Pop Thai Restaurant Orlando Reviews
I aam in town just visiting Orlando for the weekend. I must this is restaurant is a MUST GO TO!!! The food is AMAZING!! We are foodies - absolutely love Thai food. This Thai restaurant had the best soft chicken satay, with some awesome drunken noodles, and some amazing pineapple fried rice! I always struggle with the meat at these type of restaurant - this was one that I had no complaints with! Service was awesome. Our server, , was super sweet. She was the ONLY server in the restaurant with about 4-5 tables full. She was phenomenal, super friendly, and on point! Definitely recommend this place!! **just a little on the pricey end**.
I decided not to take my phone into the restaurant so no pictures on this review… sorry but I will say pop Thai has a nice, warm and welcoming feeling when you enter. They were very attentive to us and reminded us the kitchen was closing in case we wanted to order anymore food or desert which I thought was very thoughtful. I has the Stars and Stripes roll and the JB roll. I didn’t like the taste of warm cream cheese on the JB roll. I know it was a fried roll but I guess having hot cream cheese was an afterthought. The stars and strips was very tasty except they didn’t leave the tuna nice square pieces. They beat the tuna here. When I say that I mean they cut it and cut it and chop it until it’s mush. I feel that it takes the integrity away from the fish and doesn’t taste the same. The appetizer combo A was delicious and the mango sake was perfect. #tryit Update: pop Thai is doing great. I had the Stars and Stripes again and my boyfriend told me I didn’t complain about the mushy tuna. It was good. This time we had the fried gyozas which where delicious and not greasy. My boyfriend ordered the drunken rice and omg…. Delicious!!!! I couldn’t pin what I was tasting. Maybe mint leaves or ginger but it wasn’t like this greasy nasty rice I usually get from my local Asian place. The meat was tender, the peppers were cooked but still crunchy. Which was great cause who like mushy peppers! #musttry
Fantastic! Great food, great service great atmosphere! We had the steamed dumplings, and the garlic edamame.. Both were excellent.. The garlic edamame is super flavorful.. The Similian Island was great and the Fresh hot basil was really yummy too.. I think I have a new favorite Thai place..
Finally got to try this very metro version of That food. First, the place is immaculate! Clean lines and clear air make it easy to relax. Second, the ginger tea rocks. Third, the food was fresh and cooked perfectly. I expected more pop in the flavor, but I finished my whole plate. They have tons of dishes; definitely going back for more.
I tried this place for the first time today and it didn’t disappoint. We had the Pop Thai fried rice, fried cream cheese wonton, Thai crackle shrimp, tofu panang curry, pad se-ew, tamago nigiri, and unagi nigiri. All of the food was good, except I don’t think the fried cream cheese wonton actually had shrimp in it although it’s supposed to. The Pop Thai fried rice had a lot of lump crab meat, and shrimp. I got it medium, so it had a nice kick to it. It was delicious! The Thai crackle shrimp was crispy and good. Unfortunately the shrimp did have tails on them. The fried cream cheese wonton was good, except for the lack of shrimp. The tofu panang curry was good and had a nice kick to it, although it wasn’t very hot for how Thai hot should be, but honestly I haven’t been to a place where Thai hot is too hot for me, and I don’t have much spice tolerance. The pad se-ew, and both nigiris were good. I definitely want to come back and try some other dishes.
We came on Christmas Eve and had a great duck curry. Our server Wendy was very nice and helpful. Thank you for a nice evening.
This is one of the best Thai food I've had. Service was speedy and friendly. Also great for takeout.
Fantastic Thai food! First time we ate there I recognized the flavors, and sure enough, this restaurant is run by the previous owners of the Thai Place in Winter Park, FL! PopThai may be even better than the fantastic Thai Place was, and is certainly in the top 3 of Thai restaurants in Central Florida.
Great food. Happy atmosphere. The food came super fast and I wouldn't change anything about it. We definitely will be back.
Highly recommend this place! I ordered Tom yam with shrimps , large portion, and it was really delicious! A lot of shrimps and a little bit spicy, also edamame with garlic were amazing! Good price for good food !
This place has really good food! We started with the house wings which were amazing! For my main dish I had the dragon roll, the presentation of the dish was spectacular. My friend got the spider roll and her plate had a spider web on the side. My favorite thing I got was the Thai tea, i loved it so much I got one Togo.
The whole place is a vibe, the food is delicious and the server was awesome! Food came out quick will be coming back!!
I went to Pop Thai for Sunday lunch, and the experience was really enjoyable. They have a really nice hot ginger tea, as well as other hot teas and the standard sodas. We tried the spring rolls and the ebi roll- spring rolls were really hot and crunchy like they'd just come out of the frier, and the ebi roll was really tasty and fresh, with a nice crunch from all the veggies. We ordered some sushi rolls, a red shrimp curry, a Thai paradise (fried fish with green curry), and a salmon and avocado salad. The presentation on all of the dishes was beautiful, and everything was fresh and well prepared. The shrimp were great because they weren't over cooked, and were quite juicy. I would definitely come back here, although if you're looking for really authentically spicy Thai food, you'll have to specify that you want the heat - otherwise I would say the dishes are definitely adapted for western tastes/palates. They do have different heat levels, so you can ask for something spicier, so it's a great option if you're going with a group of people of varied taste buds since you should be able to ask them to adapt the dishes accordingly. The staff were really kind, and they checked up on us and cleared plates we left to the corner of the table. We didn't try any desserts this time, but their list looked interesting, and I would like to try their mango sticky rice next time (although that is seasonal, so it's not always available).
This is my second time coming here and it's just as good as the first. I brought my other friend who helped me move and he was blown away by the fresh, flavorful food. Ironically, I let him choose and he chose the same dishes I chose before. However, we did try the potstickers which was new and those were also delicious 😋
I saw Pop Thai on recent trip down Mill Avenue. Ordered T/O on their website. Easy to navigate and order. My order,Tom Ka,calamari and glass noodles, was ready when I arrived. The Tom Ka was very good. Large chunks of chicken and mushrooms in a fragrant coconut lemongrass broth. The fritter style calamari, while slightly chewy were very flavorful along with the plum dipping sauce. The glass noodles,Pad Woon Sen were lights out! Very generous portion. Large pieces of chicken, broccoli, zucchini, carrots and egg. Large open dining area with friendly staff. Drop on and get Thai'd up.
My wife and I wanted to stop somewhere different for dinner tonight, I have been eyeing this Pop Thai restaurant for a while but was resistant to try it. After give it a try this evening I have to say this will be one of my favorite Thai restaurants!! Gina our waitress was on point! Never had to ask for water refills, the food was fantastic very tasty. Service was fast, just a great place. I will return as soon as I can. Thanks for the great experience everyone!!
We stumbled upon this place by accident, but everything was so good. The food was so good. We ordered multiple dishes and they were all fresh and well prepared. The service was also a tentative and amazing. We will definitely be back.
All the food was fresh, tasty and quickly served. MAR was our server and he was top notch. He was friendly, accommodating and most efficient. Try this place soon!
We had the chicken satay, the papaya salad, and the Panang Curry. And Mango sticky. Food was excellent, service was too. Something that stood out to me was the Mango juice, it tastes just like the mango juice I used to get in a can as a child. Loved that.
Relaxing environment friendly staff. The food, oh wow, Delicious! Presentation of the dishes is yummy for the eyes.
such a wonderful experience! the food was yummy and fun, Ae was also an amazing server and took care of my friend miel and i 🫶 i cant recommend this place enough!!
Food was hot and fresh and tasted great, our waiter was so kind and never let my drink go empty will come back when I’m back in Orlando!
Went here on a whim and have zero regrets. Food was good, atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. Our waitress was great. They have a Thai Tea but no oat milk option for it, which I know is a challenge for some. There are vegetarian options. They do ask your spice level as well, so they know how to prepare the dish appropriately.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pop Thai on Mills Avenue is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food? Incredible. I had the cashew chicken, and my wife went with the sweet-and-sour shrimp—both were bursting with fresh flavors and perfectly cooked. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and the balance of spices was just right. The service was friendly and attentive, making the entire experience even better. This spot is officially on our must-visit list whenever we’re in the area. Can’t wait to come back!

Very tasty food. The service is super fast and everyone is very attentive. The green curry was comforting and flavorful, while the pad Thai was classic and worth ordering.

So delicious. We shared the rotti curry for our appetizer. I ordered Tom kha soup and my husband ordered a curry dish. Highly recommend.
We were greeted and sat immediately upon arrival. We ordered appetizer combo b, seafood pad thai, fried rice, pineapple fried rice, and the beef thai noodle soup. The servings are quite big. The food was served quickly but was fresh. The shrimp and the scallops in the pad thai were phenomenal! The staff was very friendly and restaurant was clean. I highly recommend.

Good food, decent portions, and not too pricey. The "hottest" was more like a medium for me. It's pretty difficult to screw up a yellow curry. It would've been nice to have a little more rice... Nice place for lunch! UPDATE: I returned and tried the Panang Curry with chicken. It was amazing!!! Again, the "Thai hot" was just hot... I think the Panang Curry would go better with shrimp.
Great restaurant with very friendly staff. Was able to strike a conversation about Thailand and spices with our waitress and she seemed to be happy to talk about it too. Food was delicious also, as well as good presentation, and with 2 enters for 2 people to share, got to try different flavours for this restaurant. If you happen to be in the area, this is with a stop
In the middle of Mills Lane's hustle and bustle, you'll find Pop Thai, a restaurant serving real Thai cuisine with flavors straight out of the Thai kitchen. Pop Thai Fried Rice, Drunken Noodles, Steamed Dumplings, and Roti Curry were just a few of the delectable dishes that showcased Pop Thai's culinary artistry over a recent early dinner. The food was delicious with every bite, and we were transfixed. Complete silemce at thbtable says something. Although the restaurant's seats offered a pleasant escape from the hustle and bustle outside, finding a parking spot at this popular spot was only a small inconvenience. Our server June's contagious energy—on her birthday, no less—made the service even more memorable, enhancing an already wonderful meal to a whole new level. If you're looking for authentic Thai food with a soul, Pop Thai is a must-visit restaurant.
Great food. Wife's dish did come out with a piece of hair, so we sent it back and the replacement was hair free and delicious (hence 4 vs 5 stars). Beef fried rice had very tasty beef and the brown rice substitute was great flavor. Would come here again.
Service was great! Almost too great 😅 The soup salad + dumplings add on to the lunch combo was amazing. I was slightly disappointed in my pad Thai, but it’s been so long since I’ve had it in general. They have nice portions though! The sauce just wasn’t for me, but my man scarfed down his Thai chili jam. We went in there Friday lunch & it was very chill.
Nice little Thai place in Colonialtown area of Orlando. Food and service were great. Pleasant relaxing decor, on street parking if lot is full. Prices seem fair for all menu items.
Great portions and good service Pad Thai a good portion the sticky rice on green I mean the normal color of the rice would have been fine more coconut will be great I would return and get spicier Thai food.

Great service and food. Pad Thai was a little overcooked and over use of oil. But otherwise soup and entree was good not salty nor bland.

It had been on my to try list in the Mills area and since I was close I decided to stop by. I was excited since I like Thai food but it feel short :( The girl that took me to the table was nice and attentive, but my server not so much. It seems that she was annoyed that she had to take my table for 1. I ordered the drunken noodles and unfortunately these were salty, did not tasty like basil and it did not have enough chicken for a basic portion. I don't think I will come back, since the flavor was not there for me.
Hit just about every place down mills, and unfortunately I think this is my least favorite. Stopped in before sunroom and the service was fast, friendly, place was clean, no issues there. Thai food is one of my absolute staples, and I had the Massaman curry and the cashew nuts dish. What I usually love about Thai food is the contrast of acid and spice and salt, and everything together, but this food was missing all of that. It was fairly bland other than the overwhelming taste of salt, the chicken was a bit overcooked and dry, and I didn’t finish my entire meal because there was nothing in it keeping me interested. If you’re maybe just getting into Asian food as a whole this will more than likely cater to your palate, but on a street like mills, someone who truly wants good Thai food has to go elsewhere.
