Lumpy's Diner Pittsburgh Reviews
Great vibe, great service, and amazingly yummy food no matter what you order, it's going to be delicious and delivered with a smile.
Best beacon cheese got dog ive ever had! The burger made it clear many visits would necessary. I've heard about Lumpy's for years but yesterday was my first visit. It was well worth it, not too mention affordable as well!
I just love going to Lumpy's Diner! The servers are simply phenomenal, kind, generous, engaging, and don't leave you hanging without refilling your drinks! The food is absolutely delicious and hits the spot every time! The chili cheese fries are fire with that nacho sauce! If you get a French dip add bell peppers and onions to it! I will never stop coming here! Love you guys!
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a friendly smile and a cup of coffee. It has that local 50s 60s vibe. The aesthetic was local pride trophies hanging on the wall local landscape art mural. The breakfast was good. I had French toast, egg, and bacon definitely a place. I will come back to visit.
The best place to eat breakfast or lunch in the 925. Culturally specific grub your parents & grandparents fed you if you grew up in the Bay Area. Comfortable atmosphere, the gals are on the ball & make u feel like fam. It's generally packed so sometimes there's a short wait to get a table but that's how it is when a place rocks this hard. I recommend everything, it's all super tasty.
What a great place! While scrolling through options for breakfast at 8 AM, I stumbled upon this place on Yelp. I won't lie, their proximity to Steeltown Coffee is one of the reasons I decided on it. Now that I know how good it is, I'll definitely be back next time just for the food! Walking into the restaurant felt like stepping into "Grease" - old style chairs and counters, bold and pop colors. The funny signs on the wall and the mural of Pittsburg kept my brother and I occupied laughing while we waited for our food! I got the churro waffle with eggs and sausage, and my brother got The Cure with chicken fried steak. Both were delicious! The cinnamon cream cheese frosting on my waffle was perfect, the sausages were piping hot, and paired with coffee my morning was complete! All of the people were very attentive, and came by with coffee multiple times. Food came out within five minutes, though we were also fairly early in the morning. By 9 AM, the place was pretty full! Definitely the best place to bring family and friends for a social brunch.
We LOVE Lumpy's! The milk shakes are incredible, and there are a ton of flavor choices. Husband and I like there almond Rocha shake. They offer about a dozen different types of fries. For dinner, I really like the French dip. The meat is very tender and the au jus has a lot of flavor. This past visit, we tried the fricks for the first time. Kids weren't into them, but I loved them. Husband usually gets the rockabilly wrap. Last night he tried the piggly wiggly and added BBQ sauce. He loved it. The staff is always super friendly. We have also eaten breakfast at Lumpy's, and it was just as good as lunch and dinner.
What makes a restaurant best of the best? The best food, cleanliness, hospitality, and to round it off serves the community in which it does business. Lumpys in Pittsburg is incredible and it goes to show the great leader and owner that Natalie is when a restaurant can run a beautifully as it does. Great job team Lumpys of Pittsburg! FYI the funnel cake fries are addicting!
Not a huge deal, but server had to return 3 times to our table to confirm order..." what kind of dressing with your salad? ....what kind of bread on your sandwich?....how did you want your steak cooked? Just a little annoying by the third time is all, but other than that ahe was pleasant. Food was good, but nothing to write home about. I would go there again if I was close bye.
We’ve always had great experiences at Lumpy’s in Pittsburg, but on 11/02/25 the host was unfriendly and didn’t communicate with us at all. No name taken, no wait time given. It made things uncomfortable, so we left and went to the Antioch location, where we had a great experience as usual. First impressions matter.
All was good except the cook on the "poached" eggs. They were actually a perfect hard boiled. Too busy in the restaurant to be asked how the food was even though I specifically left the eggs visible with their solid gold yolks showing. Would have been nice to at least have it acknowledged. Especially considering the kitchen sink omellet is one of if not the most expensive breakfast item on the menu. Disappointed.
Went in to order a turkey club sandwich but I just ended up walking out and leaving after the waiter was very rude and unwelcoming took my business elsewhere not worth the negative energy just to get some food
