Das Essen wird von der Inhaberin selber zubereitet und der Inhaber bedient. Man kann beim Kochen zuschauen. Unser Essen war super und man konnte schmecken wie frisch das Gemüse war. Ein sehr gute Alternative, wenn man an der Strand Promenade gutes Essen haben will
Good location, nice sunny terrace, 5/5 customer service and the 3x small course "chefs choice" is definitely worth a try! Also nice combo offers like sandwhich + beer for a good price. Worth a check if you are in the area!
Cozy place with a little unusual menu for the region (which is a good thing). Vegetarian/vegan options. Very kind and passionate owners. We had good food, a great time and a nice chat with them. If you’re looking for a place that is authentic and offers nice culinary takes besides the spanish and dutch restaurant landscape, then this restaurant might be a good fit for you. The peach liquor they offer is awesome! We shared the burger and beanballs. Can recommend!
We were a very large group of 16 and the food and service was amazing. The meatballs and blueberry pie were particularly delicious! We all had a fabulous afternoon, thank you!
Really good, nutritious vegan food which is VERY hard to come by here! Swedish meat balls with mashed potatoes, vegetables and lindon berry jam was super....as was the stew :) Additionally, Ellen and the staff are very sweet and friendly. I will be going back for more of their vegan dishes!

Ik kan me niet herinneren dat ik smaakvoller heb gegeten en zeker niet vegan. Alles klopt, en dan ook nog redelijk geprijsd op een relatief rustig en sfeervol plein met uitzicht op de zee. Zo maar een overweging om nog eens dezelfde bestemming te boeken voor vakantie. Ellen is een absolute topkok tussen het typische strandvoer dat in veel omringende restaurants wordt aangeboden.
My wife and myself are vegetarian and had a bit of a quest to find something of interest that wasn’t a pizza/salad. After a quick search on the internet found this little restaurant. Service was met with extreme enthusiasm which felt rather sincere. The food was amazing, I’ve never experienced such a rich burger, which was an absolute delight to eat. The vegan bourguignon had such warmth and heartiness that it perfectly matched the traditional French dish that it slipped my mind that it was vegan. What makes this establishment even better that it’s a husband and wife duo that aims to promote healthier eating and I would highly recommend anyone to experience their vision.

The food here is delicious! All of it’s made fresh using the best quality healthy ingredients. I’d recommend ordering the schnitzel as well as the meatballs. They also have vegan-friendly options available. Great spot for dinner in Torremolinos and the owners are very nice to speak to.
Super vriendelijke zweedse mensen die hier voor de zon naartoe zijn getrokken. Veel eten kan je hier wel glutenvrij kopen. Op erg veel plekken houden ze weinig rekening met iemand met een glutenallergie. Hier is het eten top de gehaktballetjes vielen erg in de smaak. Ook kan je hier Scandinavisch borrelen ze hebben hier salmiakki! Zelfs glutenvrij bier kan je hier kopen. De eigenaren waren erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Great little restaurant in Benalmedena a bit off the main beach walk. The food is fresh and tasty and the service is amazing. Started with beet carpaccio. The beets were al dente so not mushy and were tossed with pine nuts and small bits of Parmesan cheese which provided a nice flavour and texture contrast to the beets. Mains were a pork schnitzel with gravy and the grilled sea bass. The schnitzel was crispy on the outside and the pork was moist. Accompanied by some nice crispy potatoe crisps. The sea bass fresh was grilled perfectly as the fish was still moist. It came with mashed potatoes and a big portion of mushroom gravy. It is a small place (the kitchen is literally about 16 meters square!) and there is just one person working the back and one in front so the dishes may take a little longer to arrive (the slow dining is noted on the menu). Not a worry as you can sip on your drinks and watch the people go by. They are moving to a new larger location a couple of kilometers east of the current location by the end of 2025.
Wonderful, literally absolutely amazing. I came here with my boyfriend on Valentine's Day, its such a warm experience. The food was on point. The dessert was delicious. The owners are so sweet and we felt wlecomed. I recommend this place for everyone it was a perfect romantic date.
We had a lovely dinner at Ellen and Anders‘ restaurant. The vibe was very laid back & it was a very enjoyable environment. The service and food was great. We picked this place for its vegan options and because we enjoy köttbullar, but we didn’t know before that everything was selfmade with so much passion and love. Ellen also explained how she prepared the food and our highlight was the vegan ice cream made from aquafaba. Definitely recommend this place - it’s great that there are restaurant owners like Ellen and Anders!

It's a must!! Fuimos por primera vez buscando un sitio que tmbn tuviera comida vegana. Tiene varios platos veganos, la carta no es extensa, pero todo lo que pedimos está buenísimo. Nuestro favorito fueron las albóndigas suecas. Ellen tiene una mano para la cocina fantástica, el trato fue genial. Gracias por todo, repetiremos!

Wow, we were amazed at how great the food is! I seriously havent eaten food that good for quite a while. The owners are so nice and welcoming as well, we had a lovely time. You can just feel how much they love what they do here, they make everything themselves and it is very noticeable, every component of our meals was already amazing by itself, when it comes together its even better! It also was a pleasure to meet and talk to the chef for a minute, we are definitely going to come again if we go back to this region some day.
Quality home cooked, fresh food. It was so refreshing to find a restaurant that was authentic and where you could tell the food had been made with love. There were around 12 to 15 dishes on the menu and over two nights we sampled maybe half and couldn't fault any of them. I would recommend ordering the small plates (2 per person is enough) as you get to try twice as much. We had a mix of vegan and meat dishes, we asked for a slight alteration to one of the dishes and Ellen was more than happy to oblige. Both the owners were lovely and spent time chatting with us.

Absolutely Outstanding! Ellen Restaurant is an absolute must-visit! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm, friendly service that made us feel like we were dining with family. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, but the real star here is the food. I had the beef bourguignon, and I can say it was better than versions I’ve had in top-quality restaurants in Lyon – rich, tender, and packed with flavour. As for the desserts WOW! The blueberry pie was delicious. Everything was beautifully prepared, and you can truly taste the love that goes into every dish. Amazing food, heartfelt hospitality, and a truly memorable meal – we’ll definitely be back!

This place is definitely recommended. I went here with two friends and both the food and the atmosphere were amazing. We eat (mostly) vegetarian and the selection was good, for all courses. The people are also very sweet and interested. Making a reservation is very easy via Google / The Fork. All in all fantastic.
Not just a great meal , a fabulous experience. Ellen and Anders go above and beyond to make this a really different dining experience, you feel like you are guests in their home. Food is beautifully cooked and presented by Ellen and Anders glides through service, catering to everyone's needs. We loved it and will always return if we are in the area.

Best vegan and vegetarian restaurant in Torremolinos and from far! The vegan bourguignon needs to surprise the palate of everyone. And you don’t only get the beautiful food here, you also have the feeling of being hosted by a Swedish family 💚 Ellen and Anders have been absolutely adorable with us, even when they had a table of 18 people besides ours. Best customer service, best food, best couple. Unmissable in Torremolinos. Tak!
The vegan food here was so fresh, tasty and healthy! We stumbled upon this after trying to find some vegan options in the area, and we were SO happy we found it. The guy working there was so lovely, helpful and patient. The chef took SUCH pride in the food they made, and pure joy when we said how much we enjoyed eating it. Really recommend it here for sure!
Das Essen war wirklich gut, die schwedischen meat balls sind sehr zu empfehlen. Auch das Schnitzel war sehr lecker und es lohnt sich auch ein Blick auf die Nachtischkarte. Generell bietet die Karte für jeden etwas, auch eine große Auswahl an veganen Gerichten. Das Lokal selbst ist gemütlich eingerichtet und die Inhaber total herzlich. Man merkt, dass alles mit vollem Herzblut gestaltet ist. Wer eine Abwechslung zu klassischen Tapas sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Wir haben das Lokal leider am letzten Abend erst entdeckt, würden bei einem Malaga Besuch das definitiv wieder einbauen und empfehlen es jedem!
Customer friendly environment with very good and clean food including vegan and vegitarian options. It is something different in the town, very pretty and fresh painted. The service is really nice a bit slow but on the other hand you really feel welcomed. Will definitely return :)

Wir haben nirgends so gut in Benalmadena und Torremolinos gegessen wie hier. Das Essen ist wirklich vorzüglich, weshalb wir gerne öfter hierher gekommen sind und es jedes Mal wieder tun würden. Man wird sehr freundlich bedient und selbst die Köchin kommt gerne persönlich und erkundigt sich nach dem Wohlergehen ihrer Gäste. Man kann ihr auch beim Kochen zusehen. Es ist ein besonderes Erlebnis hier zu essen. Auch der Heizstrahler im Rücken ist wohltuend wenn es kühl wird. Preis/Leistung mehr als top! Wir können nicht aufhören zu schwärmen. Alles tadellos perfekt! Danke Ellen und Anders!!!
Amazing food and lovely atmosphere! Great value for money. The best meal we had in Torremolinos was at Ellens. The Ellen burger and fish burger were delicious. The location is perfect for sitting in the sun and the English-speaking staff were so friendly! The best in the area :)

Ellen Restaurant is a new restaurant in Torremolinos owned by a Swedish couple. It has a varied menu with main courses (meat, fish, vegan, including the traditional Swedish Meatballs ), a variety of salads, wraps omelets and toast. I choose for my lunch after a 3 hour walk by the sea, the Ellen hamburger with guacamole, which was served with a generous amount of fresh and tasty guacamole, pickled onion, a tasty BBQ sauce, thick French fries and salad replacing the bread since I do not eat gluten. And I forgot to take a photo :-) All very delicious and nicely laid out on the plate. The restaurant itself is pleasant with nice colors and the owners has a great hospitality. Highly recommended!

Ellen and Anders are running such a lovely Scandinavian restaurant along the coast of Malaga. My partner and I are vegans, and their vegan meat balls and vegan burgers tasted incredible. Not to mention their homemade vegan ice cream is something to behold. Highly recommend it, and on top of that they are such lovely and hospitable people. Visiting this place will be a a new tradition for us whenever we visit Malaga. Outstanding!
Fantastic restaurant a wee hidden gem run by a lovely couple Ellen and anders . Warm welcome on entering very homely , the Gunness stew was amazing, my wife thoroughly enjoyed the Swedish meatballs and for desert the Swedish tosskaka cake was to die for . Definitely recommend this place 👌

Deliciosa comida, lugar agradable y amable servicio. Comimos currywurst con patatas fritas, cebolla y ensalada. Es un plato muy rico, especialmente la salchicha y la salsa curry. También probamos las albóndigas veganas con salsa, puré de patata, ensalada y mermelada. Disfruté mucho de este plato, me sorprendió gratamente la combinación de sabores. Sin duda, recomiendo totalmente este restaurante. Es un sitio muy tranquilo con comida hecha con cariño. Volveremos a probar el resto de la carta 😊

Tasty and delicious food. Special mention for the beef bourguignon! It was out of this world. Highly recommend this place. Plus the owners are very charming !
Lovely welcome by the hosts. Visited because I saw there were vegan options. Food was nice and healthy. Something different because of having Swedish owners. Was quiet when we visited.
På ett charmigt vitt litet torg har Ellen och Anders öppnat en mysig litet kryp in med mat lagad från hjärtat. Vi förälskade oss i Ellens ”vegan bites” och avnjöt en helt rätt tempererad Conde Siruela Roble Tempranillo 2019 från Ribera del Duero. Titta in och njut av den avslappnade atmosfären om ni har vägarna förbi Torremolinos.

Schattig tentje op leuke plek. Een verademing om even wat te eten dat niet gefrituurd is (!) . De vegan maaltijd had ik. Vriendelijke eigenaren. Met liefde bereid en zorgvuldig op de borden gelegd. Porties mogen wat mij betreft wel ietsje groter. Als er meer vega variatie qua groenten en gerechten zou zijn zou ik hier zeker vaker eten als ik een paar dagen in Carihuela ben.
Es un sitio agradable con una fuente en la terraza, el personal es amable y si eres goloso y amante de la tarta de manzana, aquí ponen una con helado o nata increíble (debe ser una receta sueca)😋!! Un café y una tarta de manzana para compartir es un buen plan de tarde. Le ponen mucho cariño a lo que hacen.

Das Essen ist okay. Für 4 Hauptgänge die auf der Karte sind und bei schwacher Frequent hat es allerdings sehr lange gedauert und war leider verbrannt. Von den anderen Rezessionen hätten wir allerdings mehr erwartet. Die Gastgeber sind aber super nett und geben ihr Bestes.
I'm sorry to say it didn't live up to my expectations. I don't like leaving a negative review because the staff/owners are clearly so nice, service was great. But the food for me certainly didn't have any wow factor. Maybe best to visit during the peak season. 😔
Tardaron mucho mucho mucho en traernos la mini cena, y no se ajustó a lo que indica la carta. Correcto, sin más. El camarero muy majo, parecía que estaba apurado por tanta demora y la cocinera agradable.

La comida buena, pero id sin prisa, tardaron alrededor de 50mins. en servirnos 3 hamburguesas.
I ordered meatballs and mashed potatoes and they were really really bad. All of it tasted really sour and the texture was weird too. The flavor was kinda artificial and it left me like a scratchy acidic feel in my throat. My friend got vegan meatballs and they were even worse, they were very mushy and also sour. the burgers my friends had were okay but the bun was like cut of. We had to wait for our food to come for over 40 min
Hemos ido a cenar una amiga y yo, pedimos la tapa de chorizo y queso de cabra, literalmente era el chorizo del Mercadona en rodajas finas con queso fundido, además de ser extremadamente chica para su precio 4,5€, también pedimos las albóndigas suecas, que podrian ser perfectamente unas compradas en el súper. Por último pedimos la hamburguesa de vacuno para compartir, estaba insípida y fría, parecía que solo comías un masacote de pan. Para colmo, estamos sentadas en la terraza, y vimos 6 o y cucarachas, las cuales hubo un momento donde se subieron en la silla. Entendemos que no es responsabilidad del restaurante pero creemos que se gestionó mal la situación. Los dueños si eran muy majos y agradables pero la comida regulera para su precio, y la poca comodidad que pudimos tener.
