We went there on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. after rush hour. It was busy but not crowded. Andrew was our server and he was very attentive. I had the avocado toast with balsamic glaze and added scrambled eggs on the side. My husband had a Louisiana omelette and a waffle. The restaurant typically serves family friendly comfort food. I highly recommend them.

This is one of the best breakfast places I have ever been to in my life. It is absolutely amazing.

Had breakfast here on Saturday and ordered it on Sunday for dinner. That is how great this place is. The chicken tenders are amazing since they are made fresh. The eggs and top sirloin was great, meat cooked to a perfect medium as requested. The pancakes slapped since they were light and fluffy. My partner got the Dave's bigger breakfast, which was massive (Eggs, a Waffle, Bacon, Sausage, home-fried potatoes, biscuits, and gravy). For Sunday's dinner, we had fried Chicken and half a rack of ribs, the hot turkey sandwich, and of course the chicken tenders. For the fried chicken, you have the option of having it sauced up with BBQ, omg it brought me right back to my childhood. This place is a definite must-try if you're in the area.

The staff is amazing and our waitress made us feel like we were her only table and special. My omelet was big and tasty.

One of my favorite things to do is find a good place to eat breakfast. My go to meal is chicken Fried steak and Eggs. After doing a bit of a search I finally arrived to Kountry Folks. I was taking my break from work. Everyone in the restaurant greeted me and had a smile. It made me feel welcome. The server sat me at a booth and brought me coffee. Then I ordered. Now they were getting things prepped for lunch service and I take a long time to eat, so I was feeling bad about being there. The server noticed and assured me that I can take all the time I needed. Later after I was ready to pay I asked for the manager. I explained that everyone I met that day was amazing and the food was amazing. She was so happy and thanked me for the kind words. I highly recommend stopping in and trying this place out.

All I can say is delicious. Service is excellent food is good. Try the chicken and waffles, pies are good. Wait can sometimes be long but it's definitely a good place to go on a Sunday with family.

Just had breakfast at this place this morning for the first time. So humble and welcoming feels like home. If you’re around the area in north hills, you need to try this place. I promise you will come back because I will.

I've only been there twice, both times for breakfast with a big group. Reasonable specials, food good and hot. I definitely want to go back for their chicken wings which look amazing!! Only negative thing is their parking.

We stopped by here on the way back from some appointments up in Riverside, and saw that there was a line out the door. Naturally, we were curious and joined the queue. Once we were seated, about 15 minutes after getting there, we ordered. The food was great and filling, and the service along with the atmosphere was on par. If we ever find ourselves up that way again, we'll definitely be eating here.

Just found this place it was amazing great home town feel excellent country food. I had the pancake breakfast it was very good and soo much food! Had to try the fried chicken another excellent dish. When we the Veterans arrived at Kountry Folks in the morning the table was all set up in Red White and Blue table clothes with decorative settings of sparkling table settings, Our Three Lady friends got there earlier and decorated it up for Veterans day. I am from Charlotte, NC., working locally. I have been missing good home cooking. Thank God for Kountry Folks, whom I ate at daily once I found this place. Most people don't know what grits are. This heaven sent establishment has grits and they are just like home. An amazing biscuit and gravy that reminds me of the great southern diners I grew up with. Everything I ordered was delicious. When I leave the area to go back to the east coast, I will truly miss Kountry Folks. They are truly a gem, and must try establishment.

We have been to this restaurant several times before and have never been disappointed, this time was no exception the service was fantastic our waitress Jessica was super efficient and super nice, my wife had The French toast breakfast and was extremely happy, I had the chicken fried steak with sausage gravy they give you a choice of two sides with your breakfast I had the hashbrowns and biscuits and gravy all the food was fantastic I will definitely be back very soon. The establishment itself is clean and well maintained, with great décor that adds to the overall experience. A place that clearly takes pride in both its food and service.

Breakfast was very tasty. The bacon and sausage both had a bit extra flavor. Service was great as well. They were very attentive, making sure our drinks were refilled and all was well. The only negative was all the dust on the blinds and vents. But an easy improvement that they can make. Overall, I'll be back. And one of my kids' new favorite locations.

Our host was very polite and accommodating. He sat us at the bar at my request, even though I think he wasn't supposed to. But I'm really glad he did because it let us appreciate the decor, which ranged from Historic Corona to farmhouse kitchen (love the ceramic houses). Our server was very sweet and attentive (Rebecca?). The coffee was fresh and delicious. The portions were generous. The standout, of course, being the chicken and waffles. The waffles were soft and fluffy. The chicken was piping hot and really hit the spot. Removed a star because some of the wait staff made me really uncomfortable when we were seated. He insisted on reprimanding our host directly behind us immediately after we took our seats. Guess he thought we didn't speak Spanish pero me hizo pensar. A veces me quejo de mi jale pero viendo como ese guey trata a sus compañeros, man, it could be a lot worse.

The diner was well lit and not to busy when we arrived (6:30pm). It was a hot day outside (96 degrees) and I was a little humid still inside. We were greeted and seated quickly. Service was friendly and we ordered our food and were promptly served in roughly 18mins. We were approached a couple times afterwards and asked if we needed anything else, along with getting plates cleared and given napkins. No complaints and would definitely go again if in the area. Side note: The chicken tenders and waffles were awesome, corn puppies are a great appetizer, and the chocolate cake was delicious.

If you love good, authentic country/soul foods, you'll love it here. My family and I have been coming here for years and not once have we left dissatisfied. The service is always perfect. I am originally from Tennessee, and moved here in 2020. Every now and then I get to craving my Grandmas breakfast, and rarely have I found anything that compares to that since moving here. This morning I took a chance and got some biscuit and gravy from here, placed a pick up order. I arrive and walk in and immediately I’m taken back and fighting tears, I’m not sure how some where I’ve never been felt so much like home but the decor the hospitality of the staff and THE FOOD… just AMAZING! If I hadn’t of had to get to work, I would have defiantly sat and enjoyed this place a little longer! I’ll definitely be returning when my spirits are down from being a little home sick and my belly needs some DELICIOUS soul food!

I always get the double Bison Burger, high quality protein and delicious. Comes with grilled onions which I love. This place also has excellent breakfast dishes (made from scratch corned beef and hash), and great fresh to order fried chicken. They have a large menu with a lot of southern items like Fried Okra, Hush Puppies, fried pickles, etc. Everything is home made and tastes great.

Im from out of town and one of my contractors highly recommended this spot. Im glad I went. Staff was incredibly freidnly and very attentive. I ordered the half chicken breakfast and the server let me know it would be slightly longer than normal. Chicken came out hot, steamy, crispy and fresh. Tasted like home, they use a very light breading with what might be a creole seasoning? Whatever it was, it was incredibly tasty and more than enough to have for lunch as well.

I have not been able to find a proper Southern meal since moving to California from Georgia. This place hit the spot. Authentic southern feel with both the food and atmosphere. Our server, Hope, was utterly lovely and welcoming, and even made sure we were set up with dessert to take home. We took home leftovers as well!! The chicken specifically is tender, fall off the bone, with crispy skin that is insanely flavorful. Highly worth the wait. Country fried steak was also tender, easy to cut, with PHENOMENAL white gravy. Rest assured, we will be back with just as healthy an appetite as last time.

Perfect if you want to eat out but still enjoy that home made taste. Chicken is fried to order, loads of desserts if you're craving sweets. A wide but simple menu range. Servers seem to be pretty busy and sometimes you get passed over though nothing too terrible and they're all plenty friendly. So far we've been twice and Everytime we enjoy t our plates. 2025 Giving another review, came here for breakfast with my mom, brother, and aunt and we had an awesome time. The fried chicken benedict was tasty and their over easy eggs with hash brown and sausage patties are delish. If you have time to check out their dessert counter u would recommend you do so. They bake from scratch so it’s a must to try it. I recommend anyone to at least try this place once for breakfast. 2023 The food here is tasty. It’s a good place to come with family and enjoy a hefty country style breakfast. The service is great and the food comes in big portions. I recommend to experience having breakfast here.

Stopped here while my wife was seeing her doc at the Kaiser around the corner from this restaurant. So glad we did! Delicious homestyle food with friendly service. The stuffed French toast and biscuits and gravy are amazing. The restaurant has an old diner feel which I appreciate. I loved the bench swings in the waiting area, reminded me of a dock at waterfront park in Charleston, S.C. that has these swings down to the end. Highly recommend!

This was my 1st time here and the service was absolutely the amazing! The food was so delicious, right down to my glass of Tea. My waitress was so kind and was open to making suggestions to us. The wings were great and the fresh hot waffles were delicious! She made sure we were happy with our dinner choices. I asked for my dessert to go, she wrapped it up tightly for a safe trip home. When I asked for more Tea they even gave me a cup to go! As we left she gave my Son another suggestion for our "next" visit! I wish I would of gotten her name. Stopped by on October 1st. My son and I were in the area and were hungry. I'm glad we found this spot. I was craving some real authentic country fried chicken. We were welcomed and seated right away. All employees are attentive and nice. They helped each other out. I wish I could remember my waitress name she did a great job. OMG my mouth watered just remembering how delicious the chicken was. I got the 4 chicken wings that came with 2 eggs and 2 sides. My son tried the full size pastrami fries. The food was delicious I didn't even have a chance to take a picture. We didn't wait too long for our food. They were busy so it's understandable. The prices are the same as any restaurant nowadays. Portions are good. The place is kept clean. Nicely decorated with a country feel. On the bottom of the menu there's Bible verses which I really thought were cool. The parking lot is small. Will definitely return next week when I'm in the area again.

The restaurant kind of has an old school diner mixed with a cabin vibe. The bakery has some good-looking desserts. Recommend you eat something sweet when you come give this place a try. We love Riverside and try to find at least one mom and pop place to stop heading in or out of the area. This time we found Kountry Folls and so glad we did! When I say right off the freeway i mean it. So easy for us to get right back on the road after such a tasty meal. We love a good breakfast in our house and these portions kept us full and happy all the way home. Cute and cozy inside it really gives off that country feel. From the old school bar seating or the swing type benches in the waiting area. Service was awesome and we didn’t have to ask for anything. I’m typically not a fan of hash browns, but they were seasoned well and I ate them all. My daughter ordered what I think was called the farmers breakfast with hash browns and biscuits and gravy on top. She couldn’t finish them all but she tried her best. The food was amazing it was my first time going to eat here. The fries are soft and crunchy, and the Mac and cheese had the perfect amount of cheese. Last, the chicken had a good flavor. The garlic bread was good was toasted but soft and had the right amount of garlic. I will go again, and the best part was that the customer service was wonderful. Hands Down! One of the absolute best Breakfast Spots in the City of Riverside. This is place is quite iconic. It is the perfect example of the Countryside, Conservative, Traditional, and Cozy restaurant. You will most definitely get this warm welcoming sensation once you step in. The service is outstanding, and the manager is always on top of everything. The food is incredibly delicious, their scrambled eggs combination is quite unique, their pan cakes are from out of the world, and their chicken wings are just super. I went for their fried chicken, and it was not good. It was very dry and overcooked. The breading had no flavor. My husband had the corned beef hash. It was chewy and overcooked also. I was pleasantly surprised at the entire experience. There was no waiting to be seated. There was a little lag time in between being offered drinks and for the waiter to actually take our order. I believe that was just because they looked a little busy. I did go back a week later and was seated immediately and order was taken immediately and food was brought in a reasonable amount of time. Both times I went the food was exceptionally good people there have a great attitude and the ambience is beautiful very homestyle. I would definitely recommend it to friends and loved ones and go again myself.

The food was good, not amazing. During the week there was no line. I had chicken fried steak, cinnamon bun, and bbq salad. The cinnamon bum was the best part . My order was to go so I dont know if they warm it up. Make sure they do.

Got the chili con carne bowl, slight kick but I didn't find any real meat inside (could be canned) and was slightly lacking in flavor. Salad was good but the blue cheese dressing was think like frosting. Coffee was great and the muffin was pretty good the whipped butter and honey made it much better. Service was great 👍I've been going here for over 25 years and the building is exactly the same as in 2005. (Not necessarily bad) but I think the only thing that would bring me back is nostalgia and sentiment not the food.

The decor of this place is nice and the customer service is great, but the food definitely needs flavor. The food looks better than it taste. The batter of the chicken fried steak had no seasonings. The gravy lacked flavor, and the Louisiana skillet taste like a poor attempt at recreating something they seen from a TV cook. Overall I'll give this place 3.5 stars and thats for customer service. I have had a better breakfast at Dennys. We spent 33 dollars (including tip). If you like bland food this spot is for you.

It's like a mom and pop spot. Everything is very old school like from the early 80s like the decor . It was more of a family vibe had large groups of families, there were plenty of seniors as guest there . My food was overall ok. I liked the fish how it was fried, but the slab of fish was thin, I'm happy the the server let me substitute the chicken for fish , because I'm a pescatarian. The waffle was just your average waffle , the carrot cake, I've had better but it wasn't bad. My waiter however was very attentive , sweet and hard working . I love good customer service . I think other foods there would be far more tastier than what I ordered but I didn't try them

Salmon was good. Stick to the chicken and waffles tho. If you stray you'll regret it. Last visit i went for the awesome looking blackened chicken had beautiful sides. The salad was a Walmart bag salad that had been expired and whatever was in the pic I couldn't find for sides. (I removed the croutons)

The food was good. Tried the alligator sausage. It was pretty good. The atmosphere was ok, sort of reminded us of granny's house. But there was a VERY large party (about 20+ people) half adults and half kids that made the atmosphere extremely loud. It wasn't so much the adults, but the kids (around middle school age) were running around in the restaurant, hollering and playing, unchecked by their accompanying adults. It was so loud I considered going elsewhere. If my child hadn't asked if we could stay, I'm sure I would have. The combination of the unpleasant atmosphere and the waitstaff forgetting my three times ordered water and other ordered items leads me to believe I probably would not go back there again. But I'd say give em a try. The food wasn't bad.

This place was not even worth the visit. They have beer batter fried chicken that has almost no seasoning. Watered down grits made with no love. If you are selling grits obviously you're selling to a certain demographic you should at least know that we will know what to expect. Biscuits and gravy has no taste lacks any flavor. Just taste like heavy cream. I gave this place 2 stars because the service was good and my wife ate her skillet. Said the steak was good. This morning my spouse goes and gets the three of us breakfast. For two adults and a baby . Two daves bigger breakfasts and we were happy. I start feeding my baby the egg whites and as I am separating the whites from the yolk. I pick up a thick hair that looks like beard hair or worse… I tell my spouse and he comes and looks at it in the light. I then pick more small thick hairs from the eggs and flip the yolks over and there’s a lot of those gross hairs which by now we don’t think it’s just a little beard hair that fell into the food by accident. My spouse went back and showed them the food . He asked for a full refund and they did grant him that. I never write reviews but I felt the need to because we were semi regular customers and really enjoyed their food and service. I hope they find who did this and let them go. The cook who did this has probably done this so many times as he’s probably hating his job and wants to get back at someone to make themselves feel better. Kountry folks , please fix this. This is unacceptable in so many levels. People who do this to people’s food are defiantly sick in the head.

The best part about ordering online is I can always get a refund for poor quality, poor plating, wasteful packaging, and cold food. Pretty much the opposite of a country kitchen. I'll be back for my refund again, thank you.

Ordered online. When I received my order they completely messed it up and when I called to have them give me the items that were missing the manager/owner wanted to give me an “IOU” as if I would go back and get more food from them. He was super unhelpful. Yes I raised my voice, but he wouldn’t even do anything to accommodate it. The food that I did receive was complete trash. Super cold no flavor and the eggs were runny even though I asked for scrambled hard. Don’t waste your time going here super unprofessional and unhelpful.

Ordered online and its possibly the worst omelet/hashbrowns/biscuits I've ever had. Biscuits are cheap store bought biscuits not even made in house. Hash browns were soggy not to mention the entire order was cold. Terrible cooks for the price. Cool if people like it, this isn't a country style kitchen and its not mom type cooking. 0 stars.
