I've been coming here anytime I'm in town for the last 20 years. It's still my favorite restaurant. Chef O is wonderful. All the staff work together incredibly to create a superb experience for their customers. I'll definitely be back!

Food was so delicious!!! The chicken Alfredo oh my gosh totally worth it and the Penn Piccanti is a must try when you visit this place. The place is very welcoming made us feel right at home. Everyone so friendly. KAREN was so nice 😊

Pizza by slice 🍕 Food: after bar hopping on a Saturday night, this is the place to get a good slice of pizza before you head home. Nothing too fancy but it hits the spot. Service: the pizza maker was very kind, quick, and accurate with my order. Though the restaurant is closed, a window is open for you to buy pizza slices in the late night. Final thought: You can't beat it when there is a late night Italian restaurant open to serve you slices of cheese and pepperoni pizza.

My family and I stumbled upon here while on vacation. It was amazing. The waiter was super friendly and very warm and welcoming. She explained how it was 2 men (I think brothers) from Italy who opened this place. The food did not fall short oh my goodness. I got fettuccine with chicken and it was amazing, so warm and delicious, definitely made with love. I ended up taking my leftovers and ate them when I got home because I just couldn't get enough !!! 10/10 was AMAZING (also get the breast it was incredible)

Tonight’s dinner was absolutely sublime. As a drink, I chose the Pantera Rosa and was delightfully surprised - the texture was smooth, the mixture a delicate balance that pleases the tastebuds but did not overwhelmed the senses. I had the Minestrone, which was delicious. For my main course, I had the Piccata di Pollo al Limone e Capperi. It was sensational. The chicken literally felt like it melted in my mouth and the lemon was just the right amount. It enhanced and did not overpower. The seasonal vegetables that accompanied the main course were done to perfection. I followed up with a dessert named Chocolate Temptation. It was a wonderful cap to the meal. Additionally, all of the staff but especially our server, Giancarlo, were amazing. Giancarlo ensured that we had a lovely and awesome dining experience from the time we walked in the door until the time we left. His recommendations were on point and he was gracious with answering the questions I had. He was amiable, humorous, knowledgeable, and attentive. I would be honored to dine at il Farro again, and I hope Giancarlo would be there to provide service as his presence culminated in a fantastic dining experience.

Excellent Italian restaurant! Our servers both times were very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend the lobster ravioli and the salad with tomatoes, carrots and onions and add the salmon! Sooo delicious we went back again for lunch!

Last night we stopped by LL Farro. We were promptly seated. We were also greeted by Chef O! We ordered bread and stuffed squash blossoms. For our main dish we ordered halibut with farro and spaghetti. Everything was great. It was great meeting Chef O and Fernando.

First timer, I love the service the restaurant and the food was delicious. The Argula salad, the soup and my pasta dish was delicious and creamy. Oh my goodness can’t wait to return. Update we kept coming back many times after the first time because the food tastes soo gooood!!

We walked over and found Il Farro. The place was full of people enjoying the most beautiful Italian cuisine I've ever seen. I thought there was no way we would get a table but the owner greeted us and told us no problem he would seat all four of us. We had some wonderful cocktails, some beautiful Italian seafood and fresh pasta and closed the meal with a wonderful lemon sorbet that was out of this world, I can't recommend this place enough. This is a gem in Newport Beach and all of California for that matter! Also, special mention... the stuffed squash blossoms were out of this world.

Tiramisu was a highlight, as it should be in an Italian restaurant. We also got the creme brulee which was immediately devoured. The dessert menu had maybe 10 options!

All I can say is wow! My family & I visited Newport Beach for the first time and were on the search for somewhere at the beach to have a nice dinner. We were blown away! The service was outstanding, and the food was some of the best we’ve ever had. The lobster & crab ravioli was to die for! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I’ll be dreaming about Il Farro until we come back!

What a great find near the Newport Pier. Bumped into this place last year when on vacation and made it one of our first restaurant stops this year. I had Lobster Ravioli and my wife had Lasagna - so good. What made the experience so enjoyable was not only the great food but our server Kaimana. What an interesting and fun guy to talk to and discovered he’s a surfing instructor too!

This place is AMAZING. Stopped here for a last dinner on a work trip and was blown away. Service is friendly and attentive. Plus the food is flavorful and delicious. Will be back next time in town.

Went there with our family! It was an experience! From being seated to served! We had an amazing server and she assisted with direction with navigating our food choices. Very helpful! Strongly recommend if you are looking for some home made Italian go and try this out! The ambiance is so cute located right by the sand!

I wanted to take my mom someplace special for Valentine's Day because it's just us. After searching I came upon this restaurant and after reading all the wonderful reviews I knew this was the place!! We were early for our reservation (didn't know how long it would take to find parking) and we were warmly greeted at the door by Rose. She immediately said of course we could come in early and she went out of her way to make my mom, who uses a walker, feel right at home and to let her know if she needed anything. The food on their special VD dinner menu had great variety to choose from. My mom selected the Lobster Ravioli and I chose the Pollo alla Florentina. Both dishes were excellent & plentiful!! My dish had asparagus & mashed potatoes to complete it. BUT let me tell you about the Chocolate Mousse for dessert. O.M.G. It was divine!!!! Not to sweet not to bitter, just an overall smooth and incredibly rich chocolate flavor. We could not have been more pleased with our dinner & first experience there. Coralee was the perfect server/bartender, keeping the food & drinks flowing, especially as the restaurant was really starting to fill up by time we left. We will definitely go back!! Highly recommend.

Amazing experience here! We had a small intimate wedding ceremony for our family with a reception and the MOST AMAZING FOOD & SERVICE by people who immediately felt like FAMILY! I highly recommend this restaurant for everyday dining and small private events. The food, the wine, and the atmosphere were incredible. We started with the Pizza Margherita (organic BTW), then salad, then the Farro La Primavera, which amazing!!! Next it was their delicious Lasagna, then Tiramisu. You will absolutely love it all no doubt! We will certainly be back for more.

The saffron spinach ravioli was amazing! It was creamy and satisfying, something unique and a must try. Lasagna and handmade pastas are all incredible though. I thought the zucchini blossoms were way too battered, losing the delicate flower. Overall, a fabulous family dining experience!

All of the pastas were delicious and so flavorful ! The Bolognese was amazing as was the homemade tiramisu ! Nice little family owned place ! Highly recommend !

Italian music playing, nice quiet restaurant, right on the beach. Very nice place. My girlfriend ordered a four-cheese pasta and got lobster pasta on accident. The owner corrected the mistake as soon as her complaint was made, and her four cheese pasta was delivered to the table. Five star service.

My friend visiting from out of town and I went in for lunch, and the food was so good, the ambiance felt like we were in Italy, and we loved it all. I had the lobster ravioli, and it was amazing. Great place to eat plus you get the fabulous ocean breeze of Newport Beach. Will definitely go back!

Great food and great service! The gluten free pizza was one of the best we have ever had! The Aperol Spritz was delicious as well.

I came here with a group of coworkers visiting from Texas, I had the lemon cello Margarita which I enjoyed because it was strong and easy to drink. The service was amazing right from the door. My friends enjoyed their food as well. Overall I love the energy here. Also do not order your steak well done it may not turn out right.

Nice Italian place to enjoy a pizza or some pasta while visiting the beach. The service is friendly and the beach is right around the corner! They also serve fancy desserts.

They were very friendly and didn't act like our huge group was a burden, and just gave us an accurate estimated wait time and managed to put together enough tables and chairs for us within that time. Honestly impressive. The kitchen paced out our meal pretty well given the size of our group, also. They have a sizable wine list with good options, and a menu that will suit all tastes but isn't so large so as to paralyze you with indecision. I had the farro milanese, which I really enjoyed. Portion was a good but not egregious size, and the flavor of the saffron sauce was beautiful. The creaminess combined with the bite of the perfectly cooked farro was wonderful, and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Overall great dish. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food as well.

The ambiance is lacking due to location by bars. It's just noisy and distracting. The servers are nice but their prices on food are high and for glasses of wine and quality way too pricey.

Service 100% eggplant appetizer good. Bread with olive oil great. I wished the caprese used a more flavorful tomato. I went out on a limb and tried a chefs recommendation. I should have stayed save but when in Rome. Just a little bit more flavor would have been great.

Check your bill! Bad experience in our visit to il Farro Restaurant on Sept 13. We were charged unlawfully with 20% as a tip, we were a party of 2. Their menu shows that they automatically charge 20% tip for a party of 5 or more. As well the waiter charged us with a more expensive wine.

The food was not good. Very plain. We got the calamari with marinara sauce. The sauce was very very plain and no seasoning to really taste. Also got the Alfredo, and reminded me of just a plain Alfredo sauce and not enough seasoning for that either! Would not go back.
