Galli al Teatro Saronno Reviews
Il luogo ideale per una colazione o un brunch alternativa. Molto buone e invitanti tutte le proposte della carta. Giardino estivo meraviglioso. Personale attento e disponibile: fortemente consigliato!
Great place for breakfast with the family, lovely both inside and out. Very good and varied croissants.
Gorgeous place. Surrounded by greenery. Excellent, carefully selected ingredients. The menu is always seasonal and frequently updated, but always with the guarantee of consistently high quality. There are also many vegan and vegetarian options, and the staff is truly attentive and helpful. The pizza is top-notch. Our favorite; perfect for sharing as an aperitif or eaten individually for dinner. Well-leavened dough, tasty ingredients, and excellent cooking for a guaranteed crunchy finish! Highly recommended!
Super
The Caesar's was good. A little unique, with bacon, hard-boiled eggs, little sauce, and not much chicken. On the other hand, the taste was satisfying, and the salad mix wasn't bad either. The place was unusually quiet for being in the center of Saronno. Worth trying again. Perhaps with more time and an additional dish.
A really pleasant place with various cute corners. In winter there is a well-heated tensile structure, but in summer there is plenty of room among the trees in the Pasta theater garden. Very kind and helpful staff. On Saturdays there always seems to be a dedicated menu. We happened upon Argentina in the evening and everything was delicious. The selection of sandwiches is also good. There is the possibility of drinking both wine and cocktails. If I can suggest an improvement it lies in two things, the cocktail glasses must be suitable for the cocktail, and the desserts must pay attention to freshness.
I love this place! Their garden is a lovely place to spend a lunch break surrounded by greenery and away from the noise, a little oasis of peace. So far, I've only been there for lunch. The club sandwiches, both the traditional and the vegetarian ones, are huge and truly delicious. The portions are generous, even the salads. The quality of the ingredients is guaranteed! The prices are also reasonable. Try the Galli coffee! Last but not least, the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Before leaving a review, I came for breakfast three weekends in a row, even trying different times. The restaurant boasts, through numerous social media ads and reels, that it caters to those with food intolerances and offers vegan options. When I asked, all three times, for a vegan brioche or some other lactose-free option, I was told that the restaurant had nothing to offer, neither brioche nor alternatives. Today they even told me to try again during the week, "maybe I'll find a croissant." The service also leaves much to be desired: after a 20-minute wait, we literally had to ask to order, and after ordering, we reported that the table needed cleaning (they walked past us cleaning the empty ones but ignored ours despite the crumbs and resulting ants everywhere). There's no doubt about the quality of the food, but a huge disappointment with the service and, above all, the misleading advertising. If you don't have lactose-free products and you don't have vegan croissants (or maybe you just order two), avoid repeatedly mentioning that you care about your customers, and in general, make sure your staff and service live up to the beautiful location and the quality of your offerings—unfortunately, I repeat, this is limited to those without intolerances.
We come here when we want to eat well and relax, but for some time now, unfortunately, something hasn't quite worked. I called twice to book the Halloween brunch, and both times the people I spoke to to make the reservation and ask for information seemed a bit confused, and today we had confirmation. Beautiful place as usual, bresaola and lasagna were very good, but for the rest, we paid way too much for what we were offered. We asked for water three times before receiving it, the children's lasagna the same (I would have preferred a "sorry, they're not ready"), the mushrooms on our plates were obviously burnt, and the crouton was the same. The bread was brought to the table halfway through the second course, and most of the staff seemed unsure what to do.... Not the usual Galli.
The place is very nice, but only because of the garden. The pizza is more like a pinsa, with quality ingredients. Instead of Coke, they serve a sub-brand without informing the customer. The prices are definitely outrageous.
Small but welcoming. Two stars because there's no direct access to the venue from the theater, and the theater staff isn't aware of this. I asked for directions and was directed to a door next to the restroom, occupied by a curtain and a small table with a vase. The forced walk-through in winter is quite inconvenient, especially considering that jackets are checked in the cloakroom at the start of the show. Prices are a bit excessive: a half-liter bottle of water costs €1.50.
Posto da evitare…..un tagliere….anzi un piccolo piatto di salumi e formaggi…22 euro….
The only redeeming feature is the location, which is objectively nice. But it was the worst aperitivo ever: a fizzy Moscow Mule that tasted like nothing, served in a glass instead of a copper mug, and an "aperitivo" that consisted of one (and I mean, one) piece of bread, one (same as before) piece of cheese, and one slice of salami. If you want to grab something to eat, because the paltry portion they bring with the cocktail is worthless, the platters for two cost between €35 and €60!!!!!!! I went to this place because it was recommended, but I'll never go back. There are plenty of great places in the area that serve a decent aperitivo; there's really no reason to go back to Galli.
A rip-off! €17 per person for a few slices of cured meat, portions of pizza and focaccia that weren't exactly gourmet, plus drinks and a cover charge—basically a €30 a person aperitivo. Never again. Shame! The place is also nice, but rarely crowded given the much more honest alternatives.
Way too expensive. Very limited red wine by the glass!
