Mother's Kitchen Signal Hill Reviews
Came here on an early Monday morning, and I was super glad that it wasn't packed because I heard this place gets super packed and there isn't a lot of room to sit for a lot of people! Overall, I loved my experience here! 10/10 The food was amazing! Ordered: French Toast 8.5/10 Breakfast Burrito 9/10 And my dad ordered Steak a la Mexicana 9/10 Loved everything about the place. My only bad thing is that the place is super small, not really for bigger families.
Really cute little cafe. We had veg omelette and french toast. The chunky red potatoes with red and green pepper chunks were yummy too. Everything is pink inside. 🩷
We fell in love today. If I could leave six stars, I would! This is our new favorite restaurant. Mother’s is utterly charming and CRAZY DELICIOUS. The textures, quality, freshness, salsa, and presentation were exquisite. We had chorizo tostadas and the chilaquiles - all extraordinary and 10 out of 10. The chorizo was so delicate and crunchy to perfection. No grease! Wonderful horchata. Great service. Generous servings, too. Superb and cozy. I cant offer enough superlatives. Best Mexican food we’ve had in 25 years. We cannot wait to go back.
What a great lil gem! The Turkey breakfast burrito was amazing! I look forward to getting it again!!!
Small but mighty gem! Did not even know this place existed until today. Everything was delicious and great service from the staff.
Great boutique restaurant with an amazing menu of food and great hospitality to match 💯.
This place is amazing the food is delicious 😋🤤 highly recommend it.

The Orange Rice was very delicious 💯 😋 reminds me of home made Mexican rice. There donuts taste like the frosting from a cinnamon bun omg I'm for reals! Kind service. Wish there was chips and salsa while u wait for your food though. I like how you can pick which cheeses you want for your beans or what salsa flavors you want for your chilaquiles i picked both red & green salsa no problem. For Valentine's they gave me a free cute little ducky lemonade martini free mini heart chocolate's . Being my first time there I loved and appreciated the Beautiful decorations! Beautiful vibes ! The owner was very sweet ! Love's her Valentine's outfit.Over all this place is Great For Valentine's 💕 or Tea ☕ and grub with some good family and friends!
What a sweet find! Cafe de olla was perfect! Food amazing! And such a sweet group of people. I highly recommend a stop here for reasonably priced, authentic, family made food. Just like at mother's house.
An amazing vintage-chic spot for delicious food. Literally, an awesome experience. Went with some colleagues and we loved our meals. I had the French toast and it was phenomenal. Not only was the presentation beautiful, the service was impeccable. We will be back and telling our friends about this one-of-a-kind restaurant. You have to go to know…seriously, worth it!
Came around 12 on Tuesday afraid a gem like this was going to be packed. Suprisingly, it wasn’t! The service was quick, homely, and friendly. The food was amazing with reasonable prices for perfect breakfast portions. The most unique part of this place is the decor and theming, it is GORGEOUS. Stop by Mother’s Kitchen, it will become your new local favorite! (Local small owned business more affordable and fun than chain restaurants!!)
Delicious food. Portions were perfect and the service was great. The decoration is super cute 😍
Loved our visit to Mother's Kitchen for Easter brunch. The food made with attention and elevated from the typical diner feel. Atmosphere and staff is welcome and gracious. We will be back.
Just a cafe but with a twist... it feel's like grandma's small cottage but with everything pink. The furniture is all antique, which gives it a cozy vibe. I LOVE their burgers and tostadas, but their French Toast is AMAZING. The staff and owner are super friendly and attentive. It's also super clean. They also sell cute home stuff and kitchen goodies. I really enjoy coming here!!
Men, take your ladies to this restaurant for breakfast or lunch. Food is good. Good service. Great ambiance. Highly recommend! You can park in parking lot next to Steel craft coffee.

It was our first time eating there the service and food was great, but the atmosphere was excellent too us very romantic with the music in the background 👍
The pictures are an order of chicken mole and chilaquilles with steak 🥩. Both items for $18.50. There was an $8 up charge for the steak. The food was very very good, but the avocado on top of my chilaquilles was very hard. Nowhere near being ripe. It was difficult to cut it with a knife. aside for taking our order and bringing our drinks and food from the servers, there were no more interactions with the wait staff till we were leaving. Beautiful ambiance.

Food was amazing definitely worth it. Although, the size of the actual restaurant is a bit small. I would recommend calling ahead as it can be a bit busy, it wasn’t busy when we went to go make a reservation. The service was not the best but not the worst. George was a pretty good host even though it does it get hot inside the restaurant where the A/C cannot keep up ha. Although he made sure to keep us in the shade since we did eat outside. Meanwhile, the hostess seemed rushed and seemed to forget others orders of water & ice cups. The table was not cleaned for us hence the moderate service rating. The host & hostess definitely seem overworked and constantly rushed which can impact service performance. Overall the food was pretty good. Keep in mind no refills on soft drinks. We had the Chilaquiles and the Bid Burgers although from the two I’d recommend the Chilaquiles definitely worth it and delicious! Service performance definitely impacts the nature of my review.

I’ll give an honest review yes this place is aesthetically really cute but if you’re looking for good Mexican food this place isn’t it the food tastes so cold and the rice tastes like instant rice they could do better on the flavors and also on the drinks the cucumber drink isn’t natural at all tastes very artificial
My husband’s waffle was terrible, it was extremely overcooked couldn’t cut it with a knife, we told the server, didn’t do anything abt it :( just told all my friends not to order waffles

Food was expensive and didn’t taste great. I ordered the chilaquiles, but the salsa was bland, no taste. Rice was dry like it was microwaved or been seating for a long time. Beans were okay.
