I love Popeyes I wish I could eat it every day but my gluten allergy only lets me have it once in a while so I won't do so much damage to myself! I no longer eat red meats or chicken, so I have either fish or shrimp. If you haven't tried the shrimp po'boy, you must!

The biscuits were hot and of a terrific texture later in the evening which is impressive. The fact that there was still specific pieces chicken available that was moist was also a plus.

Good place. The food was as expected. The young gentleman was quick, professional, and uncharacteristically kind. I greatly appreciated it and will continue to patron the establishment due to him. Other than that, the line in drive thru was long but I wasn't in drive thru. It's always long, due to the popularity of Popeye's.

I love this place. There is something nostalgic about the chicken strips, Cajun fries, and the biscuit. Fun fact the first time I ever had Popeyes was when I was being held hostage and forced to go through the drive thru by someone who got into my car with a gun in Indianapolis at 38th and Keystone at a red light. Turned out he had a hankering for the chicken too!

Lovely service at the drive thru. I was probably the last customer for the night at 11pm,and they were super kind and made me a custom meal from whatever was available. More importantly, they were cheerful with beautiful smiles. My first ever time at Popeye's- went there in a pinch. Food wasn't bad either.

My first time having Popeyes outside of an airport even tho i ordered this through DoorDash i was pleasantly surprised with how fresh my chicken sandwich tasted. I had a busy week and made a stop for a spicy chicken combo with biscuit and a side. I ordered it to go since I am used to the restaurant having one or two characters sitting by the tables with some loud angry energy. This time I went in to pick up my food and was greatly surprised by a lovely smell of food ☺️, no Fabuloso or bathroom smell but just delicious food! The store was sparkling clean and a warm person welcomed me (am I dreaming??). Her name was Antonia and she brought my order and read it aloud while giving it to me. New management, I guess!! Definitely recommend 👍🏽

When I first moved to Oakland I worked in the plaza at the Bank of the West right next to this Popeyes and I've seen it change drastically. It's improved with their cleanliness and the service & speed are sensational. I bought my favorite go to meal, 3 spicy strip meal. The food was hit and tasted fresh. If I'm ever craving Popeyes, like today, then this is my go to.

There was a line when I went there and we eat here roughly once a week. The reason I gave 4 stars is because they got my order wrong a couple of times. The food was good and hot but not exactly what I ordered. It was too far to drive back to get a replacement.

I ate the chicken sandwich for the 1st time this afternoon. I loved it, their buns are really good. I usually eat half of the bun on a burger or sandwich, because i don't like alot of bread. But i ate all of it, it was buttery and toasted. Next time i'll try the spicy. Good job Popeyes,

Always enjoy Popeye's fried chicken, especially the spicy. The food is consistent. The sides can be really good, red beans and rice, mac n cheese or just ok, cole slaw, french fries. The biscuits are always good but have definitely gotten smaller.

Decent Popeyes they make the food right mostly every time. I was disappointed to arrive last visit to find the lobby closes before posted hours online. They accept EBT hot foods but You cannot use EBT after 9pm or in drive thru. I arrive at 9:02 and was turned away. The drive thru stays open a little longer until posted hours but come early because they were out of most menu items once lobby closed. service was nice someone came out to explain everything to me and employees are always pleasant here. Popeyes delivers what they promise each and every time. Staff is friendly and efficient. I left my Dopp bag there after a visit and an employee named Carmen brought it to my house. I use the bag for my ID, CREDIT CARDS and MONEY. That is WAY above regular customer service.

Chicken was not fresh from the other day they last cooked chicken the grease was old. It was just opening since the other day and it was no smell of fried chicken cooking or none being dropped. I only ate the chicken because I am a diabetic and I had to put something in my stomach ASAP which I regurgitate is it later.

This place is more on than off. The chicken and food are all decent. The light on the outdoor menu doesn't turn on. The LED telling you the cost doesnt work. The box passing money food and money is very thick and for the night i went, they were only accepting cash. Despite all of this, I give it 4 stars. Because the apple pie is better than Macdonald's and because the food is good. And I've only had bad chicken here once during off hours.

My boyfriend and I happened to see the Popeyes commercial and said let's go get for dinner. It has been a long time eating Popeyes. The price is much higher. The sides say large but look like a medium size. We got 10 pieces family meal. We wanted green beans and corn on cobb they said we don't have here at this location. We got Mac cheese and beans with rice. The cups wasn't filled up it was like halfway. I was disappointed.

Food was great but if you want good French fries ask for them fresh and hot out of the grease. The big downside is the fact that they have become a little too expensive and need to think about dropping prices or having more meal deals.

In general the food here is pretty okay. The service is generally not great, but the thing that makes me want to give less than three stars is their absolutely abysmal compliance with mask mandates and general Covid safety. I stopped going for almost a year because of this and if I wasn’t fully vaccinated and pretty confident in my own safety I still would not go to this restaurant. Visit at your own risk.

Ok place and chicken stilled tasted good but they horribly messed up the order and it wasn't very busy. Most likely because of the area but they have a bullet proof sliding drawer for you to get food through at the drive-thru. They were probably glad to have because they really didn't have to add much with the Covid requirements.

I love their food, including the choices of the sides. However, why do they always miss an order or two? Also, a piece of apple pie ($2) to replace a cheese cake ($4)? This keeps happening at all nearby shops, not only at this location. Something needs to be fixed. They are quick to fix the problem but I am getting tired.

Picked up order of their shrimp, fries and biscuit special for $5.99... You can't get chicken by the piece. Combo meals are very expensive for chicken.... the cheapest is for $13.. although you can go there on Tuesdays for 2 pieces of chicken only for $3.29 & they don't tell you that on their Popeye's chicken app... How disappointing... I'd rather go to Kentucky fried chicken.

So I was trying to catch the chicken sandwich wave. And they were sold out everywhere So I took Popeye's advice and grab some bread headed over and got chicken tenders. You know it's just commercial fried chicken with some spices. The BBQ sauce was OK and made it more edible I wont be back

The manager here doesn't know what the public health code is. She is asking delivery drivers to fill drinks for customers, which is against the law, specifically California AB-3336. When I tried to explain the law to her, she acted very confused, and she insisted that the rules change all the time. The law has been the same for a few years now.

No public restroom for patronizing customers not even for seniors and /or children.pricey place to dine. The Cashier was very friendly. The chicken do not have the same seasoned flavor as before

It’s hard for me to write a bad review but this Popeyes just doesn’t do it for me. I can get the same order 3 times and the prices will vary wildly from $12 to $27 and no one can explain to me why. Additionally, I can come in and mention a promotion on the website and be told that it doesn’t exist. I genuinely love Popeyes but I can’t even go because I never know how much to budget. I’ve taken to doing 3-4 different mobile deals just to get an order to be consistent.

I think Popeyes chicken is better than other similar chicken chains like KFC. But this particular place had a lot of wait. I like the fact that parking is easy. Fairly clean building. Staffs could be a little bit more friendlier. Maybe was having a bad day? Other than that, tasty chickens. Yum yum Update 10.18.2018 Last 2 visits, they messed up my order. They forgot and had confusion among themselves. Their "spicy" chicken tastes the same as mild chicken. (reason for downgrade to 2 stars)

It's been a few times they've played dumb and added biscuits to my order, charging extra, even though I clearly stated chicken only at the drive-thru. I don't care if the manager tell them to boost sale or not. It violates SB 478. Do it one more time, and I'm going to report it to the Department of Consumer Affairs.

The open at 10 we waited 35 minutes for them to open.We ordered 1 gallon of tea a 2 piece wings with lemon -aid. First they had no gallon tea because none was made the night before so ordered a large tea. They asked we wanted ice we said yes. We get to the window and got a tea without ice and 2 piece thigh and leg no biscuit. The only thing they got right the lemon-aid. SMH

We went thru the Drive thru of this Popeyes. Located in a sketchy part of town you'd think plenty of light would surround the store. Instead it's dark. Even the Popeyes signs had no light. It was difficult to read the menu in the dark. Worse yet they screwed up our order. Bad location, bad crew. Will never return.

I walked in on a Thursday around 6:30p.m and ordered 2 spicey Chicken Sandwiches and 1 regular Chicken Sandwich and a Tender Happy Meal with Barbecue Sauce. I don't live very close so when i got home i opened the bag and there was 2 Chicken Sandwiches and they weren't Spicey and a Happy meal with no sauce. I was missing a chicken Sandwich so my son comes over to pick up his daughter and i tell him to check my car maybe one Sandwich fell out the bag. No Sandwich so now i am mad i call the store and no answer. I don't want to cook tonight the food was for my husband when he gets home. So i get everything back in the bag make sure i have my receipt and Lord behold i can't find my keys. My son stays in Vallejo called me and tells me he has my keys by mistake and he's too far to turn around. I will never leave a food place without checking my order. I end up cooking and i work at 11p.m which means i got no rest before I went to work.

At this Popeyes I experienced a little racism. I actually wad visiting neighboring xfinity and stopped by the Popeyes to get a sandwich and use the bathroom. I specifically told the cashier that I would like to buy a sandwich and coleslaw and use the bathroom. Before I made my purchase. After I got my receipt I asked the cashier to use the restroom and he looked at me and motioned for me to hold on. He then went to another worker and they told me the restroom was out of service, even though there is no sign. Only when I asked for a refund. Did they let me use the restroom

This Popeyes closed the dinning room early 845pm sign says is open until 9pm. Then when you go through drive through you cannot see the menu at night because the lights are out. Then I have to knock on the window in order to get any condiments and fork. Then I leave instead of the 3 piece they charge me for I had a 2 piece had to return for the correct order. Employees have a don't care attitude.

I honestly wish I could give this place no stars. While placing my order I asked the woman if I could use the bathroom. I traveled for 4 hrs..she told me that it was OK to use the bathroom. When I came out the bathroom I literally had a woman yelling at me telling me I couldn't use the bathroom smh I traveled from a far and I spent over $40. Customer service was HORRIBLE! Customers kept coming in because their order was messed up. Do not waste your time eating here! THUMBS DOWN

This particular one was not good. I've had better. I had the 2 piece spicy all white and it was overcooked and dry. Mybside was red beans and rice. The little cup they put it in wasn't even 2/3rd full with very little rice. I asked for hot sauce, butter, and honey and the person put in 1 napkin and the spoon. I was in the drive thru so when I finally parked to eat I saw I had no condiments. Not that good overall.

They turn off the drive thru light for the menu so that you think it’s closed. Or they say their system is down so that you don’t order. Who is running this place? Maybe try to order online and screenshot your order number just in case you need a refund…

The food fee's are union rates and the menu similar to the other Chicken outlets. Extra side entries $3 plus and its hygiene and overall behavior didnt fair well with me at all. Churchs Chicken was medium price, variety menu, clean, pleasant behavior and fair drink price. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER

They seem to always run out of items on Tuesdays during their "Special" 2 piece: either no mild or no spicy leg or thigh. Also, going through the drive thru, they will run your debit card and NOT render a receipt. When you ask for one, they act like you just asked for a free wing. Picking up pre-ordered app delivery from this Popeye's location, I wasn't allowed to go straight into the counter and lobby area but was forced to get this presumably ready-to-go order from the drive-through. After waiting 10-15 minutes and making it to the microphone, I informed the clerk I was picking up this to-go order, at which point I was informed that they were out of stock of that item, and instead of cancelling as they should have, they waited for me to drive all the way there, waste my time in line as though I was ordering something, and then had the audacity of asking me to call the customer to inquire if he/she would like something else (this item had been paid for). I called the customer, who predictably didn't answer, and then manually cancelled the order. To top it all off, I was trapped in the drive-through for another 10-15 minutes with another delivery getting cold in my passenger's seat. Bad form Popeye's... bad form.

I was ordering online and it took me to the app at check out. The location auto changed to my last location. I immediately noticed it and called the wrong locstion and they canceled the order. Popeyes refused to give me a refund for the incorrect order even after the location canceled it. Its very bad buisness. Simply theft . Luckily I could order again. This could have been many peoples last dollar. I will never do buisness any a place like this again.

I’m not sure where to begin! But the power trip that some of these employees get is crazy! If you happen to be low or no income and you have a EBT CARD, do not go here! The workers have a vendetta against anybody in the store that gets snap! Small lesson on SNAP, you can have a JOB, and still HAVE A EBT CARD. This does not mean you are POOR! And you shouldn’t be treated any less then because you have tha card! I pre ordered an order on my phone and paid with Apple Pay! When I went to retrieve my food I decided to place another order using my mothers EBT card and the bad built , mid 30’s to 40’s lady DENIED ME BECAUSE OF IT AND I SAID I HAD TO USE MY CARD! WHO told her I had a card? Right. I asked for a refund & she tried to tell me several times she couldn’t process it because I paid for it online , if I don’t want the food you cannot force me to keep it run the money back! It’s sad that somebody will tell you how to spend your money , not only that but coworkers in the back talking about me while I’m standing there assuming because I’m black , I cannot understand Spanish! Throw the whole Popeyes away. And make sure every body back there hours get cut so they can get a snap card since it’s that serious!!

This restaurant had the nastiest food I ever tasted a Popeye's in my life. While we were in the lobby are disgusting food what are the people in the restaurant cut his hand on the corner of the counter and was walking all over the kitchen preparing food trying to get his thumb to stop bleeding as we left I told the manager that was sitting on the lobby on the corner with her feet up on the table talking on the phone there's somebody in the kitchen with serving food with a bloody finger. The shrimp was so dry it out you could not literally to it the fish was so hard I tried to complain about it and she said that's what I orderedthe sauces were so dried out you couldn't hardly get them out of the containerrealizing we were in a ghetto we tried not to make a disturbance if I would have been in my hometown I would have had the place shut down if anyone could tell me how to get my money back India promised a good meal in a restaurant that I thought what a franchise of a good corporation I would appreciate it thank you bless you all and don't eat at Popeye's in Oakland seriously the kid that cut his finger now was continuously talking about the freshman that he was doing in the weekend before turn
