Poke Tiki - Tustin Tustin Reviews
My friend and I both chose the small bowl (2 fish). There’s plenty of food. Many choices of each category including sauce. I went with signature; friend went with volcano 2 which is medium spicy and liked it. I chose non-spicy because, with pickled ginger and seaweed salad it is already flavorful enough for me. No line at 5pm on Friday. Food is fresh. Recommended! Also plan to try this chain at other locations.
Online ordering is quick, easy, and fast. Never had to wait more than 10 minutes between placing the order online and picking up. Staff is friendly, building is clean, and bowls are neatly organized – some other places will just toss all the toppings in haphazardly.
Poke Tiki is a solid poke place - one of my favs in Tustin! Come in and you'll start pretty quickly through the line. They have options for a small / medium / large bowl. Bases include salad, white and brown rice and I believe they have chips as well. From there you get to choose your protein which they have a fair amount of diverse options including the standards (tuna/salmon/shrimp) to some unique ones like spicy salmon. They have ponzu/sesame oil as well as some unique sauces like their Volcano (levels 1 - 3 in spiciness) as well as a spicy mayo and wasabi sauce. Then you'll be able to add all the condiments like crab meat, cucumbers, and the seaweed salad as well as the dry toppings like furikake and sesame seeds. They do have avocado for an extra additional price (like about a $1ish). Overall, for a medium bowl with the avocado, it's about $12+ which I think is pretty standard and not too bad for a poke place. Overall, I think the fish is pretty fresh and yummy. The sauces aren't blowout unique sauces but are flavorful and solid overall. You can always ask for more and on the side too. Service has been friendly too. When they're busy, I totally understand the service isn't as nice as on a slower night but when it's slower, the servers are usually friendly with quick chit chats. They are also efficient and usually get your order done pretty quickly. They have a self-serve water station with like cucumbers in it to give it a nice crisp taste. They also have some unique bottled drinks in the back. They also have a rewards program and a text for receipt option that I appreciate. Seating is not too bad. Tables/stool seating are both available usually when I get there with the busiest times being lunch times on weekdays. Personally the theme is a little funky to me (tiki themed) for a poke place, but it's clean.
I am so ashamed of myself for always going to the poketeria across from my hotel! Poke Tiki was suggested to me by a local today, so I drove the 2 miles (versus walking across the street!) and I’m so glad I did! The tuna is so fresh, spicy tuna is tasty and delicious! They had more toppings than most poke restaurants and the staff was polite and charming. This will be my new spot from now on!
This is the #1 poke spot in Tustin, by far! They offer the largest portions of any place I've been to in recent memory. Business also seems to be pretty good so that means the fish is usually fresh and available. It has the same format as many other build-your own poke bowl places - choose your base of rice, salad, or chips (or a combination) and then three to five scoops of fish, and then toppings. They have all of the standard toppings, including masago, onion, cucumber, soybeans, etc. I've been coming here for quite some time and have yet to be disappointed. Highly recommended!
I love everything about this location! The customer service frm all of the staff is absolutely amazing, very welcoming, friendly with a lot of smiles! Thank you! The food is always fresh! The place is very clean! The display counter is very neat and clean, there’s never any crumbs or food spills all over the counter! The amount of fishes and fixings and the size of the bowl is well worth whatever the price is for the different sizes! Myself, I always get the XL bowl with all salad base…I love their albacore crab salad! That being said I would recommend this place to all that are in search for a perfect tiki bowl…🌺🌺🌺🌺😎😎😎
The ratings speak for themselves. The fish was super fresh and the texture was great. Sometimes I get weird textures from the fish at poke spots but not this place. Their volcano sauce has such a nice kick and flavor to it. Its not just some basic hot sauce. I ordered it online during lunch hour so it was pretty busy but I didn’t have to wait too long and the wait was definitely worth it anyway. I’m pretty picky about my poke and this spot is for sure on my favorite list. Their staff was also polite. I had a pick up order during lunch hour and the girl was honest about the wait time but make sure I was taken care of in a timely manner despite the growing line. I really appreciated that! Sometimes I feel like online orders don’t get priority at certain places if the line continues to get bigger but I definitely did not feel that way about this place. Clearly I loved the place, hence my long review. Just go. Lol. You won’t be disappointed.
Best poke bowl place in Tustin. So delicious, we come at least once a week. Fresh fish and I love the vegetable assortments.
Literally the BEST POKE BOWL I EVER HAD! I ordered via Grubhub and was surprised about the variety they offer for comparable low pricing. I expected the quality to be average but the pictures looked so good, that I decided to give it a try. When the bowls arrived I didn’t trust my eyes. They looked amazing! And the looks didn’t deceive… the taste was delicious!!! Absolutely fresh, quick delivery, 10 out of 10! Thank you so much for the delicious lunch!
This is my regular poke place. By far the best for options and price. Everything is so fresh, and lots of toppings. I usually go during lunch and they are busy, but have fast & great service. Very generous with the portions and usually throw in miso soup. One of my favorite poke places!
Very quick service. Lots of parking. XL 5 scoops was around $15 which is a good price. Toppings were excellent and almost everything is included. Ingredients were very fresh and good portions. The volcano 3 sauce is very hot! Will be back again!
One of the best Poke places that I've tried in the area. It's cheap compared to other poke places and you get more quantity without sacrificing quality. Servers are respectful and nice. You can order in advance for take-out now. Even though is not the closest option for me is worth the drive. Totally recommended!
This is one of my favorite places to eat in the area. It's not as interesting as some Old Town Tustin spots, but it is really good! I love being able to walk here, get healthy food, and feel good when I leave. The portions are perfect, and I really like their miso soup (which is free with a meal). The interior is very small, so no large parties or I would just suggest take out. I would suggest the albacore, scallops, and cooked shrimp, but all of the fish options are great. You can now get chicken as well.
Tasty poke with lots of options not found at other places like brown rice and albacore.... they have jalapeño and pineapple too mmmm. Please add mango too, my son's favorite. Gals that help me are efficient and friendly.
Gluten free poke option for celiacs! The fish here is so fresh, I could smell it after opening the door. This may just be the best poke in Tustin, hands down! Highly recommended by yours truly!!! 🐢👍✨
We stopped by before closing, took 2 poke bowls, nice people put everything on our plate quickly. Thank you! It was delicious, filling and fast! Poke bowls like in Hawaii 🪬🩵
Delicious! Only downside is there are no restrooms, but perfect spot for a quick lunch or dinner. Friendly service.
awesome poke. All the bowls are the same size, you just add more scoops of fish between small, medium and large. really enjoyed the toppings and the variety of spicy sauces
One of the best Poke places I’ve been too in Orange County. Fish is always fresh! Their signature sauce is amazing! 100% recommend! Employees are super friendly
First time and we enjoyed it! Their selection had some that we haven’t seen before or often like the salmon crab salad (don’t get this if you don’t like texture), cilantro topping, or the wasabi cilantro sauce. Their price is regular (typical high end but worth your penny) and has better portions than other places, not too much and not too little. Their crab meat is REALLY crabby, it literally tastes like they just pulled it out its leg and shredded it 😂 Big fan of the seaweed salad’s taste. A lot of seating, indoor and outdoor, and nicely decorated with a Hawaiian theme. Music choice is good and relaxing. We also liked that they offer miso soup and… hot green tea!! Parking is in a plaza so you don’t have to worry. We found the restaurant very clean. Only “downside” is no bathroom, but it’s surrounded by places that might have one.
First time trying poke and this place is just it! Perfect quantity AND quality for such a cheap price. It is the perfect spot for lunch and quick to fill you up. The staff is also very friendly, so don't be shy if it is your first time (: I'll be coming back!
I love Poke and I've found my new favorite Poke spot... I'd actually say that my girlfriend and I are Poke snobs... The portions, quality, options, attention to detail, freshness and flavor set this Poke spot far ahead of the competition... ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!
I’ve come here twice and each experience has been refreshing! The employees are always kind, funny and patient. Also the quality and price is superb. Especially when you get a free miso soup! I always try to stop by for a bowl whenever I’m in the area :)
One of the better Poki places around. I always go with salad as my base and load up with all the goodies. Service is always fast.

Food portion, pice is good. Just need to figure out what sauce combination is best. Service was good. A bit small inside if you are eating there

This poke place has a very cute beach decor with a new feel to their interior. Their poke highlights are definitely the variety of protein choices such as albacore crab salad and spicy salmon as well as the generous portions. When we came in their rice was slightly undercooked and their avacados were not very appetizing. We will definitely try it again, it was good overall:)
First time trying this place as we were around and the food is surprisingly good. Got the 2 protein small bowl. The salmon and spicy tuna are fresh and yummy. The volcano sauce and the toppings are good. A big portion for small bowl at decent price. Will definitely try again when we are in the area
I came here for lunch. It was slightly busy because of the lunch rush hour, but the service was fast. They give you a pretty generous helping considering the price ($9) for a regular bowl. I got tuna, salmon, and albacore for my fish, and would say they were good. Albacore wasn't as great as the tuna and salmon, but still good. Definitely one of the cheaper poke places I've been to and was well worth the money. One nice thing I noticed about this place is that they will add sauce to the fish, but at the end, they will give you a take-out sauce pan for extra sauce if you want with no extra charge. This was wonderful because I got to control the amount of sauce I wanted for my bowl. They also have more toppings than other places, which I definitely took advantage of. Would say their avocado is not the greatest quality though. The store is rather small and there are not too many tables to sit and eat, so wouldn't recommend coming here with a large group.
It’s kind of same price with their competitors. I choose them since they have good quality of fish even they do not offer free avocado as other place. It’s a little bit sad to get this presentation. They need to train their employee for placing the food.
Its kinda insane how they give you a massive bowl but only give you such a measly portion for the small. It really doesnt feel right. Its a giant mountain of rice/whatever your base is and just a small serving of protein in the middle. Additionally the atmosphere feels really dead inside the restaurant. Maybe some music playing would liven it up. The employees dont seem like they really want to be there either it seems. I wont be coming back.
This place is great for the area and for the actual quality of the bowls and toppings they have. The only problem is that employees aren’t very good at managing the in person line and the online orders. I spent about 30 min today waiting as the two girls handling the orders were prioritizing the online orders and they also had someone in line who was clearly not ready to order so when they started with her, it took 20 min to get thru 4 bowls. One of the girls who was putting in rice/protein was trying to help with toppings and the other lady with 5 bowls was on the phone trying to figure out her orders and the other employee told her no. So there were 3-4 bowls with just rice/protein sitting there and it was causing a hold up. I understand that there may be a “process” for how things normally go but it doesn’t make any sense to have the line held up and bowls just sitting there waiting on toppings. About 3 ppl left and there was a line of about 10 ppl in line when I finally left with my bowl. I will stop coming back if this place can’t get it together . This isn’t the first time I have had to wait bc they seem to be inefficient. So just keep that in mind when trying them out.
This is my go to poke spot! Always on point! *Update* This used to be my go to spot, i don't know what happened but I go here at least 3 to 4 times a month. Now it's been a inconsistent time, sometimes i go and literally get the smallest of portions 😫 like they don't even give full portions sometimes. For the price i pay for a Large it's just not worth it anymore if they are skimping on portions.
There is unfortunately a new employee here that gives the most painfully small servings you've ever seen. I know they're new so I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but two weeks later and they still skimp on every scoop of topping and fish. I likely won't be going back because it's just not worth it if you get a tiny spoonful of even the cheaper toppings like corn.
Food is okay, but they are massively overpriced. I’d come back if it were half the price for the portion you get, but other than that, it isn’t worth it. You can get the same thing from Tommy’s Sushi, a legit sushi restaurant! Spam & Rice- $2.95! For one! Madness!
Pros: Good portions Good Toppings Variety of sized bowls (4 different sizes) Price is fair Cons: Don't mix your fish with the desires sauce, it's only drizzled over.... huge bummer because that's basically what poke is. So your fish ends up being pretty dry (in my case anyways because I got 5 scoops of fish and a drizzle isn't enough to properly coat it all). Rice was VERY dry... sauces were not very flavorful. The toppings are good, but nothing amazing compared to other poke places I've been too
This was my first time going to Poke Tiki after hearing some good reviews about them. Their service is great and portion sizes/food are decent for what you're paying for. However, while I was eating my bowl, I bit onto a staple that was somehow in my food. It chipped my tooth slightly and soured my appetite. Super sucks because I was enjoying my food up until then. Hopefully this is a one-off thing but I'm just glad that someone else didn't choke on this staple. Proof below.

the food was pretty good, they don’t really have much sauce option. the two girls working were pretty rude i couldn’t really hear them and they were just getting really annoyed and barely said two words when we were being super social and well tempered. if you’re having a bad day leave it at home fr.

My friends and I got food poisoning from the spicy salmon. One of the workers was being generous with the servings of fish and then the other worker asked to see her in the back and reprimanded her. The vibes were not it.
I ordered takeout from Poke Tiki, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The food was not fresh at all. The salmon had bones in it, and some pieces even smelled spoiled. The shrimp was also bad, and the avocado wasn’t fresh—it had a strange, foam-like texture. After just a few bites, I had to throw everything away. I’m not willing to risk my health for this. I honestly don’t understand how a restaurant that relies on freshness can operate with such poor quality.
Do not order grubhub from here, they rip you off on purpose. We made a corporate order and they serve you inferior product than what you would get in person. They also mess up your order on purpose and serve you the product no one else gets. I ordered salmon and tuna but got spicy tuna (horrible) and imitation crab( also horrible). The owner of this place is just nasty obviously to run a business like this. Never ordering from this place again or going in person for their thievery
The food was good, the ladies serving are polite and friendly. Manager (or owner) has a terrible way of handling his customer's negative experience. I was enjoying my bowl but near the end I found a hair in the bite I was about to take. I took it to the counter and the ladies apologized, offered me a refund and took the bowl to the back. Shortly after a man came out and, very rudely, said he'd give me 50% refund because I'd "already eaten most of the food". He stated "you ate almost all the food and now you complain you found a hair". I don't control where in my meal that hair came up and I would much rather have found it at the top because knowing I ate while the hair was in my meal is nauseating! In short if you don't mind eating hair, and rude accusatory management, this place is good.
The girl who helped me was super rude. It was my first time here and I was reading off what I wanted from the menu. I got to step 4 for toppings and the girl got mad at me for reading some out of order? Like what? How am I supposed to know? Then I told her I couldn't hear her and she got all flustered. I know people have bad days, but if you don't like your job go work somewhere else. This girl had blonde hair and wasn't wearing a name tag. Their prices were also $2 higher than the old menu pictures on here. Over all nothing special about this place and expensive. Guess my go to Poke place search continues.
My husband and I have tried them a few times. Unfortunately he gets diarrhea from it and eventually stopped. I kept going though since it’s the closest poke and our favorite poke place is far. Well tonight was the last straw. I ordered spicy tuna and spicy salmon. It looked unappetizing and well, it was. I’m upset because it was t cheap and I couldn’t finish it since I don’t want to get sick but I’m sure I will. It tasted very fishy and bad. I’m attaching the picture. Makes me question the quality of fish here.
The young kid was combative! All I wanted was lunch & everything was a problem with him today, I asked for a spicy sauce, nope. Asked for jalapenos and he added half a bowls worth. Go elsewhere if for no other reason then the horrible service experience. Also the fish, fairly mediocre.
Mediocre at best. Found a bone in the salmon I ordered. Would avoid this place.

Latina worker must hate her job. Came in two separate times to her being unfriendly and unaccommodating. Anytime I ask for a sauce on the side or if I’m purchasing two different plates and ask if I can use my scoop on one and put it on the other plate she’s told me she can’t do it and it’s not allowed. HUH? First time I’ve ever heard that and she wouldn’t even let me put it on the side when I’m literally still paying for it? What a pathetic excuse for being lazy
This Location is EXTREMELY STINGY with the portions. I ordered 2 bowls through uber eats a large bowl and a Medium and i might as well have ordered the small ones. The toppings were not all there, taste was not all there. No decent rice portion. It's pricey to not be getting what you pay for. DONT ORDER OR COME HERE! The location in COSTA MESA is a lot better and they don't get stingy like this location.
