Bagels & Co. Union Turnpike Reviews
My favorite place to get bagels in Queens! The food there is absolutely amazing and the service couldn't be any better! Highly recommend going.
Best bagels! And they have several vegan cream cheese options that are housemade and delicious. Aaand their espresso is good too
Didn't stop between buses. Been there many times. Great selection of various Kosher fare. Will get back soon.
This bagel place is the best and has the best bagels (with egg salad)! Their pastries are also pretty good, but I have no idea how healthy they are.
Very large place, impressive. Service is fast and the bagels are great. NY Bagels are the best and you can get them here.
Great place. Tuna so good. Grilled veg panini with cheese great. As well, there pizza is very good. Believe it or not. Go it is great
Best Bagel shop on Union Turnpike. The Challah bread is baked fresh early Friday morning and it's divine.
Love their everything bagels.
Tasty Bagels and Pizza. Everything I’ve ever gotten from here has been amazing. Nice area to sit indoors and outdoors.
I always make sure to stop here when ever I'm around. Best bagles! We bring a few dozens back to Jersey .
I was on my way to Cunningham park recycling, when I caught a glimpse of people standing outside on line. Hmmm can't be all that bad! It was delicious, excellent bagels great texture and taste and friendly patrons.
I have never eaten here, so I can’t attest to the quality of the bagels. But the staff customer service is beyond excellent. I just bought some bagels to take on vacation with me to visit some former New Yorkers. My usual bagel shop was closed so I came here. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and if the bagels are good I think I’ll start coming here instead.
Great bagels. Friendly service. Not the best coffee but in a pinch for a caffeine fix it will work.
The people there are so nice, very welcome and warm. The food is very delicious, my son wanted the same lunch every day when he had a summer camp near the area!
This place is awesome never eating a bagel at Dunkin again lol half a bagel can fix the hunger . And the staff are just so sweet and ready to help right away . Try the grilled cheese with tuna and hard boiled egg a staff member suggested it and it was just perfect for lunch .
Bagels are delicious, cheap, and very big for the price. There are loads of options for cream cheeses and other spreads and it's a great environment.
I had an everything bagel with cream cheese. It’s one of the best in queens !!!!! Cooked perfect and not cheap with the cream cheese. it’s better than the little bagel you get from utopia bagels (way overrated)
The best breakfast place in New York! Amazing prices and delicious food. Opens early and food is ready quickly. Everything is fresh and worth every penny!
The staff is so kind and friendly! Love the food. Thank you always carrying a smile on your faces, it makes a big difference in the mornings.
One of the best bagel places in Queens! Food is amazing and its always a pleasure to stop by. The service is excellent and love the outdoor seating!
The best bagels. If you're looking for a good Kosher Deli this is it. Great staff and service for sit down or take out.
Tasty and fresh bagels. The real deal bagel. love the bagels and service. top notch service. love the hard working guys behind the counter.
Amazing selection of bagels and spreads. And the staff and service is beyond excellent. Wish I lived closer to it, I stop in anytime I'm nearly.
Bagels & Co. is hands down my favorite bagel spot in Queens! It’s a popular spot that's always buzzing with activity, and for good reason. The bagels are consistently fresh, soft, and absolutely delicious. The workers and owner are incredibly friendly, making the experience even better. A must-visit for bagel lovers in the area!
Great kosher bagel place. The food was delicious.
I was very intrigued at always seeing such long lines when I drove past this spot. One day, the wife and I took a chance, and the bagels are amazing!! Wow, the crunch of the bagel and the amount of cream cheese they apply is perfect. Great variety of bagels and cream cheese, the seating is truly comfortable and the staff are great! This has now become a routine every Sunday morning.
Everything is delicious! Menu has a large variety of different bagels, spreads, eggs, and drinks. Quick and friendly service. They are not cheap with their spreads, and give you large portions.
Absolutely the best bagels I've had!*Chefs kiss* They're fresh and service is pretty quick given how it always gets busy
Possibly the best bagels in the area. The lines are always out the door but service is always quick. The bagels have a nice soft crunchy shell and the breading is nice and soft. They have a nice selection of bagels and spreads and everything always tastes fresh. the outdoor seating area in the back is a nice touch too.
Best Kosher breakfast bagels. Great food! Service is excellent - always fresh and tasty.
Best kosher food in queens. Amazing bagels, pizza, salads, and lots of other goodies. Everything I've tried here has been great. My wife and I come here all the time. They also have a quaint outdoor seating area which is really nice in the summer months. Overall a great place to either get a quick bagel or sit down for a delicious lunch.
Great Place to go For Breakfast with Company or even take to go. Amazing Services - Lines go Fast. They know what they are doing. Personally i love the iced coffee - egg and cheese - and tuna salad with avocado. Keep it up guys!
Great place, cool atmosphere, all the guys behind the counter had a smile..kinda knew what how you wanted something before I asked. Lol Pumpkin nickel bagels were soft fresh yasyed GREAT. cream cheese was good. Coffee was perfect (I'm picky about Coffee) My hubby had the everything bagel with cc n chives again excellent across the board. He had an ice coffee(he's more picky then I with coffee) he said ice coffee was great. As for pricing....I expected to pay Manhattan prices and I didn't. It was cheaper there then my local DD for the same items. Under $14.50
It is impossible to find better bagels than these guys. Prove me wrong! Just make sure you get there before 2:30pm on Fridays because they close early even though their website says 10pm. That's not updated. Great selection of bagels, cream cheese, awesome lox, and they're fast!
My wife and I were introduced to Bagels & Co some years ago and a visit to New York for us both is not complete without partaking of the bagels, the salads, the soups etc. The quality over the years has been maintained at a high level. For price I believe there products to be very reasonable. There is no compromise on freshness of both the bagel, bagette etc and the fillinhs and there is no scrimping on the amount of fillings included. The service is excellent. Who needs to go elsewhere. The staff is to be commended for the quality of the components of their menu.
Now that's what I'm talking about! That bagel was full, fresh, and delicious. I ordered everything bagel, cream cheese, salmon, lettuce, and tomatoes. Coming here again for more. Thanks for the service!
Absolutely delicious bagels. Fresh and delicious. Decently priced and nice size bagels
The best breakfast place in New York. I come here regularly and everyone is top notch service. Delicious food. Affordable and large portion sizes. Definitely recommend
The best bagles in town! Everything is fresh and feels it made 5 minutes ago ! Very delicious.
Absolutely love this spot! Very busy spot with long lines depending on the day and time. I ordered a sesame bagel, lightly toasted, with butter, salt, black pepper, and an omelette. The bagel was huge, fresh, and had that perfect chewy texture. Omelette was good it was all veggie. They serve other items as well even pizza is on the menu but didn't try that. I also grabbed three sesame bagels with butter for my family, lightly toasted the same way. They were all consistent in size and quality, and everyone was happy with them. Prices were very fair, especially considering how large the bagels are. You can dine in or take out your choice but they have seating inside and outside. Overall, quick service, friendly staff, and really solid bagels. I'll definitely be back!
Great bagels, love the friendly staff. Food is always good and fresh! The place haven't been renovated in years but it's still nice and extremely clean and well maintained.
Went there for brunch this afternoon. We were a party of 5 we loved all the bagel sanwiches we got. Lot of room to sit outside. Worth checking out. Grilled cheese with toasted bagel $7 --awesome price. People were nice. Guys behind the counter were hardworking and super nice. Would go back.
First of all, this place smells amazing as soon as you walk in the front door. I ordered a simple everything bagel with cream cheese on it which was absolutely delightful. Small drip coffee. I got some artichoke and tomato salad for later for lunch. The prices here are very reasonable. My total for breakfast lunch and coffee was $10.50. They have all kinds of incredible baked goods here. I’ll definitely be back.
Super fast. Line for very long and they were very quick. They are kosher. They are bilingual Spanish. They’re clean. They have bathrooms. They are very accommodating to customers. In fact, they move the table over for people that wanted to sit together. When you take a bite of their warm, soft bagels, the cream cheese oozes out. It’s great! There are bagels are very delicious and very fresh.
Food is just OK. The people are nice and the place is nice. Looks like a high class restaurant.
Bagels and drinks were great. Service is a bit slow for a bagel store. Otherwise would have given 5 stars.
Friendly eager staff, very good food, big portions, wide selection of bagel-types & spreads (also includes various types of fish), tea or coffee or beverage, plus (if you prefer) you can instead get a veggie-or-made-to-order salad or hot veggie dinner. And of course you can eat there or take out. I eat there often. It's a casual sometimes calm & sometimes bustling neighnorhood place. Note: Because (?) the owners are Jewish, the place usually closes early on Fridays & I think the place is also closed on Saturdays.
Good place. Went there for breakfast. Bagels are fresh and varieties of cream cheese. Coffee is also good. Will go there again.
Best bagels around. The girls on the register aren't exactly nasty, but they're definitely not pleasant. I put up with it though because like I said the bagels can't be beat.
Bagels are delicious, there’s always a long wait but they’re worth unless you get the consistently rude worker behind the counter. From the first time I went there if you ask him something he consistently has some sort of attitude and no customer service (older Latino guy). Maybe he’s been there a few years so he’s permitted to behave that way. Everyone else has been good, out family goes there every other week or so if we can stand the usual 40min wait on a Sunday.
Neighborhood spot. Legit.... been here forever. They are kosher.. so no Bacon Egg n Cheese.. but its alright. I got a toasted everything bagel with egg and cheese and it was good. Tasted healthy without the bacon. Needed ketchup salt and pepper though. I forgot to ask. The dudes working behind the counters are good. They move the line along even when it can get so long. The neighborhood is always changing. Im a native, been here for over 4 decades and its a trip to see generations of new families in the hood congregating on a Sunday morning over hot coffee and bagels. The guys behind the counter work like they are dedicated to their craft although don't look so kosher. I brought Shawty with me. We ain't kosher but we like eating like this. Halal one day.... kosher the next. Shorty got the bagel with scallian cream cheese and snapple.. i got a Latte with my bagel and egg and cheese. mad good too. Again...Neighborhood spot.... parking situation is ok. No lot and the busy street makes finding parking a little difficult. If you dont mind paying the meter, or walking a coupe of blocks it is manageable. It can get crowded.... worthwhile if you are in the hood... but remember... no Becon Egg Cheese...
Did not like bagels and Billy's. staff were rude. coffee was delicious.
I'll skip this place next time. There are so many better bagel spots. This one was just a bit below average.
Amazing bagel spot where the bagel comes first and the customer comes second! I absolutely love the bagels that come out of this place, but those guys who prepare the bagels? Yikes! Man are they scary to give your order to. There is a chain of command between them, so you’ll meet the nicer employees which tend to be younger. They rush you along due to how popular the location is which isn’t a justification by any means. Need more milk in your tea? Well take a drop of attitude with it. Have a question about a specific bagel? You might just tick one of those employees off. Give it a shot, you’ll most definitely enjoy the bagels, but don’t expect to be treated as a customer they’d like to remember.
Great bagels. But be very cautious when ordering cause the bagels are $1.50, yet the cream cheese is $5.00!! Not only that, the negative attitude they give goes to show they’re in business, and they don’t care (don’t like it? Get out)! $5.00 for cream cheese!!!!!!!
Food is fresh nothing very special, coffee very good.Clean roomy place with tables inside and out. Bagels are average, they are not cooked enough so they are very soft, almost like Hoagy bread. There really isn't any other take out place near here. The price list posted on the deli refigerator where you order is out of date and when I went to pay I was told my item was $14 not $11. I said but you have it posted as $11,... sorry she said heres the new price list someone didn't change "that " one " too bad for you ! Completely illegal and unethical..all for $3... I told the woman she has to honor the posted price by law. She said sorry heres the new price. I should have walked out.A true shyster.
This was always my go to place for bagels etc.. Just stopped by yesterday and picked up a bagel and 2 bialys. Something has changed. The baker? The ingredients? The recipe? I don't know what but not the same. And the bialys are not bialys. They are just a bagel with onions in the middle.. very disappointed...
This place has only 1 good thing and it’s not the bagels. It’s the garlic cheese. The service was bad and even the people in charge were absolutely rude. And the bagels were tough and old
It's hard to believe that you could walk into a place and order tuna salad with lettuce and tomato on a wrap and absolutely none of the elements of the sandwich have any flavor. Mealy tomatoes, limp lettuce and the most bland tuna I've ever experienced all wrapped up in a cardboard like whole wheat wrap. Just awful
Food is ok but be aware their prices changes daily and get more and more expensive . The cook is really nice make sure you talk to him when ordering so he can get your order right.
Decent food. But terrible service and experience. The people behind the counter preparing the food need to learn some manners and respect. And the manager should care enough to tell them to improve their service.
I don't understand why you guys can't hire people that care about their customers. Super frustrating to come in and wait for your order longer than once should when it's not busy and then get burned bagel and eggs done very halfhassardly. For real... At 12 dollars with coffee for 3 eggs and bagel is a rip off... When they come out like that. The bagel was burned and way over buttered and my eggs looked like scrambled eggs and I asked for sunny side up. I DON'T EAT BROKEN EGGS FOR 12 DOLLARS.
I orderd 3 times and the first time i ordered i got egg and cheese on a bagel and they put half of a egg on the other bagel. The second time i ordered, i ordered a cream cheese on a bagel and they toasted it for 15 mins. The last time i ordered, i ordered a cream cheese on a bagel and they gave me a toasted bagel with no cream chesse.
As a client, I never post 1 star reviews. However, the service in this place is just horrible. I asked if I can do a pick-up because I was running late for a meeting, the women told me go somewhere else to go get my food and hung up twice.
the bagel was very off tasting and old better going to dunkin’ donuts across the street instead and getting a bagel from there
Please ladies be careful in this place. There are some employees who do not respect their customers… It was my first time in this place. Because I go to the gym and the owner of the gym recommended this place to eat healthy. I was attended by an older Hispanic man, this employee of this place, was very rude and aggressive with my friend; because she asked him for a bagel with Cheese cream and tuna. But this man at her and told her that no meat was sold there. No chicken, no turkey, no tuna, and he told her to make up her mind to order soon or get out of line, he said it in a very dismissive way. When I realized what was happening I told her that I was not going to want anything from her and to please call the manager, but they ignored me and did not call the manager or owner. Sirs; It's no way to treat customers... And more so women! This man was only nice to male customers. This man seems to be a misogynist, because he hates women for being so aggressive. I will definitely never go back to this place and I don't recommend it because of the way they treat women. There's no respect. And he clarified; I am also Hispanic. There is no racism here. Here what there is is MISOGYNY. Managers; Be careful how your employees treat your female customers!!! La atención de un señor un poco mayor hispano hacia las mujeres es pésima y son muy agresivos y groseros con las mujeres. Son Misóginos en este lugar. Que miedo nunca mas regresaremos Aqui.
It is very difficult to order, it is not clear where the queue starts, You can't be happy at the end of a very complicated day
*******Nasty worker there, I came instore to place, a guy become snobby, started to talk about me with he coworker. because I ask him the favor of the tuna, they don't have any labels on them..I think is names is Wayne or Marco, with dreadlock, the foods is great.. but the worker have Bad attitude, when they come to place a order, I have been there three time, I'm not going back.. they Need better customer service.*******
Unsanitary, bees are in all food they should make a dessert from bees since there everywhere. For dine in they don’t ask for vaccinations requirements and nobody wears mask. Very rude and classes staff . Will not be returning avoid this place. 😠
I had a egg bagel with strawberry cream cheese. The cream so water and the bagel taste like Dunkin donut. Don’t recommend it to anyone
Very unprofessional staff rude and disrespectful the owner should be more on top of their staff. Trust me you’re better off going to the bagel shop down the block . Funny part was that I found out the owner was there afterwards. Just walked out
Bagel with lox cream cheese Tomatoe and onion How can you mess that up. Came without Tomatoe and onion. Worker must've been hungover or easily distracted. I approached, he offered to fix, I was just too upset. Ruined my meal. Bagel no good, had better. Hasta luego.
This place was horrid, cream cheese was watery and bland, like cardboard. An insane amount of cream cheese, and the bread was somehow ashy? It was not worth the anger management classes I need after. The signs were snarky and sarcastic. Store was overly political. Very anti-palestine.
17.50$ for lox cream cheese bagel + Poland water is wild... Cheap cream cheese, regular fish 17.50$ I can't imagine, just nothing special, only price. Avoid this place if you don't like spending money for nothing... The worker is just rude, when I just said in shock that 17 dollars for a begel is expensive, he said: IS THAT TOO MUCH FOR YOU??? Isn't too much for me, it's just money down the drain, just bagel...
The worse coffee I ever had. Gross!!!
The NOT have the lox or anything else for that matter. Was sick for 3 days following eating here. From what I see they seem to delete bad reviews as well so BEWARE!
The bagels were super stale. The cream cheese tasted old. It was really a subpar bagel. There are better bagel shops in New York City and around the area. Don’t waste your time or money coming here.
There were five people working behind the counter and not a single one to take my order in five minutes. This was amazing in its own sense. This place looked and smelled nice and I'm sure the food is good. However, competent staff is not something this place has.
They have 3 guys taking orders but they’re not allowed to use the register to ring you up. There’s 1 guy doing the register but takes coffee orders while ringing people up. I waited on line longer to pay than it took to get my 3 bagels. I ordered an untoasted bagel w/ butter. My bagel was literally dry in spots there was so little butter. Inedible! They skimped on the cream cheese too. I asked for EXTRA napkins, this guy said ma’am they’re in the bag. I’m aware that’s why I asked for extra. $17 for 3 bagels, 1 being inedible & 3 drinks and he gave me TWO extra napkins😂 Such a shame they’re cheap with the products you’re paying for, the actual bagels are good
Place was decent looking but the bagels were doughy and tough. Definitely NOT authentic NY bagels. And the service sucked. Waited 30 minutes to get 2 bagels and a coffee to go. They need to hire more counterpersons.
I used to go here all the time growing up but the quality has gone shockingly downhill the last 5-6 times I’ve been here in the last two years. So dry and the cream cheese has been clumpy and unappetizing. Much much prefer Bagel Oasis in the area these days.
Seriously disappointed in the staff. I ordered a flat everything bagel with egg and cheese with ketchup and hot sauce, and payed an additional $3 for vegetables when the menu clearly stated tomatoes, lettuce and onions are .50 cents extra. My order was presented to me with half an egg serving in the bagel, no seasoning, no sauces, and no vegetables. Granted he offered to make me a new sandwich but I insisted I didn’t want another sandwich. No refund option was given, no substitute, nothing. Safe to say I will NEVER give this place my business again.
