I work in Anchorage and Wasilla, Crazy Moose is a definite go-to. Home made bread/ cookies, fresh ingredients, served with kindness and a smile.

While passing through Wasilla on our visit to Alaska, I had the Italian sub (without peppers) and it was absolutely perfect. The bread had a wonderfully flaky outside while staying soft inside, the meats and cheese were fresh and flavorful, and the balance of spices, oil, and vinegar was spot on. Every bite had that classic Italian sub taste done just right. Krazy Moose Subs is a must-stop.

All the hype is true. It really is a delicious sub. Super good bread and piled high. I ordered a ten inch and definitely did not need to, only ate half! It’s was busy but staff was polite and kept the ordering process moving; when I didn’t order a drink they offered a water cup which I appreciated. Neat historic photos and Alaska decor and ample seating upstairs and down. Would be great to get to-go on your way to an hike or adventure!

We ordered the meatball and the chicken bacon ranch. Very yummy. Well worth the money. House made bread and so many other things. The meatball was like a little sleeping bag of meatballs. It made me so cozy. The white chocolate cranberry cookie was soft and delicious.

What is not to like. The place is in a historic building, subs that will break your arms lifting them, quality ingredient and good selection.Staff was fresh and friendly, cookies are huge, made different in thickness and size, but pleasant. A must stop!

i have been coming here since i was a kid. the BEST bread in the world — the BEST sandwiches in the world!!! i usually get the turkey club. their dressing on the veggies is a perfect ratio and you can get 4 servings of sandwich out of their large. exceptional the next day even, the bread holds up!! i was home for a couple weeks and absolutely had to bring my partner here and he agreed that the sandwiches here are an institution.

Visited late August 2024. Got a full size 10" sub and two bottled drinks. With tip the total was just under $20. Staff were friendly, food was delicious, atmosphere was casual. I found their 10" sub to be just as filling as a Subway footlong but the Krazy Moose sub tasted much better. If I lived near this place I would eat there often.

Neat little place. I ordered a 5” Italian and potato salad. The sub was very good. The potato salad tasted like it was prepackaged (I don’t think they make it there, but I could be wrong). The total for my meal with a fountain drink was around $17

We have tried this place a few times now and so far every time has been great 🙂 My husband and I usually get a cheese steak and split it. However, this time we switched it up ordered the cheese steak and the roast beef. I swapped out the provolone cheese for cheddar and added bacon. The bacon was a thick cut and well-done just the way I make it at home, yum! Although they were pretty busy, our wait time wasn't very long. Good job guys!

Best of the local sub/sandwich shops. Historic building with inviting and happy employees. Had probably the best meatball sub I have ever had. Big meatballs, melty cheese and some yum marinara on a soft, warm roll. Prices were fair for amount and quality. Do recommend, will eat again, 10/10.

The wait time wasn't bad considering I walked in without calling ahead. I was there in the mid-afternoon and would highly recommend calling ahead if you want anything during the lunch rush. Their bread is made fresh daily and is really good. Not too right and not too crusty. The meatball sub is FULL of meatballs! The sauce isn't anything amazingly awesome but it's still really good. The cheese steak sub comes jammed with meat and veggies. And the cookies are HUGE! Worth the money and then some. We will be back!

They make their own bread. I did not see gluten free options. I had a grilled chicken salad with ranch dressing. It was good, large, and filling. I would return for the salad.

Went in after the lunch rush and got my sandwich really quick. The chicken was really chewy and slightly off-putting. The rest of the sandwich was excellent. The bread was soft and fresh.

You are getting skinny on your sandwiches. We have been patrons for many years and the provolone slices you can see thru and the meat slices are about the same as subway. Bread is still good. Paid $52 today for a 20 inch Italian and 10 inch Turkey expecting a loaded sandwich, but not so. Will leave it at that.

Their subs are usually good, however more recently we have been a bit disappointed. Me and my co workers (there is 4 of us) are gluten free and always get their gluten free wraps which of course they charge you extra for but it’s understandable. There has been several times in our more recent visits, where they didn’t wrap then very well and made them literally impossible to eat or enjoy, falling apart and everything falling out. However, when they do it right, everything stays together down to the last bite. The combo of club is our favorite, the rest are okay to mediocre. The biggest dislikes is the avocado on the turkey wrap, which is a guacamole and if is always funky. I’m not a fan of the hot pastrami on a wrap, perhaps it is better in a sub, but it comes out a terrible, almost slimy texture on the gluten free wraps. Besides that most of what is on the menu is decent. Like I mentioned before, all 4 of us get the gluten free wraps when we go here, even when I take my little ones we get the gluten free wraps, however every time we have gone in lately they have been out of stock. It’s been many, many weeks now. Kind of a waste of the trip there. The last time we went the gal said they could do a lettuce wrap instead. I said okay, until I saw she was going to charge me 2.99 extra! I pointed it out to my co-works on the screen. I asked about it and she said “yeah, we charge for that!” My co-worker pointed out it was lettuce though. (Even a regular wrap costs more than a few leafs of lettuce) so why charge extra? We declined and went elsewhere, where we have made our new regular Monday, Wednesday, Friday spot. Thanks for all the wraps in the past anyways Krazy Moose.

This used to be the best and my favorite sandwich spot in town. It’s gone severely downhill. Maybe it’s just the hot subs… but it was so soggy the bread felt like it was soaked in water before the sandwich was made. I picked out the chicken and gave it to my dog but I don’t think I’ll ever be back here :(

This place has gone downhill dramatically. Their sandwich barely has any meat in them anymore. I was kind of irritated to have paid 20$ for a 10" inch sandwich, hard bread, they also changed their bread for much smaller ones so they can give you the least meat possible to save money, soggy at the bottom, barely filled with meat. Can't even bother using fresh mushrooms instead of canned ones. Yes i know the difference. Cheap as it gets. Prices really are not worth what you pay for anymore. It's sad because they used to be good. Won't be going back that's for sure.

I ordered a sandwich and the meat on that sandwich was expired making my kids really sick. I ordered the sandwich five minutes before they closed and when I noticed the meat was bad I called them but they were already gone for the day. When I came back the next day to get the sandwich dealt with, they said they could not do anything about it because it was already the next day. Would not recommend, horrible management

Rude service, people who ordered after us got food first. Worst canned split pea and ham ever! My wife’s Italian bmt had 6 little pieces of meat.
