Five star rating based on follow up contact with the manager, Heather regarding a previous not so pleasant dining experience. Heather's support and ability to resolve was awesome !!! Sarah was also a great server despite the food served. Will return in the future with the guest gift certificate and offer for a meal by Heather to retain a customer. Overall restaurant atmosphere was good also.

My husband and I started going to Applebee's for date nights. Marie (the bartender) is the best. She is the reason that we keep coming back. She is very friendly and gives exceptional service. Don’t eat out much, but i know 5 star service when I see it. My server Renae took care of me the whole way, Absolutely no problem at all. I walked in for a party of 1 and felt VERY WELCOMED, the people and workers will make sure you feel like you at home with a made to do everything for you and NO QUESTIONS ASKED. The restaurant was very clean, food came out fresh and hot. NO PROBABLES AT ALL. For sure will return with no questions asked. Keep up the great work.

I guess the waiter was waiting for all the plates to come out leaving some sitting. My food and my BF food was cold so we packed it to go. Manager walked by and asked of everything was ok and I told her kind of and explained what happened. She offered to remake the food but we were already walking out and it took more then 30mins to get our original order to begin with. She offer a gc and I agreed. Have the waiters ask if we want to wait or can she bring the plates as the come because sirloin steak with cheese and shrimp on top cold is gross and chips and fish cold is already gross. But I will be back to dine in again as we love this place. It won't always be a great experience but I'm glad the manager at least tried to solve it in the moment

Hubs and I went for the all you can eat meal. There was a wait when we arrived, which is to be expected in the evening on a Saturday. Hostesses were awesome! We were offered bar seating for immediate service and took it. Bar staff were wonderful and attentive. Food and cocktails were delicious! "Refills" on our meal were slow to come out, even after ordering them right when our first plate came out. (Again, busy night). Refill portions seemed small, but since they were bottomless, we ate our fill.

Ali was our server tonight. We had a group of 10 today for my son’s 8th birthday. I normally don’t do reviews for restaurants. My regular thing is just over tipping, lol. but Ali really went above and beyond for our family and my son, specifically. We are kind of needy people and Ali provided us awesome care and service while the restaurant was fairly packed. Even though she was in the weeds, she made us feel like the only people there. I have medical issues, and she was SO attentive. Honestly, this was one of our best experiences here as we frequently visit this location. We will always ask for Ali now! Tonight Applebees threw us an amazing event, for our son fighting cancer. They did a superhero trivia, 50/50, raffled off donated gift baskets and is also donating 20% of everyone’s bills, that ate there from 4-9 on this day. Everything was absolutely amazing. From the staff, to the service and managers. We couldn’t have asked for a better turn out and evening. They went above and beyond for us and we are more than appreciative!! This is one of my favorite Applebee's! Every time we go to this location we are greeted by awesome hostess like Becca and have never had a bad server.

Came during peak lunch hour. The food was better than the service, unfortunately for us. Our poor waitress was overwhelmed by too many tables & left out certain obvious items like straws & napkins. Our wait time to finish up was extended due to the fact that she had over 5 tables plus a party of 8 or more I saw. She handled it all with outstanding attitude, but couldn’t help but to miss the basics. We left over 20% gratuity for the sake of the poor woman’s efforts, she deserved it. This is my personal opinion about the restaurant industry & I Hate to say, that’s this is how most chains are these days. over-running their service staff due to labor cuts & I’m sure the kitchen staff is just as much busy. All in all, we are likely to give it another try, this restaurant is a Downriver, Mi staple & one we’ve known for years. I hope to return soon with a better outcome! Thank you

50% of the tables were empty. We were told 1 1/2 hour wait. Absurd!! When we asked the manager about this wait she told us the kitchen was so far behind on orders that they could take anymore new orders. Terrible answer. We finally got a table and wait staff was great. Our food came out fine. There was no need to make us wait for so long for a table.

Mindy at the bar is on point. She took my order promptly and communicated the details of my order to the cooks perfectly. Everything I asked her for was delivered to me quickly. My most recent visit to Applebees in Taylor left a lot to be desired as far as the quality of the food preparation. Everything was burned. The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is because the service was still very good. I would rather wait a few extra minutes for my food to be prepared properly rather than getting it tasting like charcoal. Cooks! Take your time and slow down. It isn’t any faster if people have to send it back to be prepared properly.

My overall experience was great no complaints. It was very weird that they were serving drinks out of foam cups. I was informed that they ran out of their regular glass or plastic cups. They are short staffed and you can tell the workers are overworked and frustrated. The food was mid! Not what I expected, and the strawberry margaritas barely had any alcohol in them.

Went to Applebees after church. Food was flavorful, but the chicken tortilla soup, it was good but overpriced for the small portion. 5.99 for a small portion. My wife like the fish and the burger was tasty but again overpriced in my opinion. Salt and pepper shakers were almost empty. Restaurant was clean.

Our family of 4 waited 20 minutes for an appetizer and another 25 for our entrees on a slow Monday night. My oriental chicken salad came out on a dirty plate with a plethora of brown lettuce. After informing the manager she said "Oh, I'm sorry" and walked away. Did not offer any remake or discount. Asked for shrimp on the steak and was not given but sure was charged for it. The chicken plate was supposed to be "smothered" in sautéed mushrooms i maybe had 3 small pieces under the chicken. The kids meals or room temperature at best. After being served this food we had to wait an additional 10 minutes for silverware! Overall horrible experience. If you can not take the customers and have better service then I suggest closing. Waiting is one thing but Everton else shouldn't have transpired.

This place is an absolute Trainwreck. 630 walked in to a place more than half empty yet had a 25 minute wait. Server didn't come to table for another 15. Waited forever for food. Only to receive burnt cold fries and over fried burnt what was supposed to be chicken tenders looked more like bottom of the bag nugget chunks and pieces. Burger was undercooked. Chicken Parm was soggy. Barely saw the waitress because she was too busy talking to another table. Got uncomfortably close and oddly squatted at our table which was awkward. Brought wrong drinks. Waited 15 min again for the bill. The amount this place has gone downhill at such a rapid pace is disappointing. For what should have been an hour to sit, order, eat, pay.....took 2 hours. Crazy. Will not be back to this location, and probably staying away from the others as well.

came in here around 5:20 on 7/26. they weren't very busy so we were sat immediately. no one came over for a few minutes so my wife and I began to speculate as to which waitress was ours since about 4 had walked past us without saying a word since we sat down. after about 10 minutes of waiting we left. i knew better than to come into this Applebee's. every single time i have been in here the service has been horrible. thank you for reminding me NOT to come back .

We stopped in for a quick dinner on a Wednesday night. There were *maybe 5 tables of guests, a few people around the bar, and a couple waiting to be seated. We were told there was a 20 minute wait in a nearly empty restaurant. On our last trip to this location, we experienced a similar wait time to be seated, and the wait for our food was extremely long considering the empty restaurant. We left once we realized this trip would also mean a 20 minute wait to be seated, and another 30+minutes to get our meal. I realize it is hard to get/keep staff, but if you cannot seat and feed people in a timely manner, it's time to close up shop. Again, this wasn't a Sunday afternoon, or a Friday night. This was a empty restaurant on a Wednesday.

Ordered off of doordash. I can't believe I paid this much for such little portions of food. I added mushrooms to my steak and that was forgotten. My French onion soup was less than a cup and cheese wasn't even melted. My husband had a trio and he almost couldn't eat it because someone got crazy with the salt. It's been awhile since I have had Applebee's and I won't anymore this dinner was horrible and over sixty dollars. Highway robbery.
