have places to visit to burn time. The parking here won't be an issue because there are a lot of spots to choose from.

Super long wait times we didn't get seated for about 72minutes and when we went to the bar area it was busy aswell and when we finally got the drink it wasnt what we ordered, we were able to get it swapped once seated. The food was good but there was really only one good sauce. The hibachi chef did a great job and was carismatic asking if the baby might be scared of the fire.

Michael Mitchell
Michael Mitchell

The food was great but service was really really bad. Took about 15 minutes for someone to take my drink order, then lord help you when the drink ran out because you would have to wait another 10 minutes or more for someone to check on you and do a refill. Food was great, but service for the cost was very underwhelming.

Yamato restaurant have a gorgeous decoration, very traditional Japanese style. And they have a beautiful koi fish pond that makes it even more traditional. The services is fine, they are very friendly and kind, but we order six meal and the appetiser come last is not very professional. The food is good, especially the Yamato Ramen is delicious. For the sashimi 8 pcs for 10$ is a very good price, and Sushi is very delicious too. However, Yakisoba is not my taste because for me is very bland it have no flavour. Overall, the place is good some of the food bland some of them is delicious, Decoration is very unique. !!! Must visit !!!

D

I enjoy coming here the food is always so delicious. The biggest issue is it takes forever to be seated and begin eating. Sometimes you wait for an hour to even be called to your table and a significant wait period for them to actually start making the food. I'll keep coming but I just don't go as often.

M
Melanie Knaack

The food I ate tasted good good, however the price you pay, you would expect more food. This young gal that started waiting on me started off really well, however, she totally forgot about me once I got my main course. I was left just sitting there, and other workers there noticed me and were very kind to help me. For $33, I was served very little food. Usually when you go to Asian restaurants, the portions are more than you can eat. Most of the time. They're very generous. I've had appetizers that were more food than what I got for a main course and an appetizer combined. I'm very displeased, and like I said before the service that I received was very subpar.

Benihana or Yamato? Well, they both have creative Volcano shows. The food here is Ok. Nothing to brag about. The Miso Soup was blend. Almost no Flavor. Just a couple of Tofu. Salad was Ok. Had the Filet mignon and Tuna combination. The Filet was tender but had too much sauce. I didn't order Teriyaki. Tuna was ok. Would I come here again? Yeah, would I recommend it? Not really

Yamato is the only Japanese steak house that I have been to in Southern California. I first visited about five years ago. Since, I have probably been once a year. I’m sad to say that each time I have gone, the experience has gotten worse. I last visited January 2024 for a lunch service, and it was the worse experience yet. When we were sat down at our hibachi table, I noticed that there were about 3 tables that had not been served yet. Maybe 2 tables were being served at that moment. So, by the time that the other three tables had been served and the chef arrived to our table, we had already been seated for an hour and fifteen minutes. When our chef arrived, he discovered that the hibachi burners were not turned on. Therefore he turned them on and walked away while waiting for them to heat up. Obviously this wasn’t his fault but it delayed the service even more. The food was definitely not worth the price paid. The portion sizes were much smaller than what I have experienced at other Japanese steakhouses in other cities. I ordered chicken and shrimp. The chicken was way overcooked and dry. The other guests at our table ordered scallops. I noticed that they were also way overcooked, some of which were burnt. The other guests also ordered a side of brown rice. After waiting for several minutes they asked the waitress and she didn’t have an explanation of the delay. Several minutes later they asked again and still no explanation. Finally the chef had to get involved and asked the waitress to go to the back and get an answer. Finally their rice came. At the end of the service, the manager came out and apologized for all the delays and poor quality of service. In total, we were there about two hours. He offered a complimentary dessert to the other guests at our table as compensation. I’m not sure why they were the only ones offered this. I think it would have been more appropriate to comp them the rice that showed up incredibly late at a minimum. We paid over $120 for a lackluster lunch service for two adults and one child. Definitely not worth it. We left Yamato and said to each other, “thats probably the last time we’ll eat there.”

I only go here for a cheap bite of sushi. The sushi is okay but it is $2.50 so it's good for a rushed or cheap lunch. The staff is never around, waiters are so bad. They can't keep anyone employed there. Sometimes it is not fresh so I always ask the chefs to make it new for me. I think the staff is really the biggest problem. They aren't friendly either. I had to ask 5 times for a check within an hour before I walked to the front and it took them 15 minutes to figure it out. I've watched a girl throw her apron onto the sushi and walk out. I got yelled at by a waitress for asking for the check, and I was being polite. The most unorganized place. They're notorious for not getting tipped. But if you want cheap sushi, sushi, always ask them to make it fresh, and go to the front to pay your bill.

The place itself is nice, as are the staff, but the food is terrible. We ordered online, and they forgot part of our order, but the staff was quick to rectify that, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the meat we ordered was almost entirely fat, making it inedible, and the takoyaki not only didn't have any octopus, the dough was entirely raw. I would've given one star, but as stated previously, the staff were amazing. Definitely won't be returning.

I haven't been to one of these places in a while. From what I remember and what I see on social media it's supposed to be fun and exciting.... not the experience I thought we were going to get. Maria our cheif wasn't enthusiastic or didn't seem like she wanted to be there. Wasn't interacting with the table at all... burned the hell out of the food especially the fried rice. It wasn't worth the trip and the price.... reminded me why I don't go to places like these. Waiter was awesome, I wish I got his name

We were there for almost half an hour before they came with menus, all of our drinks were brought out at the same time except for 1 that came 20 minutes later and only because we kept asking thw servers about it. The food came out not complete , mu husbands plate looked different from the picture before they left it I asked if that was the NYSteak fried rice and she said yes when asked about the rice she said it will come shortly again 15 minutes later by that time the rest of the food was cold . We asked for our checks and she brought it, I told her my husband's meal was charged wrong by 14 dollars, she said let me look and see what we could do . Some guy with colored hair came and said sorry but you have to pay for what was brought out I told my husband didn't even eat because what they gave him had mushrooms. We paid the check and so did my sister but she did it with a card we waited like 15 minutes and no one came to bring her ard back , my niece went inside and asked and they said oh it's coming in a bit ,bu that time we are walking over to see the Koi and we saw her card sitting by the exit on an empty table.

**updated*** Beware employees find your post on Google and yelp to react and comment on them*** We walked in an asked for a seat at the sushi bar and Samantha told us it would be 15 minutes. After 5 minutes two gentlemen came in and they asked for a seat at sushi bar and were sat down. They weren't told it would be 15 minute wait. They didn't even put their name down. Kai the other girl at front host desk asked did you sign in and they said no, but they still took them back to go eat. My husband got up and went to say we have been waiting and Kai and Samantha said oh you were waiting. It's insane how customer service has gone totally down hill. When my husband complained Lucas another at the desk interjected and said we had to wait and that there was no one to help blah blah blah. Then my husband said well why you take those gentlemen and then they proceeded to sit up down. As we were walking away Kai and Samantha thought it was funny and laughed like little girls. Horrible customer service. Need better more professional customer service/host people. We asked for manager unfortunately it was a different one than normal. We spoke to him and let him know, but he didn't seem to bothered or anything and didn't apologize. We ordered sushi and it came quick, but when we needed refills or anything else they never came back. It took us forever to get our check to get out of there. Never will come back here. This place needs to either get there stuff together or close down! **2nd update** We usually love the sushi here, but service is lacking like crazy. In the photo I attached the seats were empty and we were told it was a 20 minute wait. We wait 20 minutes and when I went to ask what is taking so long the girl says there are no servers. Service sucks and on top of that the manager has such a horrible attitude. I managed to see how he treats his workers. One of the young men were going to hit the drum which they do for birthdays and he quickly and rudely grabbed the stick and said go. The worker looked so bothered. The next incident happened when he went to get the sushi he grabbed way to many and he dropped the plate and blamed it on the worker. The poor sushi guy making sushi had to pick up the broken plate while manager didn't even care he just walked away. Im sorry, but that is horrible manager skills. To top it off he walks around just bossing people around then helping them out. Girls at front counter are not friendly at all. This place has really gone down hill. You think the hiring sign would be huge, but its super small and on the front door.

For the second time. It smells like a urinal in the entire restaurant. I’m sure the plumbing just needs to be fixed in that place but, it wasn’t pleasant eating with that odor wafting through your nostrils. I was fear that I would suffer later after the feast but it was fine. Food was good. The Sushi is usually good. But please clean up the place and not be a slumlord restaurant owner! Just stop if you don’t care about your establishment anymore. And donate the Koi Fish to Huntington Library.

I was not impressed by the cook, I was further not impressed by him giving an entirely different party 6 of my shrimps from my filets mignon & shrimp combo. I honestly wanted to tell him to give them the rest and serve me an entirely new dish. I think I'll call tomorrow and complain actually.

This place has really gone downhill over the years. We went last night for a bday celebration, like we do every year, and wow... So not impressed! First thing was how horribly gross the bathrooms were. The floors, the toilets, lack of toilet paper, etc. It was disgusting. Second, How does not taking reservations because of covid make sense? We had a large group and ended up having to wait a long time, even being there at 5pm, and not get to eat at the same time as everyone in our group. Lastly, almost everyone in our group, except a few or so, got extremely sick. Like almost didn't make it home sick. This is absolutely unacceptable. We used to love this place and come here often, but we will absolutely never come back.

So sad. We used to come here every few weeks. This will be our last time. The basic sushi was flavorless and cut very thin. Couldn't taste the tuna in the spicy tuna and the albacore was ragged looking. Badly cut fish. Service was terrible. The server didn't bring us set ups though we asked several times. The chef finally gave us a teaspoon of Wasabi and some ginger. We ordered a couole of special rolls and one of them wasn't what we ordered. We weren't even tempted to try it. Maybe the teppan is okay. The grills were busy.

Went there for mother's day. Though had reservations, waited an hour to be seated. Waited almost another hour for a chef at tepan table. Raised prices by $10 per person and refused to honor menu prices, saying we received menu in error. Sat 10 at a table for 8 - way too crowded an unable to keep all plates in front of us. They were totally unprepared for amount of customers and thought nothing of inconvenience, expense or discomfort. Any business so disinterested in their customers does not deserve my business. Dinner with our family was wonderful. How dare you knowingly ruin it.

Very disappointed and 😡 with the Manager , waiter and service never came back to see if we needed refills or if we were all right to see if everything was good 😡 one of my guest did not get their food they just forgot to take it to her. they said oh yes, we had it but we forgot 😡 they’re like do you still want it of course not everybody else had finished eating no apology .but when they brought the bill they had the tip on there already on for 18% . I asked if they could reduce the tip to 15%. Since they had forgotten to serve one of my guests . they Didn’t do it very upsetting. We were a party of seven.😡

It took 32 minutes to bring one lunch bowl i ordered and the salmon collar was burned to a crisp and they still charged me even though i didn’t eat the salmon snd showed them front desk. Crazy. Also fyi it wasn’t even packed.

Still meh and very sneaky, even after years of being here. Crazy how little they have to try. People love the show I guess. Nothing about the food is anything great. You would think they would at least improve the sauce used for the food. Oh and don't say it's your birthday. They'll sneak in a birthday lava cake and performance and charge you for it even though you didn't ask for it. I wonder how many people pay extra gratuity since they aren't upfront about adding gratuity ahead of time

We had a party of eight. We were sat at a table where they prepare the meal in front of you. Two of these other tables were open with zero patrons. We ordered drinks. We then ordered our meals. 4 of us ordered sushi. 4 of us ordered meals to be prepared in front of us. The manager came over a few minutes later and said we had to move tables. We did not order enough prepared meals to justify them letting us stay at this table!! We have been coming here for over ten years. Never been told this before. We almost walked out. Totally disrespectful. We will now find a new Japanese restaurant to satisfy our tastes. I know this place does not care but they have list a long time customer whose family used to enjoy this place. I wonder if there are new owners

Terrible customer service!!! My husband wanted all you can eat i did not. Because I didn't want all you can eat. We could not sit together lol wth .apparently this restaurant must serve folks who share food alot. That was their reason

Sat at the booths and food looked nothing like it did when seated at the grill. Food was unseasoned and looked like it wasn’t even cooked on the grill.

We had a special occasion planned for a Saturday night and called to make a reservation to be sure to get a table. I was informed that they wouldn't take a reservation. So, we showed up thinking we were early enough to get a table. I was told the wait would be an hour. That seems to be a rediculous amount of time to be expected to wait for a table. I heard other people complaining about the wait time. One group said they were actually going to go home to wait. We didn't want to wait that long to have dinner or spend an hour of our special evening together standing in a parking lot. The facility was extremely crowded so the only place to wait was outside. By the time they finally texted to say our table was ready it had been over an hour and we were already eating in another nice restaurant where we ended up having a great evening I would not return here unless they started taking reservations and treating their customers more respectfully.

im not one to make reviews, i usually move on but this has happened one too many times. I come here all the time usually to dine in but i did take out this time. I personally like my steak medium well but there medium well is always more medium so i order well done, the reciept also clearly says well done. This is not the first time i have spent over $40 for a steak i am not going to eat. Their quality has gone down here, there rice which used to be the best was so stale and bland tasting as well. this place has become disappointing
