I went once with a large group of people after a group meeting. The servers were especially great though in breaking up the table into almost 12 different bills/orders with no problem. The food was a bit better than I would've expected as well.

Amazing serive, the server was great. If you don't know Mimi's Cafe, then home style cooked food healthy and delicious. If you're hungry, try the 3 course meal.

My friend and I come every Sunday. We enjoy the food, very inviting place to eat. Although we sit in the same spot because we have a favorite waitress, everyone is always very friendly, including the manager. We never feel rushed.

The French Pot Roast is very good, almost as good as their original American style Pot Roast.

Had a lovely breakfast! The smoked salmon eggs Benedict was delicious. Their Iced caramel latte went perfect with my meal. I was really happy with my server Stephany! She was super helpful with any questions I had about their menu. Her energy was warm and welcoming! Definitely coming back.

We were there to try the same dish we always ordered. Mine was not done right. The waitress brought out manager and listened to my opinion. My whole family has been coming here for over 20 years! We love the spice muffins and the carrot loaf. So yummy!! The food is good as well but it's been a while since we had the food. I used to get the chicken and waffles yum!

I've been bringing my parents here for around 20 years since they moved to Santa Ana. It's always been a pleasurable experience. I recommend trying the juicy cheeseburger and the French pot roast dish. I'd also like thank Jasmine for being so kind and considerate with the way she greets my elderly parents for each of their visits.

I haven't been here in a really long time. Even though I have a thing about going into an empty restaurant, I was craving French onion soup and was very hungry and tired from work. Andrew, the kid who greeted me me, was friendly and kind. Gave him my order. He told me a little bit of background on his employment with mimis. Since I was the only person sitting in his area, we had a good dialog about food, my loss of confidence in the restaurant, and Star Wars. When my food came I wasn't disappointed!! Everything was exactly what I wanted and more!!! People like this kid renewed my faith in young people and the food service staff. I will be returning to this restaurant (even though it's out of my way) he took care of me and anticipated my every need and more.

Great food. Great service. Beef Pot Roast with potatoes au gratin and green beans cooked perfectly. Fork tender beef, green beans with a touch of crunch and creamy au gratin were outstanding. My wife can't get enough 🦃. As the beef is my go to plate at Mimi's, the roast turkey is hers. With dressing and two side and an ample serving of bird she always has leftovers for the next day. We had a bad experience at another location (Long Beach) using a test menu with limited selections and a terrible au gratin, we were pleased to see familiar favorites on the menu in Tustin. I had such a nice visit here! I ordered the Jambalaya Pasta, a Seasonal Dubai Muffin, and an Iced Coffee. Everything was delicious and freshly made. The jambalaya pasta had a great flavor with just the right amount of spice, the muffin was warm and soft (tasted homemade!), and the iced coffee was super fresh and smooth. I always like coming to Mimi’s Cafe. My son ordered strawberry lemonade and had a kids quesadilla with fruit and it also comes with a dessert cup. I ordered the Pain Purdue stuffed French toast with berries. It also came with bacon and eggs. Delicious. Great customer service here. I recommend coming here for a meal.

YUM!! Thiswas the first time we had eaten inside a restaurant since March, 2020. It was after 3 PM and we each ordered an entree. The coastal linguine was a bit too garlicky for me. Husband ordered roast beef atop mashed potatoes. He originally was going to order the coastal linguine so when I suggested swapping, he readily agreed. We enjoyed both entrees although we both agreed to ask for light garlic on the linguine if we were to order it again. As is our custom, we ordered one dessert and 2 spoons. It was the pumpkin creme brulee. Sadly it wasn't quite up to par. We would have enjoyed a stronger pumpkin flavor. It was more like a pudding, with no whipped cream. The staff was attentive...personable and very friendly. The restaurant was one of the older ones but simply decorated and very clean (which is probably the most important attribute in today's world!) Would we dine there again? Yes we would.

I like Mimi's: the food is good and so is service. Price s are fair and have a AAA discount, which is always nice. The interior however needs to be freshened up. It is smelling old. That is why I am not giving it the 5 stars.. Without loosing their essence, they should consider upgrading the facility.

I stopped at Mimi's with a friend for lunch. The menu was very different since it's been almost 2 years since my last visit. I had a salad with shrimp kabobs and she had an Asian salad with chicken, both were delicious. The service was fantastic and our server was very conscientious. We were there after the lunch rush and it was very relaxing.

I hadn't been to Mimi's in 15 years because the menu was horrible. The food was never prepared right, and it tasted bad. I decided to try it again due to a family reunion, and I was very impressed. The food was delicious. Love the revamp on the menu. Drinks were also good. Service was phenomenal.

The new York steak was cooked perfectly and was excellent...service was good.

I placed a phone order and waited on line to find out that it was not put through. The cashier took a new one and put a rush on it, promised it would be ready in about 10 minutes. To their credit it was more about 5. So that made things better. The food was great! Only giving 4 stars because of the order mishap.

Food is reasonably priced if you want to get together and talk and share about your lives. Waiters aren't to clingy so feels semi private. I'll go again.

Very nice ambience and service. Not a long wait for a Wednesday morning. Their portion sizes are quite big. I tried their egg white omelet and waffles, cappuccino and muffins. Highly recommend the cappuccino, it was phenomenal. The upside down pineapple muffin (seasonal special) was also quite nice.

Ordered my first Thanksgiving Feast. Tried the pecan pie tonight. Great! It was very well packaged. A little surprised with the teeny tiny package of fried onion rings for the big green bean casserole. The teeny tiny nuts for the sweet potatoes.

I came with a friend to get brunch we both got the same thing which was a French Toast with berries which came with a side of eggs and sausage or bacon etc. The food was really delicious the French toast had a filling inside and the berries were fresh. To drink I got a strawberry lemonade there was mushy strawberries in the drink and it made it hard to sip but it was good other than that. My wife and I went for lunch. Haven't been for years. My wife had the turkey ciabatta sandwich with Caesar salad. And loved it. I had the roast beef dip with au jus. It was good but I would have liked a bit more spices Also bought two pumpkin muffins to go. Good but not great service. Only one server and she had a good amount of customers

Went for Sunday lunch. Greeted a bit rudely by hostess. Our server was very nice though. Food was 😋. Had the tuna melt w cheddar and onion soup. Would go back to Mimi's Cafe, but another location.

First off I would like to say the service was great. And, I don't think you can beat Mimi's muffins anywhere. However, I took my son there for breakfast today. The coffee was not good. He had a cappuccino that was pretty good. He had a breakfast burrito plate and I have the ham and cheese crepe. The food was mediocre at best. And, mine was only lukewarm. I had not been to Mimi's in a long while. It seems to me, based on today's experience, the quality of the food is decreasing. I don't think I'll be going back. At the cost of $37 for two people for breakfast it was not a good value.

Its a usual dinner. I was overall pleased with service but it takes very long. Establishment is a bit dirty for my liking especially when some waiters are not wearing masks. (Required for indoor dinning in CA)

Some of the food is way over priced, quality is Norms to Denny's level, with Denny's current food being better on avg. Its very hit and miss for my table. We will probably try them again. Staff were good but I think understaffed for how busy they were. We spent 40 per person with tip.

The first time there was a very peaceful environment, the waiter was good. The menu is simple but over price. Coffee wasn't good at all, but the food had a great taste.

I love Mimi’s eggs Benedict. I ordered them today along with 6 bran muffins for my husband to be picked up. I ordered at 8:06 am and arrived at Mimi’s at 8:15. I saw the muffins on the counter. I waited along with two other groups for 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us! The two groups were seated and I still had to announce that I was waiting for service! Once I was acknowledged it still took a few minutes to get the food. I was told when I ordered at 8:06 that my order would be ready in 10-15 minutes and it ended up taking 21 minutes. My food was hot and delicious but the wait and service was not. Barely an apology was made.

The atmosphere is definitely lacking. There was a total of four occupied tables, plus two to three servers. It took approximately an hour and a few minutes for a completed visit. It shouldn't take 15 minutes for someone to take an order in a practically empty restaurant.

The server was super nice . My respects for all the employees for overworking. This place needs more staff. The owner should hire more people !!! or give your employees a good raise . They were so busy and a lot of clients were mad and left . Took a long time to get the food .. owners fault due to low staff.

Food was served quickly and hostess great but food was dry. Quiche was salty and potatoes were rather tasteless. Not the Mimis I remember.

Last Saturday we had lunch there. It was semi busy but certainly not anywhere near capacity. We were seated promptly and waiting on in a reasonable amount of time. The server was engaged and attentive but he was waiting on entirely too many tables. As a result, our food arrived warm-ish. I saw our burgers placed on the counter to be picked up and taken to us but it sat there for a good 5 minutes. By that time it wasn't hot and barely warm. My friend mentioned to the server that his friend were cold. To his credit, the server had hot fries in a basket within about 15 seconds. That was amazing. It did not, however, necessarily compensate for the over-arching lack of organization and lack of wait staff to adequately take care of the patrons. Hats off to our server though. Unfortunately I never caught his name.

Very displeased with how my May 9, 2021, catering order was handled. After calling several locations, I was assured by Evan at the Tustin restaurant that they would be able to accommodate my Hot Brunch Feast in the small size. I had asked to pick it up at 12:30, but Evan advised that it would be busier at that time and asked if I could pick up my order at 11:30 instead. I was happy to oblige since he agreed to prepare my order during one of their busiest days, Mother’s Day. I called again on Saturday, to confirm they would still be able to prepare my food on Sunday and was told again yes by Evan. On Sunday, my son and I arrived at 11:45, to give them a chance to complete the order in case they were running behind. When we made it to the To Go counter, the young woman behind the counter mentioned that our food would not be ready for another 30 minutes and asked if we wanted to pay ahead of time. She proceeded to ring me up for a total of $40 some odd dollars. I advised her that the Mimi’s website, lists the small Hot Brunch Feast at $90. She then appeared confused and asked what it was that I ordered, so I repeated that it was the Hot Brunch Feast. She did not know what this meal was and went to find a menu, I’m guessing to confirm the price? After some time, she returned with the menu and rung me up for the correct amount. She told me that someone would bring our order out to my car and asked for a description of my car. By 12:55, no one had delivered our order, so my son and I went back in to check on the status. There was a different young woman at the counter. I showed her my receipt and asked when my order would be ready. She said it was being prepared because she saw her colleague placing catering trays into a bag and started to help another customer. Those items were left on the counter unattended, so I went to check if that was my food, which it wasn’t. A few minutes later, another colleague FINALLY brought out our order. I don’t recall any apology from the last employee we dealt with, perhaps because she was unaware of how long our wait had become? I also question, why Evan recommended an 11:30 a.m. pick up time instead of agreeing to my original 12:30 time? I also don’t understand why he did not take down my phone number to call with any problems, such as their staff running behind schedule, which I would have understood because of Mother’s Day. Why too, was the first staff member not familiar enough with their menu items? Very poorly run location, to which I will never return.

It's a Mimi's. They try to be a French bistro, but looks like a big boy. The service wasn't great and the food appeared and tasted like it was preheated. Won't go again. There's a reason they're all closing

The appetizers where horrible. Ordered the trio. The quesidillas tasted very salty and nasty, the spinach dip was also very salty and bad. We asked for more bread to try to digest the salty dip, it never came. The server was doing front desk and serving. She was not keeping up with all request. I let her know how bad the food was and she just said, "oh".

Service & staff were great! Cleanliness of floors & bathrooms poor. We were there at 2 pm on a Thursday. Food not even worth rating. Sorry Mimi's. We remember when it was at least clean and food standard fare, but decent. You've lost your focus somewhere along the way, unless this was your goal.

Not very good. Food has gone downhill but prices way up. Both breakfasts were burned beyond being edible. The tomato sauce on the chicken parmesan was watery and seemed to be cheap jar sauce. For the prices you'd think it would be better. Won't be back. Had better breakfast at Denny's sadly!

Very slow service. It was Memorial Day and we arrived at 9:00am. The place was empty, but it took a long time to have our order taken and then an hour before being served. Food presentation received a C-. The waiter was pleasant, but clearly stressed; possibly still suffering from the Covid economy. We will think twice before back.

I have not been at Mimi’s in years, I met with my friend there for breakfast. There was a baby shower going on, it was very loud even though it was in a different room. I ordered a chicken cordon blue, it was overcooked, I couldn’t even cut it with the knife, I showed that to the waitress, she asked me if I want a sharper knife 😆🤣😂 I told her, I want a meat that is soft to cut and eat. She changed for something else. My friend ordered a tuna melt, it was horrible, she didn’t eat it and she didn’t want to complain, so, she just ate the fries and the salad. We’ll never go back for sure.

Had the French Pot Roast. Looked and tasted like the brown gravy sat for awhile because it tasted pretty salty and, was thick and dark in color. I don't think that I will be ordering this again. On the bright side, my friend enjoyed the French dip sandwich.

This Mimi‘s used to be awesome however, has gone downhill. I was there in November. Food was good service quite slow. I was there today service very slow. Only noticed two waitresses during lunch hour. Ladies restroom was filthy. Food was OK but not worth What we paid for it . I ordered the quiche the quiche which was good and warm came with a side salad, which was wilted lettuce and brown and black. I sent it back and asked for another salad which I got and it was OK don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon. Very sad.

Ordered Chicken, baked potato, and broccoli. The baked potato was hot and perfect, the chicken was very odd looking so I tasted it but didn't eat it, and the broccoli and chicken were lacking any flavor at all. The baked potato was great though!

I was there with my family for thanksgiving dinner we had a reservation and it went well with that, we got seated less than 5 minutes after we arrived, hostess were really nice, but as soon as we were seated everything went down hill, our waitress took at least 10 minutes to get to us after that she took our drink and food order together we knew she was busy so we try to make our order as simple as possible 2 ice teas 2 soft drinks and 4 turkey dinners as they are served no modifications, 3 soups and 1 salad. After that 10 minutes after she came back with our soups and salad and 10 minutes after with the drinks so soup before drinks. 40 minutes after we got our food but, at this point we had ask already 2 times for bread after that we ask for bread in the middle of our dinner and when we were almost done with our dinner we ask one more time. She just keeps saying sure as soon as is out of the oven! So I guess is one oven per table because every other table got their bread at the end we were over it and ask for our pies to go she brought them all 4 at the same time and literally almost threw the boxes on our table so two of them landed upside down. Honestly for an $185 dollars meal for 4 people I think is overpriced I think I would rather go to Denny’s next time better service at way cheaper price.

It’s been a while since I’ve been here. And I won’t be back anytime soon. The service was terrific. He was friendly and professional. However, the grilled salmon was overcooked and flavorless, and the rice melody was basic white rice with no flavor. The au gratin potatoes and side Caesar salad were pretty good. The meal, a lemonade, and dessert were about $45. I was very disappointed with my entree, and it certainly wasn’t worth $21 (including side salad).

The place is great and the service is really nice. My friends and I ordered the breakfast food and most of the food wasn’t cooked all the way. I ordered pancakes and the top side seemed fine, but when I took a bite I noticed that it tasted like pancake batter. I flipped it over and the pancakes were yellow-white on the bottom. I was really looking forward to eating them but now I’m kinda grossed out. My friend ordered pancakes and got the same thing. Other friend ordered eggs benedict and she said her eggs weren’t cooked right. Great place other than that!

We used to go to Mimi's Cafe quite often, however, lately both the food and the service have been going downhill. Today was pretty much the last straw. The menu has changed, and the service is not as friendly as it was in the past. The kicker, though, is that everyone at my table didn't like any of the food we ordered. To the point where we left Mimi's (after paying, of course) and picked up some fast food - which was much better. Sad to say, I will probably not be going back to Mimi's.

Jazmín the waiter sat us down got our order and never followed up once. We needed things like napkins & waters. We had to finish our food without seeing her once and had to get up to find her and ask for our bill. I understand if it is busy but in this case it was not packed by any means.

Walked in to be seated and waited 10 mins standing at the entrance. One server visible by the register looking at his cell phone. Four tables being served. No one approached us or no interaction as I’ll be right there. Service this bad I would reconsider the 4.1 rating

Extremely disappointed by every aspect of this restaurant. The restaurant was empty and we were sat immediately. The waitress did not come back for 15 minutes to get our drink order and to deliver our waters took another 15 minutes. We ordered when she brought our waters and the food presentation was spot on (I will give the cooks that! But the food was terrible. The potatoes were raw and my daughters French toast was batter in the middle). The food was obviously sitting waiting for a long time because it was cold, not even warm when it hit our table. We had a baby and had to ask for a high chair which took her until our food was served to bring. It was filthy and I had to go to my car to get sanitizer and cleaner. The picture is my 3rd napkin cleaning it. There was food on it... you'd think during a pandemic they would keep things cleaner. I hate to be a downer and love leaving 5 stars but this is not a place you want to go.

Ordered pick-up which consisted of the citrus salmon salad and a children’s chicken entree. The drink included with the children’s meal was warm. The salmon was not cooked all the way through and there was no dressing included. Disappointing meal for $30.

Terrible service. When I arrive with my two toddlers I asked for high chair and server an old lady just left and didn’t bring me the high chairs I had to get it my self. The server lacked awareness and communication. My food was brought without utensils and I waited five minutes to get them overall bad service.

Took my Mom there for Thanksgiving. I'm not a foodie by any means, I'll eat PB and J for every meal. But DAMN, I had better food in boot camp. Not a joke. Never having been there, I had the feeling it would be like an upscale Marie Calenders. Nope.

Horrible service, the lady hostess/ waiter had an attitude asking me what did I needed it, when I was waiting to be seated, Im like to be seated and she got bother she said what?! Im like with a smile I haven’t been here im just waiting to be seated. Not a smile from her just attitude, she gave another lady attitude when the lady told her she was ready to order she said you have to wait there is other people ahead of you I was shocked. Also my husband got his food first and I had to wait for my food until he was almost done, she also forgot to bring me my drink I had my food with no drink. I wonder where is the manager or owner of this place is horrible. Like seriously nobody cares for the customers or the service the appetizer was rush and not cooked through. I could see the red veins on the piece of chicken.

The service from the server was top notch. His name was Abraham and he went above and beyond his capability to insure our family's experience being great. Unfortunately, the food took way too long to come out and, even, 3 of us didn't get our food (2 burgers and a ribeye). I hesitate to come back unless someone really wants to try it. On a side note: how are you a French style restaurant and you don't serve crepes?!?! Boggles the mind.

Today I went in to get a simple breakfast. Mimi's has always been one of my favorite places, but today the manager decided to play server and made me cry. My day was already bad, I had to get a biopsy because of the possibility of cancer. So all I wanted in the end was to go out with my mom to one of my old favorite restaurants, but when they sat us down they put us in her (blonde lady with an unreasonable hatred for no reason) section. Coolio, never had an issue with service before today. We make our drink orders we go on with conversations and picking a meal. She comes back over to take our orders, I made one mistake reading the menu and instead of trying to help she just stands there with an additude acting like I was wrong for not understanding. Because clearly, it is my fault. Its fine if I'm in the wrong, sometimes I am. But that doesn't give you a right to be rude for no reason and make me rush. If I got it wrong then explain and let the other person order first or give us more time! There's no reason to have an attitude! If there is a problem in your life that doesn't matter, it shouldn't affect you in the workplace and if it is then take a break. You have NO RIGHT to ruin my day and make me cry for no reason. Was I oversensitive? Yes. But who wouldn't be when they might have cancer?! Learn patience and empathy! Also later on when asking for a manager we learned that she was the manager. Great! Amazing! Terrific! We love when restaurants get bad management when there are 2 other significantly more qualified employees right there because they clearly understood empathy way better than she did. TLDR: DON'T GO HERE, manager was extremely rude for no reason! The other staff there were extremely nice. Which makes no sense to me. They should be the manager, they were understanding, tried problem solving, and actually got a solution done. They understood that I was upset and so they helped us! The manager should learn from their staff because clearly they have no idea what empathy and care is. If you do go make sure you don't get sat in the section with the manager lady with fake blonde hair!

Called ahead for some madelines, get there and it’s not available. Ask for another bakery, carrot nut loaf and the host left my order to go grab another order. Hostess next to her just looking, seems very undertrained and overwhelmed staff unable to process orders as they are received.
