Bearpaw River Brewing Company Wasilla Reviews
Pizza was delicious and they have plenty of beers on tap. You know it's a good pizza when you don't feel sick in your tummy after having a few slices. My son loved their in house root beer! Looking forward to my next visit.
I tried Bearpaw River Brewing Company for the first time today. I was impressed with the bbq chicken bagel sandwich and enjoyed the blueberry kombucha they had on tap. The bagel sandwich was great with all the different flavors combined together. This sandwich had a jalapeño bagel, house bbq sauce, blackened chicken, cheddar, pineapple, red onion, and jalapeno. It wasn’t too spicy and the pineapple was a nice sweet touch to it. The kombucha had a good blueberry flavor and I liked how bubbly it was. I would definitely stop by again.
This place is great. Best pizza & wings in the area, good draft beer selection & very polite staff. Personal favorites ate the Whiteout Winter Ale & their new Mango-Habanero wings.
These guys have many excellent beers on tap, but what we've come back for again and again is for their excellent wood-fired pizzas! Their pizzas may be a little on the smaller side and certainly you will pay a premium, but they are probably the best pizzas you can get in the valley! They are constantly introducing new kinds of pizza that can get quite creative, and have the normal staples you might expect. Even though their pizza menu is relatively small or maybe even medium sized, what you get is very good. Whatever the reason is that you come to the brewery, make sure you don't leave without a tasty pizza!
We had such a great experience here. We stopped in for a last-minute lunch after realizing it was just too cold to do a photoshoot outside at Carter Park, and the team at Bearpaw River Brewing Company was incredibly kind and accommodating. Not only was the food delicious and the atmosphere warm and welcoming, but they were gracious enough to let us pivot and do our photos inside, which truly saved the day. That flexibility and kindness meant a lot, especially on a cold Alaska afternoon. Great food, great service, and a place that genuinely supports the local community. We’re very grateful and will definitely be back.
Me and my husband love their pizza, in our opinion it’s the best in Alaska, way better than moose’s tooth. I love the meat pizza and the mushroom bacon pizza, I add pepperoni to mine and it’s so good, it does come with whole garlic cloves which I love but if you don’t like whole garlic cloves I would order something else. My husband usually gets the chicken bacon ranch with jalapenos and it is so yummy. We went on a Friday and it was so packed that there was only one table left but even with it being that busy the staff was still amazing. They were all busy staying on top of clearing tables and even came over to let us know that our pizza was in the oven and would be out soon. Our waitress was very friendly, positive and up beat, I wish I would have asked her name so I could give her a good review. I moved here in may from anchorage and was having a hard time finding good pizza but I finally found it.yes I tried KGB pizza and it was yuck! So this is our go to pizza place from here on out. Pizzas shown are the mushroom bacon add pepperoni and the supreme.
First time here, I tried the mushroom bacon pizza was pleasantly surprised that it came with garlic. It is absolutely delicious. The apple cranberry salad is amazing and I’m now on my second flight of beer and only one of them. I did not care for only because it was a little too fruity for me I like IPAs they’re all delicious great place.
Great location, wonderful selection of brews, and incredible food. We visited on a girls trip vacation. Tried a mix of beers and their root beer. Had an amazing twice baked potato pizza and the mushroom and bacon pizza. Delicious! Food was fast and facility was sharp. Definitely recommend.
Fun place with really good food, live music outdoors, good beer, and not very friendly waitresses. We had the meat lovers pizza, it was great, the buffalo wings (not too hot) a Caesar salad (it was huge) and a blonde beer (I enjoyed it). Live music outside. It's a fun little local brewpub. You'll enjoy it.
Fantastic atmosphere, pizzas and beer. I dropped in on a Saturday evening and there was a live string band playing great bluegrass & country music – looks like they have live music every weekend, at least during the summer. We ordered a couple of the special pizzas, which were both great, and I tried a couple of different IPAs, both tasty and well served. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was good. You can get beers to take away & merch too. If you go to the bathroom you can get a glimpse through to the brewing room, where all the magic happens! I can't wait to go back.
My son brought me here for dinner. Was crazy busy for a Wednesday evening, IMO. Think there was some youth event taking place. Short wait to order, a little long wait for our food. But..... damn that was good. Really nice place, good customer service, and a friendly atmosphere. Would recommend to others.
Their cranberry cream cheese chicken pizza was a surprise. I wasn't expecting anything special, but their crust is perfect, and the blend of flavors were phenomenal. Beer is great too! I'd definitely come here for pizza and beer again. Pizza is in the top 3 for Alaska! 2nd visit, had the sausage and potato pizza as well as the Pickle pizza. Our group enjoyed both pizzas, and our flights were tasty as well. This is now on our monthly visit list. Update: I've been here nearly a dozen times now, and I've yet to be disappointed. Always good food, service, and atmosphere! Thank you for continued amazing experiences.
Cozy, casual, tasty place! I wish all breweries served brick oven pizza. Super nice, friendly staff, who were totally cool with us modifying our pizza (pepperoni and bacon is a masterful combo). Great assortment of beer for a wide variety of preferences. If we lived here, we'd be here all the time.
Not only does Bearpaw River Brewing Company have an amazing selection of craft beers, but it's brick oven pizza is hands down the best pizza in the valley! Highly recommend checking out for the food! They have awesome and creative pizza selections like Pear Bacon Blue, Pickle Pizza, Spicy Hawaiian, Sausage and Potatoes, and then of course the classic flavors you would expect. This place is definitely a hidden pizza gem.
Service was fast, food was good and the atmosphere really nice. They have outdoor seating, high chairs and booths. There’s lots of parking too. The pizza dough is really great, soft and tasty. ****update** Came back for brunch. Both bagel sandwiches, pizza and beermosas were great.
This spot rocks! The drinks and pizzas are a killer combo. They cook the pizzas in front of you and it makes the place smell amazing. I got a beer mosa with their railroad beer. The seating is comfortable and the tables are perfect for games or even doing homework/business if you’re so inclined. I will definitely return in the summer to take advantage of the open seating and the open garage doors. Great vibes all around!
Absolutely delicious pizza and salad. Our family enjoyed three different pizzas and a Caesar Salad. Most of the time I am woefully disappointed at Caesar salad but Bearpaw River did a GREAT job on the portion size and their homemade dressing. Pizzas were all delicious. The potato and sausage was very good. The chicken bacon ranch and pepperoni were equally as good. Worth your time and money!
The beer is fantastic. Sadly they were out of a few of them, but I have faith they’ll be back soon. We had a dragon kiss pizza (no mushrooms) and it was phenomenal! It was also very quick to come out of their pizza oven. Didn’t partake in a salad but we saw one and it looked quite large and good. Great spot for beer and food!
Been here 4 times. Pizza, beer, and kombucha are great! Greek pizza is a fav. Bone-in wings are oddly breaded and not flavourful. Would love to see them improved.
Just a short trip from Last Frontier Brewing, Bearpaw River Brewing Company offers two great locations in Wasilla, both serving up some of the best craft beer in the area. Whether you’re stopping by the cozy East Railroad Ave spot for beer and woodfired pizza or enjoying a pint in their spacious bar with a massive outdoor area, this brewery delivers a welcoming vibe with delicious offerings. Our favorite beer here was the "Humdinger IPA", a crisp, balanced brew with subtle notes of tangerine, grapefruit, and passionfruit. It’s an excellent choice whether you’re relaxing with friends in the outdoor beer garden or catching live music in the evening. At the East Railroad Ave location, the menu goes beyond beer with tasty options like pizza, fresh salads, bagels, and even coffee. Both locations also serve refreshing craft sodas, making Bearpaw River a great spot for everyone in your group. Bearpaw River Brewing embodies the hardworking, local spirit of Wasilla with its fresh, hand-crafted ales and lagers. Whether you’re grabbing a quick pint or sitting down for a meal, it’s a fantastic spot to enjoy the best of Alaskan craft beer.
The pickle pizza is delicious, but boy do they have a hair control problem. Our first pizza had a hair baked into the cheese and the second had small curly hairs that we saw at the end of our meal 🤢
Ordered a pizza for our kids, a pizza for my husband and I and cheesy bread. Pizzas were delivered to people who came in after us before us. Cheesy bread and the husband and I pizza came out like 40 minute wait time. Took an additional 25 minutes before my kids pizza came out. Several more pizzas came out before theirs. It was absolutely freezing cold in the restaurant too. Pizza crust on one of the our pizzas was completely doughy. Not a good experience. For the price not worth it. We won’t be back.
Ordered 3 pizza for pickup at a 5:15. Not even remotely warm. They must have cooked them an hour earlier. Shoe leather pizza sucks. I would gladly wait 10-15 for my pizzas rather than what I got. Absolutely awful.
